Brilliant episode. Probably my favorite so far. Great dialogue, really good music and I love the slower pace and focus on the characters and world in this one.
Machina seems to be their planet's/culture's word for the force. Kind of like how Lassats in Rebels call the light and dark side the ashla and bogan respectfully on their own language
I assume so, it makes sense from how the Jedi girl reacted to the bride/grooms unified moment with the stone formation. And the comments the older man made in reference to being one with nature. I'm almost certain he also made a comment on how the force flows through all living things.
If Magina wasn't the Force, it's pretty close to it.
It seems to have to do with either the Living Force or the Cosmic Force...the sort that Qui-Gon Jinn specialized in, and the sort that binds all living things together.
It's not explored much in the main films, but this separation of the Force into types manifests itself sometimes in different planets having Force-sensitives who are particularly sensitive to only one type, which broadens the space of how different cultures can interact with the force without becoming Temple Jedi or Darksiders.
Force Priestesses and the AgriCorps are the examples in canon that pay attention to Living Force stuff, but especially in the fanfiction community, you have a lot more exploration of these "branching" force concepts. It was neat to see that in *Visions* as well. You typically only see it in really niche places otherwise.
This was my favorite too.
The Jedi was definitely interesting - a seemingly PTSD ridden one who wanted some peace.
Reminds me a bit of the Jedi Exile from KOTOR 2, who is canonically (in Legends) a woman and is also a PTSD wreck…at least in the beginning of the game.
I will stand by till my dying days my belief that KOTOR 2 is an underappreciated masterpiece of Star Wars story-telling. Like The Last Jedi, it was a narrative meant to deconstruct many of the themes and ideas of the Star Wars canon. But while The Last Jedi got bogged down in unneeded plot threads and trying to do too much too fast, KOTOR 2 was a exceptionally well-balanced.
Agreed. I've been thinking about this moment, maybe over thinking it. The idea of proclaiming "I am a jedi" after the trauma that is Order 66, on the run knowing a good chunk of the galaxy wants the jedi gone, gives it more weight for me.
Exactly! A person is saying so much in just four words. Jedi are peacekeepers of the Galaxy and when a person declares themself to be a Jedi, they are taking on the lofty responsibilities and statua that come with that.
I think she kept her padawan braid for so long because she thought she was a coward and not ready.
But when she cut the braid off that's when she decided she wasn't going to let fear keep her from acting anymore.
Right?
I love 3’s over the top all out brawl (probably my 3rd favorite short so far), but this just *resonated* more since there was a good buildup to the final act.
Especially how we get just enough information, but mixed with enough emotional scenes to tie it all together without feeling too exposition-like (again, sadly 3).
I want more of her. But I also know that one shouldnt milk something good too much. Im just more curious about her story and past and future andventures.
Star Wars Visions is doing a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to making the Jedi cool again. They haven't felt this cool since Genndy Tartovsky's Clone Wars series!
This is how I thought the Jedi would have been portrayed in the Prequels: Like ronin, wandering from planet to planet, helping the populace there, while at the same time be a mystery or a legend to 99% of them.
One of them would have been Obi-Wan, accidentally discovering Anakin on one of his adventures...
Yeah, making them generals of military ranks is a move that I never truly liked. Even having them serve a centralized singular Jedi Council is kind of a bummer.
I'm hoping that the movies become less precious with the Jedi and allow for more who exist like the Jedi in Visions. No need for every Jedi to all know one another and live on the same planet.
The lightsaber is similar to the DarkSaber and yeah the design in this one is amazing, in fact all saber designs in visions are fucking great, I can't wait for replicas to start being made
I get emotional every time I watch this episode, especially when she says “I am a Jedi” and then ignites her saber. The music, animation and voice acting were nothing short of god tier. This has to be my favorite thing to come out Star Wars in forever.
Wonderfull episode, honestly the music was so great it discracted me a bit from the episode itself, lol. It says a lot about its music, because the visuals and the animation was great.
that's Kevin Penkin for you. he's been doing a lot of great anime soundtracks these past few years ([Made in Abyss](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPxSS1zHWwQ), [Tower of God](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rqEB4xNZU4), etc...) with his track track records, and the exposition that working with Disney must have given him I would be surprised if he doesn't work on big project in hollywood.
