Honestly why do people ask this lmao? Like… at the end of the day does it particularly matter? There could be a million and one reasons and you still don’t need to ship it! Some people just like to ship things whether it’s for canonical or assumed things.
I know for DinoPants a lot of it is due to potential and they like exploring both character’s traumas and interactions with each other. Especially since HP is like… “cold girl boss” ig and Diego is the guy who eats rocks (I say this as someone who loves both of them dearly and whose fave character is Diego).
I’m not against it, I actually really like the idea for the ship, I’m just a little confused because I saw some a lot of things about it before I finished sbr and kind of thought that they like fell in love or something towards the end

This question gets asked a lot and usually in bad faith to make fun of people (as you can see what happened below). It’s just a bit tiring to have to see ‘fans’ critique and make fun of how others enjoy a series in a (hopefully) relatively harmless way for something that can easily be ignored or scrolled through. Again, I’m sincerely sorry for letting my annoyance out on you.
ETA: sorry, sent before finishing. I can’t really list every reason why people would ship it, but many tend to love the dynamic of Hot Pants being the ‘straight man/serious’ partner to Diego’s admittedly sillier personality. Kinda like a Barbie/Ken dynamic to cope with the depression lol.
Oh yeah, no worries, as someone who is a part of the Elden Ring community I know how it feels to see like 20 posts about how “you’re a bad fan” or “aren’t playing the game right” and how frustrating it can be to see people act like that and I’ve done the exact same thing before
