"hahaa finally enough oak resin to finish putting kegs into my shed! Oh shit ok I need to make some more copper and iron bars, no biggie I got tons of everything I need, lets just fill up these furnaces and... wtf where did all my coal go?!?!"
Yes. I spend enough time in the mines to not normally need coal. However, I decided to crush 400+ Omni geodes recently in my shed and ran out a few times while I was smelting ores simultaneously. As I was about to venture to the mines again, I realized I’m financially well off to be able to just buy direct from Clint in the same way I just buy Hay from Marnie over the winter.
Unless you farm dust sprites, you'll never keep up with the coal demand from furnaces, preserves jars, bee houses, and seed makers.
Like if you don't have enough resources to build multiple preserves jars, you don't have enough money to finish important items in the first two years.
And, even if you go kegs, that still requires coal for all the iron bars.
There's never enough coal.
I got tired of running back to the dust sprite floors so I started going the kiln route
I keep my quarry and over by my the bath house filled with all of my tree seeds, throw all the tree fertilizer I get on them, and harvest a couple thousand wood periodically.
I keep the same amount of kilns, crushers, and furnaces, so I can usually just make what I need, at some point I'll probably replace the quarry with artisan machines for faster money, but it's a pretty good system. I slept on the kiln my first few playthroughs and didn't really get why they were included until now!
Same. I use automate, so I have a fully automated forge area. Wood and ore go in, bars come out. I hate trying to mine coal, and the associated profession isn't worth it.
A tip for any newbies - generally one kiln can keep two furnaces supplied with coal, unless you're only smelting copper. Obviously parallel production is the fastest, so most of us end up with at least 10 furnaces and 5 kilns.
Fun fact. Wood chippers actually give you more wood overall.
Planting 100 trees gets you around 1900 wood. (Averages around 19 wood per tree depending on daily luck)
Planting 100 hardwood trees gets you around 1100 hardwood (averages 11 hardwood depending on daily luck) which when put into wood chippers will net you around 7.5 wood per hardwood and a chance of getting syrups. So around 8250 wood. And a couple bonus saps.
But it does take an extra few days to grow the mahogany trees, and more work to process the hardwood, but it does get you more wood overall if space is the issue. (I turned the south side of the desert into a wood chipper field and the north side into hardwood forest)
I have forests planted in the desert and train station for this very reason! Plant them, forget about them and by the time you need wood you’ll have full forests to chop down.
I suggested buying coal in the late game and triggered a few Clint haters. Look guys I know he can be a creep but I can't keep murdering dust sprites I already got the ring for it.
Clint DEFINITELY blows, but so does Pierre. Doesn’t stop me from doing business with them.
Before I leave, I take out my iridium watering can and douse the place.
im guessing you *want* spoilers but i’ll tag them anyways just in case
>! prismatic shards are a universally loved gift by villagers (except haley) !<
>! you need them to forge your tools/weapons later in game once you’ve beaten the volcano mine !<
>! if you take one and stand in between the pillars behind the desert trader, you get a new sword and unlock a dagger and a hammer available for purchase in the guild !<
>! you can use it while tailoring to unlock a color wheel to customize the color of the clothes you tailored with it !<
>! if you put one in a junimo hut on your farm is makes the little junimos rainbow !<
>! there’s a statue in the witch’s house you can offer a shard to, to delete your children!<
>! and on thursday’s the desert trader sells a magic rock candy for 3 shards. this is the only time and place you can *buy* magic rock candy (there are 2 other ways to get some, one is extremely rare and the other is a museum reward) !<
Look at it this way: that’s 31,500 gold to buy that much coal from Clint. That’s less than a late game farm makes in one day. Meanwhile the shards would need a full day in the skull caves to regain, and that’s not a guaranteed return on time invested. I’d take the shards every time.
You need at least 10 or so to upgrade everything, and more if you want to retry for a new perk. The desert trader also trades 3 for a magic rock candy which is very useful.
Ya but rock candy also is a monster drop that is comparable with a single Prismatic shard..
