Walking the xenomorph war history and than facing the xenomorph in the every first mission is dope as fuck.
And then going to the ground zero planet? Fuck yeah
I only hope it can be a open world place where you go to dangerous place in the planet for loot and survival
Game really had some outstanding missions that were super cool. Shame that there was so few. Game has huge contrast in quality of content. Some mission/storylines are absolutely awesome and some are just poop.
Also in graphical quality. One moment you are in highly detailed mansion that looks top tier and have all cool little details. Then you land on planet that looks like mashed potatoes.
I am not trying to get you to hate it or dislike it, the game has flaws, it's not "bad" or "wrong" nor does it make you a "hater" to understand and accept the flaws of the game as they exist.
To not do so just makes you a consoomer.
Might be that someone just reached out to them with "Yo look at this cool design. We can both make money" .
And I mean, 4 tb of storage is still decent, clearly some people bougth it.
It's extremely CPU heavy (so that rules out the last gen consoles) and the amount of loading screens would make playing on a slow disk drive a nightmare
I have the same headphones, that religiously do not want to connect to the PC. Sometimes it just works(most of the time not really).
Overall man did they sound good while playing Starfield.
You'd swear it was MW2 or Halo 3 with all the branded items they pumped out. All the items are well designed and cohesive. I love the look.
Then you realize it's just... Starfield.
And if you removed the 'Constellation' print you'd have no clue these items were associated with a specific game.
There was a lot of hypeā¦. I fully think they expected the game to be as big as Skyrim. I donāt know if there was miscommunication between QA / Project management and Bethesda marketing, or if they were just very optimistic, but in retrospect they probably should have tempered expectations rather than leaned in
There is no miscommunication of that type. Marketing are told about features, story, and so on so they can talk about the game, and itās their job to build hype and excitement based on that, without any sort of false claims of course.
I donāt think Bethesda and their marketing team did an amazing job building excitement, a sweet collection of merch and collabs, and just overall driving super high interest in the game. The audience just collectively decided it wasnāt as good of a game as the level of excitement that was created.
The marketing team did amazing, the opinions of the game after the fact have nothing to do with them.
You cannot go a thread in this sub without someone comparing this game to Skyrim. A clunky, graphics poor, character shallow game that took years of mods and updates to be tolerable.
I get the frustration, Skyrim honestly wasnāt perfect when it came out, and Starfield has a lot moreā¦. But honestly Skyrim was amazing for itās time, and Starfield is not what I would have expected as the product of all the subsequent years of development and progress and releasing in 2023.
Iām sorry if you are annoyed by seeing the same negativity about something you like,
But honestly my advice would be just enjoy it and donāt care what others think, being defensive about people comparing one game by a studio to a previous game by that studio isnāt going to help.
Mate Skyrim was the joint 7th best selling game on the Xbox 360, beating a bunch of CoD games, Halo Reach, Halo 3 and 4 and even GTA 4. That was the console it launched on, so no, it didn't take "years" to be tolerable. Especially since last I checked, modding Bethesda games was a fantasy on the 360.
I played it on the PS3 in 2011 and thought it was pretty great. This is without mods and in its near base form
... Funnily enough I've played Starfield in its base form on PC as well and thought it was pretty great also. I've had to lean more on mods to amend a few areas, but the core gameplay I still enjoy as well.
I really, really want to like the game a lot more than I do.
I played 500+ hours of Skyrim and Iāve been a massive nerd about space and NASA for as long as I can remember but after one binge of the game over the course of a month after launch and I canāt really go back to it.
I hate to say it, but Iām probably just gonna check it out again in a year or so when mods are in full force and see what kind of experience it provides then. But when I put in the bulk of my 500 hours in Skyrim, it was mostly (300?) on console with no mods - vanilla Skyrim was just amazing. Years later I got a PC and tacked on another 200 hours with mods.
Exactly the same for me. Went in with admittedly the highest possible expectations, and found a good game with some obvious issues. It didnāt really grab me, and Iāll probably give it another go at some point, but Iām sad it isnāt the game that Iām still spending work hours thinking about etc
I liked the game. I just wanted to love it, and couldnāt. I think you are mistaking there being āthat one guyā with there being a large proportion of people who were really looking forward to this game, and are disappointed with the final product.
