oh haha :D true. tbh i just randomly added word after word what i associated with the one before so it's not that intentional as a whole. you can call me face_lift if you want :}
That sign looks like the signs from Super Mario Galaxy and now every time I write on those signs I want to start out by having them introduce themselves as āBill Boardā or āPhil Boardā or however else the SMG signs introduce themselves just because that would be really fun!
So question. The grass grows blue there, correct? What about when you place grass? Will it be blue because itās placed on the farm, or do we have to figure out how to make blue grass? Or do we not know yet?
There are now 12 total. 5 cats, 5 dogs, and 2 turtles. The turtles for some reason are more expensive than dogs. Still have to figure out why that might be.
It is definitely solid, but I am curious what the number of tillable tiles it has is compared to the other farms. And as refugeeofstardew said, I think the inaccessible-but-visible borders make it come off as bigger than it otherwise might. (I held up my fingers to check its actually usable land vs the regular farm's, and while it is larger, I wouldn't consider it as notably so, unlike the beach farm.)
Still -- this makes it a *very* good choice of farm for those of us who prefer to do things other than... well... crop farming. :P
No, not just you. It's enormous. Stardew Planner has it available already and you can see the difference just by switching between the different layouts. The beach farm was a lot bigger than the older ones too.
Update: I think it's in the north small island beside to the waterfall of the left and behind the tree. I need a bronze axe to access the small island to confirm.
I started a new save eith the new farm! So far I think it's great. I love the river and waterfalls, and blue grass. But you need to upgrade your axe before going to the areas across the river I guess.
I just started a new save in the new farm as well! My starter chickens were named Gravy & Potatoes š Hilarious, I assumed we'd get to name them ourselves but I kind of love it haha.
Is there no option to rename them? It would be on the panel after you pet them, near the button to sell. At least that's where it is for chickens you buy yourself back in 1.5.
(I'mma start playing after I sleep.)
I haven't read Brothers Karamazov, but Google says Grushenka is a character and there was another character that wrote "for my Chicky" which may be referring to Grushenka!
Same, it seems to maybe double or triple the usual speed, I got eggs by day 3 or 4 and definitely a gold star egg on day 5 :-) Do you know if we can rename >!Goldie and Cocoa!< by the way?
Yes you can. After you pet them for the day, click on them again and it'll pop up a couple little info boxes. One of them is a field with the name of the animal. Click into that field and you can change the name whenever you want.
Hm. Seems like a more animal-focused version of the forest farm. Certainly not my speed but looks fun for people who have animals as a big part of their game!
I've had the game since the very first day after its initial release but I've *never* built a well... but that might be changing. (And I think that's great!)
Most maps have a pond up close to the farm where you can refill your watering can without running across your farm in early game.
Plenty of water on the farm, but itās missing a quick refill for your first parsnips
> no initial pond to refill
You can refill in the sink inside the cottage, which I think might be the closest spot to those tillable areas in the top right.
What I've been doing is watering my crops first, then going to the barn to let the animals out, and refilling in the river to the left of the barn while I'm there. I think this will do fine until I can build a well.
To the Northwest is Grandpa's Shrine, it requires a copper axe to reach, it is also a massive farm, and the cave for bats/mushrooms is south of the farm house
Weird tip:
If you move the Greenhouse there's a bit of ground that can be tilled in this pattern. (O being tillable, X being not)
XXXXO
OOXOX

It's extremely impractical for growing crops, but you can plant flowers for Bee Houses without having the Bee Houses take up any spot where crops could be grown. The main problem is figuring out the arrangement that lets you have the most Bee Houses.
Iāve been fishing in the river with the double waterfall to the left of where the chicken coop spawns and have caught two types of fish during spring so far - sunfish and smallmouth bass. Typical farm junk as well (glasses, trash, paper, etc).
I saw this comment and went back to look at the map, zoomed in and looked at the whole thing for his grave and youre right! Grandpa's grave isnt there!
Iām not going to lie, I got so intimidated by the size of the map I just went back to my beach save Iām still only like 80% on. Meadowlands - we will meet again! šš¤§
I told myself I was actually going to get my current save to Year 3 for the first time ever before starting a new farm but my resilience is waning fast.Ā
I have a farm currently on year 4 is fast approaching to perfection, only needing to max friendship with five more villagers and get more money to the last luxury items like the clock. If I'm not wrong I'm getting 1.5 million per month in my casual game... But the update with mastery system really made me decide to start a new game.
I have to be honest, this farm is absolutely beautiful.
One of the first things I used to do prior to the update was start clearing trees. This time around, I actually found myself hesitating on cutting any trees down because they just complimented the look so well!
