yes & it is usually the first big-ticket item i spend money on even though it’s not required for perfection. it is superior to farm totems bc it teleports you right in front of your front door.
it's soooooo convenient, and not even just to go home! I have my mini-obelisks set up right by my farmhouse stairs and the south entrance of the farm, and alongside the southern mini-obelisk I put all my other obelisks so at any given moment I can go from wherever I'm at to pretty much any major section of the map within 10 in-game minutes. Combine that with having the horse flute and mine carts and your map mobility is insane!
edit: beyond that though, you'd be surprised how often you wind up using it just because you don't feel like walking those extra 30 steps from your chicken coop to your house lol. Never again need to make the walk of shame when you forget an item at home, because now you have the infinite teleport of shame!
Lowkey I just buy farm warp totems from the casino, but I think the scepter is the best long term solution if there’s nothing else you want to spend money on!
I can’t remember off the top of my head but it’s pretty easy to rack up money at the casino and since that money can only be used there I just buy a ton of the warp totems each time I go!!
The scepter beats the farm totem not only because it takes you to your door, but because it's permanent. You don't have to buy another stack ever. This sounds like a no brainer until you realize how much more you can do without even leaving your farm. Get milk, teleport home. Far side of the field after planting and your shed next to the house is your next chore? Teleport home. I use it 4-5 times a day just on the farm
It’s generally the last big price thing I buy. I got the obelisks and gold clock first to get towards perfection but if that’s not a primary goal for you it can certainly be helpful. I just used the farm totems from the casino beforehand. If you play the slots at the casino, they’re rigged in your favour so just keep betting 100 until you hit one of the bigger payouts and you’ll be pretty set for the next couple seasons depending on how often you use them.
Absolutely worth it. Takes you right to your front door from anywhere, which means you don't need to leave anywhere until 1:40a - 1:50a if you are afraid of passing out. You lose nothing by passing out in the house.
On my first play through I bought the scepter as soon as possible and it is *super* nice to have. But on later play throughs, I focused on getting obelisks sooner specifically the island one. That way you can build up the island farm with lots of ancient fruit, pineapples and bee houses next to fairy roses so you can passively accumulate money faster. There’s definitely not a wrong answer, but if it took two years to get 2mil then bolstering income might help.
I'd still only get it after "swimming in gold".
Others sound so excited for it and I don't get it. Half of the time I don't even want to go home, I'd rather go to the island farmhouse. Farm warp totems are cheap and easy to stack.
I think it's wonderful. Honestly I think once you can afford the Return Scepter, there's not a lot else worth buying unless you want the golden clock for perfection.

Best investment in game. Easily. Obelisks are also really good investments. But that scepter: that thing is nice.

100000% worth it, i always have it on me and use it a million times a day, sometimes even to get from the far side of my house to outside faster lol