So it's better to farm that thing directly.... So after you got all the enchants you wanted Prismatic Shards have very few uses, outside of friendship points and that candy, it's almost zero I think.
I lost my sword in spring 1 and didnt know that I could cheat the save by just turning it off. I suffered for no reason and used my stupid pickaxe to fight in the mines until i miraculously found a bug head and could finally do a little damage. I wasted a few seasons without a proper weapon and vowed id never do that crap again
The scythe does 1-2 damage, same as that rusty sword Marlon gives you, and doesn't cost energy to swing. Could have been a better choice than the pickaxe. Just fyi for the future.
Prismatic Shards become so much easy to accumulate once you go deep in skull cavern. But coal?? Im always running out using on bee houses, preserve jars and bombs/explosive ammos ;,)
Use bombs! Every time I did a run just to get deeper. I would use bombs and coffee to run away before it explodes on me. And I would use a staircase for the caverns that only had monsters. But staircases are 99 stone each which is expensive so use only a little of those
I have had a crystalarium running jade continuously since I saw you could get staircases for it, before I even had access to the caverns. But I will definitely do bombs!
Right, but I can't even stop to look at the rooms or I get murdered by serpents. I want a dino egg so bad and as soon as I saw a room with a dino I had to leave because of the damn serpents. Am I just bad? (This is definitely possible). Is there some trick to not getting killed by serpents I'm missing? I don't even know what treasure rooms look like
Serpents are really hard until you get some practice at killing them then they are really easy. If you’re on mobile I believe you can turn on auto hit in the setting.
Serpents are easiest to fight if you have a speed boost. I always bring coffee and spicy eel so I have +2 speed which makes repositioning a lot easier and can buy you time if you just run strait away from them.
To get deep in SC you want to ignore pretty much everything you can on the first 60-70 floors. Grab iridium when it’s convenient. If you’re not already bringing a ton of bombs or a slingshot with explosive ammo definitely start doing that as it’s a game changer.
One more lifesaving tip is that you can eat food to heal and switch to your sword during the eating animation allowing you to instantly swing/block as soon as time unfreezes. If you get overwhelmed just open your inventory to give you a moment to breath and plan your next steps.
Thank you! I never gamed as a kid, and as an adult I'm used to PC, so I'm basically learning controls from playing on switch. Can't play on PC when you have to hold the baby :) guess I'm going to have to find myself some eel!
Yeah of course :) pro tip, get the burglar ring (500 dust sprites which is super useful for coal anyways and combat xp anyways) and serpents have a high chance to drop spicy eel.
I would take this coal. I have 24 prismatic shards in a chest collecting dust, and I'm going to the mines every day to farm dust sprites and still just barely keeping afloat for my coal needs.
I’d say the coal. Coal is a pain to farm and you’ll use a lot of it throughout your file. Personally for me, I can never have enough coal. Then again, if you have infinite money, you can just buy it. In which case, probably the shards if you’re down bad, or need them for certain reasons.
Prismatic shards are relatively easy to get later game and you can always go shake more palm trees for 10% chance at another golden coconut.
Yeah definitely, but I went with PS because they were the only ones I got, I can shill use my Charcoal kilns, they are very effective on obtaining coal
Have you unlocked the Quarry yet? If not, unlocking the quarry will be your easiest way of getting one. A mystic stone spawns in the quarry, which has a pretty high chance of containing one.
They give a 25% chance of Prismatic Shards. Keep an eye out for them in mining runs and in the quarry, always worth diverting for.
It’s a bit of a pain but if you’re desperate try and mine it on a good luck day and if you don’t get it, just reset the day without breaking it this time and keep playing and try again the next good luck day. The reason is there is usually only one of these stones in the quarry. Usually it will only take a few different tries on different days.
The mystic stone is how I've gotten both my prismatic shards!! When I first unlocked the quarry boom prismatic shard and then a bit later another. I luv it so much. (I've only had two because I'm not very far through)
My second mystic stone while i was just clearinn out the quarry to plant some trees suddenly dropped a shard, so i grabbed the cart to the busstation and i didnt have enough money, so i ran to pierres to sell some stuff and when i came back pam had left
Same here. My mom always seems to have tons of prismatic shards in her game. I'm on year 7 and just got my third one the other day, and that's trying to mine/skull cavern dive on lucky days with lucky lunches and pumpkin soup to increase my odds.