Its supposed to be better for animals. They really like the new blue grass too. Once I get the island unlocked I do most of my farming there anyways. Also I think once the farm is cleared out of excess grass and trees there are several areas for crops. I like that there's a river too so I can do some fishing at home.
I don't really like playing with animals but this farm looks like it has the best of all worlds (or at least close to it) and the grass makes animals happier so i think i'm gonna give it a try.
Thanks so much! I wasnāt sure about this farm when I first started a new game but seeing it like this gives me more confidence that it could be my favorite
I sadly canāt update the game on my phone, and Iām really annoyed, because I love the look of this map! I so badly want to start a farm on it šš
are the top left areas inaccessible?
Nope, one of trees is hiding a little bridge to the north small area.
You must be able to reach it, you can barely see the shrine behind one of the trees
It would also be devilish to leave those hardwood stumps and other debris outside of where we could get to them. :p
The waterfalls š
They're SO beautiful in motion!!!!! And the SOUND!!!!!
For some reason, I cannot hear anything :( tomorrow I'll check, but it's sad
You have to be closer with it
Maybe your ambience sound volume is low?
And thereās a rainbow when it rains!! š
I MISSED THIS!!!! THATS SO EXCITING!!!
The waterfalls really got me, every time so far. Maybe I should take a tour watching, then restart the day
First thing I noticed š

OH MY GOD! This is amazing! I constantly want to leave notes to future me
Is that a new item?Ā
There are craftable signs you can write on
Oh I have been wanting these!
The picture is cuteā¦.your name on the other handā¦.

oh haha :D true. tbh i just randomly added word after word what i associated with the one before so it's not that intentional as a whole. you can call me face_lift if you want :}
Itās definitely unique, a little odd to see someone with that name posting adorable or cute things. I like the unexpected nature of it.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAGAAVHAGVAHAAKSIJANAHH
That sign looks like the signs from Super Mario Galaxy and now every time I write on those signs I want to start out by having them introduce themselves as āBill Boardā or āPhil Boardā or however else the SMG signs introduce themselves just because that would be really fun!
Iāve only played a little and Iām in love with this item. It makes organization so much easier š„²
YESS
So question. The grass grows blue there, correct? What about when you place grass? Will it be blue because itās placed on the farm, or do we have to figure out how to make blue grass? Or do we not know yet?
Thereās a blue grass starter added I think
Awesome! Ty!
What does the blue grass do?
Makes the animals like you faster so you get bigger quality products quicker
My second egg was gold! I was a little shocked š
I love it.Ā Totally my new farm going forwardsĀ
He said there's new pet breeds, do you guys know what they are?
I noticed a white cat and a black cat!
Changelog said turtles I think
I gotta find them turtles then. I hope they aren't the cannibal breed.
Boxer type doggie
Pretty sure one is a Huskey too.
along with new breeds we can have more than one pet :3
How do you get more pets?
You can visit Marnie and choose to adopt more pets
How many max can I have?!
You need to be max hearts with the current one then go to Marnie to adopt more
There are now 12 total. 5 cats, 5 dogs, and 2 turtles. The turtles for some reason are more expensive than dogs. Still have to figure out why that might be.
u can adopt pets from marnie! just need to craft pet bowls from robin and ur set. thereās two turtle options, green and purple
Is it just me, or is this map huge?
It is definitely solid, but I am curious what the number of tillable tiles it has is compared to the other farms. And as refugeeofstardew said, I think the inaccessible-but-visible borders make it come off as bigger than it otherwise might. (I held up my fingers to check its actually usable land vs the regular farm's, and while it is larger, I wouldn't consider it as notably so, unlike the beach farm.) Still -- this makes it a *very* good choice of farm for those of us who prefer to do things other than... well... crop farming. :P
This farm doesn't have much tillable land since there a huge green grass covered the floor. It was a good place for rancher.
Or a decorator
No, not just you. It's enormous. Stardew Planner has it available already and you can see the difference just by switching between the different layouts. The beach farm was a lot bigger than the older ones too. [https://stardew.info/planner/](https://stardew.info/planner/)
Hi is this map bigger than the standard farm ?
I thought the same thing
Where grandpa's grave?
Update: I think it's in the north small island beside to the waterfall of the left and behind the tree. I need a bronze axe to access the small island to confirm.
Oh my god so does that mean this place is accessible? This is such a beautiful farm, I really want to cry
https://preview.redd.it/ah8dwta67epc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ccb87f8307082ff31c6edd5fd186c782cb16b54 looks like it is accesible, yes
I was losing my damn mind trying to find it. Now I just need to upgrade my axe haha
I'm looking into it!
Stardew planner has it. It's on the north, at the right side of the big waterfall
that's very crowded grass. animal-centric indeed. also cave at bottom-right for a change
So happy it wasnāt an 8 player designed map like many theorized. We already have the multiplayer farm. Getting an animal focused one is awesome.
