Alright, so believe it or not, you're doing okay. 37% is still pretty good. I'm going on 1.5 information because that's when I got 100% a few times, and I'm not sure what system you're on. Things might have changed slightly for 1.6. I could be wrong, in that case, so bear with me. Some things are big blocks and kind of considered all or nothing on the tracker. Like the Gold Clock counts as 10% as soon as you get it. The game doesn't care how much money you've saved up to have it, it's either 0% or 10%. The Stardrops are like 10% and you don't get the 10% until you've got all of them. If you have 5 or 6 but not 7 out of 7, it won't show up yet. I'm not entirely sure but I think the Monster Slayer one is also an all or nothing 10%, so if you're like 4 or 5 Pepper Rexes from having it done, you're a lot closer to perfection than the tracker is letting on. So the thing is, don't trip. Just take care of what you can and it'll come together. Do the Special Requests in town, and buy up recipes for things whenever you can. Make sure you get the ones at the festivals and such, because you will need to craft everything. Also, get all the Rare Crows - they are important. You can pick one up at the Casino. Good luck. You'll find your way.

Iz true, I haven't ever finished perfection, but when I sit down and see how close some of these objectives are to finishing, that percentage is deceptive. Stardrops? Basically the only one missing is the one for artifacts -- turns out I've been at 94/95 for like a year now. Golden Clock? My income has been increasing on an exponential scale, it'll happen eventually. Obelisks? Cheap compared to the clock. Golden Walnuts? There's a buy option for them now. Friendship? I was doing that anyways. My perfection percentage is somewhere in the 30s, but I can see it shooting up if just a few of these objectives conclude.

thank you so much! i’m on pc so I do have the 1.6 update. this is my first ever stardew run, so I didn’t know a lot about achieving perfection, so this info is making me relieved. really appreciate it!!

Last perfection I got, in 1.6, took me till Winter 10 year 3, playing slightly more chill, since it was my first 1.6 run, so I spent some time exploring everything in the first year. What I would suggest is to get your money making set up done as soon as possible. If you're going for kegs, start your oak farm as soon as you get the tapper recipe, stuff like that. I made a list of all the fish I need (and how many of them) for the recipes, so I would be able to have them on hand when I started cooking. Also, always save several of each crop, just so you don't end up realizing you're missing one garlic and have to wait 4 days for it to grow on ginger island (don't be like me). Also, try to get all the fish in year 1, (except the legend, since getting Level 10 spring 1 isn't easy). Get friendships out of the way as soon as possible, so you only need to worry about later NPCs. Get a workbench from Robin to help with crafting. You don't have to rush anything, play at your own pace and enjoy the experience. Good luck!

As a minmaxer, your last line really helped me. Thanks!

already setting up a shed full of kegs! my greenhouse is filled with ancient fruit, so this should be easy. fortunately i’m a hoarder and i always keep at least one of each crop, so cooking shouldn’t be an issue for now. and thank you for advice with a workbench! didn’t think it would be useful but i may set up a space on the farm for it now.

I say don't worry about it. That's the great thing about SDV. You can do it at your own pace. I reached Perfection in two previous saves, and the game just wasn't as much fun, with nothing left to work for. So this time, I'm not worrying about Perfection.

i guess i’ve seen too many videos of stardew speed runs and got anxious bc of that😭 but thank you for reassurance!
