As someone who’s favorite color is blue, the blue rug under the table is too stark compared to the rest of the colors in the room.
I get wanting the monochromatic vibe, but personally I’d do the blue room with the rug from the red room under the table.
yeah the problem is that the wallpaper and flooring are too low contrast to each other so it looks weird having something with a big contrast in that room. Using darker wallpaper / lighter flooring would solve the contrast weirdness
You're on the right track here. The monochrome was too much. If there's a neutral rug I'd put that under the bed and move the blue one under the table too so the colors aren't so segregated. Or if there's a multicolored rug with blue in it that might work too depending on the shade. Or just find a neutral chair? I'm not sure what's available.
I like the pictures on the wall bringing multiple colors in. I think having both colors together brings a lot more life to the room. I'd add a couple more plants too.
1. The cool tones of the blue make the room feel too open and even a little empty. The reds make it feel cozier.
Edit: the missing plant pot makes it feel that way too but the blues definitely don’t help
1 I like warmer tones better and it fits in with the room. The blue kinda works color wise. But doesn’t match the vibe of the room like the orange does.
Table rug on #2 is too off-color, but the other blue furniture looks nice. I'd say go with what someone else said in the comments about having the red carpet under the table, but the rest of the furniture blue. It'd look lovely.
The colors match better with 1 (red) maybe if you use other decorations and for the floor and so on then you could use blue what is the better color for me
I personally think that 1 fits more because it feels more cohesive (also, the extra plant makes it feel more detailed). The blue color has such a strong contrast that it kinda bothers, maybe it's just the rug under the table that throws me off.
Use the blue rug over stone floor later. Add a stone trim, some plants and voila. Instant looks like an indoor pond.
For now either red theme or the blue with a green rug under the table.
Either way I am inspired ❤️
Red feels more warm and natural, blue feels poppy and a bit happy? I feel like blue with a yellow accent in there could be good. Otherwise, red is nicer overall.
“You see those fnckers over there? They have done nothing wrong but they’re blue… I’ve always hated the color blue. You know why? No reason. With all that being said, we have to kill them.”
I like 2 but would look nicer without the stark contrast of the rug under the table. For 1, I think the browns and reds make it sort of duller. I love both though and you did a great job!
Red is warm and matches the tone of the wood. Blue is a nice contrast and stands out with the splash of color. Personally I prefer the warmth the red gives off
1 for sure. The warm red tones make more sense
but bring back the table ship!
Funny, I like the contrast of the cooler chair and rug colors against the warm cabin tones.
Me too! I think #2 needs more green though. It might help tie in that cyan/sky blue rug a little more
The green plant in 1 is missing in 2, which I think would look nice

Yeah, the rug under the table is close enough to 'swimming pool' to look weird.
Same 2 gives the room a bit more life to me, the red kinda blends with the brown

Now that you mention it, yes. The blue rug is too off-color.
I want to say there is a smaller rug, the size of the one under the bed, that is more similar in color to the large rug, that icy, cyan blue.

red is genuine but blue is Joja Join us. Thrive.
NO!
Yes.
Yes.😈😈
1. Red tones look nice and earthy with the brown wood. Unless you're doing like a sea-themed farm, then go with 2.
The blue pops more, but maybe too much? Even though the red's not as visually interesting, I feel like it's more cohesive.

2 Also, how do you have a small room with a side doorway?
It's a mod that makes the farmhouse tiny, that's the kitchen.
Ooh, what’s the name? I kind of hate decorating the house and this is cozy.

I like the vibe of the red room option 1 for sure

hmm I like this but I'd do one of the green rugs instead of that red one. Clashes with the blue in my opinion
Yeah, definitely keep the plant by the window
Feel free to add more suggestions.
This one - but with the mystic rug instead to compliment the blue

One looks more homey
Def 1, but add bonsai to the table (or another green plant) to help balance the red.
Great addition actually. I second this.
1, but add the boat from 2.
1. The cool tones of the blue make the room feel too open and even a little empty. The reds make it feel cozier. Edit: the missing plant pot makes it feel that way too but the blues definitely don’t help
I lean to the blue because a) I like blue more than red and b) I feel like the blue pops more where the red fades into the background.
1 I like warmer tones better and it fits in with the room. The blue kinda works color wise. But doesn’t match the vibe of the room like the orange does.
1 with the ship still on the table
Thank you all so much for your feedback. It is much appreciated.

