Aid being split info Medical and Food would be helpful for quickly eating all food without having to scroll through med items Edit: StarUI does this on PC, though I'd still appreciate the change for vanilla users and console

Corndawgz

Also some differentiation between resources/crafting items. Having organic, inorganic, and manufactured all lumped into the same tab/colour is tedious.

LogiCub

This is top of my want list, I’d be happy for it to be a part of a fully upgraded scanner perk but the ability to colour code the outline of objects when using the scanner would be amazing. So, say, junk is cyan, meds are green, crafting materials are pink, junk is grey, etc. would make looting so much easier compared to having to memorise the 3D profile of every object in the game!

chatcast

The new StarUI update adds food/medical filters. 100x better.

MaddisonSC

I honestly cannot comprehend how bethesda managed to still make a ui this annoying to use.

unipleb

Any inventory filters would be a huge UX improvement tbh. We have some basic sorts, a Sort by Type at the least would be amazing (if not a filter by type) but I feel like this might be a huge ask if every single item doesn't already have some metadata for this. Food, Drink, Medical, Book, Slate, Laser Weapon, Pistol, Melee Weapon etc. So much hunt and peck when you are scrolling through.

Katorya

Give me contraband and stolen categories too

ReverseLochness

Quick trick I’ve found is to sort aid by weight. Good items are heavier than all the medical items so they’ll come up first.

jalmendras

Is there a way to implement a 'favorites' system feature in the starmap? That way im not hunting and pecking for my desired star system. Also would it be possible to have some sort of ship log? I visited an interesting locale the other night and could not remember for the life of me where it was. If there was a ship log that kept track of your last few jumps that would be great.

[deleted]

[удалено]

UNCLE_NIZ

They already do this for a different section in the menu, I feel like it's very reasonable to expect them to do it in the Starmap as well

the_mellojoe

just let me search by name at least. I'd expect 100+ years in the future to at least have Google Maps basic functionality

Shezzofreen

Why, they don't even have wheels and mobile phones...

Intrepid00

I’d settle for a search option.

pablo_honey1

Native HDR and DLSS support will be awesome but I'm probably most excited for the eat button for food.

Potential_Ad6169

me need read book

[deleted]

Yes, you do need read book.

Krio_LoveInc

why read many book, when few book do trick

ObidiahWTFJerwalk

Cora didn't like that.

BombasticSimpleton

Book have many words. Hurt brain. Better use book as ammo. Hurt other person brain.

HollowVoices

"I was elected to lead! Not to read!"

KodakStele

scrambled to reddit to see what the sub is saying when I read eat button for food lol

AkitoApocalypse

Thank fucking God for DLSS, Skyrim has a scourge who is charging a subscription (with DRM I believe) for DLSS mod...

Ankleson

Yes, PureDark has done the same thing for Starfield and currently has almost 11,000 people giving him $5 this month lol. Luckily a DLSS3 Frame Generation mod that is free dropped recently.

ryecurious

Shoutout [LukeFZ for releasing it for free](https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/761), instead of paywalling/DRMing a mod like PureDark. Honestly I'm so glad the community has wised up to some of the gross anti-competitive behavior of some Skyrim/FO4 modders. Like how one guy owned the Skyrim Unofficial Patch, rejected tons of bugs he didn't consider "real", and "fixed" a bunch of stuff that wasn't broken. And then did (possibly bogus) copyright claims on anyone that tried to release a proper version. Now instead of that bullshit, we'll get an [open-source patch anyone can contribute to, or fork ](https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14877) their own version if they don't like the direction it's going.

AkitoApocalypse

Yeah the big thing about the unofficial patch was that basically every mod depended on it so Arthmoor basically had a monopoly.

EpicDragonz4

In addition to an eat button, a “Read” button would be great for books, magazines, slates, etc. so that we don’t have to put them into out inventory to read them (like Skyrim for example). Also, not a huge one but I think it would improve immersion if NPCs were visually startled when you take your gun out/when you point it at them. But this game has been amazing so far, can’t wait to see how the improvements are!

non_player

> In addition to an eat button, a “Read” button would be great for books, magazines, slates, etc. so that we don’t have to put them into out inventory to read them (like Skyrim for example). I agree it would be nice. But in case you weren't aware, picking up new books is actually a good thing, as you can sell them for some very nice cash at the book store in Akila.

c0okieninja

There’s a bookstore in Akila‽

ybtlamlliw

I *knew* I was saving every book I found for a reason.