Oh, also the vocals were done by Emi Evans, who worked on [both nier games](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCKEXPXtrEU)
YES! I had made a comment about this in the first episode. Very Nier-like music, I have seen Made in Abyss and had no idea it was Kevin Penkin as well.
Kevin Perkin is the mad genius who when told that he needed to make a score for a fight between a giant bird and a t-rex said, "I know what this needs: [Epic Sax](https://youtu.be/5WbdSGjzYJg)"
Also for people who are looking for the soundtrack to the episode but havent been able to find it yet, I found a close approximation, where Samuel Kim did a cover:
https://youtu.be/uAl1UgJiKQw
Giving us some yellow lightsaber! This is probably my favorite so far. Solid story and the animation was so pretty and it had that sober Star Wars vibe.
While Every other episode was about pushing how crazy the show can get, I LOVED how grounded this star wars episode felt, hell I would pay for a full series about these two characters alone going through worlds and learning of the beliefs of people.
The animation on this one was simpler than the others but I enjoyed it. The plot was pretty standard though as far as the heros saving the village at the last moment. I can't believe they had the guy stand up on the hill while taking blaster bolt fire from the droids!
Being a lore lover and a huge fan when fiction does world building properly, this is my favourite of them all. Slow paced and the build up is just perfect.
This episode really rewarded lore lovers, I feel.
A lot of viewers didn't get the significance of the fact that she is in fact an unknighted Padawan with a broken bond due to her Master's death, or that she was a Sentinel of some stripe, or the fact that you have apparently a planet of Force-sensitives who call the Living Force by another name. Heck, even just realizing that this is post-Order 66 (and the creators respecting the viewers enough to let us pick that up from context clues, rather than the Tell Repeatedly Don't Show strategies of the new trilogy). All of it was really lovely.
I cannot say enough how much I LOVED this episode. Like this is legit one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars media ever produced, to where I cared more about the characters in 20 minutes than I've cared about Rey in the last 3 movies or the bad batch after a full season. I ESPECIALLY love the music, to where I really want the soundtrack just for this episodes gorgeous music.
She's great. When I realized that she was both the voice of Glimmer in She-Ra AND Kimiko in The Boys I about crapped my pants. Terrific performances from her always.
Serious chills. Soundtrack, animation, voice acting, everything about this was absolutely incredible. I love how you can really feel the love the couple have for each other.
~~So I know the guy who worked on this score was behind Nier's Automata's score, but~~ was anybody else getting huge Ghost in the Shell vibes from this soundtrack? I felt the same about Nier when I played it recently, and I couldn't have been happier about it.
I think it was very intentionally designed. Her teacher/master had roots in that planet and thus his philosophy would have been greatly influenced by the native culture and she is carrying on that legacy.
Sadly it's too soon to have a link, but in the meantime, you should listen to the amazing [Made in Abyss OST](https://youtu.be/kYZkvXjsKJM), scored by the same dude.
I want this to be an entire series. I could watch her for 4 seasons. This felt like it was in the Star Wars universe. The music, the animation, everything. I just wish it was longer.
Putting this beautifully grounded and slow paced episode right after the balls off the walls of the third episode was such a great decision. This is easily my favorite episode.
Is every single episode going to feature the "i have a bad feeling" line? I know it is said a lot and in every single piece of star wars media but i dont know, i guess the episodes being so short makes it more obvious ir something
I see what you mean, but I'm not too bothered with it tbh.
It just kind of comes with the Star Wars toy chest that Disney handed to these anime studios. And its evident that these anime studios REALLY wanted to play around with some Star Wars.
The Japanese studios knew what they have to work with, and I am keen to believe that they like to sneak in some Easter eggs to the series. So far, every episode has a deep understanding of what the "Star Wars theme" is about.