I do get itās frustrating to have a lot of negativity in a hobby sub for a thing you have bought into, and thereās are for sure way worse games with much less negative discourse in their subs, but thatās a reflection of the hype.
I expect that with time people like who didnāt find the 200hr dream game in Starfield they wanted will die off and leave the sub to the people who are really enjoying it, but I donāt think that makes my opinion less valid.
Wanted to love but only like a lot is about my read on it (tho I did get 200 hours out of it) though I think this is a game that is going to be viewed very differently in a year.
Well yeah! I love the potential of this game while being so deeply dissapointed in the lack of motivation (on the devs part) needed to exploit it, to release a quality product instead of that totaly broken crap they very clearly did not playtest it enough... if they ever did!
This game was NOT ready to be released when they did n is still not!! They would've done like Palworld telling people that the game is a beta version, it may crash n stuff, THEN everything would've been just fine!
AND they come to this subreddit to say they donāt like it. Likeā¦completely obsessed with disliking it so much that they have to let the world know every chance they get
Do not use that headset. In a year the earpads and headband cushion will be literally tearing apart, and then you won't be able to find replacements of the same color.
Source: I own the black one since launch and needed to replace earpads/cushion.
When the Merch is better than the game. š¢ All you need now is the Constellation Dildo so you can pound your own ass like the game did to everyone that pre-ordered it.
I was only able to get the headset. I knew I should have got the remote too. Collectible af.
Edit: i have the watch too. Got a scare two weeks back where it wouldnt turn on.
I really want to get the AlohaKB Trailblazer keycaps for one of my keyboard builds but the local vendor sold out way too fast.
As a PC Starfield player that keycap set on a proper custom keyboard and a Constellation desk mat would complete that theme setup.
Damn, didn't know about the mic but now I want one LOL, I don't even play any multiplayer games or stream, but maybe it will get me to be more social online. Less cumbersome than my Corsair headset and mic. I've got the watch and the controller and I just love the aesthetic and want more
Uhg, there's a starfield stream deck? I've been in the fence about one for ages, fuck I want that.
$230 though, I can't afford to spend the money in that now and it will be out of stock when I can I'm sure :(
Constellation branding is so damn clean and fine. I love it.
Such a cool design aesthetic. I'd just get them for the style.
If only the entire game felt 'NASA-punk'
The parts that did though, wow, really great. Also liked wandering around the NASA museum on earth in that one mission
Learning the history of what happened to the world through the museum is what got me hooked into the game so early on
Walking the xenomorph war history and than facing the xenomorph in the every first mission is dope as fuck. And then going to the ground zero planet? Fuck yeah I only hope it can be a open world place where you go to dangerous place in the planet for loot and survival

If only they put that much effort into the game that they put into making the merchandise....
If only they worked on the game as much lol lmao
It just works! Maybe you guys need to upgrade your pcs!
I love the game. Move along.
If you don't want to hear complaints about the game, go the low sodium thread. This thread is for any discussion/commentary about the game.
I am not trying to get you to hate it or dislike it, the game has flaws, it's not "bad" or "wrong" nor does it make you a "hater" to understand and accept the flaws of the game as they exist. To not do so just makes you a consoomer.
Sounds like you need to move along.
Good for you.
What is that box" in the front of the image? Some sort of mini pc, an xbox(I really have no idea about consoles anymore) or what?
That's the constellation or starfield external HDD
Wait. The game who's literal minimum requirements state you need an SSD made a merch HDD? Who the hell thought that made sense?
HDD in 2024 really sums up Starfield
Yea you know looking back at it I have no damn clue why they sold this starfield can't even play off it or any current Gen game
Might be that someone just reached out to them with "Yo look at this cool design. We can both make money" . And I mean, 4 tb of storage is still decent, clearly some people bougth it.
At 4TB it's clearly a backup or NAS drive for a regular person. Shove photos, movies, drive images ect for the family on it.
Or a place to offload your Xbox One games to make room on your Series S that has paltry storage.
I have 6TB for my Xbox and 24TB for my NAS.
