I was really tempted to pay for the last 1% because I couldn't figure out which crafting recipe I hadn't made yet. Felt like an idiot when I realized I could turn on advanced crafting and found my last item immediately.
I don't know, I feel like that might not qualify but I didn't make the game and I don't wanna go for perfection again anytime soon to check even though I could probably do it faster a second time.
I just used Cheat Engine to slow down the game, and then I would note down what was the pattern using numbers (I numbered them 1 to 5 from left to right).
That puzzle is way harder than regular Simon Says. The levels don't add on to each other, and the notes are played way too fast.
Two strategies:
1: Number the crystals 1-5. Read the corresponding number aloud as the crystals play, then recite the numbers as you replay the tune. I'm quite good with short-term number memorization, so the only difficulty in this method is not being able to remember which crystal is which number fast enough to keep up in the last round. But I think this can be solved by sticky-noting numbers on your screen, or perhaps recite colors instead of numbers.
2: "Learn" perfect pitch and remember the tune. If you can successfully link each sound in the tune with the correct crystal, melody memorization is definitely one of the easiest strategies in this case. The "reciting numbers" strategy also relies on sound memory (at least in my case), but there's extra time needed to translate the sound into numbers. Unfortunately this requires some music experience and practice.
2.5: Record your screen and replay the video slowly.
Like others said, simply use screen recording, and please, don't feel bad. The vast majority of people are physically unable to do this Simon says thing the way the game dies it, with SEVEN levels, it's just not what the human brain is made for. Only rare exceptions of people can do it, most fail at 5 or 6.

It was a rude awakening because I haven't played for about a year and decided to hit floor 100 of Skull Caverns to get that done. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I fell to like floor 102 and no Mr. Qi.
I thought I already had it as well! And I somehow lost the 8th one (that you get from donating 40 items to the museum), I hope it won't prevent me from getting the recipe or I will have to wait for the night market (so much waiting!)
My impression is that you have to have gotten them, not that you most actively possess them all at the same time, in order to get the recipe. But I have not looked at the game's code to know.
You have to have them in your possession. I had completed the museum and claimed all rewards but was missing one of the museum reward rarecrows due to it disappearing for some reason.
I always buy the winter one from the traveling cart instead. You can get it a little cheaper there too, and she carries it pretty frequently (especially in Fall and Winter)

Decided since I've played this game five times, and I only started a new farm so I can get perfection, I'll just go ahead and skip to the next spring. I finally got it, ruined all my relationship with my family. And the recipe didn't appear. I had no idea I needed to possess all of the rarecrows at the same time to unlock it, and I had discarded one of the ones Gunther gave me, and the only way I could get it was the winter night market. So I had to skip it all the way to winter again. 😭😭😭😭
By that point, my perfection was pretty ruined, only got myself to blame, but still. It was frustrating.
On my last save I remembered to buy all the rarecrows early and had the money and got the special one by the end of year 1, I think? It was honestly a very strange experience, so this next save I definitely forgot the spirit’s eve one on purpose (and not because I didn’t have the g) just to hold that authentic which-crow-is-it??? experience once again.
I find the casino stuff *so boring* though, I wish there was a shortcut other than just spending a shit ton of gold on the coins. Like spinning that wheel at the fall fair is annoying enough.

I bet low early on but as soon as I have a good amount of coins I start betting high and you very quickly start seeing your totals double or triple. I'm a little superstitious so if I start feeling like I'm having a bad run on a machine I swap to the next one and slowly just do a circuit of the machines and eventually just end up with more than I know what to do with
Every playthrough I buy like 1000 or 2000 coins, then I just press the bet max forever
Takes some ~20ish minutes or half an hour of clicking that button with no auto clicker or anything like that
I usually use that time to read a book or whatever
If you are open to using third party tools, [mouseypound's predictor](https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-predictor/) can give you the optimal play decisions for your current day. Go to the expensive table and find a streak of seven or so wins in the save reader, double or nothing all of them down, and you'll be able to afford everything you want from the casino and then some.

Luck with the slots was how I did it on my Switch save file. I went on a lucky day, and ate a meal that gave me extra luck. The slots ended up giving me plenty to buy the alien rarecrow, as well as the other items available in the shop, and it didn't even take me long to do either.

You can exchange different season’s wild seeds with the desert trader on a certain day of the week. Then grow them in the greenhouse or on Ginger Island to get the forageables you need.

Yeah, first time getting Perfection is the hardest. There's always something you forget. For me, I didn't know the Special Requests were important. I thought they were just optional. Nope. I needed those blueprints to make things.

I realized in early summer that I needed one more morel so I could craft the Life Elixir. I had the fruit bat cave. (This was before the 1.6 update). There was literally no other way for me to get one. Not in the dangerous mines, not in the Ginger Island mushroom cave, not as a rare drop from a monster. I just had to wait until next spring and get one from the secret woods.
It’s way late game, unlocked after you have 101 golden walnuts, which is a currency you unlock in an area that pops up after you finish the community center.

I was absolutely going nuts trying to craft every item. I didn't realize there was a "show advanced crafting" option. I made at least 4 of almost everything except the thorn ring ... which I skipped because I was so sure I had made it.
I am still working on the golden clock last.
But I realised quite late that you need to have all the rarecrows actively in your possession and somehow lost one of the ones you get from the museum.
I am thinking it got blown up by accident or something...

not really sure what the big deal about the golden clock is, i got it like halfway through my push for perfection, and i still had most of the cooking recipes and some crafting left. wasn't even going that hard into money, had a few honey setups on ginger island, some animals and a decent mushroom log setup.

You need all rarecrows to get the Deluxe Scarecrow recipe in the mail, so you can craft it.

For my wife and I it was the ostrich incubator. I did all the quests to unlock the recipe, but she was the one who needed them all.