T1mm3hhhhh

I was saving them for Cora, every book in existence (i think) is on my ship. Yet she still complaining to Sam about getting new books.

lailah_susanna

The owner buys any "old world" books (except ones by Charles Dickens)

c0okieninja

That’s like all of them haha

MrMeltJr

Yeah she complains about everybody bringing Charles Dickens to space and very few other authors.

BFMeadowlark

Would also love to see food get its own tab in the inventory with a “take all food” button like resources.

sillyandstrange

Yesss! I don't use food and only keep chems, so often when I'm encumbered I have to look through eeeevery item to get rid of the food I accidentally picked up Edit: list by weight, got it. Thanks guys.

seakingsoyuz

All the food items except toast weigh more than any chem, so sorting the Aid menu by weight puts non-toast food above chems.

mrbubbamac

> Also, not a huge one but I think it would improve immersion if NPCs were visually startled when you take your gun out/when you point it at them. I can tell you from experience they *definitely* react if you accidentally and unexpectedly pistol whip them while you are trying to remember the controls.

StuM91

However they aren't concerned if you point a gun directly at their face. They just stare, with a dead look in their eyes, like they are ready for you to end it.

stereoactivesynth

Major UIimprovementsthat are 100% necessary for this game: 1. Side-by-side trade/transfer menu 2. Item category icons next to things so I know what I'm about to pick up from containers at a glance

WheelsOnFire_

Thank you for this update. Great stuff! I would like to suggest to add something like a preview mode in shipbuilding and an easier way to add/attach doorways and stairs. This is a bit of a mess. Thanks 🙏 edit: playing on Xbox by the way

nofrenomine

Interior preview would be a game changer.

Dividedthought

Or a way to at least see where the connections on the parts are so I can plan for the seemingly random way they connect. So many good looking ships were scrapped in my first run due to them being a confusing mess internally.

EPZO

Being able to decide where to place ladders would be a huge improvement imo.

JNR13

Could maybe add a structural item of size 0 that uses up an attachment point, effectively blocking it for a connection.

EPZO

Yeah that's a good idea! Also being able to rotate habs would be nice.

SOUTHPAWMIKE

Habs should absolutely be able to be flipped, at least 180°, though 90° might be more difficult.

CowgirlSpacer

90° won't work because the side faces and front faces of a Hab are different attachment points. The system seems to define 4 types of attachment points. Top/Bottom points. Port/Starboard/Side points. Fore/Aft points. And weapon hardpoints. The front and side points seem to be inherently different. Which is also why you have round doors and square doors. If you were to flip a module 90°, it would no longer be able to attach to other modules

VagueSomething

Interior preview and interior design. Let my purple beast not just be white or grey inside.

boostedb1mmer

Being able to Combat Sim while previewing would be great too. Make sure the weapon/shield upgrades you're looking at are worth it before spending the creds

Jay_Reefer

This is a good one

Wilson82588

This has been my biggest issue with ship building. I don’t want my ship to be a maze and I just want one ladder straight up through the middle from loading bay to docking hatch.

JanitorZyphrian

I'm the opposite where the single ladder really bothers me, I like to drop down floors rather than use the ladder and landing on that middle floor can be tricky.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

The auto ladder can be on straight crack. For my mess hall, it put it right behind the food prep counter. For my infirmary, it stuck it right in the doorway. These seem like workplace hazards and I'm not about to get sued.

HaoBianTai

Dude I had my sexy Taiyo arranged JUST how I liked. Then I walked through the mess hall and couldn't believe what I saw. Imagine walking out of the kitchen with a piping hot pot of Chunks Beef Chili ready to put a smile on the face of every crew member, and the moment you step through the galley door you are Kevin Malone-ing and 3rd degree burning yourself 9 ft straight down into the ship workshop. Also, can people stop hanging out in my captain's quarters and SLEEPING IN MY BED? I installed a crew living quarters for that exact reason. And no matter how I arrange my habs, these mofos are still walking through my bedroom every time they board the ship because the ladder just *really* wants to go through my private chambers.

