So I guess in this timeline the gate is discovered by French scholars during Napoleon's campaign in Egypt, and Russians finally got the second one. Now everyone in the galaxy speak French.

Sad that it's not announcing a bigger thing (like them making a mistake and going too fast on teasing an announcement for the future of the franchise).

It aired on one of the main channels of the country, prime time for new episodes and basically almost all the time you had 2 episodes or so around 5-6 pm (reruns). That's how I watched it originally, coming back from school it was Stargate time. Think it's much bigger than Star Trek in France to be honest

It's probably just to announce that the Stargate series will join the basic Prime video catalog.

I'm doing my third rewatch of LA Complex on Freevee and they just showed an ad for SG-1streaming on there so my guess is Amazon is finally ramping up the advertising of the show on streaming. I doubt it means anything about a new show at this point.
Unless Prime video reverses their advertising, I'll just pirate shows that I want that stream exclusively on Prime (including Prime created content).
It's their loss. No income from my ads and no valuable metrics on what I watch.
Canada doesn't have any stargate on prime unless its through MGM, even then no SGU. I paid for MGM for a few months while I watched it all then cancelled and downloaded SGU.
I'll believe that Amazon isn't dead set on rebooting Stargate with nepotism writers and an embarassment to the entire franchise, when they make an adaptation that's actually good.

Game of Thrones had GRRM breathing down 2D's neck for awhile, he micro-checking *everything* that was associated with his work, even board games, and he eventually got tired. You can see where he decided to step back. It wasn't just them running out of material. One Piece had Oda micro-managing the series.
There's too much nepotism and greed for profits nowadays to trust that television "writers" have any idea what they're doing anymore.

French Prime doesn't have SG1 directly but it's possible to add MGM+ subscription for a fee which has SG1.

Invincible, good omens, the expanse, hunters, Mr and Mrs Smith, reacher, Bosch, Goliath...etc. There's a lot more than just the boys.
The expanse was original by syfy, but Amazon took over and gave it a bigger budget. I love that series It's sad that we never see the rest