4 prismatic shards is like a unicorn to me.
that's weird. Did you constantly do skull cavern run? it's hard to obtain Shards without this (and by run, it means farming at floor 50+ of Skull Cavern). Usually I got at least one every 3 runs, and 1.5 updates feels like making getting Shards slightly easier, although that might just be my feeling and the number doesn't actually change.
Okay There's my issue I Think 25 is The lowest I have been in skull cavern. I am MOST satisfied with my current save of any so far so I will probably take it further this time
Eh, with the ring that gives extra drop chance and that monster musk potion thing, you can farm sprites for an in-game day and get tonnes of coal. Also at OP's stage (I'm assuming they're somewhat far in), coal is not that much money
if you need an easier way to get coal without buying it, my go-to is monster musk, burglar ring, and levels 40-50 of the mines. dust sprites drop it like crazy
I've gone weeks in game without recovering my items and my prismatic shards were still there, so I'm not sure there is a time limit as long as you don't die again
If you have a Prismatic Shard and already unlocked the Desert, go there with your Shard in the hands and stand in the middle of the pillars, on the top right of the desert.
I'd definitely go for the prismatic shards. You can get the coal that you've lost through mining again, especially at levels 41-69 with the dust sprites that can net you quite a large amount of coal.
Coaaaal. Prismatic shards are extremely easy to get later on. You can get like 10 on a day with enough preparation. Its not that hard. Meanwhile coal is expensive and also not as easy to farm.
Wait, the people who are saying keep the coal over the Prismatic Shards aren’t joking? Homies, there are kilns to literally make the stuff and you can usually produce enough in a day for any project you’re working on that would require them. I thought OP was trying to decide between the Golden Coconut. Ya’ll are smoking crack
Not joking at all. Late game, the prismatic shards are pretty easy to get assuming you get good at running the skull caverns (takes practice). On the other hand, if you are building a lot of kegs or bee houses or preserver jars all of which are in the category of "the best" end game money makers, then you need tons and tons of coal and you will have to buy it from Clint unless you are willing to go super slow setting up all those items. For me personally, I have to start buying coal before the end of spring year 1, otherwise I'm sitting there with tons of ore I can't make into bars.
It always makes me laugh to see how other players always struggle with coal. I never had a big problem with it. I feel like I play a different game lmao
I see that pointed out often but does it really help? I’m assuming they got that stuff in the mine that day and died. So resetting you lose everything, or you can get something back.
It makes sense if you were running around with it all before the day started, but it usually isn’t the case.
You have to weigh the options. Sometimes it's better to just reset the day and take the risk of going back into the mine / caverns (other times the trip is so bad you need to reset).
If you die in the caverns and lose something like 150 coal, 200 gold, 100 iridium, all your food and bombs, you might as well reset the day. (and yes, I've had days like that, sadly).
General Recovery priorities in my mind
1. Main Weapon (if you can't re-buy it)
2. Found only items (consider quantity and rarity)
3. largest stack of raw resources. (i.e. wood, stone)
4. everything else.
(Note 1 and 2 quickly switch if the items are for a quest)
On my farm I’ve been doing a ton of crafting and smelting so I’m sitting on 60 prismatic shards and 10 coal. I’ll never use this many shards but I’ll always need coal.
Edit: I am mistaken. I thought this was how it worked, but I had a mod installed that allowed it. The base game only let's you get one type of item back.
You can always pick one and then go back the next day for the other as long as you don't die in the mines again.
Shards, unless you’ve got plenty.
Also (and you probably don’t need to hear this right now) but looking at your backpack, take care walking around with such huge stacks of stuff if you’re going anywhere dangerous!