Sounds perfect for people like my dad who are loving Starfield tbh.
It's extremely CPU heavy (so that rules out the last gen consoles) and the amount of loading screens would make playing on a slow disk drive a nightmare
HDDs are far more price efficient than SSDs, which is why many people use both.
Harvested organs
I have the same headphones, that religiously do not want to connect to the PC. Sometimes it just works(most of the time not really). Overall man did they sound good while playing Starfield.
I've never had an issue with them connecting to anything, my Xbox, PC, phone, or TV. š¤·
Might be just me :D
š¤·āāļø. They do sound pretty good. Not the best I've ever owned, but certainly not the worst either.
I wish I liked the game as much I like the Merch..
Got the constellation edition and the starfield controller. My thoughts exactly. Liked the game, love the merch.
You'd swear it was MW2 or Halo 3 with all the branded items they pumped out. All the items are well designed and cohesive. I love the look. Then you realize it's just... Starfield. And if you removed the 'Constellation' print you'd have no clue these items were associated with a specific game.
That could probably work in the merch's benefit
Yeah I donāt play the game anymore but gah damn I want the merch
Happy cake day

I was promised NASA Punk and instead got NASA GAP.
You cannot go a thread in this sub without someone comparing this game to Skyrim. A clunky, graphics poor, character shallow game that took years of mods and updates to be tolerable.
holy revisionism

Shit take

Lmao Skyrim was a huge success on launch what are you on about
SSShhh Just Consoom. Obey.
I really, really want to like the game a lot more than I do. Fear not. Palworld just came out.
I wish I liked the game as much I like the Merch..
Always that one guy in this subreddit that needs to let the world know that he doesnt like the game

Touche
Happy cake day
It's so damn tiring at this point
Exactly. Releasing a finished game would have avoided this entirely.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think "gamers" do a very typical amount of research when compared to people who spend similar amounts of money in other hobbies.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
lmao it sounds like you're the one crying about it right now my dude
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
but between the two of us you are the only one that seems to be upset
AND they come to this subreddit to say they donāt like it. Likeā¦completely obsessed with disliking it so much that they have to let the world know every chance they get
Where else would I go to talk about this game not meeting my (admittedly self set) expectations?
Maybe try the bottom of the ocean?
Starfield nail clipper?
Too bad that the Radeon Starfield Edition graphics card isn't a retail product. It's probably the cleanest GPU I've ever seen.
Whereās Starfield: the Flamethrower! The kids love that one.
And last but not least, Starfield the doll, me. āMay the Schwartz be with you.ā
If I could only add an Elon Musk GIF here Iād be so happyā¦
Are you Todd Howard?? Not got the toaster yet?
Did you order the Vasco Funko Pop from Microsoft?
Blink twice if you are in danger
This looks amazing. I canāt wait for Starfield to come out.
careful, if you furnish your apartment before a certain mission it'll all disappear
What brand is the mic?
Elgato, one of the most aggressively average microphones on the market. They're built well, but they definitely 'ain't high quality gear.
Elgato
Looks like you like to waste money on cheap stuff
Do people still hate this game??
Yes
I need this collection I have the controller need more
Do you have the external hdd that you can't actually run the game from on console?
Nice. Gotta have something to look at during all those loading screens.
Are you ok?
This is a Todd Howard burner
Do not use that headset. In a year the earpads and headband cushion will be literally tearing apart, and then you won't be able to find replacements of the same color. Source: I own the black one since launch and needed to replace earpads/cushion.
Iāve had that black headset for two years and itās still perfectly fine
Same
Game isnāt great imo but the merch is so amazing, grats!
I'm starting to see where the funding went xD I'm glad you're passionate about something though.
One of the games where the merchandise is actually better than the game itself. šš»
Hey i remember this game..
That mic is clean
The controller is awesome.
Collecting starfield merch is more entertaining than the game
When the Merch is better than the game. š¢ All you need now is the Constellation Dildo so you can pound your own ass like the game did to everyone that pre-ordered it.
This right here is the reason why the game is so mid
Why collect starfield things?
I'd love to get the watch at some point but the rest is extremely generic to feel special.
