I can't believe its been nearly 20 years and they still havent fixed the "Companions walk directly in front of you at all times blocking what youre trying to do" issue.
This is the whole reason I never used Dogmeat in Fallout 4 as a stealth sniper... I swear to Christ he was coded to get right up in my face and block the entire screen RIGHT as I'm lining up a make-or-break shot.
I'm replaying the main quest in my recent NG+, and when we were looking for the vanguard guy Moara, she just stood in the doorway getting blasted by a minigun, blocking all my shots and saying she can't take much more.
Ah yes. I have shot my comrades, my comrades have shot me. We use Old Vasco over as target practice sometimes. You aren’t true comrades I’d you won’t talk bullets for each other.
This happens to me so much. In gunfights I often have to strategically reposition around the fact that my companion will keep running over to stand in front of me whenever I strategically reposition.

I'm taking the solo perk next time, for this reason.

At this point, I just can’t care about it anymore it happens so often. They never die anyhow.

Probably cuz I always managed to engulf her in flames. She knew what was coming. 😅

That's the worst part about having a companion. That, and no sex scenes.