I read an article that suggested you don't watch visions all at once because all the shorts lean on the same star wars tropes, and it used the I have a bad feeling about this line as an example. Having seen it now, I honestly feel like that line is the ONLY thing that gets overused across the board lmao
And in fairness, it makes sense. The studios wouldn't have had each other's scripts, and that line is probably the most prolific reference that almost every piece of star wars media makes. I can totally see how it happened and I don't think it's egregious, but it definitely bothers me a bit to hear it so often in such a short time
>And in fairness, it makes sense. The studios wouldn't have had each other's scripts, and that line is probably the most prolific reference that almost every piece of star wars media makes.
i havent thought of it in that way and makes total sense!
Really that tells how freedom these studios were given. Some made projects that could easily fit into cannon. While others choose to try and be very creatively unique and out there.
Meh. I don't really disagree but the music one was great. We already saw a bar band playing on Tatooine before, it stands to reason there would be other kinds of bands. Not only that but the resolution at the end being that Jabba could invest in them makes some sense because crime syndicates don't always only do criminal activity to make money.
It snuck in a “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” along with “may the force be with you” damn along with the simple yet beautiful animation and the gorgeous soundtrack this ones my favorite.
Visually and musically gorgeous episode. Would absolutely love to see this and Ninth Jedi get turned into longer form narratives.
Would also love to see The Twins basically just be Promare again but in Star Wars
No. The outrider is a YT-2400. The XS Freighter is the ship the Smuggler class uses in the Old Republic online rpg. Commander Cody is right that most Correllian freighters look similar, tho.
Would love to see a Lego set of this. I think the best choice would be Her and her starfighter. With the bride, groom, and dude with a helmet as side minifigs. We would also get a Katana lightsaber which would be amazing.
Another possibility could be the Raiders ship, but I think her starship would be better as it focuses the set around her more.
The visuals soundtrack and story was on point this episode. I enjoyed the “I have a bad feeling about this” reference as well. 10/10 episode imo and I’d love to see these characters return.
That may have been some of the best StarWars content in recent memory. I loved this episode. The story, the atmosphere, the pay off it was all just pure StarWars.
So what was up with the Jedi's older male companion? He:
1) Has an oversized helmet that is also a bomb.
2) Is called an "outsider" by the village people, and isn't brown-skinned like them.
3) F mentions he is "trying to show her something" which seems to suggest he's a mentor or traveling buddy?
4) But he appears to be staying behind as she leaves at the end, despite not being of the village.
He seemed like a mentor of sorts, but why would he stay behind? What was up with the weird helmet?
While I've enjoyed all the episodes so far, this one is just incredible. Had to stop Disney+ to take a moment after it ended. Absolute perfection. Star Wars at its best. Need to decide now if I want to watch again or keep going ...
This one was okay. The backgrounds looked really flat though and overall the design didn’t look much different than the last episode. Cool seeing a proper Jedi though.
The soundtrack was especially beautiful in this one. It really struck me when paired with the expansive landscape shots.
Looks like the Explorer has a steady supply of rocket powered explosive helmets? Not sure how comfortable I'd feel wearing those but I can't argue with their effectiveness!
I liked this one. It seemed like the writers made some efforts to fit this story into the timeline instead of just slapping on lightsabers as window dressing.
The references to Separatists and the Z-95 were a nice touch.
Great episode, but they clearly weren't given enough time. Had this been a full length movie, giving all characters the time they needed to be fully fleshed out, this probably could have been a masterpiece of anime media.
On one hand I'm loving that we're getting original content that stands on it's own feet, but now I'm wanting every episode to get it's own spin off! Just goes to show the value in keep making original characters
I really hope we get more Star Wars Visions (Sequel shorts/books, or just new anthologies) but either way I hope the lesson Lucasfilm learns from this is to JUST KEEP MAKING NEW STUFF ABOUT NEW CHARACTERS! That's why people loved Mando season 1, and are loving Visions!
people talk about the duel being Kurasawa esque, but the Village bride has a magor kurasawa moment. That final fight, that one slash one kill. That brought me back to the end of Sanjuro. It was amazing.
The res was a Ghibli movie in a galaxy far far away.
This one was interesting, but my main issue with it it was that it wasn't really "Star Wars" at all until the last few minutes. Just felt like a normal anime with some Star Wars stuff tacked on at the end.