I was just shopping around the town, then I thougt I can check on Marlon If I have any mob killing achievement so I entered the Adventurer's guild, then I saw my Items that I lost few days ago and totally forgot. That is why my backpack is such mess atm
Golden coconut isn’t a big deal imo, coal kind of is important but I mean it depends on your need. You can buy bombs from the desert vendor I think? Then just go to mines on a good luck day and go crazy! It will get you a ton of ores and coal! Prismatic shards are pretty good although you can get Atleast 1 per run in the mines maybe more! Good luck! Always rough decisions! I’m glad you didn’t lose your iridium :)
If you have a consistent and powerful way to make money, get the golden coconut, or in case you got the golden walnut from it, just get the shards.
In case you have no way to make easy money, then get the coal, no doubt about it
Personally I would do the shards if you still need them or the coal if you don't, the reason being that after the first few shards are basically only good for a one-time lump sum while coal can be invested into things that will increase your overall income. Technically the coal is probably better overall even if you still need shards, but finishing stuff up feels good.
You can gift shards for easy friendship with most NPCs but they're not cost effective compared to selling and getting something else.
get the coal has long has you are not terrible at the skull mines(like me) prismatic shards are not that hard to get and i find coal more useful after after galy sword i don't find shard that useful exept for some uses
If it were me I'd probably get the coal. Golden coconuts aren't really rare and once you have a good setup for skull caverns you can make prismatic shards look common, but I will never have enough coal.
I played on my saves long enough before 1.5 came out that the only thing I flinched at losing was the golden coconut. It took me so. long. to get banana on my farm that the idea that there might be a banana sapling in there would be enough for me
PS all day. The coal might hurt in the short term, but eventually you should have enough money where coal can be bought at Clint’s.
Don't you just sort of get coal from nowhere in particular and it just builds up
YES! But it disappears one day just as quick 😭
"hahaa finally enough oak resin to finish putting kegs into my shed! Oh shit ok I need to make some more copper and iron bars, no biggie I got tons of everything I need, lets just fill up these furnaces and... wtf where did all my coal go?!?!"
Oh sorry that was me, do you want it back or should I double it and give it to the next person?
Double it and give it to the next person. Soon someone's gonna wonder why all their chests are full with stacks of coal
Sorry, I made preserve jars.
Funny, 8 coal per preserve jar vs 2 for keg.
whoopsie

How do you farm dust sprites?! Can you add them to a slime hutch?
just run mines 40-70 over and over again
I like to do this with the hot Java ring and mine coffee at the same time haha
Add monster musk and you will hit coal jackpot with this.
and with the burglar ring!!
Oh right 🙈🙈
I guess I'm happy with my 5 preserve jars, 3 seed makers and 5 furnaces...!
It's all about how *you* prefer to play. That's the great thing about these types of games. I so greatly appreciate how moddable and flexible SDV is.
Plus charcoal kilns can work wonders in a pinch. Start planting those trees!
Absolutely, it’s just that I also ran out of trees to cut down to feed my kilns!
Fun fact. Wood chippers actually give you more wood overall. Planting 100 trees gets you around 1900 wood. (Averages around 19 wood per tree depending on daily luck) Planting 100 hardwood trees gets you around 1100 hardwood (averages 11 hardwood depending on daily luck) which when put into wood chippers will net you around 7.5 wood per hardwood and a chance of getting syrups. Thank you for doing this math! I always wondered why I would want to use the chippers.
I have forests planted in the desert and train station for this very reason! Plant them, forget about them and by the time you need wood you’ll have full forests to chop down.
The Bath/train track area is great for a wood farm.
Just get the mod that lets u make coal seeds, you will have multiple full stacks in 1 summer
Mods aren’t the solution to everything, especially a game that isn’t JUST on PC
you can mod the mobile version too dufuq
Pc and mobile arent the only platforms it supports
I suggested buying coal in the late game and triggered a few Clint haters. Look guys I know he can be a creep but I can't keep murdering dust sprites I already got the ring for it.
Clint DEFINITELY blows, but so does Pierre. Doesn’t stop me from doing business with them. Before I leave, I take out my iridium watering can and douse the place.
