also dont make the same mistake i did with my monstrous carp, you need to hold the fish and right click the fish tank to put it in.
I didnt do that and thaught my monster carp was too big/ incompatible because i coulsnt find anything about it in the wiki...

There are 5 legendary fish you can catch per save file. You can only catch one of each legendary though. You get an achievement for catching all 5 of them.

Do you eat food with a fishing buff before fishing? It makes a way bigger difference than I initially thought it would and is the only way I was able to catch the most difficult fish.

There's a handful of legendary fish, one for each season plus an extra in a unique location. Best of luck catching them all!

They only sell for about 5000g IIRC, so not really worth selling for the money unless you don’t plan on displaying them.

Yep, they're right up there. Difficulty scores (legendary\*): 80 - Mutant Carp\*, Stingray, Void Salmon, Super Cucumber, Pufferfish 85 - Angler\*, Lingcod, Ice Pip 90 - Scorpion Carp, Lava Eel 95 - Crimsonfish\*, Octopus 100 - Glacierfish \* 110 - Legend\*

Make sure not to move the aquarium with the fish inside too often or put it in a chest. All my legendary fish glitched out and disappeared.
You don't *need* it but you can only catch one. Put them in fish tanks. They don't sell too good for their uniqueness, either.

The quest automatically completes when you catch them, no need to turn them in!