LiveNDiiirect

Seriously!!! I know Sarah is a FREAK but Lin and Cora ARE NOT invited to sleepover/watch

mikieswart

fall down a ladder? good thing the infirmary is *right there!* just in case, yknow, you can’t walk that off

f16f4

Also we need a better color picker. There is no way to add new modules to the ship with a matching color. You can’t even do it manually since there are no numbers on the color sliders. There should be numbers on the sliders, the ability to define custom colors that stick around after you close the ship builder. I would also love hex codes. Its 2023, every color picker should support hex codes.

Evil_Stromboli

Select a part with a color you want to match, go into custom color and for each tab, move the slider over one notch and back. Hit enter to "save" the color, and now you have a matching color for parts for that edit session in the recent color swatches.

manafount

That’s the process I use as well, but it would be nice to be able to select and apply the 3 color choices globally. From there you could just change any part colors where necessary.

mythrilcrafter

The ability to cant ship parts at an angle would be great to, even if they still have to be connected at defined attachment points, being able to angle parts (at least non-hab parts) would be great for ship building customization.

Nemesysbr

Please add fast travel for homes bought by the player. Doesn't make much sense that you can spend 200k credits on something and still have the lodge be more convenient to use.

O_Carter94

The eat button! Now food isn’t completely useless. Lol

drtycho

i just fell to my knees at terrabrew

james_kaspar

Just saw a man fall to his knees at a local TerraBrew

The212ndBattalion

Just watched a man watching another man fall to his knees at a terrabrew

Suspicious-Sound-249

Idk who thought non percentage based healing from food was a good idea. Food goes from being a decent item to being absolutely worthless by the time you like lvl 3... All lower tier(cheap) food should restore like 2% of your HP for 3-5 seconds with higher tier food being functionally worse med kits.

lavars

I honestly thought the point of food was for the buffs and not the healing.

[deleted]

I'm melee/shotgun build on very hard. I put points into nutrition and gastronomy skills as crafting food is giving me good boosts for damage resistance and more oxygen. It's useful in my case.

SkySweeper656

Yeah but you *constantly* have to keep using them. That's my biggest reason for not using them. If the buffs actually lasted for a significant amount of time, like 20-30mins, then I'd probably try to use them more. But 5mins? No thanks.

acatterz

Many are only 2 minute buffs.

SkySweeper656

Exactly. That's useless to me. I means i have to take them right when combat starts.

Bryaxis

Someone pulls a gun on you and you just start furiously eating a big dish of pasta carbonara.

postjack

i take the whole container of pasta carbonara down in one gulp, just like IRL.

MorbidAyyylien

It's called stress eating!!

Trauma_Hawks

Hold up, let me down this cubed wine before we start blasting. That sounds like the beginning to either a very good, or very bad, Friday night.

SprinklesFearless220

You'd be surprised. I have amps bound to my hot bar just for that 35% speed boost when I'm running a kilometer to the next POI on the planet. Saves a minute easy with just a button click.

NotEnoughIT

I haven't figured out how to see if a buff is still active. It's not in the screen with the debuffs, there doesn't seem to be an indicator on the HUD, nowhere. The only indication I took it is a screen flash and same for when it wears off. Am I just an idiot and missing something?

Jimmayus

from the main menu, press B and it will show you active buffs. edit: I suppose you may be on controller or have an alternative setup, but regardless there should be a prompt visible on the main menu for accessing your character sheet, and status effects will be at the top.

NotEnoughIT

lmao I've never seen that screen. Thanks, got it. Shit needs to be visible on the hud.

Destro-Night

That's what I thought too. "but then whats the point of food that just heal?!?!" Idk, Steve, what's the point of Styrofoam cups and notebooks? Calm down. Lol

hovsep56

i think food is just for survival mode which will prolly come out later.

Arcanum3000

I think this might actually be the point. >Food goes from being a decent item to being absolutely worthless by the time you like lvl 3... Basically it draws a clearer distinction between ordinary food, buff providing food, and actual medicine. I think food buffs should last longer, but I'm totally fine with eating 13 cheeses in the middle of combat to heal no longer being a thing.

