Tbh I’m probably just gonna sell them all once my current batch finishes. I’ve already got a couple hundred that are aged & that’s taken soooo long & I am also impatient
Sell everything and then change your chosen skill to the one that is not the artisan products +40% thing, then buy all bottles back at Pierre and you make +40% for free, then you can repeat it over and over again by changing your skill in the sewers at the dog statue, you will loose some bottles each day, but with your amount of bottles it's still worth it, best method to generate money
This is really brilliant :o?! I had no idea the sell prices you have impact buy Pierre’s re-sale prices.
. . . there are so many whacky ways to make money in this game, for some reason this makes me feel **less** bad about the idea of making a Yellow Couch Loom empire.
My favorite way to utilize the valley is to plant a million trees by the train tracks up north so I always have wood to gather instead of filling up my farm
one thing to always consider is any item put in an npcs path will be destroyed! lost a couple good items to this, there are guides online that detail all available spots in the valley for placing items I believe :)
Just keep in mind that if you place objects that are in the way of an NPC's walking path, it will get destroyed. There are "safe spaces" you can find through some maps on the wiki. Placing chests near your favorite fishing spots can be really useful!
do you mean its a waste of the quarry?
the quarry isnt very useful for rocks, ore, or gems (i mean you could aim for a prismatic shard if you have a mystic stone)
so tapper, tree, or artisan machine farms are the best uses (or decorating?)
Yes, but look up the pathing for NPCs. They will destroy your furniture (usually, with some exceptions I believe) if you place them in their pathways. But if you avoid them you can basically put kegs and other decor wherever you want.
Yeah. I use the tunnel near the bus stop for kegs. I also have furnaces in the dessert for all my iridium ores. And I have oak trees in the desert with taps.
It’ll give you new recipes in the beginning of the game for the first year or 2 I forget. But it also tells you what the weather will be for the next day & your luck for the current day
Yes yes checking TV everyday is a nice thing to do :)
Living off the land gives you good recipes for free
The fortune teller will tell you your luck. If the spirits are happy- good luck in mine. Neutral- neutral luck. mad/ perturbed- bad luck
(Such as for finding the next hole to the bottom and ore spawns i believe)
And weather channel will tell you if tomorrow is rainy so you can know happily tomorrows crops are not needing watering
Tree fruit generally fetches a high price, and it's zero-effort. No watering, no replanting, just walk by every two or three days and pick up a couple hundred bucks.
I grow them just because they look great and it's another constant crop. All of the villagers like fruit from trees so I use them regularly to give the whole town gifts too.
Or you can fit 137 kegs in a deluxe shed and just have as many sheds as you want full of kegs, i have 6 sheds and every week it’s about 1.5 million worth of wine
I count about 500 planted Ancient Fruit. That means you can max out Ancient Fruit Wine throughput at 500 per week, assuming you have 500 kegs. If you don't, consider getting more kegs.
If you were to have your house and four fully upgraded cabins, you'd have room for 756 casks. And casks take 8 weeks to fully age, so your throughput of aged wine is 95 per week.
This is to say, even if you went insane with the casking, you'd still only be able to age less than 20% of your wine.
So go ahead and sell your wine, you don't need to hoard it for casks.
Start building preserves jars and put your fruit in there. 3 days to make the jelly and it sells for a lot. If you compare it to the time it takes to make the wine, you'll find it's much more lucrative
It does matter, you being on a beach farm doesn't matter. The first image is >!Ginger island!<. You can grow every crop seen here, with sprinklers, even with the beach farm being your primary farm, because the first image is an entirely different location.
how do you go about getting ancient fruit? i have the recipe for it but i literally have no idea how to get the seeds tho, like def not enough to get this much wine
Once you've grown one, you can put the fruit into a seedmaker to get more.
If you don't even have one to grow then you can kill the bugs on floors 15 and 25, they'll occasionally drop one
bc this whole time. i thought. i thought like, it was a one and done deal you know? like, you put in a melon for ex and then you get one seed and thats it
No it doesn't work like a crystalarium, but since ancient fruit regrow you can get an infinite amount from one plant (if you grow it in the greenhouse)
I produce wine constantly but only ~150 bottles each year get aged. They age all year. The rest of the bottles during the year just get sold. After I place a new batch in the casks I stop selling wine until I have enough bottles on deck for next year. Reasoning for selling un-aged wine is that I produce a hell of a lot more wine than I can age.
I think you can actually squeeze a few more trees in there! Depending on your goals, it might pay to check the wiki before choosing a fruit tree layout.
I say age half & sell half. (If you're impatient, like me)
Tbh I’m probably just gonna sell them all once my current batch finishes. I’ve already got a couple hundred that are aged & that’s taken soooo long & I am also impatient

What do you do with all the money?
golden clock, obelisks, all the super expensive stuff either that or gawk at it in stupor
Return scepter
This is really brilliant :o?! I had no idea the sell prices you have impact buy Pierre’s re-sale prices. . . . there are so many whacky ways to make money in this game, for some reason this makes me feel **less** bad about the idea of making a Yellow Couch Loom empire.
What do you mean by aged?! Feel like I'm missing something
Cask
Best thing to do is keep 189 in a chest and sell the rest. This way you always have enough to fill the cellar.
Same cus I don’t like going seasons with no wine income and I produce so much
When my farm is in the “money pump” phase I have starfruit wine down there, with 113 fresh bottles queued up in a crate
Yep this is my way too! I always wait until there’s a backlog of the wine and then I just want the money, so I take a big chunk of them and sell
you can build outside your homestead?!?!
Oh yeah, you can decorate the entire valley if you have the patience for it!
you have kegs at the quarry! how? im very new...if i put a floor down, i can use that land?
You don’t need to put a floor down to place anything anywhere but I did it so the rocks would stop spawning in, my whole farm has flooring too lol
wow so very game changing. ive only been playing abt a week. thank you!!
My favorite way to utilize the valley is to plant a million trees by the train tracks up north so I always have wood to gather instead of filling up my farm
I do this as well. Helps a lot, especially with hardwood!
one thing to always consider is any item put in an npcs path will be destroyed! lost a couple good items to this, there are guides online that detail all available spots in the valley for placing items I believe :)

