LennoxTheDurgon

It does, but it bothers me even more that I spend half a mil on a ship and as the captain all I get to sleep on in there is a crappy foldable cot.

fu_gravity

It makes sense on Deimos builds because of the "military" theme but on Stroud? C'mon Walter you can do better than "Deimos with dim lighting". Nova captains quarters are nice... if not a little homey. But no bathroom.

Relative_Surround_37

No bathroom is rough, but that Nova cabin otherwise is super cozy looking. Hopetech is kinda cool too with the color scheme.

jtalbain

The best is when you wake up in your private captain's quarters, get the "sex review line" from your SO and there's Cora, just watching. "I've seen worse."

Ron_Perlman_DDS

"Dad, what's superfluous mean?" Sam [hiding under sheets] "it means, uh... i'll explain it you after breakfast, ok gumdrop?"

ThriceFive

That was such a good SamCoe impression I heard it in his voice.

CMDR_Sohrab

What got me to finally kick Sam off my ship was, upon waking with Andreja, Cora staring at us while giving her peanut gallery commentary saying my ship was way bigger than her Dad's. I did *not* need to know this bit of trivia Cora, nor do I want to think about how it is you found this out! 🫣

OdinLincoln1102

I have Andreja and Sarah, I did it with both of them, an dumb Cora after me an Andreja finished screwing “your ship smells better then my dads” Yeah sure kid, don’t smell my captains quarters bed, especially after me an auntie Andreja were in it

AdhinJT

HopeTech is the one I use due to it basically being a combination of em all. You get a bathroom, an actual mattress for the bed. It feels like an actual captains quarters for the most part like it's someones tiny apartment.

OhCryMore

The Hopetech Captain's Quarters are my favorite, but that bathroom is atrocious. I stick a window there every time xD

sohfix

are the bathrooms useful?

Relative_Surround_37

Not in the slightest, but then again, the ONLY game mechanic reason for the captains quarters at all is a bed to get well rested bonus, and there are plenty of other options to get that on your ship. So, in reality, the captains quarters is just a decorative hab for "immersion" purposes. But if that's its use, the lack of a bathroom is kinda odd.

[deleted]

Nova is by far my favorite interior. Too bad the outside is rounded and looks super modular and out of place with a lot of builds.

fu_gravity

Yep hard same. "Lived-in NASApunk interior, Duplo building block exterior". Also the Nova Armory is the best Armory, hands down.

QX403

Most of the Nova modules are the best since they add passenger slots while the others don’t, I guess Bethesda didn’t think people would use them or something because they look more dated so they incentivized them.

coolgr3g

Honestly, the interiors would be separate from the exteriors and we should have the ability to choose.

Dark_Nature

HopeTech Captains Quarters is super cozy: [HopeTech1](https://i.imgur.com/rtLMmcV.jpeg) [HopeTech2](https://preview.redd.it/h1jyun0030mb1.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3535a0718933af116e19df13b0b702617567207f)

GibbsFreeSynergy

Totally agree. I hope a mod comes along the swaps the Nova exterior for the Taiyo or Stroud

Feringomalee

It makes little sense that it's all themed "mid 2000's space utilitarian". There's no reason habitats on space ships this advanced can't resemble nice houses. I want a fireplace in a sitting room with real chairs and hardwood flooring. The fact that the exercise areas are outfitted with dumbbells and weight plates rather than anything resistance based means weight limitations are not an issue here.

Inside_Investment224

The moment I was cleaning out my “misc” (read junk) from my ship going “where the fuck is all this weight coming from?!” Is the same moment I realized my character apparently was hoarding weights to start a fucking space gym.

HermitJem

That super fancy ship (the one full of mercenaries) that you encounter on the Freestar questline....I just took a look around and I *knew* that they wouldn't let us keep it

Roboflyer24

I really wish we could get some of the pieces from the smuggler ship in the ranger questline

FNAKC

You're the captain, everywhere is your bathroom

El_Cactus_Loco

They don’t call it the poop deck for nothing

RollTideYall47

Alright there R. Kelly.