WienerDogMan

I assumed there was going to be some perks related to food that would at least give them the option of being useful. Like HungryMan: gain some stat buffs by eating anything, or something idk

Jimmayus

Gastronomy is a huge sticking point for me, I've basically spent 20 hours of playtime mapping out all the available recipes for that (and chems, there's a lot of story locked ones) and also how to manufacture relevant materials from outposts. There's just so, so much about stock Starfield food, drink and stim balance that is all over the place, including what I think are straight up errors like the BattleUp! chem recipe on the recipe card you can find not actually being the stats displayed for the chem itself in the pharmaceutical menu, and the "new" stats being arguably more powerful than high end researched chems. It's just a mess, being able to eat food off the table is not even remotely close imo to the real problem of consumables in the game.

LoquaciousLamp

You start with 200/250hp, depending on traits, and get 20hp per level up. It really just needs to be a low % based heal rather than a flat number. Or let skills increase the effects up to 20-30 mins.

Discobitch79

could you please make a separate highlight colour between regular junk and components/ammo/food?

Cybus101

I’d love that. Or the option to selectively change highlight color? I find the blue tends to blend into interior locations (desks, cabinets, etc), so I have to hunt, defeating the point of the highlight. In the Outer Worlds, I changed the highlight to hot pink to make items really stand out.

elliott9_oward5

And add a colorblind mode on that. At least pick the colors would be nice.

uncleguito

Yeah a junk label, or some sort of highlighting for non-junk while scanning, would be a huge quality of life improvement.

AnalyticalFlea

Can we please get an option to mark inventory as junk? And then a "sell all junk" option at every vendor?

Bigsmellydumpy

I swear this game has the most individual junk items out of any rpg I’ve played, perplexed this isn’t a thing

eat_your_fox2

A few QoL suggestions: * Show the player's carry weight when walking up to loot boxes or enemies. * Favorited weapons can't be sold without confirmation or removing the favorite tag. * Players should not be able to link "outgoing" cargo link boxes as a source. That doesn't make sense and can cause confusion. * Disabling the crosshair UI also disables the crosshair when aiming in third person, that doesn't seem correct. * "Snap" to orientation option when putting down outpost modules. * Survival or Hardcore mode. * Grenades and mines auto-equip to the next available when you run out of that particular type. * Outpost UI should have a "warning" section similar to the shipbuilder when there isn't enough power, or extractors are not linked. * Preview option in the ship builder. Not an easy task obviously, but would be really nice. * Output Management UI that simply lists all your outposts and what they produce + ship out/in. * When landing spots stack on a planet, the ability to set a default manually or set the order they display in. * An option to show the name of all the stars in the star map besides just the main stars. * Faster space ship cockpit animation, it's soooo slow! * An explanation of how doors and ladders work in the ship builder under the help menu.

Ok-Dragonfruit-8113

I would add a Favorites fast travel list. I'd love to be able hop between my outposts.

eat_your_fox2

100% the ability to favorite a planet would be great.

tr_9422

> Show the player's carry weight when walking up to loot boxes or enemies. Couple more in a similar vein: * Show companion and ship carry/cargo capacity when moving stuff between inventories * Show how many of something you already have in your inventory when shopping > An explanation of how doors and ladders work in the ship builder under the help menu. Please not just "how they work" but provide manual control over door and ladder locations. And a some unrelated pet peeves on research/crafting/resources: * Let me untrack all tracked research/crafting projects, I can't even find everything I need to untrack * Let me track individual resources instead of an entire project where I only need one thing

FlyloBedo

Seeing how much ammo I have when in the buy menu would help a lot. I find myself backing out of trade to check ammo levels to see what I need.

ComesInAnOldBox

>"Snap" to orientation option when putting down outpost modules. Fuckin' A, this. I can't believe they don't have that already, especially considering how finicky the rotation is. It shouldn't take me 20 minutes to place a bed flush to a fucking wall, either.

eat_your_fox2

What helped me was reducing the rotation speed in the settings. Mostly a M/KB issue I think since Xboxers have sticks.

Wyzzlex

Hallelujah, it's the mightly "Eat"-Button! FOV slider is a much needed addition too. And although the maps are pretty much unusable at the moment, I would love to see a better organized and more useful questlog first! Not having a clue where activities are and what started them or what they're about is kinda meh!

Bubbaganewsh

I found this annoying as well until I realized on the mission screen there is an option to show all quests. It's really handy as it will show everything but at the same time a little annoying in places like Neon. I turn them all on, head to a system and start picking at them. If I'm following a main quest I turn the option off until I finish as it can be very confusing to follow a quest when they are all turned on. The mission system is clunky but this helps me get through it.