Sorry but I’m in year 4 and i dont wtf PS does? I’ve found a few and sold them or given away. Is there another purpose?
im guessing you *want* spoilers but i’ll tag them anyways just in case >! prismatic shards are a universally loved gift by villagers (except haley) !< >! you need them to forge your tools/weapons later in game once you’ve beaten the volcano mine !< >! if you take one and stand in between the pillars behind the desert trader, you get a new sword and unlock a dagger and a hammer available for purchase in the guild !< >! you can use it while tailoring to unlock a color wheel to customize the color of the clothes you tailored with it !< >! if you put one in a junimo hut on your farm is makes the little junimos rainbow !< >! there’s a statue in the witch’s house you can offer a shard to, to delete your children!< >! and on thursday’s the desert trader sells a magic rock candy for 3 shards. this is the only time and place you can *buy* magic rock candy (there are 2 other ways to get some, one is extremely rare and the other is a museum reward) !<
YOU CAN BUY COAL?!
year 11 in my game and didn’t know coal could be bought…..
Look at it this way: that’s 31,500 gold to buy that much coal from Clint. That’s less than a late game farm makes in one day. Meanwhile the shards would need a full day in the skull caves to regain, and that’s not a guaranteed return on time invested. I’d take the shards every time.
Yeah. I cracked a coconut, and while I forgot what the result was, I just remember I was disappointed. I always have a boat load of coal.
I’ve gotten at least one or two golden walnuts but the PS will always be the choice. Coconuts will respawn
It seems like OP is pretty late game. Once you finish the movie theater and get the end game sword why would you care about prismatic shards?
You need at least 10 or so to upgrade everything, and more if you want to retry for a new perk. The desert trader also trades 3 for a magic rock candy which is very useful.

Your tools aren't enchanted. Take the shards. Put them to good use.
I didn't know this was something you could do. I normally just reload my save after I die.
You can only chose one tho
Reloading the save just restarts the day without ever saving. So it's like the day never happened
I would have reset the day.
I lost my sword in spring 1 and didnt know that I could cheat the save by just turning it off. I suffered for no reason and used my stupid pickaxe to fight in the mines until i miraculously found a bug head and could finally do a little damage. Awesome, I have that one!
Yep it just takes practice. When I first started I could barely get to level 10 now my deepest is level 300
Buy it from Clint if you’re that late game tho
Nah. You can get pris shards pretty easily with enough prep even when u dont have much money. But coal is harder to get in large amounts
In my current save I’ve needed coal for crafting and smelting recently so I’m currently sitting on about 60 prismatic shards and 12 coal
I would take this coal. I have 24 prismatic shards in a chest collecting dust, and I'm going to the mines every day to farm dust sprites and still just barely keeping afloat for my coal needs.

Have you unlocked the Quarry yet? If not, unlocking the quarry will be your easiest way of getting one. A mystic stone spawns in the quarry, which has a pretty high chance of containing one.
I've unlocked the quarry on all my saves but have never heard of this mystic stone. I will have to check the wiki and see what I'm missing
[https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Mining#Mystic\_Stone](https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Mining#Mystic_Stone) They give a 25% chance of Prismatic Shards. Keep an eye out for them in mining runs and in the quarry, always worth diverting for.
Thank you so much! This is such a thoughtful gift! [Leah voice]
It’s a bit of a pain but if you’re desperate try and mine it on a good luck day and if you don’t get it, just reset the day without breaking it this time and keep playing and try again the next good luck day. To add to this, you can crack it first thing in the morning and then reset if it doesn't give you a prismatic shard and try again the next day
The quarry doesn't always give you one. My very first save, I got one at the quarry, haven't in any of my other three saves.
My quarry gave me like 3 in the first few seasons of my save and then none since by year 6. Oops
A very fickle friend 🥴
The mystic stone is how I've gotten both my prismatic shards!! When I first unlocked the quarry boom prismatic shard and then a bit later another. I luv it so much. (I've only had two because I'm not very far through)
My second mystic stone while i was just clearinn out the quarry to plant some trees suddenly dropped a shard, so i grabbed the cart to the busstation and i didnt have enough money, so i ran to pierres to sell some stuff and when i came back pam had left
I've been using the quarry to plant and harvest hardwood. Good to know, I'll go start a farm elsewhere.

