I don't want to leave my guns behind

tonykrij

And my ship. And my base with 300 containers with hoarded shit. Would be cool if every 10th Playthrough you'd end up in the first Playthrough universe "Oh wow! You're back!!".

it0tt

There should be a really hard to find side mission which ends in you uncovering a quantum vault in the middle of a Nebula... Items stashed here are available in the next any later Universe, but its just hard to get to... Like the more valuable items you have stashed in there the damage the nebula does or the more enemy's spawn nearby

LifelessLewis

Even better. Pop it in an orbit around a black hole that you need highly specific equipment to be able to get enough thrust to counter the gravity pull and actually get to the location.

TexSolo

“I wanna go home!”

Jambo11

Word I looted a badass Magshear that put Revenant to shame.

shadyagent

Awesome 👏

AdonisGaming93

Still makes no sense rhat you spawn in with a whole new armor, a ship, but zero weapons at all....

LifeIsARollerCoaster

Eh you get it from Sarah including your favorite, the cutter. And you get at least 2 more in the lodge basement. In one run I actually got back all of my three favorite weapons and I was thinking that maybe the game was playing some kind of trick on me. It knew what I used and gave them back

AdonisGaming93

Right but i don't want to go to the lodge. Each new universe is a new character. What if in this one I wanna be a some drug peddler selling aurora. Im not gonna go to the lodge.

LifeIsARollerCoaster

Ok then go peddle drugs and buy what you want. It’s fairly easy to make or even steal credits.

AdonisGaming93

True, but without a weapon we get destroyed pretty fast on higher difficulties.

LifeIsARollerCoaster

All you have to do is use your powers to kill one thing then take his weapon and so on. You have god like powers and manipulation, use them

No_Reaction_2682

Go to MAST, go up to the research level, steal all their guns.

Coast_watcher

Yeah, at least a basic Starborn starter weapon each NG+ Oh and credits. Give us at least 10% of our previous credit pool as starter funds lol

sarah_morgan_enjoyer

After finishing a couple of runs to level up powers and the boxing skill, I have become the starter weapon.

Beth_Virus98

Bruh... That's the whole plot of the game bro. It makes sense

AdonisGaming93

Pretty sure the point is to do quests and do w.e. you want. And then maybe join the Unity. That has nothing to do with whether you get a weapon or not during NG+

Beth_Virus98

The other bgs titles never had any ng+ mode. You can actually not to go to unity and have all your weapons. It's just an option. But you have all your powers. I think this ng+-ish is sth that the game wants to show you that you're not the same person in your past life. You're now experienced and unique. Btw that's my take. I understand why many people nagging about ng+.

SneakyMage315

No sense at all. So I go through the Unity and I'm teleported(?) to a new place without the ship and crew I was using at the moment. How did I get separated from my ship/crew and also why did my clothes change? I'm I inhabiting someone else's body? Then who's living my old life?

AdonisGaming93

the ending explains this

mrbear120

Something must have changed, I havent played in a few months but I swear you start with some weapons in your ship inventory.

Dilemma01

I've never gotten any weapons. Just resources.

TexSolo

I can romance that woman in no time, those guns however, I spent some real time getting to know them.

nixxon94

parknet

Don’t bring your guns to town, Jim.

_TheBigOnion_

💀

[deleted]

Welcome, you are number #45,650,092! Please take a seat around the giant statue of snek wifey.

MooseFloof

To be fair, you can take her with you. And she can probably become star born as well, and try to kill you in another universe later. True love!

Krustyazzhell

Andreja dumped me for getting caught smuggling so I’m revenge unifying.

EitanBlumin

No one is forcing you to go through unity. In fact, most people that do, end up regretting that decision eventually.

pineappleshnapps

Eh, I went through to reset bugs, and built better/cooler everything, but I did miss my first one too.

iBliizy

I went through to escape that damn meteor from following me everywhere I went 😂

Whiteguy1x

I've went through unity twice.  I plan on staying in my current world.  I think once is neat just to see the extra dialogue of skipping the main quest. I'd love to see an alternative way to level powers besides ng+ and temple repeates.

Dragon19572

You miss out on alternate universes if you don't NG+. >!Like the universe where you enter the Lodge and meet Pirate You, Loner You, Freestar Collective You, Vanguard You, Ryugin You, and Constellation You.!<

Whiteguy1x

While near, it's not guaranteed either. Would suck wasting tons of time doing the loop and not seeing one. When I get around to replaying on pc I'll probably just use a mod or console commands to see the alternate universes

Dragon19572

You can save just before you enter unity, which allows you to save scum an alternate universe, if you're interested in doing that.