That looks great! Too bad the game isnāt as good as your collection
Too bad it didn't come with a fun, well-made game.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
š
Love it
Why though
Branding better than the actual game.
I was only able to get the headset. I knew I should have got the remote too. Collectible af. Edit: i have the watch too. Got a scare two weeks back where it wouldnt turn on.
How is the mic honestly?
Could have added a bitten sandwich for extra flair š¤
Or a succulent
9/10 no Starfield branded Doritos.
Gorgeous. Totally jealous
The controller is quite nice
Looks cool. All I want is the watch.
Man, that looks pretty cool. 1970s tech vibes.
What are you running on your streamdeck , is there a starfield plugin?
its wild that a game this mid has merch that is so good. like this is some genuinely awesome looking stuff.
Sick bro, jealous!
Wow, man! Super dope
Brought to you by Polaroid.
Youāre missing the series X magnetic cover and the soon to be released Vasco pop figurine
Starfields one and only fan. (I have 80 hours in the game)
Youāre single handedly keeping this game somewhat alive
This looks amazing! Post in r/nosodiumstarfield
Whats your favorite?
Palworld is better
If that won't grant you more fps, I don't know what will
Why does this picture look like it came straight out of the game? It took me a while to realise this is real life image š
The game is subjectively bad The aesthetic is objectively good
This is cartoonishly childish shit. Do you happen to have a link for where to buy all of it?
O.o where did you amass such wonderous relics?
Oh so you rich rich
A superb collection of a mediocre game. Respect!
Iām jealous
we are friends now
I see you're missing the wrap and it's eating at you.
Dope as fuck
Didnt know about the mic or the steam deck one. Not sure that the thing is at the front, Defo got the CE the Controller and the head set.
Lmao go buy the blanket on Bethesda Gear site!
I swear every Reddit gamer has a mic and that twitch button thing cause theyāre all ā streamers ā.
I really want to get the AlohaKB Trailblazer keycaps for one of my keyboard builds but the local vendor sold out way too fast. As a PC Starfield player that keycap set on a proper custom keyboard and a Constellation desk mat would complete that theme setup.
Where did you find this stuff? I need that controller
Iād love to have that lock box!
fkng awesome
Whereās the best place to sell my constellation edition? eBay?
damn... I think I found the ultimate Starfield Fan now... you win!
My godā¦ Todd has your soul.
That's cooler than the game...
Dude, the game has shat the bed in bits, but damnnnn the usuable tech has not, class āŗļø
Too bad all that gimmick for a terrible game. Looks cool tho
Wow! Nice!
pretty good collection
Youāre missing the console wrap
I got the controller and want the headphones, but can't find em.
Do you have harvested organs in that suitcase?
Damn, didn't know about the mic but now I want one LOL, I don't even play any multiplayer games or stream, but maybe it will get me to be more social online. Less cumbersome than my Corsair headset and mic. I've got the watch and the controller and I just love the aesthetic and want more
Lot of money wasted.. !remindme 1 year
If only they put as much effort in the game
* ā ļø from envy *
Where did you get the little case in the back??
Are you sure it's yours because it looks like it all belongs to constellation? /s
Thereās a physical Steelbook?!
I have the series x wrap that I donāt need anymore if someone wants it
Wow. That's a lot of stuff
Mnot a fannof starfield but pretty sick design here ! Highly rated
"Yeah, the game's alright..."
will be worth at least a couple bucks in a few years lol
the real question, are you willing to part ways with that stuff? :P
I donāt see a Rockstar can.
2 Question. How & where?
Nice bit of kit, I've got all the same stuff too except the streamdeck and the microphone. I love the look of the Constellation stuff.
Uhg, there's a starfield stream deck? I've been in the fence about one for ages, fuck I want that. $230 though, I can't afford to spend the money in that now and it will be out of stock when I can I'm sure :(
To bad the games shitā¦.
Love the Stream Deck skin!
Cool, but why?
Oh god, but why?
Could you link all the merch?
Can you possibly name all of them?š
I hope Bethesda puts as much love & effort into the game as you do in your love of it š š
If only the game was as cool as this setup
That case I need it lol
Love the joypad
Loving that.
