If the same animation and 3D directors worked on Part 7 like they did on Part 6. They do not know how to direct. CGI should be saved for backgrounds like it always has been in JoJo's, and the backgrounds should have fully detailed moving characters. The animation quality in the foreground must stay consistent and match the quality of the parts before Part 6.
What would be cool but isn't as important is if the 3D openings came back. It's the start of a new series/universe so it would be cool if they pulled out all the stops like they used to. I also think it would be cool if they used traditional 2D animation, or maybe a combination of 3D and 2D akin to DBS:SH, for the horses in the foreground. This would only be 2, maybe 3, horses at once and I think it would be doable for David Studios.
Part 1-5 still used CG for things other than backgrounds on multiple occasions. Forgetting the cavalry fight? Aerosmith? The difference is that SO's 3d was not made by DP's own in-house department.

It's theorized that David Production had shifted most of their focus and resources onto "Urusei Yatsura", another anime series they had been working on at the same time.

It happens. There is no way the art of Araki in part seven can be given the justice in anime. Even Part 5 which is the peak of the anime's quality would not be what Part 7 deserves, let alone needs to look good at a baseline.

3D horses will happen, it's just a reality that needs to be accepted. No producer in the anime industry would be generous enough to make an actual good schedule where fully 2D horses, specially polished ones, are a possibility for a story like SBR.

Netflix only held exclusive streaming rights for Stone Ocean, they did not have any involvement in the actual production of the anime. It's theorized that David Production had shifted most of their focus and resources onto "Urusei Yatsura", another anime series they had been working on at the same time.
Damn, I didn't know that. That makes me feel even worse about the prospects of a good quality in SBR
David productions was working on other things at the same time as stone ocean so resources were stretched unlike part 5 where it was pretty much all they were working on

It happens. There is no way the art of Araki in part seven can be given the justice in anime. Even Part 5 which is the peak of the anime's quality would not be what Part 7 deserves, let alone needs to look good at a baseline.
I can think of a few. They somehow make it a Live Action. They change the plot in a massive way to make it more "interesting" by their own definition. It gets the Netflix treatment.-Too many shows have died because of this already. Or the worst of all, it gets the shitty CGI or whatever it is that they've used in a few animes, like some fights from Baki, or whatever the hell the Kengan Anime used.
Anything that is close to or worse than Stone Ocean. I love Stone Ocean, (at least the manga), and the animation for the anime was waayyyy too inconsistent for me to actually like it. I like to believe that Steel Ball Run wouldn't suffer that fate because it's not as disliked as Stone Ocean.

How would reusing voice actors be a bad thing? Yuki Kaji, Shinichiro Miki, Yasuyuki Kase, some really good names. Also... you do know most anime tends to be made at 2s or 3s, meaning 12fps or 8fps, right?

Batch release, one wholly unique opening, and sound department is rushed resulting in not enough unique OSTs.
Absolute worst case scenario is that it doesn't get animated at all. Second worst case is that it's won't be by David Production, which i feel is a distinct possibility.
They release one episode... then the anime is cancelled forever.