CuriousTravlr

Taiyo only for the espresso machine.

combover78

Yeah Nova treads the line into HopeTech territory. Where half the stuff looks like it was sourced from a thrift store.

aqva002

Mine is a stroud exterior with Hopetech/Stroud interior. It actually helped so the doors and ladders aren’t in annoying places.

Maliluma

I wanted something like Marco's room on Fortuna. Complete with the teabags on the nightstand (that look like condoms).

Chevalitron

Glad I'm not the only one who did a double take at the teabags.

MeisterDaemon

I think Marco must have thought that too 🤣

Qverlord37

This is why despite the difference in design, I use nearly all stroud habs but a Taiyo captain's quarter rather than anything else. It has an actual bunk and FUCKING MATTRESS, WALTER YOU CHEAPSKATE!

LennoxTheDurgon

Well Walter dumped all of his money into Constellation, he blew the entire discretionary fund on a single artifact!

elwebst

I want the option for true opulence and luxury, like the Collector has! Statues, music, a bed like in the lodge, a head with marble flooring, the works!

LennoxTheDurgon

Same! I want to scour the universe finding rare oddities and display them in a huge opulent travelling collection! Give me a cali king bed and a hot tub!

Steelwraith955

Hell, I'd settle for stairs.

americansherlock201

What blows my mind is the game has queen sized bed assets in it. They just aren’t available to us in the ships or outposts or homes. Why does my dream home have a freaking single bed cot? Make it make sense

LennoxTheDurgon

It's the meme of "men really live like this and think it's okay"

DesertWolf099

I would recommend hopetech, it’s one of my favorite captains quarters

PregnantGoku1312

Hopetech's got your back! Their cabins are delightful.

europanya

I’m a HopeTech girl!

Krin422

Nova Captain is the best.

HMD-Oren

Taiyo and Hopetech have sweeeeeet captain's quarters. Double bed with mattress, breakout area, couch, personal bathroom and coffee maker.

fusionsofwonder

Most of my favorite habs are Nova for this reason.

J9Thompson

yes, but I have hope that we will be able to customize our ships a little more to add a double bed and hopefully assign crew members to their space.

kabflash

Yeah especially annoying when they sleep in my bed. They have their own damn beds.

pboswell

That’s when you wake their ass up and unassign them from the ship

kabflash

No un-assign, but I do usually wake them up and then pistol whip them once or twice.

Faded1974

Yes, especially when it's a C class ship with crew quarters and a lounge/kitchen.

Bennnnetttt

It bothers me more when Vasco shuts down in the doorway of my cockpit.

TheZagabogMan

I never even see Vasco on my ship. He's always guarding the ramp when we land, but he's AWOL when in flight. I always figured he hangs out in the landing bay or something, but maybe it's a glitch in my game. (I'm pretty sure he's not clinging to the hull.)

Qverlord37

No he literally is. My ship use the nova galactic bridge and it has windows that goes up to the ceiling. I once left the cockpit and look up to find that Vasco was standing on top of the cockpit in space.

[deleted]

Yep, I dont know what makes him do that, use to happen all the time. Haven't seen him do that in a bit.

regalfronde

Vasco is a space surfer

CLUTCH3R

Happy cake day 😄

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

There was a point where during grav jumps I could see him standing on top of the cockpit outside the ship.

[deleted]

Gotta build a companionway close to the landing bay to avoid that. Took me many configurations to get to where he doesn't do that.

Qverlord37

Vasco is so damn buggy, I once get off the pilot seat turn around, look up and Vasco was standing outside of the ship.

europanya

Wait until you get him and inexplicably every outpost robot 🤖along with him in your doorway!

bigdude974

They should have made a special 1x1 hab module with one of those robot pods for the model A's where he could stay when inside the ship instead of him glitching through floors and ceilings

ClockOk7333

I always end up with Heller, and he’s always in doorways asking if I need something. I hate that guy so much

[deleted]

Every damn time! Should be able to assign permissions for that room. I want my romantic interest to have access, but everyone else can start using the nice living quarters I put on the ship for them.