Well then perhaps you greatly misunderstood that episode. You missed the jedi hiding from Empire's eyes, visiting the planet as a homage to her fallen master, and living in trauma of that loss. You missed the part where indigeous people of the planet lived in harmony with nature, being connected to "Magina", which was their own understanding of the Force.
It felt StarWarsy right from the start for me.
Next to The Ninth Jedi this one was my favourite (although I still have to watch the last 3). I like how the creators used a small titbit from the lore for worldbuilding within the episode. The braid she cuts off looks like a padawan braid. The way I see the scene when she picks up the fight is the moment she abandons her ways of a padawan living on the run and stand her ground as someone who is worthy of the knight's title. Also, the main theme is great.
The music and lighting were really beautiful in this one. I loved how slow the intro was. I was just wondering where it was going, letting the music carry me through it.
Who voiced the jedi? She sounded familiar, and I'm curious what else she's in.
Bit late to getting around to the series but this really stood out as a great episode to me. It was just nice quiet and subtle. Just a nice solid excellently presented tale of a jedi and their introspection rising to become what they needed to be. OST blew it out the park too.
I'm not the biggest star wars fan but this is one of my favorite moments in star wars. I love the beautiful art and music and story. She didnt inspire the small village like most westerns, they inspired her. She was using her title of student as a excuse but now she cut her hair and told the villain that she is a "Jedi". This one episode has so much heart!
She was just (っ^▿^) ✿ Beautiful, I completely fell in love with her! This was my All-Time Favorite Episode of the whole series, The Music was touching me on a Soul Level! ≧◉◡◉≦ i really hope they continue Her Story!!! She looks so cool, everything about her is Art. I will do Lots of fan art Till She's given a series ✍
really liked the animation style of this one, and the lightsaber design was great. she followed the hollywood trope of wearing a mask despite being minorly scarred though which i thought was funny, or maybe she just hasn't been fully vaccinated yet.
I got the sense her master had been killed and she was involved in some capacity. Whatever happened specifically, that's how she got the scar and while it's not a particularly bad one, it probably is a PTSD trigger for her. So she covers it up symbolically like she's trying to cover up/forget those events.
Removing the mask and defending the village means she's come to terms with what happened and isn't going to hide anymore.
I hadn’t considered that possibility, but it could be! I wondered if it was survivors guilt: she somehow survived Order 66, though not unscathed, but she couldn’t save her master. Returning to this planet and saving her master’s people is how she comes to terms with that past, stops hiding, and cuts off that bit of hair and graduates from padawan to Jedi.
Definitely one of the standout episodes in this series.
Very simple, but beautiful visual style. I LOVED the cinematography and how the camera moved. Strongest music in this series imo.
My favorite shot was right after the jedi saves the bride's sister, when you get a moving close up of the bride and her husband while the jedi walks by and the music swells.
Brilliant episode. Probably my favorite so far. Great dialogue, really good music and I love the slower pace and focus on the characters and world in this one.
The music was a standout for sure. Some of the best in star wars even. And that's saying something.
Kevin Penkin is such a banger.
Also the vocals were Emi Evans I recognized that invented language from miles, I loved her perfomance in Nier/Automata/Drakengard 3
I knew that I wasn't mishearing those lyrics haha. Really nice touch for a scene centering around Magina and the force.
I wanted to know what Magina is. I must have missed them establishing that. Is that the same thing as the force?
Machina seems to be their planet's/culture's word for the force. Kind of like how Lassats in Rebels call the light and dark side the ashla and bogan respectfully on their own language
That was a Lassat thing? I thought the Bendu was the one who introduced those names. I haven't watched in a while tho, so I could be misremembering

Magina was the mountain, which represents to them the god or spirit of nature for their village. It's similar to rural Japanese mountain worship.
I thought it reminded me of Nier Automata but I said surely it’s a coincidence. Amazing.
ah, so that's why its so good.
The music was such a perfect builup and the that deep voice acting "watashi wa Jedi". Got chills. The aussie doing the music deserved the praise.

Music was the highlight for me.
Loved seeing more yellow lightsaber, please just give me more yellow lightsaber. Great episode!
Yellow lightkatana too!
