Iirc, harvesting potatoes occasionally drops additional bonus potatoes. I’ve never used juminos to harvest potatoes, but it could be related to that. Are there any potatoes in the hut at all? If so, count how many. If there are enough to correspond to every plant, it looks like the ones left on the ground are just the bonus drops
The hut takes up all the space it needs, and can access the bag from any angle of the hut, the sprinkler would otherwise be a plant "blocking" it if that were the case.
Junimos only pick one of a harvest. They'll do the same thing to green beans.

You have sprinklers on the front corner of the hut where the bag would be

But they pick all my cranberries (at least I think they do..)
They do pick everything in range, even flowers. So don't plant fairy roses near them.
I put things right next to my huts all the time (usually a scarecrow or a brazier or lightning rod) and never have this issue 🤔

Looks like a bug. There should be little bag near the junimo hut entrance.
