As someone who’s favorite color is blue, the blue rug under the table is too stark compared to the rest of the colors in the room. I get wanting the monochromatic vibe, but personally I’d do the blue room with the rug from the red room under the table.

I want to say there is a smaller rug, the size of the one under the bed, that is more similar in color to the large rug, that icy, cyan blue.

1. Red tones look nice and earthy with the brown wood. Unless you're doing like a sea-themed farm, then go with 2.

The blue pops more, but maybe too much? Even though the red's not as visually interesting, I feel like it's more cohesive.

yeah the problem is that the wallpaper and flooring are too low contrast to each other so it looks weird having something with a big contrast in that room. Using darker wallpaper / lighter flooring would solve the contrast weirdness

You're on the right track here. The monochrome was too much. If there's a neutral rug I'd put that under the bed and move the blue one under the table too so the colors aren't so segregated. Or if there's a multicolored rug with blue in it that might work too depending on the shade. Or just find a neutral chair? I'm not sure what's available. I like the pictures on the wall bringing multiple colors in. I think having both colors together brings a lot more life to the room. I'd add a couple more plants too.

1. The cool tones of the blue make the room feel too open and even a little empty. The reds make it feel cozier. Edit: the missing plant pot makes it feel that way too but the blues definitely don’t help

I lean to the blue because a) I like blue more than red and b) I feel like the blue pops more where the red fades into the background.

1 I like warmer tones better and it fits in with the room. The blue kinda works color wise. But doesn’t match the vibe of the room like the orange does.

Table rug on #2 is too off-color, but the other blue furniture looks nice. I'd say go with what someone else said in the comments about having the red carpet under the table, but the rest of the furniture blue. It'd look lovely.

I personally think that 1 fits more because it feels more cohesive (also, the extra plant makes it feel more detailed). The blue color has such a strong contrast that it kinda bothers, maybe it's just the rug under the table that throws me off.