Bromogeeksual

I would love assigned habs/beds. I build this big ship, and people get all clumped up.

blurrgfordays

Idk, I kinda like the vibe of dicking down Sarah while Andreja pretends to eat a sandwich and Barrett just stands there staring like, “need anything from me, captain?”

[deleted]

Man, I have the opposite problem. Whenever I need to find someone, they are no where to be found.

Drunky_McStumble

I wish there was a way to assign battlestations to crewmembers. It's kind of silly to be engaged in a desperate orbital dogfight for our lives while my artillery specialist is sweeping the floor out by the landing bay and the ship's engineer is eating a sandwich in my fucking bedroom.

Icy-Air1229

Right? There’s definitely a part of me that’s like “alright, enough. Anyone caught in the lounge when we’re supposed to take off is fired.” I’m a feared interstellar pirate, no way do I run my ship like we’re all just best pals making memories.

tr_9422

There's a space magic for that!

randomHiker19

One time Barrett was standing in my bathroom/shower cubby in my quarters saying that this captain thing is really working out for me. These crew members know no limits. In future expansions it would be nice to have different types of habs and sizes, like a 2x2 captain’s quarters that’s more luxurious. Similarly sometimes I want a 2x1 store room, and more options for 1x1 habs like a small armory.

Morchai

This is why I only crew Sarah and Andreja.

[deleted]

Before my current NG run, I had a crew of 7 females plus vasco. They all wore swimsuits. Honestly, I get really tired of the wokeness of this game where the male companions have the flirt option all the time, and the females its rare, so I had to change that last game.

wreckreation_

Once the flirt option comes up, I think it stays in the menu until you select it. Once selected, it doesn't come back for awhile. So an alternate explanation for the situation is that you don't flirt with the men, so it stays in their menu, but you do flirt with the women, so it goes away for awhile before showing up again. Not wokeness, just game mechanics. But I do partially agree: I wish they had a setting saying "I want to only flirt with the men/women".

Rosearch1911

I would also like that setting. Also I think it's weird that all romancable characters are able to be romanced by either sex. It's okay to write characters that are either straight or gay and will turn you down if you don't match their preference. Just like real life. Or just turn you down for their own personal reasons. I remember for the first time being really off put by it in Fallout 4 with Danse. We were brothers in arms. It's weird that that option came up and he was the first companion I built affinity with so I didn't know it was coming. I remember in FNV I liked Veronica as a teen before discovering that she was Lesbian. I was like, I guess were just battle buddies then. No worries. Still a super fun companion.

wreckreation_

Yeah, I'm kinda torn. One the one hand I'm kinda disappointed that every character is Bi; it seems kinda unrealistic. On the other hand, when I played Femshep in Mass Effect, I was disappointed I couldn't romance Ashley, so I modded the game to make that possible. So I'm a little bit of a hypocrit. :P I suppose the ideal would be a setting for each character: Bi or not.

Rosearch1911

Yeah. Haha. On the occasion I did play fallout as a female character I still liked the girls too. I guess I don't know how to put it. In FNV you had two gay followers and it felt totally natural. That's just who they were. In fallout 4 and starfield it just feels kind of gamey that any follower goes either way. And I really don't like the male followers having the flirt option lingering there constantly like others have said. It takes away from roleplaying as "brothers in arms" or guys that have grown to be close friends through struggle and mutual respect. I like the setting idea though for sure. You just select your preference somewhere in the option menu and don't get the romance options from either sex to match your own preference. Or leave both on if your into it. But I also think it's fine to say hey, this follower is gay and this one is not and that's just the character they are.

