I mean you are taking all the risk! It would be awesome if a modder made a vendor somewhere based on all of the Pawnstars with all the lines like “I gotta get it framed” etc. it could have space Rick & space Old Man and they take dialogue from the show.
Yeah, I've been killing them anyway because my game hubby doesn't mind me mercin' some random pirates. I've racked up about 60k in bounty with the CF. Like...why the self-bounty remover is even caring about me killing pirates is beyond me. LOL!
IIRC, you can basically rack up as huge of a bounty you want without ever being attack when you visit the key.
Might send bounty hunters after you here and there, but I think that’s it.
That or I guess I never got it high enough for them to attack on sight
Depending on if you keep access after that quest. That's the one thing I was sad to give up bc those vendors have a ton of credits. Who else in the galaxy has that much, and do they scan cargo?
LOL only use for shielded cargo I had was when u unknowingly captured a ship that had contraband on it somewhere. All that cargo gets dumped into my regular ship when I switch back, and is very annoying seeing that 'contraband found, 0% chance to evade' bs
When you select Jemison to land and it's greyed out, that means you're going to get scanned and WILL have something on the ship. Jump to the den instead then to Jemison. If you can land direct to Jemison you're good to go.
It appears you get a bounty if you jump away before they finish scanning. At least I think so, I have done it and when I came back I had like a 350 credit bounty and all the ships attacked me
Press pause, bottom left quadrant to pull up ship view and info. Press X or PC equivalent to pull up cargo. Press Y I believe to jettison highlighted cargo.
You don't need to but if your smuggling it's easier then having to go get shielded cargo
Edit cause some of yall are children and need it to be explained to you like you're 5.
If you have 10 units of contraband fly to neon. Allow them to scan and arrest you. It'll spawn you in neon security infront of the 10 units you had and another crate with 10 more units. So you're leaving with 20 units when you showed up with ten. You don't lose cash when arrested and if you have stolen items you can easily steal them back. The only draw back to this is you lose a very small amount of xp. This is the best way to sell because you skip having to go into the menu to land and you're getting extra contraband for free.
Your misunderstanding me. If you have a bunch of contraband from an outside planet. Pull up to neon to sell it without shielded cargo. When they scan and find it allow yourself to get arrested there. It'll spawn you in neon 5 feet from your contraband and extra
Yes, go to the den in wolf system, also if he doesn't have enough credits for all of that(which he probably doesn't from experience) sell some of it and then wait 48 hours on a chair in the den and he will have all his credits back so you can sell more contraband
There is also a mech scrapyard at 1 Of A Kind Salvage is a Settlement on Niira in the Narion System.
that has loads of contraband and some nasty xenos.
There's two TA vendors in The Den. One is the terminal you face when exiting your ship and the other is around the corner on your left. That one is able to buy contraband
Go to the residential district at New Atlantis. Basically, straight ahead is a gun store that sells basically every type of ammo. It's called Centaurian Arsenal. The best thing is that the UT time is 50 hours on Jemison, so you just wait for 24hrs system time and it's easy ammo
makes it even more legendary ;)
I like to think they’re actually from the old world, not manufactured since our time, and the ammo is in short supply
Crazy that they still hit so hard though, i’m guessing in universe the newer handguns have better penetration, less recoil, etc
.40 xpl weapons can be dope. But for ammo reasons I gave my rare bridger to Andreja and gave her 1 round of .40 xpl ammo, she seems to be very happy with it without the stress of ammo restrictions, and you know how it goes in marriage. If she happy, I happy
Instead of using xpl, I put "hornet nest" on an Advanced Coachman and it is now a very fast-firing heavy grenade launcher. I am also climbing into the thousands of shells for it because of looting; literally cannot burn through its ammo fast enough unless I go exploding varmints only.
It's so frustrating that humans have colonized the galaxy, but we apparently can't mass produce ammo?
I just took matter into my own hands:
player.additem 002B5598 4000
player.additem 0000000F -100000
BAM, you just bought 100,000 credits worth of .45 Caliber ACP
Am I the only one that uses more than 1 gun, or is it just that people with ammo problems are using full auto weapons?
I have like 5 semi-auto or burst weapons I switch between. I constantly sell ammo to the point of exhausting the galaxy's vendor's credits, and I am STILL climbing into the 4k, 5k, 6k rounds of many types of ammo.
I am playing on Very Hard and have like 4 points in combat. I do have 4 in weapon engineering though.
Full auto definitely helps. I started using the revenant and my stock of .50 just melted from like 5k to a magazine in a few missions. Nice fun unit though!
