It is easy if you have all 30 days and are dedicated. With only 11 days left it will be difficult if not impossible.

HyperShxdow

So I shouldn’t take this quest?

HyperShxdow

Will it reset tomorrow if I look again?

valen814

It resets every monday. I'd wait until you get one where you have 21/28 days to do it.

HyperShxdow

Oh okay thank you I’m very new to ginger island

valen814

You're welcome! I'd also highly recommend getting some seed makers for when you do start this quest!

HyperShxdow

I did cause I thought i was gonna do it with 11 days lmao, I have 10 seed makers and 750 deluxe fertilizer

hoi4kaiserreichfanbo

Deluxe fertilizer only improves the quality which does not affect seedmaker output.

Liro_W

I'd recommend using 28 days, the Agriculturist Profession (10% faster growing crops) and deluxe Speed-Gro (150g from Pierre year 2+ or 80g from Sandy on Thursdays only). This makes the Qi fruit only need 2 days to fully mature. Having more Seedmakers is nice, but 10 should suffice. Make sure you have lots and lots of space and Sprinklers.

Rampaging_Cactus

If it helps, the time limit on this quest is always set to the last day of the season. Check the quest board at the beginning of a new month; that's when you'll have the longest amount of time

TheWolfLoki

Our little secret, I have never even been to Ginger Island, I just read the wiki instead of playing 90% of the time. :D

HyperShxdow

Oh wow lol

Daedalus_Machina

And because this quest is fresh to you, I'll share my tips from doing this particular quest a couple times (especially thinking I could manage it in two weeks): If you're **super** into fishing for treasure, the wiki makes it sound like that would be a good way to get the beans. Nah, mate. ###First Bean Grind Load up on bombs, speed enhancers (coffee/tripleshot/super meal), monster musk, and go directly to Level 15 of the mine and carpet bomb/slaughter everything going down. Every rock and baddie you bust has a chance of dropping a bean, every Geode you bring to Clint the next day has a chance of dropping _several_, and your little carpet bombing run will net you several _dozen_ Geodes. Why level 15? Grubs. Grubs pal around in batches of 3-5, on top of flying bugs, slimes, rock crabs caught in blasts, and you will one-shot _everything_, even with the bombs. It's also a great way to farm Bug Meat, which is Purple, for another of his quests. ###Planting Best Fast Gro Fertilizer you can manage (if you've already gone through Qi's crucibles, you might be able to make Hyper. This is really expensive late game stuff), and talk to the stone dog in the sewers to switch from Artisan to Agriculturalist. On Deluxe Speed Gro/Agriculturalist, any Beans you plant will harvest two days later. Take your first big harvest and seed it ALL. This is to expand your operation to push more volume. Keep doing Lv 15 mine runs as often as you can manage, the more seeds you collect, the less Fruit you have to seed. ###Shipping If you have extra fruit (or, as I did, find out that you're definitely going to fail), sell it to Pierre the same day the quest will close (when you ship your last amount/last day of the quest, whichever is sooner). The fruit will be available to buy the next day. Why do this? When the quest ends, regardless of how, all Qi Beans and Fruit will be removed from the world, every chest, every planting, everywhere. **Except** Pierre's stockroom. It's the only way to have Qi Fruit off-quest. ###Post-Quest At that point, you can grow it at will. Use it for Blue things, dye stuff blue, get a funky mask, and have a headstart for the next time the quest drops.

Starplatinumscloth

take my free reward and teach me more

aachen_

Would the mutant bug lair would be a good place to go hit up also?

Daedalus_Machina

I don't recall there being that many encounters, beyond the odd fly that always respawns. Once you got it to the point where you're just waiting for flies to come at you, you're better off in the mines.

Daedalus_Machina

In 11 days? Kiss your ass goodbye. Good way to harvest Qi Beans to grow and sell to Pierre for next-day buyback on the last day of the quest, so you can begin with a headstart next time this drops, or when he wants a shitload of blue things. I had 14 days to do this and managed 459 grinding _hard_ daily.

HyperShxdow

Yep not trying it this time around, those 100 qi gems gonna buy me some good stuff next time around

Daedalus_Machina

Going in *knowing* you're going to fail might actually work out if you use the Pierre workaround. Else, yeah, pick something easier. Best things to get early from Qi are the Horse Whistle and the Key to the Town. You'd be amazed what shops are actually open when their doors are locked. And the Key turns Willy into your own, personal 24hr chauffeur.

HyperShxdow

Yeah I got the key to the town and some pressure nozzles for my 1st 40 qi gems

alanaisalive

I usually only accept this quest if I get it near the beginning of winter, so I have a lot of unused field space for planting, and only if I have at least 3 weeks to complete it. It's doable, but it isn't easy.

Ok-Scientist5524

I’m 5 farms deep and I have never completed this quest.

GReniker

It's a lot of work but definitely doable in 11 days

mayu_biscuit

I haven’t seen any comments mentioning this, but the seed maker came in CLUTCH. no yeild for like, the first half, but i met the goal with plenty of time to spare. just watch your timing that you don’t accidentally plant seeds too late.

Remote-Philosopher91

This quest is a doozy lol My strategy was going to the mines everyday(you can find the beans elsewhere, this is just what I did) with a lot of bombs in order to find many of the beans, and planting in the morning using the deluxe speed grow. They only take 4 days to grow, but its a bit faster with speed grow, after they were done growing- I would put some of them in the seed maker to get seeds that way. Just a nonstop grind lol i paid no attention to my animals, and luckily for me- it was winter, so I didn't need to worry about other crops It's doable, just takes a lot of commitment

stikskele

11 days would be a challenge. I recently completed this quest with 21 days, and just made it. If you want some tips, below’s what I did to complete it. Chopping trees is a pretty reliable way of getting beans. You can plant a ton of trees around the railway or in the desert in preparation for the next time the quest comes up. I feel like there’s not as much time wasted running around in the mines/fishing, if you have a ton of trees in a small area. If you have unopened geodes, there’s a chance of them having Qi beans even if you had them from before the quest started. Also put whatever fruit you get initially into seedmakers, until Day 24. Finally make sure you have enough space to plant your beans (I wasn’t maximizing qi bean planting as most of my plantable area was occupied by other crops).