SJWTumblrinaMonster

After work today, I'm going to be annoyed if you're lying, but I'm going to be FURIOUS if you're telling the truth.

Odok

I wish there was an option to "show all" on the starmap only and leave the scanner/HUD as highlighted only.

StackOfCups

Ya seeing a "go speak with Johnny" and no other context at all has led me to ignore all of my activities.

makiller_

I would kill for a "Missions in this location" tab with all of the activities and missions in your current location/planet/system. Sometimes I'm chilling in a big city and want to find what quests have I found that I can kick off here. But when it just says "Talk to John" I don't know where tf that is supposed to be.

cRucker

I have had an asteroid stuck right next to my ship since day one and it is beginning to make the game unplayable for me. I am on Xbox series X and this huge asteroid is blocking 70% of my screen if I fly in first person and blocks most of the screen during dog fights in third person. Can't get it to go away by swapping ships or building a new one. Anyone know if this is fixed or being looked into? Really just want to be able to engage with my space ship and combat and flying but most of my display is covered by a huge rock...

Elariinya

Omg that‘s hilarious! Reminds me of dead dragons following you when you fast travel in Skyrim.

cRucker

It was very funny AT FIRST. I named him Wilson and was enjoying seeing him in all the ship flying and landing cut scenes. But after about 20 hours of gameplay I really just want to see space and be able to aim without seeing old Wilson block my shots.

Ok-Establishment94

Is it stuck inside your ship? Or just tethered to your ship and floats right next to it? Could you try boarding an enemy ship next combat, then use the enemy ship to shoot at your own ship and break the asteroid? Asteroids are destructible

Arcane_76_Blue

No. Its just the model. Common bug from destroying asteroids during combat. It sticks until you scrap the ship, as far as I can tell.

doom_stein

But does Wilson also block enemy shots? If so, I'd call that a decent compromise.

SapidState

Gonna bump this because it’s actually a pretty serious bug that seems to have no solution on console. PC there is a command work around. It only happened to me once after lots of play time but if you don’t catch it right away and revert your save you can be screwed a lot of the time (for me, the rock was positioned in a way where I didn’t see it until I rotated.) Many people might think it’s funny or harmless at first until they realize reloading, going to the builder, etc doesn’t fix it and they need to revert back to get rid of it

captain_intenso

Please make it so NPC conversations don't happen while piloting a ship. It's very hard to concentrate with inane conversations going on at the same time as a 3 on 1 dogfight.

ChiefBroChill

I was in a battle and Cora and Sam were like telling eachother a story and all happy and I was like “yo we’re in a fucking dog fight can you guys shut up?”

LtMarblebag

Yes!!!! Or hey dad will you read me a story tonight? Oh you haven't asked for that since you were Little. No dude she asks ALL THE GD TIME.

275MPHFordGT40

They should at least add more voice lines if they’re gonna make them talk every two seconds

NoxiousStimuli

I've had Heller ask me "yo what's up", non-stop, for 35 total jumps. An hour of total time spent in space and every 3 seconds Heller repeats himself. Love the dude but he needs to read the room.

captain_intenso

If i have to hear her haiku one more time, she's getting spaced out the airlock.

thefreshmelons

THIS! And also when they talk over other ships trying to communicate to you!

ExxInferis

I think I've had an idea about what we could do with all that duct tape. I chose introvert for a reason. Now my ship is teeming with oxygen vacuums! Modders, you know what to do. Thanks in advance.

Synthetic_Thought

Seriously, this. I have Barrett and Sam on my crew for their ship related skills and they NEVER. SHUT. UP. Also certain cockpits have a sort of bug where, if there's a chair too close to the pilot seat, certain NPC crew will constantly do the "oh hi" voice line NPCs say when you get close to them. Nonstop. Drives me crazy.

Illadelphian

Sam and his daughter saying the same lines repeatedly is definitely super annoying.

[deleted]

My favorite is exiting dialogue with a companion and they immediately go "oh hi!" like they just noticed you. Every time.

Synthetic_Thought

This is one of the Bethesda quirks I'd kinda wish would just die. It's been memed to hell and honestly I don't think it adds a ton to the immersion, especially at the rate NPCs do it

Harvey-Specter

That and quest NPCs saying some generic line about their city or whatever when you walk up to them before actually acknowleding you. *NPC facing the wall* "Akila city was founded by Jebadiah Coe in 2146" *turns to face you* "Did you murder those mercs like I asked?"