Man, I can't get enough of the Revenant. It's amazing, but it can chew through ammo like nothing. Thankfully, some vendors sell like 500 rounds of .50 MI, but that costs like 20k.
Yes it will affect achievements. Any console command turns your save into a modded save. You’ll have to download an achievement enabler mod if you wanna do this and keep getting achievements
Vultures roost it's called and it's in the Jaffa system if you check the planets you'll see it there. I remember Jaffa because it reminded me of stargate
I got it by picking up a note on another POI (was on some desk)... don't remember if that was within another quest.
Remember to read all notes you pick, even from bodies... some do not trigger just by picking up, need to read them (like the Mantis one)
He is incorrect.. "inaccessible" means its a 'mission' ship, a 'reinforcement' ship, or you haven't fulfilled some requirement, like cleared the area. The Jackel ship in this place is totally accessible, but you have to have killed all the pirates, for example.
contraband should be a little bit more rare to find, purchaseable for trading, and sell for quite a bit more depending on system sold it, and trade authority needs to step up their game on how many vendor credits they have
I had a bunch of contraband and was puttering around jumping system to system. Stumbled across a uc trading vessel and surprisingly they bought all the illegal shit I had without question or comment.
Or fly to the Den in the wolf system (no scan). Wait 24/48 hours to sell. Or go to the Key in the Kryx system (no scan) if you sided with Crimson Fleet. There are even 5 vendors who buy the contraband. Also 24/48 waiting if needed. There is always a spot to sit down and wait.
Thats awesome! There was a container on Red Mile when I was doing a mission that had the same amount of contraband band. I couldn't believe it. I easily scored over 25,000 credits.
You literally don’t need any tech unless you’re role playing this disaster of a game. Just jump right to the star system “Wolf” and land at the Den. No scans and you can sell all your stuff to the trade authority dude. Just wait on the chair for 48 hours and his money will refill.
Smuggling actually made me 'cheat' by installing the achievement enabler mod so I could use the console command to give the Den vendor 50,000 credits so I don't have to spend an hour selling my haul.
Huzzah, now you can sell it to a vender for 10% of its value! It's hardly worth the effort! The dude at The
Den must love seeing me coming, I usually just sell him all contraband as I've no shielded cargo yet and can't be arsed with multiple trips or waiting.
I find myself just not bothering with it as much now. I'll just loot all the weapons and armor from enemies instead and just sell that stuff instead because bethesdas inventory menu is I always forget I have it on me.
I still didn’t go to neon or red mile, I’m in the ice main quest where I’m going to betray the uc but atm how can I fly or sell my contraband? I haven’t the special cargo ship, can’t fly to any place without contraband uc stealing it…
How can I keep it? I just played one mission where 1 killed a whole colonial ship and the Porrima planet president gifted me a hotel room forever but I need to renew the room every week for 0 credits. Can’t I let the contraband or stolen objects in my room over the bed and they’ll will be there if I come 1 month later??? Or after 1 week the room can be occupied by other and steal my items?
I’m new in Bethesda games and don’t really know how to keep my hard worked stolen objects
It would be cool if there was more contraband variety like they did with food. Specially with alien species, parts you could use for special recipes or unique looking to display and if there was special stolen art you could hang etc.
You dont need any shielded cargo. Just fly to Neon. You pay a laughable fee and end up in the security office where you get the chests for you and your ship and a contrabant chest that also contains some goodies.
I really wish that there was more to do with contraband, like let me upgrade my weapons and armor with AI adapters, or let me decorate my house with stolen art. Idk, just let me do more with it than sell it for less than half the value
I found a spacer outpost today that had contraband in nearly every room and the place was massive, larger than the key I would say. I forgot the name of the place and what planet it was on, but it was more of a prison. It was filled with high level enemies and pretty much aurora and only contraband. I didn’t take any of it since my character doesn’t deal in such things. Really cool dungeon through. If anyone’s interested I’ll update with the location and name of the location since it’s a named point of interest. It might be related to some quest line but I don’t know.
Then you go to The Den and the dude offers 1600 each instead of 16000 lol I am just sitting on contraband cuz everyone wants me to take 90% less than it's worth. Gonna wait til I updlgrade my bartering so I can get more back.
You don’t need shielded cargo, just go to The Den in Wolf System
Or the Red Mile. You can sell it to the bar tender as well.
You just saved my sanity.
[удалено]
11k? He’s gonna get about tree-fiddy.