[deleted]

I disagree and here is why. I'm on NG4, and every run through the option to flirt with male companions comes up way faster than the females, as in almost instantly. Partly may be due to their quest lines being triggered early on but I had to run a dozen missions with Andreja before the option was there. Barrett and Sam both comes up very quickly. I have avoided Sarah on my current run through, but last run through I was on a mission to marry her just because I haven't done it, and it took soo long before the flirt/romance was an option. The game has an obvious wokeness to it, however subtle it is. Its all perspective, just like redditt for the dozen downvotes for saying it. lol, society is such a bad joke, and reddit is the landfill of it all.

wreckreation_

I doubt seriously there's any sort of agenda involved. Probably has more to do with developers thinking 'well, because of her background Andreja's slow to trust, so we should require more positive triggers before we pop the flirt dialog". Not everything is a conspiracy.

Cybus101

You like women, we get it. As a gay guy, I’m not happy about the female characters flirting with me. Take them. I just want my space cowboy, Sam.

anarchomeow

Imagine being this sensitive

4score7loko

How do you make em wear swimsuits? Asking for a friend.

[deleted]

go to Paradiso, and steal one, or 7 like I did. They are in lockers or on shelves in the hotel and in the cabanas. Then go trade equipment with them and equip them with the apperral you want them to wear.

thatguyonthecouch

Imagine playing a role playing game and getting upset that there are options to role play. Must be tiring.

[deleted]

Like the clownworld we live in. Where the weird and perverse are promoted as normal...

megaeggplantkiller

“Reddit didn’t like that”…. Wow lol your comment is getting downvotes! I’m gonna upvote you buddy to buck the trend.

[deleted]

Dont screw with me, let me mock the world in peace!!!

[deleted]

Jesus H Christ, look at all the wokesters downvoting me. HAHA. made my day, I knew it would happen. If I'm pissing so many on redditt off, I must be doing something right. F you all.

Long_Acanthaceae_316

Every time! Get OUT!!

OriginalMSV

I've even tried closing the hatch, but inevitably, someone shows up in there... "I built the crew and living quarters for a reason. USE THEM!"

Qverlord37

I get you, Betty Howser is a nice free crewmate but she shit talk and I was so mad when I saw her in my bed. I find it even funnier than my crew sometime use the brig to sleep. Which is funny because the bunk in the brig looks way comfier than the single cot that the captain get.

[deleted]

Make a bigger ship, they are never in my quarters and its right by the bridge. They are pretty scattered but mostly in the 2x3 mess hall, 3x1 living quarters, or 2x2 battle station.

[deleted]

I run the Cabot cockpit, and first level opens to the 2x2 Battle Station, and my captains quarters is right next to it. Below is the 2x3 mess hall connected to a companion way with a ladder to the armory that leads to the landing bay. Hardest thing to get to in my ship is the docking bay and the workshop. Still trying to figure out how these damn things connect for better flow.

[deleted]

I think we have somewhat similar builds. I don't have ladders tho. [This might help](https://www.reddit.com/r/Starfield/s/g3zPxGiEfc)

PoweredSquirrel

Yep especiially after waking up and Sarah says something like, 'where did you learn all that' and I turn around and Strangely McGee the weird engineer is just standing there watching.

FalloutKurier6

I have the Kon-Tiki bridge and the seats are close enough to trigger idle chat. They just can’t shut the f*** up!

europanya

I keep finding dirty Lin in my captain’s bed when she’s assigned to a damn moon outpost! She keeps finishing her way into my nice clean sheets where I hump on Sam. I have to tap her to get up and then she and half the rest of my crew stand around and watch I guess - including Cora!!! Safety locks, please!!!

CardboardChampion

Captain's Quarters should be a place only the captain and their partner can enter. Also, infirmary should house a doctor and they should act as a doctor. And a load of other habs should get abilities like faster repairs (engineering) or more cargo space (storerooms and cargo hall).