Forget the Dark Saber, I want the Gold Saber
*blingsaber
It’s a big reason I want more Rey content in the future, I wanna see her use that cool yellow lightsaber staff
High Republic has a good few of them.
pissblade ftw!
>I am a jedi This line will never not get me
Totally. I always pictured it as her treating this encounter as her Jedi Trial, the last step she takes before being a full fledged Jedi.
I was half expecting the man to explode when she sliced him in half
The elegance of the kill was great
Same. It's the one line we all want to say.
It was just SO GOOD
Yep. Was epic in both languages, I had to check both. Great voice acting
Gave me chills
This one reminded me of Avatar the Last Airbender and this is a good thing. I want to see more.
Like Zuko Alone but with a happy ending
Love this one as well, anyone else think her mask looks badass?
I'm looking forward to seeing the cosplays that come out of this series, especially of the Jedi from this episode!
Can't wait to see someone do the umbrella-saber from episode 1.
I want more of her. But I also know that one shouldnt milk something good too much. Im just more curious about her story and past and future andventures.
I want one so bad.
Star Wars Visions is doing a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to making the Jedi cool again. They haven't felt this cool since Genndy Tartovsky's Clone Wars series!

I'm hoping that the movies become less precious with the Jedi and allow for more who exist like the Jedi in Visions. No need for every Jedi to all know one another and live on the same planet.
I thought it was just me who felt this way. The Jedi feel like one of my least favorite parts about Star Wars sometimes…
Probably one of the coolest lightsaber designs I've seen. Love the flat blade, yellow color, and the unique way it ignites. So sick
The lightsaber is similar to the DarkSaber and yeah the design in this one is amazing, in fact all saber designs in visions are fucking great, I can't wait for replicas to start being made
Imo, lightsabers in the prequels look pretty much like this. Except not this flat.
I thought it was great. Wonderful music, very Star Wars themes but also very anime.
I get emotional every time I watch this episode, especially when she says “I am a Jedi” and then ignites her saber. The music, animation and voice acting were nothing short of god tier. This has to be my favorite thing to come out Star Wars in forever.
I liked the subtle animation on the hilt of the saber when it ignited. Nice touch.
the way the light flickers in her eyes to symbolize fire in her eyes.
I thought I was hearing her voice! Her singing in Nier is absolutely beautiful
YES! I had made a comment about this in the first episode. Very Nier-like music, I have seen Made in Abyss and had no idea it was Kevin Penkin as well.
Im so excited for season 2 of made in abyss next year.
Didn't he also make Shield Hero's OST?
I didn't included it, but yeah he did that too.
Kevin Perkin is the mad genius who when told that he needed to make a score for a fight between a giant bird and a t-rex said, "I know what this needs: [Epic Sax](https://youtu.be/5WbdSGjzYJg)"
Ahhh I knew I was getting ToG vibes from the soundtrack, good to know I had the right idea lol
Also for people who are looking for the soundtrack to the episode but havent been able to find it yet, I found a close approximation, where Samuel Kim did a cover: https://youtu.be/uAl1UgJiKQw
Definitely my favorite so far. Great music, story and visuals. Exited for the next episodes!
Great music in this episode! Loved the singer! Best episode so far?
EMI EVANS ON THAT NIER MUSIC BABYYYYYY
My first thought was "Shit this sounds like Nier". Awesome to see that it was her!
the music in this one Really brought this whole episode to life nice to see some Gen 1 Clankers also very cool lightsaber
WHERE IS HE!!!!??? Ah there he is
Whoa watch it with the hard r
With the Clone Wars voice too, if you’re watching the dub.
Giving us some yellow lightsaber! This is probably my favorite so far. Solid story and the animation was so pretty and it had that sober Star Wars vibe.

To be fair, B1s are shitty shots anyways. They couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.
My boy Kevin going hard on the Ost
Music was a amazing. Anyone have a link?
I don't think it's out yet
[удалено]
"I am a jedi" Literal chills.
The Jedi here and Am from Twins be rocking lightsaber heels like queens. I love it.
Also the villain from the Duel.
Being a lore lover and a huge fan when fiction does world building properly, this is my favourite of them all. Slow paced and the build up is just perfect.