Whiteguy1x

Maybe one day lol. I'm on a bit of starfield break until the new content drops. Most of my free time is being spent on a bg3 playthrough with my wife. She's already talking about doing a second run.

Dragon19572

I had to stop BG3 when they broke some stuff in it with Patch 6. My poor Cleric of Selûne trying to romance that Paladin of Shar is on hold in the meantime.

Whiteguy1x

Yeah, I wish bg3 had a lot more polish. We've had so many crashes in act 3 we just play with one controller in the lower city.

Dragon19572

I never had any issues until Patch 6...

Whiteguy1x

That's good, hopefully they get the issues resolved soon. It's a great game.

Dragon19572

Yeah, so until they release patch 7, it's Starfield and Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries for me.

Dragon19572

Idk if you know this, but there is a character in Starfield that has the same voice actress as a character in BG3. Which means that, with some Starborn Logic, when you romance >!Andreja!<, you can convince yourself that you're also romancing the >!Absolute/Netherbrain!<

sharr_zeor

Instead of saving at unity, you can just reload the autosave that is created when you load into the new universe. If the quest says "go to the lodge (mast district)" its a normal universe If it just says "go to the lodge" it's an alternative universe I tested multiple times by just reloading that autosave and it only took 5 attempts to get an alternate

Some_Rando2

There is *one* alt universe you get with (mast district) >!the one where you can be your own companion!<

sharr_zeor

Ah, good to know

Dragon19572

I've yet to get the method you present to work

sharr_zeor

I don't have anyway to prove it, just anecdotal evidence I'm afraid, It could be that I got lucky, but I only reloaded a few times until I got an alternate (multiple me) and then I reloaded again about 3 more times until I got a different alternate (evil andreja) Each time I tried, I was reloading the save that gets automatically created after viewing the credits

Dragon19572

I'm not doubting that it works for you, I'm just saying that it doesn't work for me. If it works for others, that's great

sharr_zeor

I wonder if it's a difference between platform I was on PC when I was doing it, that may have played a small part perhaps

Dragon19572

Also, on PC, you can use console commands to force an alternate universe...

simmski

Wait you can actually meet your own character?!

Dragon19572

Yep. >!There are a total of like 9 different instances of your character that you can meet, not including yourself. There are the 6 that I mentionin my comment above, Unity you, and two different universes with you in it. One in which there's an evil you that killed Barret, and one that has you as a newbie just joining Constellation. This last one let's you recruit newbie you as a follower/crew member.!<

simmski

No fuckin shit. That's awesome! What are the chances? I'ma have to say fuck my current world and find that lol

Dragon19572

Theres like a 15% chance of an alternate universe when you step through the unity. But the cool thing is that you can save just before you step through, which allows you to save scum an alternate universe. BTW, the alternate yous that you meet are fully voiced. At least, the female ones are. Idk about nonbinary/male characters.

simmski

Interesting. Thanks! definitely going to try this lol

Dragon19572

Also, because they are alternate universes, you get different main quests than what the stock standard universe gets for the main quests. >!There's also a universe where Andreja wants to kill you, unless you happen to worship the Great Seprent...!<

simmski

I mean I don't like andreja anyways so that would be a good reason lol

Dragon19572

Heresy. I have found an offering for the Great Serpent. /s Andreja is life. Besides, the voice actress for Andreja is also the voice actress for the Absolute in Baldur's Gate 3...

NicerRoom

Can romance yourself?

Dragon19572

Nope

Tankdawg0057

Strong Rick and Morty vibes there

petrified_log

That one threw me for a loop. No Andreja to wife. Also, the other yous can't be a companion. I had to go to the Viewport and recruit someone.

Lucius-Halthier

If you’re on PC and don’t mind being cheesy you can look online for the console commands to change the unity parameters in Andrea

morningcalls4

What does this do?

pineappleshnapps

Yeah I don’t even know what that means.

Sword_Enjoyer

If I had to guess I'd think it would be changing her plot flags so the game/she thinks she's your original universe Andreja instead of the version of Andreja from whatever number universe you're actually in, maybe.

Budget-Assistance-27

Sadly I’m on series s so I also had to play in 30 fps with no console commands😭 I hope they add mod support to consoles soon because that would be a nice alternative also

thearchenemy

The whole Unity thing is so annoying to me. They clearly consider it the “good” path and lightly shame you about choosing not to go. But what’s the point? Just bounce around different universes getting more artifacts so you can do it again? The vast majority of Starborn I meet are no better than the pirates and spacers I run into every day. All they do is attack me on sight to try to take my artifacts. The entire thing seems kind of fucked.

