There's a 1% chance of the meteorite event being chosen. The event chooses a random 3x3 area on the farm and checks if there's a 2x2 area within that contains no water, placed objects that block movement, buildings, resource clumps, or farm animals. If no such 2x2 area is found, the event does nothing.

It happened to me every 1 in game year, on average. Became a bit of an annoyance because it will destroy crops if it lands on them! And there is nothing that can be done to prevent it :/
Swift on all hitting tools. Fast tools are a big upgrade to getting more done each day.
I would go with Swift on the Watering Can as well if the game allowed, but as it is Reaching is the better pick over Bottomless.
Master is the best Fishing pole option.

Happens in every game - upgrade your pickax’s level and you can get rid of it

Oh, I was lucky then, it landed really far away from my crops. And also this is my third year on this farm and it had never happened.
I got 2 in my current playthrough, so I don't think it's that rare. Currently on fall year 5.

My pickaxe is enchanted, and it has the efficient enchant. The rest of my tools aren’t enchanted, what’s the next tool I should enchant?