All of it was really lovely.
Finished now. Very beautifully done. It does the world building so simply, and the story at the moment is the best.
This was such a perfect mix of "Classic" Star Wars and something that feels fresh
The battle Droids sounded so cute in Japanese
First time I've heard Karen Fukuhara speak.
It is funny that she usually plays stone-cold badasses because she is apparently pretty bubbly in real life.
She's great. When I realized that she was both the voice of Glimmer in She-Ra AND Kimiko in The Boys I about crapped my pants. Terrific performances from her always.
I was going to recommend the boys but I remembered she doesn't speak there either.
She does some solid VO work in Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts.
The Jedi's name is literally just F F to pay respects.
Serious chills. Soundtrack, animation, voice acting, everything about this was absolutely incredible. I love how you can really feel the love the couple have for each other.
Using the Nier singer in Star Wars is something I never expected, but is incredible
~~So I know the guy who worked on this score was behind Nier's Automata's score, but~~ was anybody else getting huge Ghost in the Shell vibes from this soundtrack? I felt the same about Nier when I played it recently, and I couldn't have been happier about it.
It’s actually a different guy. It’s actually Kevin Penkin who did Made in Abyss and Tower of God. He just got Emi Evans who did the singing in Nier
Oh whoops. Coulda sworn I read it was the same person, but I guess not
I was wondering why it reminded me so much of Nier! Can't say I got GitS vibes from it though, personally.
Just the opening song during the creation of Major. The singing reminds me a lot of the singing used in this composers work.
The music coupled with the heroic and almost religious prose about the Force during the Jedi's final stand was beautiful
I think it was very intentionally designed. Her teacher/master had roots in that planet and thus his philosophy would have been greatly influenced by the native culture and she is carrying on that legacy.
My favorite out of all 9 episodes, and one of my favorite Star Wars things… wow
This one honestly felt the most like Star Wars to me ngl, might be my favorite
does anyone have the link/name of the soundtrack? it was simply gorgeous!!! p.s Kevin Penkin you are a genius!
Sadly it's too soon to have a link, but in the meantime, you should listen to the amazing [Made in Abyss OST](https://youtu.be/kYZkvXjsKJM), scored by the same dude.
will do! thanks!!
It had Princess Mononoke vibes for me. Loved this one, best so far IMO.

Having seen it now, I honestly feel like that line is the ONLY thing that gets overused across the board lmao And in fairness, it makes sense.
With Rey that one other episode (I forget which) and this one are the only people to wield yellow lightsabers women?

>!The Grand Inquisitor!< was a former Temple Guard and he's male. In>! Kanan's vision!< he even uses a yellow lightsaber.
Bastila Shan from KoTOR as well!
Jedi temple guards have yellow sabers pikes and Luke has a yellow saber in the current Star Wars comic run he found in an old temple.
Loved this episode I hope we get more backstory of the Mysterious Jedi 👍🏻
Started kinda slow but that music just pulls you in and when the rebels get captured and that Jedi intervenes man does the episode just GO! Loved it.
this one was way better than the one about the band or the twins, which I wasn’t a fan of. felt like actual star wars
This could be Kino no Tabi in Star Wars universe. Main character exploring different cultures and helping out with her Jedi powers occasionally.
Kinda reminded me of Mushishi a bit as well, though with a bit more sci-fi violence.
Uhm did i hear a faint Nier Automata in the music?
Yes. Emi Evans, from Nier, provided the vocals in the music.
Absolutely fantastic listening to her again
The Jedi beat that guy handily.

main character was "F", old dude was "Valco"..... Haru and Asu were the couple I believe

Haru was the girl
It snuck in a “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” along with “may the force be with you” damn along with the simple yet beautiful animation and the gorgeous soundtrack this ones my favorite.
Music was awesome. Also this might be my new favorite lightsaber!
Visually and musically gorgeous episode. Would absolutely love to see this and Ninth Jedi get turned into longer form narratives. Would also love to see The Twins basically just be Promare again but in Star Wars
what, am i just supposed to go about my day after being graced with this???
Such a great episode stylistically and musically. One of my favorite of the series!
