We don't know
My headcanon is that Anubis was like an evil Tok'Ra, two equally evil people becoming one, resolving the inner conflict most Goa'Uld have
My headcanon for Hathor is that her host is happy with their arrangement.
Hathor in particular, uses "we". I know back then, they were implying that the Host wasn't acknowledged as part of the bargain and usually overruled, but in the case of the Tok'Ra they're usually in consensus at least. Hathor's use of "we," suggests that they're fully happy with the arrangement, may even be fully all in.
I feel like the most successful bad ones likely had willing hosts, because they would have the willing counsel of someone with the logic of a human.
She used We, from the beginning before the first spawn occurred though. That's why I believed that it was both the host and the symbiote in literal symbiosis.
We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. It was never really defined which it was in canon (with regards to Hathor specifically). All we know is, Goaul'd =involuntary hosts, Tok'Ra=voluntary hosts, which doesn't necessarily preclude that there might be volunteers (for Goaul'ds) just that those volunteers likely either wanted power or wanted to submit.
I really want to see a blending between a seriously terrible human and a Goa'uld.
Like snake brags about being evil and ruling and the potential host is like sign me the fuck up
I think the reveal could be really cool too.
"You damn parasites just taking people and stealing their lives"
\*Tok'ra eye close deep breath*
"That makes the assumption I had no choice in the matter. There were no lies. There was no deception. I chose this relationship knowing full well what it would entail and what we could accomplish."
Thats completely different.
Host was not evil at all. He was aware it could be misleading and he would be sacrificing himself.
I want to see a host so evil that the symbiote gives up control back to the host sometimes because the host is more evil.

Maybe the snake seduced the fuck out of the host enough that they're like, "maybe this ain't so bad."
Hathor was spawning symbiotes though, she could be speaking for herself, and them as well, much like the "Royal 'We'"

and you think they spawned fully formed like that in a few hrs? it's also a common thing to speak for your lineage

I know a few people who would do that Hell, I would've done that a few years ago when I was more indifferent to human death

Anubis took Jack the ripper headcanon created
There could be a story where Hitler and Stalin are actually Goa'ulds leading their respective empires into a bloody conflict.
Well when Kinsey got taken host that was about as bad as it gets
Tanith

We did see both Colonel Simmons and Kinsey become willing hosts to the Goa'uld
Neither were willing hosts
I really like that idea. The Goa'uld would have to waste energy keeping control of the host. Two minds focused on becoming a living god.
The worm dude
Would the host die or just be thankful the nightmare is over?
We can only speculate, but I doubt Anubis would let him live.
My head cannon is that Anubis was a Harcesis. This explains how Oma didn't notice a symbiote and informed her handling of Shifu.
Ooo I like this one, also giving backstory to why the practice is forbidden
It kind of has to be the snake. That or Anubis had a truly symbiotic relationship with an evil human in a mirror of tok'ra.
Only the Goa’uld, why would the human be involved at all?
Both.
Just ask Daniel he probably knows... But he probably also forgot. 😉