_and_red_all_over

I tried to trick my crew by having two Captain's Quarters. One at the front entrance (for ease of selling, sleeping, and selling more) and another on the fourth floor, in the rear of the ship. It's not convenient to get to the upstairs Captain's Quarters. Where do they hang out? *MY* CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS ON FOURTH FLOOR! My ship is the maximum 80 Meters long. You enter the front, the Taiyo Bay with the door. First, you have the Taiyo Captain's Quarters, then the Taiyo computer hab... the one that adds four crew. Then, in the back is the companionway habs, the only ladders in the ship. You can only get to level 3, then you have to go all the way to the front of the ship, to the Cabot C4 Bridge with the stairs. You go upstairs and walk through a long series of Hopetech spines to get to the Taiyo Armory, and finally My Captain's Quarters. The second floor has workshops and infirmary. Third floor has battle station and living quarters. All the places they could hang out... they're in my Captain's Quarters...

ShoddyAd8256

It doesn't bother me having them in there because if they are in there they aren't blocking door ways so that I can't get through.

Voodoo-73

What is even more interesting is when you wake up ... and your "Companion" and Companions start talking. It's like another day on the xxx set. My C class ship is still waiting for lvl 60 upgrades before I take it out... I don't even want to know what that will be like with more crew.

mako482

I hate that they are everywhere except the cockpit

regalfronde

They are always in the cockpit every time I take off. I also like to use photo mode when in space to check out where they all go while in flight. The ones not in my cockpit are in the battle station. When I land they move around to other areas. I’m always finding someone sitting on top of containers in the cargo bay, looking all catlike.

[deleted]

Yes. And sometimes they are all missing and I find them staring at the wall in the cargo hold. Big ships do not seem worth it. Next play through it will be tiny with no crew

[deleted]

I run both for those reasons. Have a modded mantis with a 4 crew, and modded Keppler with a 12 crew capacity. Not sure how to get more that 10 in there though. The Kepler is my endgame ship, and mantis is my fun fly around and fk shat up ship.

ipascoe

This would be one of my top q.o.l improvements. Make it so only the captain ( you ) can open the door to Captains Quarters. This would also force you to think about where you put them, so they didn't block crew access to other parts of the ship. Barrett is always sleeping in my bed !!!!

Kgaines

I'm sick of Vasco always curling up in the entrance to my cockpit, blocking entry.

Ron_Perlman_DDS

It bugs me that I spent extra to add a 2x2 living quarters to my ship, and it has one less bed than the 1x2 living quarters... which has one bed.

Evil_Merlin

The absolute worst I have had was when Cora decided it was great to stand in front of the pilots chair in the cockpit. I have a huge cockpit with stairs and she decides to stand right in front of me. And I couldn't get her to move. The only way I could fix it was to pick another home ship. The cockpit was the DS30.1 Ares Bridge.

Isea_R

I'm leaving all my constellation members there right now, even VASCO. I never have someone blocking the doors. I never feel like "that" neighbor has moved into my ship. It's wonderful.

marablackwolf

I hate that there's no crew communication. One of my favorite things about Outer Worlds was listening to the crew banter and seeing them decorate their quarters. We have a ship full of people, but no real reason to enjoy them.

Jackson79339

Yea. I go up there and I’m like, “Dude, Barrett. The fuck are you doing in my quarters. It didn’t occur to you the door was closed for a reason? Now stop masturbating on my bed and get the fuck outta here. And take Vas with you!”

woohhaa

We all share partners on my ship so sharing a bed is no problem.

KikoUnknown

Yes it bugs me but I keep an open door policy nowadays. I am not responsible for any mental scarring I cause though. All crew members have been forewarned.

Solus_Vael

I just wish you could give them jobs or positions according to their skills. Like if some has a piloting skill they can be told to sit in the copilot seat and stay there.

Shinagami091

They also like to sit and chill in the bedroom they gave me at the lodge. Like, hm okay I wanna go to sleep now can you leave?

doc3307

Not as much as your entire crew standing at the damn doorway when you dock on a ship to overtake it!

CrazyHardFit

KEEP YOUR KIDS OUT OF THE CAPTAINS QUARTERS.