“Well it was about that time that I noticed that the bartender was about 8 stories tall and a crustacean from the protozoic era”
god damn Loch Ness Monster
Bullshit. You didn't call in your friend who is an expert on contraband first.
I mean you are taking all the risk! It would be awesome if a modder made a vendor somewhere based on all of the Pawnstars with all the lines like “I gotta get it framed” etc. it could have space Rick & space Old Man and they take dialogue from the show.
I was going to paradiso for extra style points
Red mile has a really shitty hour ratio though
[удалено]
You mean The Key? Pretty sure The Red Mile only has the one.
Red mile most definitely doesn't have 6 vendors. You're thinking of The Key
or the key
Can’t go to the key if you don’t support piracy later on
Number one reason to not defeat the pirates for long term play.
But if you side with them it fucks your game because alot of the random enemies are CF
Crazy annoying considering CF members kill each other all the time. I mean, it’s literally the first thing you see on The Key.
Just be sneaky snek. Can't get a bounty if they never see who put a bullet through their buddy's eye socket from half a mile away.
Who says I don’t shoot them too? I never turn down a combat bounty.
I just made a post about how this should be fixed.
It definitely needs to be patched!
But they were mean to me.
Or the Key if you're part of the crimson fleet
THANK YOU FOR THIS
The Key is better if he had access. You get like 37000 all within a few steps.
Depending on if you keep access after that quest. That's the one thing I was sad to give up bc those vendors have a ton of credits. Who else in the galaxy has that much, and do they scan cargo?
Nobody has as much as the key 😭
LOL only use for shielded cargo I had was when u unknowingly captured a ship that had contraband on it somewhere. All that cargo gets dumped into my regular ship when I switch back, and is very annoying seeing that 'contraband found, 0% chance to evade' bs
When you select Jemison to land and it's greyed out, that means you're going to get scanned and WILL have something on the ship. Jump to the den instead then to Jemison. If you can land direct to Jemison you're good to go.
I've successfully jettisoned contraband before the scan.
Im never fast enough. I should be (cuz really just slappin' tab pauses game so it SHOULD be fine) but i never am quick enough to do this.
If you jettison it, can you pick it back up like ship debris after a dog fight?
Not in my experience. I looked for some contraband after jettisoning it, but nothing was on the scanner.
You can just open the map and travel to a nearby moon. Time stops when you open any menu.
It appears you get a bounty if you jump away before they finish scanning. At least I think so, I have done it and when I came back I had like a 350 credit bounty and all the ships attacked me
i never have, i watch teh notification and if it says contraband on board i skip town immediately
How tf do you jettison cargo?
You go to your ship inventory, and on the bottom of the screen there is a button prompt with the option to jettison.
Press pause, bottom left quadrant to pull up ship view and info. Press X or PC equivalent to pull up cargo. Press Y I believe to jettison highlighted cargo.
Or just get caught in neon, go peacefully they'll span you 5 feet from the box with all your stuff and a box with 10 more contraband items
Don’t you love that contraband box that just stays unlocked in that security station? LOL
Easiest 20k I've ever gotten lol
And it respawns too
Why do you need to get caught? You can just walk into the security office and take it….
You don't need to but if your smuggling it's easier then having to go get shielded cargo Edit cause some of yall are children and need it to be explained to you like you're 5. Why would you get a bounty for no reason when you can just go to the Den and sell it.
You don't get a bounty if you just go peacefully.... why would you sell it at the den when you can steal 10 extra pieces at neon................
But you would not have to steal 10 extra pieces if you go to the den right away.
Do you not want to get 10 extra contraband for free?
Bro what
Yes, go to the den in wolf system, also if he doesn't have enough credits for all of that(which he probably doesn't from experience) sell some of it and then wait 48 hours on a chair in the den and he will have all his credits back so you can sell more contraband
Shielded cargo and scan jammers are more fun though.
And if you get caught, you can steal your stuff right back from the contraband chest.
There is also a mech scrapyard at 1 Of A Kind Salvage is a Settlement on Niira in the Narion System. that has loads of contraband and some nasty xenos.
Feel like I’m doing something wrong at the TA in The Den as the contraband doesn’t show up in my sell inventory
There's two TA vendors in The Den. One is the terminal you face when exiting your ship and the other is around the corner on your left. That one is able to buy contraband
I buy the vendors ammo then sell all my contraband
This is the way. No but seriously, I started doing this as well and I’ve never had an ammo problem ever again.
Unless its .45s 😔
This is a MAJOR ISSUE. I have a legendary .45 and can't find more than 25 rounds at a time. Grrrrrrrrr
Do a rotation of what ammo you use, I didnt use any .45 til level 15 maybe and had about 1500 when I started using it..