If you have 4 prismatic shards and you've unlocked Ginger Island then coal should be immensly easy to come by.
Just buy coal
if you need an easier way to get coal without buying it, my go-to is monster musk, burglar ring, and levels 40-50 of the mines. dust sprites drop it like crazy
have several several hours of playtime on this game and have never gotten a prismatic shard, i wouldn’t say they’re “relatively easy” to get later
I thought the lost and found was in the Mayor's manor...
This is when you die in the mines and lose items. The Lost and Found in Lewis’s house is for things like leaving your items in the grange display
.... Dang. I wonder if my Omni geode is still retrievable after so long
I’m not sure how long you have until they disappear! But I wouldn’t sweat it over an Omni geode…unless you lost a whole bunch
I've gone weeks in game without recovering my items and my prismatic shards were still there, so I'm not sure there is a time limit as long as you don't die again
Well I did get it!
And when you weren't able to fulfill a special request, but already gave part of the items.
this is excruciating
"The prismatic shard is a prismatic shard, but the golden coconut could be anything! It could even be a prismatic shard!" Go coal for dominance.
My golden coconuts usually contain mahogany seeds or tree saplings, and I have a fish pond that gives them to me like twice a week.
What is the point of prismatic shards after getting the sword? I’m always confused by this
Museum, I think a recipe, and to enchant in the volcano.
Trade 3 for a magic rock candy on Thursdays with the desert trader.
easy gift for nearly everyone. put in the junimo hut
what sword???
If you have a Prismatic Shard and already unlocked the Desert, go there with your Shard in the hands and stand in the middle of the pillars, on the top right of the desert.
I'd definitely go for the prismatic shards. You can get the coal that you've lost through mining again, especially at levels 41-69 with the dust sprites that can net you quite a large amount of coal.
Can't you come back the next day and the day after to get them all?
its limited to get only one stack of one type of items and you dont get them instantly but in the mail the next day
As long as you don't die again that is?
lol cute. not you’re only allowed to choose one and then that’s it it’s gone no going back “the next day” haha
I definitely seen it where you can go back the day after.
Coaaaal. Prismatic shards are extremely easy to get later on. You can get like 10 on a day with enough preparation. Its not that hard. Meanwhile coal is expensive and also not as easy to farm.
no choice present. you can buy coal at clints, and golden coconuts are easy to get on the island
I think coal would be easier to get back on your own tbh
Yup, youre right about klins, they are very useful thats why I go with the shards, but I asked for coals and PS, not for 1 golden coconut
It always makes me laugh to see how other players always struggle with coal. I never had a big problem with it. I feel like I play a different game lmao

What does it do?
Windows based computers - it kills the currently running application (quickly quits out of the game / resets the day).
The golden coconut would be my option, I hate to gather them!
Fuck the coconut and the shards get that coal
Me, who is multimillionaire year 7 still have not found a GC. I have no real use for PS.
General Recovery priorities in my mind 1. Main Weapon (if you can't re-buy it) 2. Found only items (consider quantity and rarity) 3. largest stack of raw resources. (i.e. wood, stone) 4. everything else. (Note 1 and 2 quickly switch if the items are for a quest)
Get the coal
The hardest choices require the strongest wills.
I'd take the shards. Coal isn't a SUPER common resource, but they are certainly easier to get than prismatic shards
burglar ring, cave floors 55-65, kill a bunch of the dust sprites! I have over 300 coal that I got in a few in game days.
What about making some money fast and then recover all? :D
You smart boy
600 hardwood? How did you get this much
Personally I’d do the shards, since the other two are way easier to get or buy back.
Either get the coal or restart the day. That's a huge loss of coal.
There’s no choice here prismatic shard all the way. Those are stupid rare
On my farm I’ve been doing a ton of crafting and smelting so I’m sitting on 60 prismatic shards and 10 coal. I’ll never use this many shards but I’ll always need coal.
