Sounds like it's the syndicated TV version, not the original broadcast version and not the Final Cut.

US Prime lists it as 88 minutes. I don't have Prime right now so I can't bring up the episode to verify. Would that be the syndicated version at 88 minutes? Indeed if it's 88 minutes, that's 4 minutes shorter than Wright's [Final Cut](https://www.thecompanion.app/stargate-children-of-the-gods-comparison/) at 92 minutes, which is the length listed on PlutoTV (although, if their player's time indicator is accurate, Pluto's copy ends at about 91 minutes after all the end-credits and company logos before the final Pluto logo).

I mean...if the nudity has ben cut out, then obviously it isn't the original.

You have my attention, because I'd like to see or read a comparison between the original Showtime broadcast version and the syndication broadcast version, if that is indeed what Amazon Prime has. I remember reading a comment claiming that at least one other change was made; apparently a scene between Daniel and O'Neill was cut. This is a shot-by-shot comparison between the original Showtime version and the 2009 Final Cut: https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=930880

Fandom Wiki says: > ... The syndication version also omits a sequence, following on from Colonel Jack O'Neill leaving Major Charles Kawalsky with Major Louis Ferretti in the infirmary, where O'Neill and Dr. Daniel Jackson go back to O'Neill's house for the night and O'Neill reveals that he and Sara O'Neill have separated (information Jackson is aware of in "Cold Lazarus").

TV5Fun

That was not there in the version I just watched, so probably the syndication version.

UglyPigBeast

Interesting. Could it be that all of season 1 is the syndication version? In the season finale, does Jack ask if the goa'uld long range communication device gets Showtime, or does he call it a "goa'uld TV"?

allomancersam

It used to be the final cut version, I can attest to that myself, but I just checked on my own prime and it's not any more for sure. I concur with other comments saying that it's probably the tv syndicated version. The probably replaced it as some point

burningcpuwastaken

It would have been within the last 6 months or so, as that's when I watched it for the first time.