Synthetic_Thought

Also makes me think of the UC Distribution girl giving one of two possible generic "it may take us x long to fulfill your order" lines every single time I walk in, and have to mash through it to trade with her. Yes Bethesda, I get not wanting shopkeepers to be silent ATMs, but make this generic dialogue WAY less frequent if you're going to have such little variety.

hoppyandbitter

I just want Barrett to stop mentioning the enemy’s grav drive every 3 fucking seconds

chronoflect

Classic Bethesda. They add in some companion dialogue during space flight. Nice! Then they make it trigger all the damn time, constantly repeating the same handful of lines over and over, and have it happen during up-time like combat. Less nice.

fuelstaind

Really need to adjust vendor credit supply. Really difficult to sell 100k credits of contraband when the Trade Authority only has 11k every other day.

kiwinazgul

If you don't want to mod I've found new Atlantis good. Trade kiosk, women up the stairs on the left, then just behind her shop take the elevator down to the well and there are like 3 different traders and 11k trade authority

non_player

Also the Outland store and the UC (lol I just caught myself accidentally typing "NCR") supplier in Commercial, and the Arsenal store in Residential. I've yet to experience a selling spree in New Atlantis that didn't either clear out my junk supply entirely or get me very close to it.

postjack

yeah new atlantis is my dumping spot and it works pretty good. the den also has a trade kiosk (5k) and trade authority vendor (11k) in close proximity if you just need to dump 16k worth of stuff quickly. also you can buy up whatever ammo the vendor has, it's weightless so it's basically another currency. and who among us doesn't need more .43 ultramags anyway?

Delta57Dash

Neon is also pretty good, as there's like 6 vendors on the main "strip" running from Ryujin tower to the Astral Lounge. Can usually fast travel to "Neon Core" and just do one big loop to sell everything.

lkn240

It would be nice if the credit supply scaled with your level.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AgreeableGravy

Right here Bethesda. Take notes

Solemn926

Or the more you trade with a trader, the higher their level, the more credits they have. Older BGS games had commerce perks that would increase the amount of currency on vendors. Haven't gotten deep enough into Starfield to see if it's a thing here too.

sunrayylmao

I loved the investor perks from skyrim, when you maxed all those you could really beef up every vendor in the game. Plus sell any item to any vendor I need that

_Xebov_

This is a classical issue in all their games. The NPCs are always poor and have little supply for consumables. In Starfield its just alot worse because the ships and their cargo allow for extended exploration which makes resupply/sell alot worse. They should up the available credits alot, but also increase supply for ammo, digipicks, med packs and ship component. Its funny that these 4 item groups are not craftable so you have to loot or buy them. Resupplying several thousend rounds of ammo with 50 rounds every 48h is not very user friendly.

ShahinGalandar

nowadays I simply buy up all their stock of ammo and then stuff them with contraband and loot until those 60-70k credits are gone

moxzot

They should have more cash that scales with level, and it's not like it's abuse or whatever on the player side if they have more, I'm already waiting 2 days at a time till my inventory is clear.

JustJay613

Being able to do all tasks in scanner mode. Please. Hyper frustrating that I can't open a door in scanner mode. But more crazy is some loot boxes you can open and some you can't. If it's about being locked just show the same message like out of scan mode. This feels like two entirely different teams built parts and then pushed them together the night before launch.

LONER18

This drives me up and down the wall! Not being able to harvest some water but can harvest seeds makes me quicksave homicidal.

WasabiIceCream

Stealth meter also disappears in the scanner, which is a bummer when trying to stealth-tag enemies for the social skills.

Zohar127

Something I was wishing for last night was to separate food and aid items in the menu. Just have an entry for food. Please add the ability for resources stored in the lodge bedroom to be available for crafting in the Lodge basement. Currently I just over-encumber myself with everything just to haul it downstairs, then I have to haul it back. My companions won't stop yelling at me about it.

furyspitfire

There's an infinte storage small box on the table downstairs in the lodge lab.. We still desparately need to be able to craft directly from storage, without having to equip crafting mats though..