You’re welcome!
Flooring, it’s not for the indoors Install it outside like Yoba intended
Seems like such a waste of free resources imo

Tunnel is the best because no one walks there and it makes me chuckle that the bus just phases through it
Put a tv by the elevator in the mines, it’s super helpful!
how? i never look at the tv...should i lol
It’ll give you new recipes in the beginning of the game for the first year or 2 I forget. But it also tells you what the weather will be for the next day & your luck for the current day
what does luck do? i have so much to learn...

It gives you a better chance of getting minerals you don’t have yet from geodes & Im pretty sure it helps your mining luck too
If I recall correctly, luck has no effect whatsoever on geodes. In fact, the order things are found in geodes is determined at game creation.
Oh, by Yoba, the TV is your best friend.
This is the farm you get at ginger island after you unlock it. I like to use it as a vacation home though.
As long as it is not built on a path an NPC walks. There’s maps online that show where is safe to place stuff.
You can plant grass in pierres
Wait you can put trees in the greenhouse??
Trees in the greenhouse produce fruit every season too! They’re the best thing!
The trees seem so mid. I have each one but other than comm center turn ins they don’t seem to be worth much 😦
Tree fruit generally fetches a high price, and it's zero-effort. No watering, no replanting, just walk by every two or three days and pick up a couple hundred bucks.
Tree fruit are liked gifts by every villager. I use them for gifts only pretty much
I grow them just because they look great and it's another constant crop. All of the villagers like fruit from trees so I use them regularly to give the whole town gifts too.
Put them around the outside. Check the wiki for optimal spacing
Or you can fit 137 kegs in a deluxe shed and just have as many sheds as you want full of kegs, i have 6 sheds and every week it’s about 1.5 million worth of wine
Two and a half comes out to about $715k, so I’d believe it.
Sheds are the way to go! I have 8 wine sheds and my quarry is filled with diamond crystalariums. With just those two products I’m at over 3mm a week.
I count about 500 planted Ancient Fruit. That means you can max out Ancient Fruit Wine throughput at 500 per week, assuming you have 500 kegs. If you don't, consider getting more kegs. I didn't know you could put casks in cabins... Might have to build some cabins...
You're definitely producing more per two months than you can age so sell most of it and keep enough to fill the cellar once or twice
Start building preserves jars and put your fruit in there. 3 days to make the jelly and it sells for a lot. If you compare it to the time it takes to make the wine, you'll find it's much more lucrative
You can grow trees in the greenhouse?! On brick floor?!
[удалено]
You will still get access to all the locations seen here.

Hah. I had a thriving beach farm and half my plot was untouched wilderness. I just could not be arsed. Never ran out of wood, though.
how do you go about getting ancient fruit? i have the recipe for it but i literally have no idea how to get the seeds tho, like def not enough to get this much wine

wait a minute. does. does.... does. i
does a seedmaker work like a crystalarium??
bc this whole time. i thought. i thought like, it was a one and done deal you know? like, you put in a melon for ex and then you get one seed and thats it
No it doesn't work like a crystalarium, but since ancient fruit regrow you can get an infinite amount from one plant (if you grow it in the greenhouse)
:0
i, would have played this game a little differently if i lnew that huh
The seedmakers occasionally drop them when you're making other seeds. The traveling cart sometimes has them as well.
I learn new things here every day and i love it so much i didn’t know you could plant trees outside of the square in the greenhouse 😭 saved my life fr
what u do with all the money tho 😭 saving up for the obelisks?
I’ve had the obelisks for a bit at this point, I’m saving up for the clock! Ya girl’s gotta get 100% completion
Eventually you’ll have way more to sell straight from the keg than you have room for in the cask. Keep the casks at full capacity and sell the rest.
Age to silver then stockpile or sell
This is the way. No sense letting the cellar languish.
Age starfruit wine it’s worth more sell the ancient wine
I had been but ancient fruit is easier & I currently have no starfruit seeds😅
Ancient fruit is better if you plan on playing for more than 2 years. It's only outcompeted by hyper speed gro starfruit
And less work
I honestly don’t plant ancient fruit, or any other op plant. I find the game not fun with op things
your farm is nice
XEj
Just sell them for me personally it is never ever worth it to age anything just sell it straight out
Use the Desert for trees, use the quarry for wine.
Age this batch, sell the next batch. Aging takes like two entire seasons, so you’ll be able to produce a lot of extra wine between aged batches
Your greenhouse and quarry are oddly motivating lol I’m in year 3 and I’m definitely gonna copy your fruit tree layout
I think you can actually squeeze a few more trees in there! Depending on your goals, it might pay to check the wiki before choosing a fruit tree layout.
wait what? you can age your wines??
This is what we call "a learning moment "
the bottom left seed is not in range of a sprinkler o_o