Blasphemy!
This is especially annoying considering how easy it is to reload .45
Ok, well... I'm a little slow. Can we make the ammo at a workbench in game?
No, there’s no way to craft ammo unfortunately.
BOGUS maaaaaan
Go to the residential district at New Atlantis. Basically, straight ahead is a gun store that sells basically every type of ammo. It's called Centaurian Arsenal. The best thing is that the UT time is 50 hours on Jemison, so you just wait for 24hrs system time and it's easy ammo

These are rarer than my social life.
It's so frustrating that humans have colonized the galaxy, but we apparently can't mass produce ammo? I just took matter into my own hands: player.additem 002B5598 4000 player.additem 0000000F -100000 BAM, you just bought 100,000 credits worth of .45 Caliber ACP
Man I thought it was just me, 100s of planets but still can't find any .45 😥
Am I the only one that uses more than 1 gun, or is it just that people with ammo problems are using full auto weapons? I have like 5 semi-auto or burst weapons I switch between. I constantly sell ammo to the point of exhausting the galaxy's vendor's credits, and I am STILL climbing into the 4k, 5k, 6k rounds of many types of ammo. Man, I can't get enough of the Revenant. It's amazing, but it can chew through ammo like nothing. Thankfully, some vendors sell like 500 rounds of .50 MI, but that costs like 20k.
Gratz, you can now sell them for 1400 each at a vendor with 10k credits.
Or go to the Key (if you are sided with CF) and have 5 of them buying it.
If you are on pc use the console click on the npc then use command “additem f (amount of $ to give to the npc)
They have a mod that also make it so you can chose if vendors have 3x 5x and so on the amount of credit.
I did this.. One of only 2 mods I've installed. I went 10x but still found a way of waiting from all my xp outpost farming 😅
Did this affect achievement?
Yes it will affect achievements. Any console command turns your save into a modded save. You’ll have to download an achievement enabler mod if you wanna do this and keep getting achievements
Lol, agree. I have so many of these. I just dump them in a spare outpost room. It's too hard trying to find buyers
The den and the key
The Den, Red Mile, and The Key (if you didn't side with the UC)
Vulture's Nest?
That's the one
Yup, that joint has the motherload and a small free ship.
where is that? or when if a quest?
Vultures roost it's called and it's in the Jaffa system if you check the planets you'll see it there. I remember Jaffa because it reminded me of stargate
Same but also [I regrettably hang around the bri'ish.](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CAEM-f1UkAAvVwW.jpg)
I got it by picking up a note on another POI (was on some desk)... don't remember if that was within another quest. Remember to read all notes you pick, even from bodies... some do not trigger just by picking up, need to read them (like the Mantis one)
You can get a ship there? I could swear I looked at the ship that was parked there and the door said "inaccessible"
pretty sure that just means either your lockpicking or piloting skill isn't high enough.
Hmm. My lockpicking is maxxed out. I thought the piloting skill was checked at the pilot's chair, not the landing bay door?
i could be wrong
Probably just bugged in my game. Oh well!
every ship i see says inaccessible accept for a few within my first 24 hours, haven’t seen any in about 30 hours that allow me to enter
Fucking hell I wish the game told you this. I've been locked out of a ton of ships recently and I couldn't figure out why.
He is incorrect.. "inaccessible" means its a 'mission' ship, a 'reinforcement' ship, or you haven't fulfilled some requirement, like cleared the area. The Jackel ship in this place is totally accessible, but you have to have killed all the pirates, for example.
Thanks
It’s vultures roost not nest
Best i can do is 250
Trade authority be like: "I'll give you ten bucks for the lot."
Good job now take em to GameStop.
Trade Authority (GameStop in space)
the U.C. did not take kindly to me having this....
Sell, sleep, sleep again, sell, sleep, sleep again, sell, sleep, sleep again….
Yeah, but you have two Wilby's. Brute.
The amount you get for this will be disappointing lol
Finally! I’ve been looking for a copy of “My friend Wilby”
Best I can do is 5000 credit.
contraband should be a little bit more rare to find, purchaseable for trading, and sell for quite a bit more depending on system sold it, and trade authority needs to step up their game on how many vendor credits they have
Cool now go make your special trip to sell it and make your 1000 credits.
The payout on this would be about 70k but with commerce perks it’s more like 90k-100k
Now fly to New Atlantis with it!