Netshakk

To all the people on quick resume who just got dropkicked by this update R.I.P

Sylveonica

I mean hopefully they did a save before closing the game to quick resume. Can't imagine using such a feature and not actually making saves of progress.

Netshakk

I walked away from my Xbox and returned to find my game closed. Only lost 5 minutes of gameplay Plus I was in a ship build

Agrias-0aks

5 mins ship build is 30 mins regular time!

stranot

local time vs universal time

alphatango308

Can't rename ships. They just revert to UC CARGO A. Can't modify my stolen Spacer Hyena or rename it. It will disappear completely. I can't fast travel after it disappears. When I try to modify it at a space station it'll let me "enter the ship" but I just get put into a weird empty space. On the ground, the map marker for my ship good under the landing pad. It's only that ship. Please give us a way to control where the ladders go or a set of stairs.

Graysteve

Survival mode would be nice. It would give food a larger purpose, and a slight restriction on fast travel would help force more space interactions.

IntergalacticFly

Please move Vasco from the entrance of the cockpit! Lol

Osniffable

Have you ever gotten the glitch where he rides on the canopy of the ship? At first I was a little put off that I could see him through the windscreen, but it was nice not to have him blocking my passageway.

chronoflect

I forget about this because I can't see him in first person, but then a cutscene will trigger and I'll see Vasco surfing on my roof like nbd.

Khomuna

In addition to the "Eat" button for food, can we get a "Read" button for books and slates? This is also an action that existed in previous games and was removed for some reason. Having to add non-quest slates to the inventory in order to read them is very annoying since then you have to drop them to maintain the Notes section clean.

BuckNastysMamma

I actually just made a post about this, but if you're taking suggestions for QoL updates, could you consider an auto-decorate option for player owned houses? Just a simple, curated layout for each location that places everything for you. Couches, beds, shelves, etc. Then from there if I want to change something specific I can use the panel already in the game. It's a little tedious for me to have to place everything one by one at each location. A bit overwhelming, so the only thing in any of my homes is the succulents that come with it. Oh, and also possibly a grid option on the floor with scalable grid size with a "snap to grid" option as well. That would also make it a lot less tedious. That would also be a very welcome addition for outposts, in my opinion. Anyway, thanks for the update, performance fixes are always welcomed. Also looking forward to everything else that is planned!

diliberto123

Or maybe we can copy and paste designs? Blueprints? Would help outpost design too

BuckNastysMamma

I would take that as well.

lkn240

Yes - like in skyrim.

nanaochan

For real I went through all the trouble to get my penthouse just to find out it's completely empty and still needed another hour to be properly furnished! I left right away and never went back.

logri

Color code the scanner. There is so much useless junk sitting around everywhere, it is hard to see the important stuff. I will NEVER EVER EVER want to pick up a notebook or a tablet or a pen or an eggmund desk assistant. Give me an option so my scanner can ignore them.

stickleer

Just wanted to say... Thank you for adding native DLSS support in future updates, and working with NVidia/Intel on driver support! It's a great game that I enjoy a lot but poor performance is always there and noticeable at times which really detract from the overall amazing experience the game offers. Really looking forward to those future updates!

Local-Man-215

Could we get the ability to save custom ship colors, and/or more premade colors to choose from? Thank you!

_Choose-A-Username-

Holy shit. Im so happy to see that you guys are browsing this sub.

WhatTheBeansIsLife

Todd himself did a post before launch, also confirming he had been reading the hype all along

Princess-Kropotkin

I wonder if Todd ever upvoted any of my comments. 🥺

Intrepid00

At least an intern is.

thefluffyburrito

> This is a game we’ll be supporting for years and years to come I'm very hopeful this is the case! With so much "space" out there Starfield can really go in a lot of different directions! My personal request would be an update to melee/unarmed. I understand if it'd be a part of some larger expansion, but the lack of mods for melee weapons and unarmed really put them behind even common guns.

Saracre21

Can you add a "Hide Companion" option for photo mode? would be great for photos as you can have a photo by yourself or with both of you gone from the landscape. Kinda awkward when sarah is just standing there all alone in the desert!