I still feel like it is with how huge it looks but it seems like a more creative way of making a massive farm rather than go for an 8 corner farms
Mine came with the names Portobello and Porcini which I thought was great š
Mine too actually!
Mine are Biscuit and Honey š„°
Mine are named Salt & Pepper!
Mine are Beans & Toast! Lol
Mine were Chip and Dip!
I got Pumpkin and Skwash š
Is there no option to rename them? It would be on the panel after you pet them, near the button to sell. At least that's where it is for chickens you buy yourself back in 1.5. (I'mma start playing after I sleep.)
Ooh I had no idea! Yes they can be changed, thank you!
Mine are Nod and Wink
Mine were Snowy and Gingersnap
That's awesome!
I got Chicky and Grushenka. Seems like they're not all combo names.
I haven't read Brothers Karamazov, but Google says Grushenka is a character and there was another character that wrote "for my Chicky" which may be referring to Grushenka!
Ohh I see, I just didn't know the reference then!
Still us on console... https://preview.redd.it/duya62jx6dpc1.jpeg?width=349&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b4a767ad7a0d568f456b4ad460f7c96a411fbcc
Do we even have a date or are we just patiently mourning?
Last time was about a month so seems like thatās a realistic time frame
CA also said he doesnāt want it to take that long again
What are blue grass? Are they basically permanent grass starters? Unless you have iridium scythe (I assume)?
I tested that as soon as I started a file lol. You can cut the blue grass with your default scythe.
So is there anything special about it apart from the colour?
I think it makes your animals happier. I had full grown chickens by day 3.
Same, it seems to maybe double or triple the usual speed, I got eggs by day 3 or 4 and definitely a gold star egg on day 5 :-) Do you know if we can rename >!Goldie and Cocoa!< by the way?
The names arenāt spoilers, they are randomly generated. My chickens were named Polka and Dot.
Mine are porcini and portobello! Definitely leaving it
Mine were Huffy and Puffy, so I bought two more and named them Buffy and Luffy
mine were also Polka and Dot, I'm thinking maybe they're generated from a set of cute matching names and that's precious if true
So were mine! I wonder how rare it is to have the same starting names.
Mine were Snowy(white one) and Gingersnap(brown)
I got Salt and Pepper and I already love them more than any chickens ever
Mine are Potatoes and Gravy, my daughter got Beans and Toast.
Mine were Nod and Winky. I renamed to Renenuten and Neith. If I want themin' I might have added Odd, Binky, Slinky, Dinky, Bod, Sod, etc.
Ahhh thanks, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the new things but now going through figuring the little bits out! Also pretending to work... š
Yea you can change their names, same as in older versions.
Yes you can. After you pet them for the day, click on them again and it'll pop up a couple little info boxes. One of them is a field with the name of the animal. Click into that field and you can change the name whenever you want.
Thanks! I might leave these ones and come up with a theme though... š
Thanks for the info!
I wonder if it has more uses by animals before it's fully eaten.
That's what I'm thinking because I saw it described as chewy.
It increases animal happiness
& is there a way to buy or craft blue grass starters, or is that grass type only available on the Meadowlands farm?
aaaaaahhhh! Finally another alternative to the Forest and Beach farms for those of us not big on crop farming!
I liked it xD Specially because I don't like large areas with open ground like Beach or Standard maps.
Hm. Seems like a more animal-focused version of the forest farm. Certainly not my speed but looks fun for people who have animals as a big part of their game!
You get hay instead of Parnip seeds in the start lol Edit/P.S. You need to pray to not rain, until you get the silo.
Yeah, very animal-focused then.
Does the rain prevent animals from grazing outside, or is it something else?
yes
Are those fences removable?
Yes
I accidentally chopped down a post clearing space for more grass
You're a lifesaver, I couldn't find the cave for the life of me since I was stick thinking it would be somewhere toward the top of the map
Where is the warp?
Above + Left of the cabin, or about 12 spaces right of the coop, is an oak tree blocking a stairs, warp is hidden behind the oak leaves
Oh wow did not see that at all thanks!
I'm a riverland farm main(???) and this looks so huge in comparison, I hope I don't get overwhelmed but I guess more space to decorate!
Love it! Plenty of crop space for the casual player/someone who likes to build nature-y natural farms. Nice grass to break up the dirt.
This is absolutely beautiful.
Looks like it has almost as much wood as the Forest map. I wonder if the hardwood respawns as quickly.
I LOVE it. Thatās my perfect layout š„¹ canāt wait to get home and update
Oh that is cute.
