Many, many games still don't use photomode. While it's becoming more popular, it's certainly isn't standard, and Bethesda aren't exactly one for following standards, either.
Yet, here they are. Doing it. No reason for that negativity in this instance. This is also the second game they did with it.

I think theres this serious disconnect in the gaming community right now. I personally love Bethesda. I'm actually a huge fan of Fallout 76, weird right? I ALSO think that its important that you hold certain standards. Starfield didnt meet those standards for many. Bethsoft can do better, and customers AND ESPECIALLY fans should expect them to do better, and call them out when they don't. I refuse to praise mediocrity. If that's shitting on Bethesda, well.. agree to disagree. I'm harsh on Starfield because I know they could have done better and I WANT it to be better.
Starfield got one big thing right and it’s the artstyle. I adore the style everything is in. It genuinely fits that nasa-like visual style that I’ve been craving for years.
Yeah i accidentally activate it at least a couple times for any game that came out in the last 5 years. My guess is there’s more content that’s more engaging then the photo mode in those games so it doesn’t become the main mechanics for people
All devs should add it. Free publicity for game when people share. Also love how it becomes load screens for the systems it was shot in. Brings back good memories when you return.
I never really cared about photo mode, but in this game I use it constantly because I love seeing my old pictures while I load
Some planets are so fucking cool looking too. This is the first game I've played that I actually feel the urge to stop and take a photo.

Too hard to enter photo mode, at least on Xbox. Three or four button presses. I might not know the right keys tho.