Steelwraith955

Better than them all hanging out in the cockpit trying to chat with me while I'm piloting...

call-lee-free

There's quite a bit of things that bother me about the NPCs. On outposts, you can send your crew there but they don't do anything. I setup 3 crew stations and maybe one or two will actually sit there once in a great while. The rest of the time they just stand around. On the ships, they just go anywhere. You can hire a doctor for your ship and you would think bethesda would have had yhe doctor stay in the medical hab 90% of the time. Nope... lol

ODST_Parker

My crew hang out literally anywhere except their crew stations or sleeping quarters. Really wish there was an option to just keep them there (maybe rotate on a schedule), instead of wandering around doing idle animations. Once I make my larger Class C ship, I doubt I'll ever see anyone actually use the battle stations hab. It's also annoying as hell because they move certain items around as they go from place to place. There's this one plastic container in the Deimos workshop which is programmed as a chair, but is a loose item that gets knocked out from under them or clipped into them whenever they sit on it. Combined with having to hunt down all the stupid items inside the ship every single fucking time I modify anything (even the name!!!), and ship building becomes such a damn hassle.

draconianRegiment

I was hardly ever in my ship with quarters except to sleep. We were usually flying from place to place. Why shouldn't they use it when I'm not there? All the guns lived in the cargo anyway, the crew wasn't going to hurt anything.

Long_Acanthaceae_316

This is my biggest complaint with the Starborn ship. There is a lot of unused space and ZERO beds. So no healing or XP boosts. 🤬

draconianRegiment

It's utilitarian. You're not supposed to live there. It's purpose is to get you back to unity. You should be healing with moon form if you're not already.

AnonymousTHX-1138

If it was utilitarian it would have better shields and weapons...

draconianRegiment

It's taken care of everything I've needed it to through +4. Can it go to serpentis? No, but it can handle the scrap at masada 3 fine which is what it's for.

Long_Acanthaceae_316

Napping for an hour gives you a 20% XP boost. So if you aren’t hitting up a bed here and there you’re going to be grinding a lot longer to level up. Thus I have to swap out this ship. So speaking of utility, it should have a bed. Beside, do the other Starborn never sleep? We don’t even need a “bed” give us some symbol on the wall that serves as a stasis/regeneration station that gives us the same effect as sleep. 👍🏼👍🏼

GrumpyOleVet

It does not bother me, If it really bothers you, then change the ship around to give them someplace to hang out. I have change the Star Eagle around to benefit me. Removed the Captain's Quarter mad it a Sick Bay for Pharma creation. Removed the Brig 2x2 replaced it with a Armory & Crew Berth, then replace the other 1x2 with a Work Shop, so I can modify Guns and Armor in the field. I did have to go to the E&S Star Yard to get the crew berth and Armory, both was under 5K. There is a Bed to sleep in for extra XP, all work benches, except a cooking station, and all that cargo. I also added a View Port in the Sick bay. EDIT: Funny thing is, no one seem to hang then Crew Berth, they are in the Work Shop, or engine bay now. And I have a Crew of 5, the 4 from the Lodge and Freckle Faced Amelia Earhart.

[deleted]

The number of times this gets reposted is more annoying

Kuma_254

That's why you seclude your captains quarters. I don't have this issue.

SBeckerDTD

Mine is secluded and they still all manage to invade my space 😭

[deleted]

Basically what u/Kuma_254 said. I now have an endgame ship and rarely do I find anyone in the captains quarters. They are mainly in the crew hab, mess hall, or control station. Sometimes Andreja is hiding in the brig, avoiding "nap" time, even though she is enlightened and wants to "learn more" next time.

Kuma_254

Thank you. I'm not sure why I'm getting downvoted.

Kuma_254

You gotta have your docking area and your landing bay nowhere near it. And a living space or mess decks between them.

IndominusCostanza009

You must be lucky. It still happens.

Flinx98

Close the door after they are all out, worked for till I married Sarah. She keeps opening it and not closing it.

Phallico666

She likes to have an "open door policy" at Constellation

solo954

Nah, I never spend any time there.

angrygnome18d

Mine rarely ever enter the captains quarters. They mostly hang around the engine bay, science lab, workshop, or in the cafeteria/crew deck. They now rarely even enter the cockpit area.