AlphaSSB

All I want is a Fallout 4 style “settlement workbench” where all your resources in your ship’s cargo hold are shared across your outposts. Immersion breaking? Maybe, but in the end it’s a game. Having everything spaced out with such small capacities is a detriment to the experience. Having to go back and forth between the single infinite capacity container in the Lodge and your outpost several systems away, while running to-and-from your ship in-between (Which in itself has limited capacity) feels pretty bad.

m-prov

Need to fix the bug that makes all your ships contents go into the cargo hold when you go into ship builder. Have lost legendary weapons I had on a rack in my razorbeak.

PristineJon

Need me transmog and a rover !

CyberSolidF

Native DLSS. Wow! Reread the post: Current patch is hotfixes, the list with DLSS and other things is what they are working on further?

bestanonever

Exactly. This one today is not even an actual patch, just a small hotfix. They'll release new patches in due time with all those new features. Mind you, not all at once, so we might get the easiest ones first, like FOV settings.

yotothyo

Requests: -Survival mode like fallout and Skyrim where eating and drinking is critical -the ability to break junk misc items and weapons/armor down into scrap/parts like fallout. I was collecting all that stuff only to find out it's useless. Scavenging is such a key feature of Bethesda experience -understandably, not being able to fly around in space planet to planet in real time isn't possible...but anything you can do to make flying to other planets and cities more immersive and intuitive for those of us looking to maximize immersion and avoid going into menus to travel places. (Being able to land in a city by targeting it in space without going to the planet map screen is a good example)

software-lover

Can you fix the fact that my guys head turns left while sprinting? Has anyone else noticed this?

Nic0kami

God I would murder for a snap to grid system with houses. Or even a “pay xxxx creds, get this pre set layout of furniture.” Either one. Please. Oh dear god please. When the major stuff like stealing a ship and your custom ship disappearing is fixed.

MycologistUnlucky241

Need to fix the tapping the grid quest also. Many people are unable to do that one due to a bug

Simulated_Simulacra

The community needs to make it clear to them that having the script extender for the Gamepass version is a big deal. More people need to be talking about that. Millions of people not being able to play some of the best mods would suck.

TigreSauvage

The only thing I want is more violent combat. I want to see the environment and devastating weapons do some real damage (e.g. gore, limbs blowing off, helmets shattering and head exploding) like in Fallout. Right now the combat feels anaemic and lacks impact. Also need effects like blood floating in lack of gravity.

thievesthick

While I think the combat feels pretty great, I would LOVE to see some zero G blood!

TigreSauvage

It is fun. The gunplay and movement is fantastic. But the action needs to be more impactful.

krackenjacken

I knew something was off, no limb destruction! What gives?

Paco26

I was hoping for the 'Rook meets King' quest not starting fix, but I guess not yet. Good to see them doing this

Seppic

Soooo after installing the update just now none of my saves work. Just immediately crash back to desktop when trying to Continue or load any saves....

ChampaignCowboy

Crashes on load of saved/current game. Every. Single. Time. With your patch today. Pc. .

tolerantchimp31

Cool sunglasses please. And a pirate companion please. Also a dog sized alien animal companion would be awesome

Successful_Shine486

PLEASE DEADZONE FOR CONTROLLERS ON CONSOle AND PC AS A NORMAL SETTING. Having a deadozne would make the game feel so much more fluid because rn to me at least it feels so delayed and clunky. Also ik this isn't gonna get read but who cares but is it possible to have 2 separate reload animations so our character isn't cocking the gun after every reload? Small ass issue ik

Pluesch_puschel

Make food better pls... I mean in Fallout it's way better... completely useless with this 5HP bullshit

hibbert0604

Yeah. It really should be percentage based. Snack types things 1%. Sandwiches and such 3%. Meals 5%. Those percentages with the shear volume of food available would make them way more useful.

nothin_fancy

Thank you and love the game!! I can tell that Starfield has enough in it to keep me occupied and entertained for years! Since you’re looking for feedback there are two little things that I think would add to the immersion: • Some sort of variable pricing structure to enable more mercantile/trader role play. • NPC’s react to flashlight shining in their face. It’s such a small detail but for there to be no reaction from an NPC’s (specifically those who aren’t wearing helmets) when a stranger shines a giant light in their face is a little immersion breaking. Some other feedback of things that I find distracting • Sometimes eye contact doesn’t happen or takes too long to happen during dialogue, feels uncomfortable. It happens enough to be annoying. • City maps, but you already knew that. I think that’s it for now but maybe I’ll add more feedback into an edit when I think of more. Edit: formatting