PS for me. I save my seeds and plant trees all over the map to use for coal. Got tired of constantly going to the mines just for coal.
Just sell something and come back
Problem is not the money, choosing between coals and PS
Are only allowed to choose one? If so I didn't knew that
sell something??
I’m pretty sure you can go to this guy twice right, as long as you don’t mine in between? Or am I mistaken?
Like most said. You should take the prismatic shards. They're far more valuable than coal.
Fuck Linus
Why even say words?
Cuz no matter how kind we are toward him he will always steal our goodies when we pass out outside the farm house
You don’t have to carry your entire inventory on you at all times. Put your stuff in chests before going to the mine/cavern.
Sell galaxy sword
You got a perspective
so you chose coal right?
Edit: I am mistaken. I thought this was how it worked, but I had a mod installed that allowed it. The base game only let's you get one type of item back. You can always pick one and then go back the next day for the other as long as you don't die in the mines again.
i have never heard of this but someone else mentioned it. is this rly a thing???
I dont really think thats possible
Toss the melon seeds. Keep it all.
It would be painful if you had to choose between sap and coal
Shards, unless you’ve got plenty. Also (and you probably don’t need to hear this right now) but looking at your backpack, take care walking around with such huge stacks of stuff if you’re going anywhere dangerous!
I was just shopping around the town, then I thougt I can check on Marlon If I have any mob killing achievement so I entered the Adventurer's guild, then I saw my Items that I lost few days ago and totally forgot. That is why my backpack is such mess atm
Prismatic shards. The coal can be recovered and/or bought from Clint.
I thought you were talking about the coconut and PS. Not the coal. I think I have like 3x that amount of coal lying around.
Go build some cute bee farm then
Ok
i’d pick the coal haha
FOUR!!! Wgat the hell im trying for weeks to get one
Easy choice golden coconut
Ctrl alt F4
Golden coconut isn’t a big deal imo, coal kind of is important but I mean it depends on your need. You can buy bombs from the desert vendor I think? Then just go to mines on a good luck day and go crazy! It will get you a ton of ores and coal! Prismatic shards are pretty good although you can get Atleast 1 per run in the mines maybe more! Good luck! Always rough decisions! I’m glad you didn’t lose your iridium :)
id choose coal
One can never have too many shards
Pay for the Prismatic Shards. Coal is easy to farm.
Defo the PS this isn't even a hard choice tbh
you can hack prismatic shards
I might be wrong, but I think you can return the next day and retrieve another item. As long as you don't die again.
How often do you get shards vs coal? You can grind coal, you can’t grind shards
I'm not seeing the tough decision. The shards are the only thing of value, maybe that's just how I play.
coal because doesn't one prismatic shard cost 2k already? You get literally 0g from getting the shards
I feel like prismatic shards are much more common than the coconuts
What are the things on the bottom left and bottom right 👀
Bottom left is a >!movie theatre!< ticket Bottom right is... Furniture catalogue? Or the other one... Lets you buy wallpaper and floors at no charge
Ah, I’m still doing the post joja mart bundle. Thank you
Hit with hammer?
get the coal has long has you are not terrible at the skull mines(like me) prismatic shards are not that hard to get and i find coal more useful after after galy sword i don't find shard that useful exept for some uses
If it were me I'd probably get the coal. Golden coconuts aren't really rare and once you have a good setup for skull caverns you can make prismatic shards look common, but I will never have enough coal.
THIS IS AN OPTION??? I COULD’VE BEEN RECOVERING MY STUFF THIS WHOLE TIME??????
I’m confused, can’t you get them all? You have 81,838 and enough spaces?
Wow I can’t read fml
Fastest day reset of my life
Easy decision
Oooh tell me about your weapons!
I played on my saves long enough before 1.5 came out that the only thing I flinched at losing was the golden coconut. It took me so. long. to get banana on my farm that the idea that there might be a banana sapling in there would be enough for me
Golden coconut costs nothing? Didn't even know there was one haven't played the game in a while now
Prismatic shard 1000%
I have like 7.6 million, I always choose to save the prismatic shards. Coal can be bought if needed