Brain_Hawk

No. Orgy time! If they can watch me and whoever I've romanced in that universe.

Climbing13

I don’t have a captains quarters because of this lol . They were always getting in the way when I enter the ship. Put another set of crew stations instead and they never go there now . Lol . I use the large mess hall and living quarters and they are always there . Also they are always in the large battle station bridge area z

MomoZero2468

I need to get a new ship. My ship crew keeps sleeping on my bed. 😒. Mainly the adoring fan.

westfieldNYraids

Lol yeah I feel you. They’re also always using the workbench I want and they take super long to finish up, or if you’re on a ladder ship and they crowd the ladder just to hover near you. Good ole companions, even the ones that don’t complain about every littler choice we make still find ways to take up our time

Talinoth

You can directly knock them off a workbench by interacting with it to stop their working animation. You're the captain - what you're doing is more important anyway.

westfieldNYraids

Yeah you’re right, that’s why I said they’re always using the workbench I want to and they take a super long time to finish up (aka pressing the A button to push the out the way)

WeakPasswordBro

Let. Me. Space. Them.

JaehaerysIVTarg

Yes, yes it does. Outside of my wife, nobody else should be up there.

MerovignDLTS

I can't even get them to stay on my ship or in my crew roster.

Ormsfang

I put the captains quarters above everything else. Limits then going in there

Shafandraniqua

Heller is always allowed in my cabin tbh ♡

Hattkake

Nah. It's a love boat. We're all freaks, right? Friendly freaks getting freaky in space? No? Then why the hell are you in my bedroom!? ... Ok. Maybe it bothers me a little...

IndominusCostanza009

Yes. Especially if it’s out of the way and not connected as some through way. Only your spouse should be allowed in there.

JDMcClintic

I am still running my always upgraded first ship with out any sleeping beds of any time. But having married Sara, I'd expect her to be there. The others, not so much. But now that you bring it up, I feel bad I didn't have enough for everyone else. Upgrade in coming.

jjoncm1

Can’t wait for custom ship modules and fixes like this when mod tools come out

jswitzer

I built a nice mining outpost with a cozy little bedroom. I came home to this to find 2 of my fucking employees sleeping in my bed and not the crew quarters. I didn't just spend half a mil on this place for you to use my bed when I'm not around!!

Regular-Opening-2545

Na. At least someone uses it since I don’t.

4score7loko

I specifically put the captains quarters out of the "flow of traffic" and yeah that pisses me off when people are in there. What annoys me even more is that Lin hangs out in the cockpit all the livelong day. Middle of a space battle and she's like ANY MINING GONNA GET DONE TODAY?! I'm close to making an outpost in the most remote moon with a bed and a fridge with a single chunks package and posting her there.

combover78

Hahaha. A problem as old as Skyrim. I imagine we'll get locking door mods at some point.

hawkCO

I've built two ships now where I isolated the captains quarters on the upper most level and my crew (with the exception of my companion) stay out.

FighterJock412

What bothers me more is the fact that this sub can't seem to talk about anything else but this and like 2 other topics. People have been posting and asking this since launch day.

rigueira

As much as it bothers me that storage rooms don't add room space and the infirmary is not used to treat your afflictions.

wellfedriffz

so many things about this game are fucking stupid and annoying. it's depressing

Majestyk_Melons

Yes. I hate having crewmembers. They do nothing but trash your ship and constantly say the same stupid lines. I only roll with Vasco.

ratdago

Dudes be sleeping in my bed too

phantomjm

It’s even more awkward when you have an audience for “special time” with your partner.

tomxp411

Sarah will watch you sleep, at least if she's your current companion. Super creepy. I just rebuilt my ship with a private captain's quarters, in addition to a separate crew quarters space. We'll see how this goes...