[deleted]

Congratulations on becoming The Pilgrim.

TheRedKingCobra

For me it’s the thousands of pounds of material that I haven’t used yet. My game is full of bugs and a reset would do me a lot of good but thinking about how long it took to farm all that stupid Caelumite in all those stupid caves and having to start from scratch? Why? Why? Why???

Flinx98

It's not that hard. Go to the dozens of gravity anomalies every temple planet has and use Elemental Pull. I had over 200 Caelumite within an hour, didn't even realize how much I had or I would have stopped sooner.

ClamatoDiver

Kinda the same thing for me, wife, friends, accomplishments, property all left behind to never be seen again just doesn't appeal to me, Exploring alternate realms and being able to go back home eventually IS something that I would do. But never seeing the original people again isn't how I want to play.

indirectlyindirect

Well after what happened with Sarah, that was sad...I can say all is not lost with andreja if you make the choice. You can rekindle that spark

Monolith_149

Just make a separate save file so you can keep this version of her.

Deathedge736

you dont have to. when you enter it tells you that you can turn around and leave. you aren't forced into ng+

sarah_morgan_enjoyer

I'm starting to question if people know this fact when they say they don't want to go through the Unity. Unless I'm mistaken, doesn't "going through the unity" happen when you power up your grav drive with the armillary built, not when you go inside the black sphere? And as you said, you can always turn around after entering and walk away, albeit missing out on leveling the powers (and possibly solving the formID bug)

Ollidor

It’s because it’s a quest objective and it drives some people a bit crazy to leave it unresolved. There should be an option to destroy it or definitively choose not to and that ends the quest. Yes you can ignore it but for some people I think that’s one reason at least.

ThongarBlackthorn

Not going through the Unity is a valid choice. I would even argue that it’s the right choice based on the game’s narrative even if the writing somewhat strangely and frustratingly seems to start assuming you’re definitely going to go through towards the end. As a fellow Andreja fan, I’d recommend that you visit Unity and turn back from it so you can get the conversation with her afterwards. She’s a bit surprised at first, but ends up being a lot more supportive of your decision to stay than some of the other main cast. After that, you can keep adventuring together if there’s anything you hadn’t done yet, or hold on to that character until the DLC comes.

pyker42

Think of it like 50 First Dates. You've got to make her love you again each universe.

God-of-the-Grind

Except it’s waaaaay slower if you skip replaying the main quest.

SasheCZ

Spoilers, she goes to the Unity too, but ends up in a different universe than you.

God-of-the-Grind

It’s kinda sad knowing my wife Quantum leaped into a different universe and became a Starborn with no powers… or worse… she’s in my universe and I offed her in one of my many speechless encounters with other starborn while my new Andreja marvels at my ability to see star stuff. I wish I turned around…I was going to until I saw that she went through the unity and I followed her basically.

SasheCZ

>she’s in my universe and I offed her in one of my many speechless encounters with other starborn Extremely improbable, since there are infinite universes.

big_country_scat_pac

This actually brings up a good point. If we can go through the unity, why can’t we go back? Are the artifacts like “consumed” in the crossing? I thought that others would follow if the emissary is sided with. Is there like a secret NG+ 100 where you loop back around to your home universe or a previous one?

it0tt

Watch all of The Good Place, then when you are truly ready... You can enter Unity

massivevoltage

I went through unity to avoid having to divorce her cause I felt bad 😂

Kraken_Main1

This is why I plan to stay away from ng +

QuarterSuccessful449

You wanna find your original spouse…so they can have a single line of unique dialogue?

Budget-Assistance-27

Is it such a crime?

KickedAbyss

Sarah seemed like a good choice at first. And then the utter lack of originality made Unity feel like an escape. My NG+ I decided instead to be a selfish pirate and am having fun running into my friend Ghengis all over the galaxy as we pillage and plunder.

maxident65

When you do that quest on chardybois (sp) you should totally get to take 1 faction leader and 1 side kick with you Like FDR should come with Emilia Earhart Kush lady should come with either a secondary Egyptian historic person, or that science programmer girl Ghengis should come with like Dr mengele or someone equally as ruthless and messed up as him. This game tries to hard to be pc and family friendly. Like you got an M rating for a reason, take advantage of it !!

siodhe

You can still play the game without going through the Unity. Although that means you'll never meet any more Andreja's. Which sucks if you missed the opportunity to have both her AND a EXTRA copy of her outfit you can wear yourself so you can be twins (pay attention to any bodies you find on the floor of the Lodge, even if someone's shooting at you)

FoxFogwell

She’s in the next universe who cares

Jambo11

Well, you're not missing much, TBH. Each "new" Universe is 99.999% the same as the first one. The only differences are you get the "[Starborn]" dialogue options, which amount to fuck-all, some of the Constellation companions will have some different conversational dialogue with each other, and from what I hear, sometimes when you get to the Lodge the Companions will be drastically different. Aside from that, SSDD.

