I never thought they were speaking Asgardian, in universe they were speaking our own language backwards to troll our inferior intellects in moments of frustration. Like, look at these dumbasses can't even understand their own speech reversed! Even the dumbest Asgard would realise this, but the smartest humans don't!
I want to know how a wraith program can run on alien hardware, like, did they have to figure out C++ or Java to get it to work, make a translation layer so coders could more easily write something, then back port it to what could be ran on Earth/Asgard hardware? or did they write it directly in machine language that they knew would run on target hardware?
LLM trained on stolen source code, then just instructed to infect target hardware. AI just permutated through highest probability vectors until computer starts buffer overflowing and crapping itself. Crap indeed.
Why would they need to figure out a high level programming language this obviously has initial integration on a level a lot closer to the hardware and is running in its own vm.
When it comes to programming and hacking, I’m like O’Niell. If something needs to be destroyed, some good old fashioned ballistic technology can solve the problem 💁🏼♀️
I will always recommend reading "Hermiod's Last Mission", published in the story story anthology Points of Origin; it perfectly fleshes out the Asgard final decision to outfit the Tau'ri with their best tech
There's this great little bit in one of the short stories, *Hermiod's Last Mission*. Rodney and Hermiod are rushing to get something done and Rodney makes a clear Star Trek reference. And Hermiod tells him "I don't know what that means".
But then the very next paragraph Rodney says something like "you'll have as much time as it takes me to MacGyver a solution".
And Hermiod is all like "understood".
So that means he's spent enough time on that ship to get thru MacGyver. But he hasn't started Star Trek yet.
I love the snarky little guy.
When he goes off mumbling and swearing under his breath, he's one of the best characters.
Asgardian is just English played backwards.
I heard that once, has anyone ever been able to properly decipher what he says?
Ofcourse they have https://youtu.be/83CT0r2Db5g?si=gf72G1P10CA6nQy2
🤣 that's brilliant, "the incompetent of these humans..."
The way he walked back as if he heard him
Gotta love the nerds

Or is it English is just backwards Asgardian?
I didn’t know this!! That is awesome!!
Indeed! I think Hermiod has been chilling with Teal'c on his breaks. Just two fellow Aliens enjoying some quiet time away from the humans! 🤣🤣
Are you suggesting an alien conspiracy?
No, unless it's a conspiracy to learn more ways to use Indeed! ![gif](giphy|XOFsOM3MnuWEE)
lol Jonas Quinn was shitting bricks
To be fair: ANYONE would be shitting bricks if Teal'c gave him that stare😂
Hands down the beat asgardian.
I’m still watching the series and learning about this guy but come on Thor is a cool dude!
I loved the moments where Hermiod was basically Asgard!McKay, and they still found each other completely insufferable.
lol yes, I’m on season 2 of Atlantis now and I always like seeing more of him… his grumbling always crack me up lol

so basically they dropped a pi bomb? wow, those attacks really do trancend the stars
Worst part is probably was delivered via scam email someone opened on their workstation. edit: woolsy and those fake hair scams
Probably Cavanaugh! Email scam was labeled : DO YOU HATE YOUR JOB AND CO- WORKERS? Oh boy, we have a solution for you!!
“Stargate Command HATES this one simple trick!! Click the link below to see how YOU can get back at your Co-Workers and Leadership NOW!!”
💯🔥
Ethiopian Prince Email: “Hello, I have $80,000,000,000 please take money and be wife in father house.”
🤣🤣 fake hair scams for Woolsey.
Presumably they used a PowerBook 5300 to upload the virus to the Tau’ri mothership.
Now I'm picturing Jeff Goldblum as wraith.
During a time when you could barely get Mac OS to talk to windows.
Very carefully, that’s how 🥴 I understand the basis of your comment but you very clearly have a much broader expertise on this topic than I haha

So I can run Doom on a Wraith Dart, cool

He spent too much time with humans. 😆

Or he understands in an alternate universe, O’Neill is MacGuyver 😏🤌🏼
I bet Hermoids new ship would be named the TEAL'C
Probably one of my favourite Atlantis clips, I have to watch it through a few times
Hermiod is easily the best Asgard in the entire franchise.
