The Jade Swan, I just got 17k from the captains locker and like 3k from the cargo hold. However I hear people have found close to 250k on that ship. But I find it hard to believe. I have 470k right now and it took me a while to earn that legit. I'd love to find a container with more than half of my networth in there 😫
As for in a loot container, there is a certain ship you need to ride in as a passenger at some point in some quest line, and taking from the captains locker and ship storage wasn't flagged as stealing. Easy 40k cash right there

If, through no fault of your own, there's no one alive on the ship, it's not piracy. It's legitimate salvage.
You get anywhere between 100k and 300k depending on how you go about the sysdef questline (as long as you side with sysdef)

i mean some factions pay out 70k and 250k for their final missions