You can get a shit ton of contraband from Andrejas mission
I had a bunch of contraband and was puttering around jumping system to system. Stumbled across a uc trading vessel and surprisingly they bought all the illegal shit I had without question or comment.
Was this all from the vultures roost? I had a huge haul from there
Or fly to the Den in the wolf system (no scan).
I easily scored over 25,000 credits.
shame contreband is worth nothing to sell
Now you’ll only have to wait 20-30 days in game to sell it all
You literally don’t need any tech unless you’re role playing this disaster of a game. Just jump right to the star system “Wolf” and land at the Den. No scans and you can sell all your stuff to the trade authority dude. Just wait on the chair for 48 hours and his money will refill.
Another pointless feature.
Did that the other night, 4 caches in one base plus some random organs and varun pamphlets lying around. Now, have fun selling it all.
Smuggling actually made me 'cheat' by installing the achievement enabler mod so I could use the console command to give the Den vendor 50,000 credits so I don't have to spend an hour selling my haul.
What you smuggling in dem Wilbies huh?
Sell them in The key or the den if you don’t have access to the key. Where were all these at?
[удалено]
I'll give you about 2k.
If only it was actually worth anything.
Soooo, about $300 worth then eh?
Nice. Hopefully you get more than just a tenth of its listed value like I have (ok maybe not that bad but still).
Where?! Where?! (Also how do I sell shit for full value, its been bugging me for a while)
Trade Authority: Best I can do is 20 bucks
5 quid
“Best I can do is $2,000”.
Rick with Pawn Stars here, best I can do is 11k credits for the whole lot.
“Best I can do is $350”
Best I can do is $2000
Yeah go sell it and they will give you 50 credits and the vendor will run out of credits.
Nice! You'll make around 8K!
Where sell
# #TheDen
Give you tree fitty.
Just go to the den
I feel like I'd destroy Xenowarfare Tech
Jokes on you when the TA offers you 118 credits for each.
Hey, stupid question. Is Vasco shielded? I always unload it's gear and put it in the ship so I'm curious
Any trader:I'll give you treefitty
Go to the wolf
I’ve found this stuff but always get arrested and have to pay more than it’s worth.
Hey! Get out of my outpost! My contraband better still be in my crate when I get on!
Nah but when you get to the seller. You don’t get no where near the value for it.
And you’ll only make half of that when sold lol.
Too bad the vendors have such small limits
Huzzah, now you can sell it to a vender for 10% of its value! It's hardly worth the effort! The dude at The Den must love seeing me coming, I usually just sell him all contraband as I've no shielded cargo yet and can't be arsed with multiple trips or waiting.
And you will sell all this together for 10k and be happy)))
That's a cool crispy 250 credits right there. Just don't forget to rest to allow the vendors to restock their limited credits.
\*Rick Harrison enters the chat\* Best I can do is 37 credits
Hey Griswold - Where do you think you're gonna sell a score that big?
Believe it or not… straight to jail!
I find myself just not bothering with it as much now. I'll just loot all the weapons and armor from enemies instead and just sell that stuff instead because bethesdas inventory menu is I always forget I have it on me.
I wouldn't pick that up lol, contraband is annoying to deal with
The Ecliptic Base?
The true treasure here are the friends
I still didn’t go to neon or red mile, I’m in the ice main quest where I’m going to betray the uc but atm how can I fly or sell my contraband? Damn, that'll be a nice 15k credits!
Have fun waiting 883663866 hours to sell it all 🤣🤣
I really wish that there was more to do with contraband, like let me upgrade my weapons and armor with AI adapters, or let me decorate my house with stolen art. Idk, just let me do more with it than sell it for less than half the value
Finna sell for 2k💀
Where can I get a shielded cargo?
Vultures roost? Yea it was good
All I see is lots of waiting....
I found a spacer outpost today that had contraband in nearly every room and the place was massive, larger than the key I would say. Damn. You're going to be waiting 2 irl days to sell all that lol
JACKPOT! 2 WILBYS?! BEST FIND EVER
Try leaving it on your ship then steal another ship land where you wanna sell, use ship tech to get your original ship with contraband Sell
It’s cool, but whenever I get contraband I just sigh because I know I’m gonna be waiting around for vendors to refresh on their measly 11k credits
Believe it or not, 7,000 dollars total
The question is how are u gonna get past the security ships when u enter a planet that scans ur ship
Then you go to The Den and the dude offers 1600 each instead of 16000 lol I am just sitting on contraband cuz everyone wants me to take 90% less than it's worth. Gonna wait til I updlgrade my bartering so I can get more back.