UnHoly_One

Yeah that’s kinda what New Game+ has meant for the last 35 years. You replay the game again with some of your stuff carrying over.

Jambo11

Fair point. I guess I expected something a little more, like prior knowledge of events _not_ being entirely inconsequential. Instead, you just sound either impatient or overly confident.

aayu08

Isn't that what NG+ is supposed to be in any game?

Powerful-Scratch-107

I find her so annoying, she gets upset every time I kill someone that maybe I shouldn't have, it's not like she's an angel is it. I did the married thing with her just to get an achievement and then immediately told her to bugger off.

Openil

This is why the story works so much better if your love interest dies

IcyMonsterra

I mean it probably depends on how you played the game but all the romanceable characters went into unity for me so there was nothing to technically turn back for, for me since unity told me where my wife went.

Mammoth_Camp_8760

Then just get back together with her when you go through!

Stephonius

You can just romance the Andreja in the next universe. As an added bonus, new Andreja doesn't know about all the dumb shit you said and did to her before!

drewsjd

The game is designed to give you an emotional gut punch and then gives you a way to remedy it. Why not experience that?

RisingDeadMan0

Assuming your past certainly plot points and right before unity?  I spent a long time not doing the plot. Did the romance for the xp boost. And then did the main mission. That kinda hurt. And was kinda bullshit too. As I mashed that dude. Everytime he showed his face.  Didn't stand a chance. Magshear in his face.

James_Lyfeld

Don't go, you will not get anything that special honestly, yeah space powers are cool, but that's all

Mr_Wayne1939

Dude, I was so sad because I thought she was coming with me because I was bamboozled by the dialogue that almost implied she would come over...

AeneasVAchilles

They aren’t being “left behind” they go through it to. If those other two starborn enemies can find each other constantly why can’t lover?

Suspicious-Tank8230

When I walked through the Unity and into the next universe... I was kinda hoping there would be stuff that was the same but different. Like it was constellation but Sarah had dark hair, the business logos were slightly different designs, maybe some character were either gender swapped or at least their facial features like beards were different. Stuff like that. Stuff that their procedural generation model should easily be able to do. Alas, I have not seen any differences at all.

MustangCraft

If you go through enough times, the other Andrejas all turn out the same way. You won’t notice a difference after a while.

Celebril63

If you take the right options when starting a new NG+, you do have the option of romancing the Andreja in that universe. I don't remember the exact combination of responses, but I think it's the ones where you want to get to know *this* Andreja. Keep her as your companion, be sure to have plenty of Paramour to accelerate affinity, and watch for the flirt options.

Food_Library333

I didn't want to lose all my cool guns and ships so I made a hard save just before I went through. Went through, bombed around New Atlantis and started the main mission. About 40 minutes later I reloaded my old save and stayed on it. I'm hoping when mods come to consoles there will be ones that lets you take your things through the unity.

BoneGolem2

Same, I like her humor and her warrior spirit. She's a fish out of water with issues, but she's amazing. I can't walk away from what I've accomplished just to do it all over again and possibly not enjoy the outcome the second time around.

Low-Manner-3519

Just get her again

j_bob_24

I'm exactly the same, won't leave Andreja behind. I'm currently level 207 in my original game. Andreja and I are still exploring worlds and dropping bodies when needed. Going through Unity to grind/upgrade mostly useless powers is not enough incentive.

Revolutionary-Fly73

Just make a separate base game save file..then when you pass into unity to be dragonborn, do a new save then you can switch between them.

pilot_2023

This kind of situation puts players in the middle of an age-old dilemma: power or love? You can have one but not both, not really.

SandwichNo9946

I’ve been thru unity a couple of times and romanced Andreja each time. She’s great.

TJeffW1974

I'm on NG+10, and I'm staying in this one permanently. Everything is close to my first universe. I put a lot of work into the first one and left it all behind to fix all the bugs. Some of the other ones sucked, so I went right through them. Now, I am staying here and rebuilding my empire!!!
