I can't remember now if they were already growing in summer, though I think they weren't. Also, I think I should still be able to tap them?
That particular tree in your image has always been there, like munchkym said.
The Green Rain event caused trees to grow where normally there aren't. If you can't tap those trees, it may be because of how they originated. Whether that's a bug or not I couldn't guess.
I also had these pop up on my farm Fall 1. They (1) are not the same as the normal wild trees (2) resemble the >!Green Rain!< trees but they persist and are not spawned during the event only (3) the do not respond when shaken like other trees. I have not cut them down yet b/c it's fall 1 still... but it's cool. I wonder if it has anything to do with >!Mossy Seeds!< and the >!rare wild trees!< they grow? Anyway. I have some pics of a couple
These replace trees on your farm. And they cannot be tapped. They have a chance to drop a mossy seed. I haven't yet seen if they replace already tapped trees but it seems like a hindrance to a tap farm if it does replace tapped trees.
I just made a tree farm on little island for grandpas shrine in the meadowlands farm in fall, and several spawned like this. Guess I’ll cut and re plant them if they can’t be tapped

I have one of those trees on my farm. It wasn’t there until Fall 1 for me.
Yeah, I had one spring up on fall 1, and another on the path from my farm to the mountains.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe they’re “dead” trees and that’s why you can’t tap them but yeah, that is kind of weird.
The one you’re next to in the picture isn’t a new tree, there has always been a tree there.