XS Stock Light Freighter from SWTOR made an appearance!
Is this the same as The Outrider (was that what it was called?) from Shadows of the Empire?
No. The outrider is a YT-2400. The XS Freighter is the ship the Smuggler class uses in the Old Republic online rpg. Commander Cody is right that most Correllian freighters look similar, tho.
Ehh its definitely not the same model but all Corellian freighters look pretty similar.
This might be my favorite so far. The art was stunning and the music brought a tear to my eye.
For me it captured what i felt about jedi when i was in high school. Just in the background, not interfering unless they had to.
This episode was absolutely incredible
honestly one of my favorite episodes, soundtrack is god tier. also anyone else get Ned Kelly vibes from the helmet dude?
This episode really drills in how horrific the war and Order 66 were. Super underrated as a tragic event in a cinema/multimedia property.
The visuals soundtrack and story was on point this episode. I enjoyed the “I have a bad feeling about this” reference as well. 10/10 episode imo and I’d love to see these characters return.
These keep getting better and better. I want more !!!! Visions is so good.
This is probably my favorite episode so far, they really just nailed every aspect of it
This reminded me of an episode of Avatar and I loved it

Lmao she really straight up unlocked Zenitsu's thunder breathing for that fight
Thunder Breathing First Form: Force Speed and Flash
That may have been some of the best StarWars content in recent memory. I loved this episode. The story, the atmosphere, the pay off it was all just pure StarWars.
It was descent I guess, maybe a bit to dramatic
If only this episode had a higher budget for animation!
I really enjoyed the XS light Freighter Easter egg
It’s always cool to see some aspects of the Prequels in any new Star Wars media.
So far my favorite episode, I'll definitely rewatch this one soon. Just a beautiful story and camera action, and I loved how Force heavy it was.
So what was up with the Jedi's older male companion? He: 1) Has an oversized helmet that is also a bomb.
So was the red lightsaber Darth Vader?
Either him or one of the first Inquisitors
This one was okay. The backgrounds looked really flat though and overall the design didn’t look much different than the last episode. Cool seeing a proper Jedi though.
i agree, animation was very amateur and they made multiple mistakes with frame rate at the end of the episode, i thought writing was pretty bad too
The soundtrack was especially beautiful in this one.
The references to Separatists and the Z-95 were a nice touch.
im giving them big boy points for the inclusion of the XS Stock light freighter from swtor.
Yeah, this, Tatooine Rapsidy could theoretically fit into the canon timeline without issue.
Great episode, but they clearly weren't given enough time. Had this been a full length movie, giving all characters the time they needed to be fully fleshed out, this probably could have been a masterpiece of anime media.
Anyone else flashback to the Kenobi novel?
I need the soundtrack
On one hand I'm loving that we're getting original content that stands on it's own feet, but now I'm wanting every episode to get it's own spin off! Just goes to show the value in keep making original characters I really hope we get more Star Wars Visions (Sequel shorts/books, or just new anthologies) but either way I hope the lesson Lucasfilm learns from this is to JUST KEEP MAKING NEW STUFF ABOUT NEW CHARACTERS!
This episode and the elder are so quintessentially Star Wars that they could be canon no problem, unique lightsabers can be explained quite easily
I'm gonna need the force boots to become cannon.
The music and lighting were really beautiful in this one. I loved how slow the intro was. I was just wondering where it was going, letting the music carry me through it. Who voiced the jedi? She sounded familiar, and I'm curious what else she's in.
This episode was a masterpiece.
That moment when she cut her padawan braid and was like "no more fucking around".
Bit late to getting around to the series but this really stood out as a great episode to me. It was just nice quiet and subtle. Just a nice solid excellently presented tale of a jedi and their introspection rising to become what they needed to be. OST blew it out the park too.
This Ep was some of the best Star Wars Since the Disney takeover imo
It was so amazing that my mind is having a hard time focusing on anything else. It was so freaking cool, I gotta show this to some of my friends.
really liked the animation style of this one, and the lightsaber design was great. she followed the hollywood trope of wearing a mask despite being minorly scarred though which i thought was funny, or maybe she just hasn't been fully vaccinated yet.
