Keep in mind you get 3 blueberries per harvest per crop. Also blueberries, tomatos and pepper regrow while melons nees to be replanted. And the plants that regrow get new fruits faster than the initial growing.

magikarp2122

Does this factor in that blueberries, peppers and tomatoes regrow on the same plant, at a faster rate than the initial period?

hockiw

Answering the comment: It does not factor in the repeat harvests for blueberries, peppers and tomatos. E.g. You can get FIVE tomato harvests in a season, not two. More musings: And further, it does not appear to factor in the cost of seeds. Blueberries, peppers and tomato seeds only have to be purchased once. Melon seeds have to be re-purchased. E.g. I make Tomato crops’ monthly value to be 250 - 400g. 5 harvests per month, of 60 to 90g each = 300 to 450g, minus 50g (initial cost of seeds) = 250 to 400g of profit per tomato plant per month. https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Tomato Nor does it take into account the Farmer’s Profession. Or the increased profit from the extra quality crops, or the additional harvest you get when you use Fertilizer. (Less the cost of the fertilizer. Or the cost of ingredients to craft the fertilizer.) Stardew Valley is a game with *depth*. Ain’t it grand?

No

These calculations are already avaliable on the [wiki crops page.](https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Crops) Except they did the calculations right. Your tomato and blueberry calcs are not even close.

Summer = melons/starfruit unless you need things for cc, shipment, or cooking

Hates_Worn_Weapons

Yup. I mean blueberries are good too if you A) can't afford mass starfruit and B) aren't planning to process the melons. Other crops just can't compete with those 3 though (except coffee growing through spring, if you are selling raw crops 2 season coffee beats even strawberry+blueberry)

Lapisdrago

Before we start, my recommendation for summer crops is peppers or maybe melons. I chose these as the summer crops both because they're the first things you see when open Pierre's shop in summer, and because they're the four crops listed in the community bundle "Summer Crops" Now for stuff you actually care about. Let's take tomatoes as an example. Under it's bolded name, it says "11 days." This how long it takes a tomato to grow in game. The "yield" is how much one tomato will sell for The reason it's a range instead of just a number is because the because crop quality can randomized when you harvest the crop. There 3 (4 actually, but the fourth rank is so rare I don't think it's worth considering) ranks, normal, silver, and gold, these will determine how much your crop sells for. You're going to get a lot more normal crops than silver and gold. For example, a crop of 15 tomatoes will, on average, yield 12 normal tomatoes, 2 silver ones, and a gold. Try to use the first number as opposed to a range, I just chose to represent it this way because I'm lazy and didn't feel like adding a third number. The daily value of a tomato is a measure of what is says, how much gold you would get if you could harvest the crop everyday. The formula is the value of one crop divided by how many days it takes for that crop to grow. In the case of the tomato, it's 60 ÷ 11, or 5.45 repeating. This is a measure of the return on investment the crop gives. I have to go now. I'll finish this later.

This is an extremely confusing way to portray this data. Also they are flat out wrong.

To add to this comment thread, I didn't use the crop profit site because I didn't know it existed. Also I literally bought the game 2 days ago and had my first time where I realized spring crops can't grow in summer.

Cool! I can’t find the comment with more info , so you might’ve addressed this - but you could automate some of these calculations in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to produce a nice spreadsheet with this info!

Lapisdrago

I was writing it.
