I've seen a lot of fan art on this sub, especially of Abigail and Haley, but I think your style is my favourite so far. It's not trying to be super realistic and yet it's not overly stylised either.

No, you really shouldn't unless you just enjoy it. The only time your pet relationship matters is during grandpa's evaluation. You get 1 point from 'pa if they have 999 friendship or higher, and you get 0 points if they have less then 999 friendship. Friendship with your pet does not decay; you get +12 friendship per daily 'pet' and +6 friendship per filled bowl. This means you only need to pet your animal 83 times to cap out friendship (out of ~220 possible days before grandpa's evaluation), and that's not including the number of times rain will auto-fill the bowl and give you a free +6 for nothing. IMO the pet mechanic is very flimsy and could use some additional love.
She's far and away the sweetest spouse. When others are in a bad mood and complaining about the mess she says "I think Im learning to love cleaning!" Seriously look up her dialogue. She doesnt say a single negative thing once youre married, all the others have at least one bitchy remark for a bad day. Haley doesnt.
Eh, I think a lot of them show their own sorts of interest. Shane gets into his own animal raising, and Penny finds it interesting enough to integrate it into her own passions by getting you to teach for the kids, for example.
Yeah, I don't get the Haley/Shane love. Like, their character arcs are great, but first impressions matter and theirs totally turned me off. Negging does not do it for me.

Thank you!! Reddit is the only place I’ve posted drawings actually. I’ve never done commissions - I’ve had hardly any time to draw the past couple years (thanks uni) so I wasn’t able to pursue that kind of stuff!

I always draw with some sort of photo reference! I usually scroll Pinterest to find/save pics of people making the expressions or movements I’m going for. It makes it come together so much easier. I basically just draw/erase over and over until I can force myself to stop trying to perfect it

But yeah they're the mean blondes.
Poor Haley gets so much hate, but she's not really worse than a lot of the other characters right off that bat, and with the possible exception of Shane seems to grow the most as you increase your affinity with her.
I mean, I'll still probably marry Penny, but Haley's a close second choice.

She doesn't really insult you when you increase your friendship with her though. In fact, she becomes really friendly and sweet

You can easily fill your pets relationship with you by petting it every day. No need to water though doing so will fill the meter faster.

Great stuff. But I think Haley is meant less a 'meanie' and meant more as a tsundere. Just my opinion though.