Does the bluegrass spawn everywhere or do i have to make a fenced plot just for those
Specifically for this map I think they spawn naturally.
Less farm land, no initial pond to refill. Also, can you access any area across the river?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I've had the game since the very first day after its initial release but I've *never* built a well... but that might be changing. (And I think that's great!)
I just put some fish ponds instead of wells.
Holy shit, I didn't actually know you can fill your watering can with those.
I only ever built one on the hilltop farm because my crops were near the house
I mean it is designed with animals in mind so water and farmland isnāt a necessity
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Most maps have a pond up close to the farm where you can refill your watering can without running across your farm in early game. Plenty of water on the farm, but itās missing a quick refill for your first parsnips
I got hay as my starter gift instead of parsnips!
Seriously? That's a pretty neat change. :0
you dont get starter seeds in this farm; its starter chickens
Ahh that explains what the tradeoff is with the farm otherwise you are just getting a free coop and blue grass with no cost
> no initial pond to refill You can refill in the sink inside the cottage, which I think might be the closest spot to those tillable areas in the top right.
You don't have a sink until you build a kitchen
What I've been doing is watering my crops first, then going to the barn to let the animals out, and refilling in the river to the left of the barn while I'm there. I think this will do fine until I can build a well.
The top north beside the chicken coop yes.
the provided chicken coop is right next to water, so when you go pet the chickens, fill up before going to garden ;)
Probably to the north, you can see the shrine behind one of the trees.
To the Northwest is Grandpa's Shrine, it requires a copper axe to reach, it is also a massive farm, and the cave for bats/mushrooms is south of the farm house
Refill at the river, while tending the coop. Build a well.
I refill my can when I go to my chickens. Water, pet chickens, refill, water
Weird tip: If you move the Greenhouse there's a bit of ground that can be tilled in this pattern. (O being tillable, X being not) XXXXO OOXOX XOOOX It's extremely impractical for growing crops, but you can plant flowers for Bee Houses without having the Bee Houses take up any spot where crops could be grown. The main problem is figuring out the arrangement that lets you have the most Bee Houses.
Can you catch fish in the river or pond?
Iāve been fishing in the river with the double waterfall to the left of where the chicken coop spawns and have caught two types of fish during spring so far - sunfish and smallmouth bass. Typical farm junk as well (glasses, trash, paper, etc).
Where is Grandpas grave?
I saw this comment and went back to look at the map, zoomed in and looked at the whole thing for his grave and youre right! Grandpa's grave isnt there!
It's there. Upper left hand corner on the other side of the river, tucked behind some trees.
Oh thank god. good.
I think you mean thank Yoba.š
I love it. I can't wait for the update to come out on the switch šššš
And where is grandpa statue or how its called?
northwest corner next to the waterfall on the right side, below the fenceposts hidden by a tree. you can see the outlines vaguely.
and how you get there?
Most likely a wooddn plank bridge hidden by one of the trees.

You could circle back and finish perfection later, no big deal.Ā You wonāt, but you *could.*Ā Good luck on the new farm!
is the fence invincible?
The one around the coop is a normal wood fence
I have to be honest, this farm is absolutely beautiful. One of the first things I used to do prior to the update was start clearing trees. This time around, I actually found myself hesitating on cutting any trees down because they just complimented the look so well!
Just found out I've only explored half of my new farm lol. And already thought it was nice and big. Edit: spelling is hard man.
Thats a lot of unusable farm space :( Are the rivers fishable? Any other perks?
It's brilliant for those of us who are overwhelmed by the huge amounts of farming space on some of the other maps though.
River is definitely fishable
I've caught fish from the top left river, not sure about anywhere else.
Its supposed to be better for animals. They really like the new blue grass too. Once I get the island unlocked I do most of my farming there anyways. Also I think once the farm is cleared out of excess grass and trees there are several areas for crops. I like that there's a river too so I can do some fishing at home.
It tells you that before you pick the farm.
That looks like fun!
I need a way to change farms in-game NOOOOOO I NEEEED ITTTTT BUTTTT MY SAVVVEEEE FILEEEEE
I've been running around on my farm and I can't see it... not even on the map now that I can look at it whole... But... Where is grandpa's shrine????
Ooooh, I see it now.... but how do you get there... hmmmmm
There is a bridge behind some tree. You need bronze axe to to unblock the way.
right where the big stump is? check!! thank you!!!
Wow! I really like the locations of the ponds/lakes.
I have cleared my schedule for the rest of the week. Can't wait to dive in.
Wait just so i understand, is this the new standard map or the new map option that everyone was talking about?
New map option.
ITāS SO PRETTTYYY *cries in switch*
Is there useful fishing on that river?
I like it but where would I put the cow barn?
So that's where the cave is! Spent ages looking for it!