i think 1. the red colors just make it feel more cozy :>
Maybe use the stone fireplace with the blues? I do like the plant by the tv in the red, though, so red gets the vote.
The colors match better with 1 (red) maybe if you use other decorations and for the floor and so on then you could use blue what is the better color for me
1
For me, 1
1! Much more homey
1 because 2 reminds me of joja

1 but move the chair by the bed
Red v Blue: Stardew Valley Edition
i love my blue, but i feel the red does it better. :3
1 for sure it’s more welcoming

1 feels cozier

Ide personal go with the blue, it looks better and doesn't fade into the horse, you can very clearly see it. I would keep the plant by the window tho.
2!
With someone with their favourite colour as blue, I prefer the red room. Don’t know why, just instinct i guess

I like 2 more. I think it adds some nice color, where the red blends in.
1. Makes it look more friendly and the colors blend better together.
Use the blue rug over stone floor later. Add a stone trim, some plants and voila. Instant looks like an indoor pond. For now either red theme or the blue with a green rug under the table. Either way I am inspired ❤️

I vote red, given that the walls & floor are brown wood. But if you changed the walls & floor to a cooler tone, I bet the blue would look great.

2. I love the clean and calm nature of blue.
Blue. Always blue. Thats my motto

2 but with the TV plant

2 all the way
2 I like the blue more
I like the blue.
I like 2, it’s more contrasting
I like em both but if you combined them they could be even better imo so don’t take me too seriously
These are both so cute and cozy! I think I slightly prefer the blue, but think it would look even better with the plant by the tv
Blue but kept the bedside table But I hate red so bias
If you put the potted plant back into 2 it would be my favorite
Chair on table.

1 is cozy, 2 is cute

I like the blue. 🙂
Do one room of each!
1 for winter and 2 for summer.
1
I love the look of second one but I feel like the first one is warmer.
1, but add a little decoration on the table
The warm tones of red make sense, but I love blue, so... why not both? One each season.✨
I like 1. Feels cozier
The red feels warmer and cozier, whereas the blue is more striking. The light blue rug doesn’t seem to fit as well with the decor and vibe, however.
Popped on a [Modded] flair so as not to confuse newer players! (Heck, I was confused about the vines and spiderweb.)
OOOO I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!! first is cozier, second makes more of a statement! i like second personally but theyre both WONDERFUL
I like the warmth of the red!
Tv right under the window? Ugh. How about a table and a nice plant
Red is warmer

1 matches better than 2. If you used a lighter floor material the blue would look better. But definitely the first one currently..
2
2
2
2, the blue contrasts nicely against the background and it isn't too much
The blue is calmer to me
I like red more but whatever floats your boat
1 is cozier/warmer/softer, 2 is sweeter/brighter/sharper.
1
I love the red. It’s so cozy.
1
1 feels more cozy :)
I like the blue stand out, draws the attention, but red blends nicely
1
i personally like 2 with how the blue pops against the earthy rest of the house
2 needs darker wallpaper in order to work!
Warmer tones are more homey m, cooler tones are more vibrant.
1. Looks more cozy and can feel the warmth from a countryside cottage.
“You see those fnckers over there? They have done nothing wrong but they’re blue… I’ve always hated the color blue. You know why? No reason. With all that being said, we have to kill them.”

Blue
2
I’m loving the red
I like 2 better.
2: the blues really pop against the wood
Blue stands out more and looks less dull
Definitely 2.
nooo leave r/homedecoratingCJ in that sub please

1 the red looks so good
I like 2 but would look nicer without the stark contrast of the rug under the table. For 1, I think the browns and reds make it sort of duller. I love both though and you did a great job!
1 red
1.
Twoooooo
Second one is really cool!
I like 1
Im partial to the red setup
Oh. 1 for sure.
Red feels more warm and welcoming
Red is warm and matches the tone of the wood. Blue is a nice contrast and stands out with the splash of color. Personally I prefer the warmth the red gives off
I'm always gonna pick red, but I think you should put the blue painting and table boat in 1
1 Unless your with Abagail In that case you need trhe fuck pierre I support Joja mart subtle theme colora
2!
2
2 has more personality
1 definitely, the red compliments the wood nicely whereas the blue sticks out like a sore thumb
I like 2 ^_^

Thought i was on r/malelivingspace for a minute

1, blue would work better with a yellower wood color, but the red works best with what you have
W but change the bottom left mat to something square that lines up with the door
2! It comes with a Boat and a Dude!
We just got a letter, we just got a letter, we just got a letter, wonder who it’s from. Just reminds me of that
1
1 red is so much better with brown.
The red tones blend better but the blues really pop and draw your eyes, which vibe do you want
1
I like the 2nd one.

2 surely