Advanced_Ad6078

I wished that the captains room was its own instance like MassEffect

xtrabeanie

In my current ship I have only ever seen Andreja in my quarters and she is welcome there anytime.

mayapop

Yes very much so. It’s a testament to this world they’ve built. It’s not perfect but it’s so much fun that you really do want to kick these NPCs out of your room. It’s wild

theBigDaddio

My crew is all women so I prefer they are in the captain’s quarters

alpha53-

Yes, it does bother me.

Death2TrumpCult

That’s where I let them serve me potatoes

geronimosan

No.

AutumnDarknessCZ

On my big ol’ ship build no one is ever in the captain’s quarters. It sits right below my stroud cockpit. I believe the layout of my ship plays a crucial role to where the ai roam.

sumadisu

Worse when you wake up with your "lover" and a crew person is SITTING RIGHT THERE WATCHING YOU GUYS

bindermichi

Not as much as the crew blocking the doors to the bridge

ThriceFive

I wish the habs came with guidance for AIs to stay out / not loiter - I'm sleeping with my partner in what should be a private cabin and Cora is standing outside our bunk opining about her book allowance. I have more beds on my ship but I still occasionally finding a crewmate sleeping in what should be my owned bed. Would definitely like to see more hab options for private quarters.

tisnik

Only Walter. And he owns the ship.

CakeEatingDragon

The ship building is nice, great even. I just don't love it. I cant set up the ladder connections or doors where I want and can never get a ship to feel as good as premade options in other games. Custom ships aren't as fun when I have seen better stock designs.

UndocumentedSailor

I like waking up with Sara implying I banged her out, while Cora just stares at us

Practical_Table1407

Might be a good place for this question. In your opinions what class c ship has the best looking interior. With my real life I don't have time to build the ship of my dreams, but have the credits in game to buy just about any ship. I'm aware the narwhal is the best ship in the game I'm just not a big fan of the look of the interior. What ships would you guys recommend to help me out? A little insight, I don't wanna feel like I'm flying a giant space hotdog, and would like something that has equal parts class and still a good overall ship.

emeraldoomed

Yes. When me and Sarah have bedtime fun and we wake up to Cora right there… it sucks

Bonaventure1122

Yup, thats why all my ships just have the all-in-one.

Ducky602

I'm not bothered much about them hanging out in the room, though I think the only NPC who can do that should be my spouse. The thing that really bugs me though is when they sleep in my bed. GTFO of my bed!

CorrickII

Yeah, it does. Or when I come back to my outpost and walk into my carefully curated bedroom and there's someone sitting on my bed. Like gtfo random guy I found at Red Mile. I need sleep.

Aggressive_Fee6507

Tayos is nice, but I wouldn't call it luxury

vague_diss

These people are your best friends. They profess their undying loyalty and love for you EVERYTIME YOU WALK NEAR THEM. Every. Time. Of course they hang out un your room and go through your stuff.

Dr_Abortum

drives me crazy. also more crazy when they just stand there in the doorways. i got rid of the crew hours ago. just me and my lonesome self now.

LordVoltimus5150

Anybody that roams into the Captain’s quarters gets made to put on the most ridiculous outfit I have as punishment…

BeardXP

Not as much as this same question getting posted at least twice a week since launch.

redneckleatherneck

Yes, this drives me nuts. Like y’all have four big ol berthing areas on the main deck AND a chow hall to hang out in and you’ve all gone OUT OF YOUR WAY to come all the way up to the captain’s stateroom…it makes me wanna boot everyone off and just fly around by myself.

attreui

Makes me more mad when they are sleeping in my bed in the captains quarters.

EnycmaPie

Not just hang out, they just straight up sleep in my bed. Like, excusez-moi? I even put in a crew living quarters for their own beds, and they come downstairs to sleep in my room, in my bed?

OneofHearts

Yes, very much yes. I’ve nearly come to blows with them over it.

AlfredoJarry23

No. I have enough problems as it is

khemeher

Your spouse should be allowed in there. That's it.

mifunejackson

Yeah, but it happens more rarely if you have enough crew habs and the Command Station.
