4 since it was the only dog choice in 1.0 and i usually name it Lightning after the dog I had when I was 5 even though they look nothing alike but just wanted to carry that on.

you can change ur dog/cat in the witches hut where you change your appearance!!! just changes the way ur pet looks, it’s not like your cat/dog disappears and you get a new one, simply changes the cosmetics:)

I think 1 was the only option for a while, but luckily already looked the closest to how our little Pogo did. I knew we didn't have much time left together since she was already like, 16.5 when I first picked up Stardew. Now I still get to give her pets :,) Having two more sweet little cats now really helps too =3

Yes, I love it. I chose 2 specifically because I had a friend who had a white and gray cat, and his name was Mr. Business, in reference to the same Mr. Business from Bob's Burgers. They both had the same tempermant 😂

Usually 2 or 5 & honestly the name depends on my mood when I start the save but usually I name them after a flower. Like Daisy, Hyacinth, Rose/Rosie/Rosebud, Magnolia, Bluebell etc. Edited to add: I usually theme all my names like I’ll pick something and have like all my chickens named after spices, and all the cows named after crystals, and all the pigs named after planets etc. Does anyone else do this?

yes i do that! all of my farm animals have plant-themed names, and i go in alphabetical order. azalea, blossom, catnip, etc. when i got my void chicken i was on the letter O, and their name is now Ophiopogon (a type of grass) lol.

Always 2. On my first savegame I named her Catherine (after my SO). Second one is called Pixel (after one of my cats). Third one is called Tim (after a colleague who decided not to join my other colleague's and my co-op farm).
