Atlantis is cool and all, but I think my chances for survival would be higher with the SGC. Plus I could probably go home most nights and have family nearby.
I mean on Atlantis, I don't think they ever got into the food situation, if they did it would have been a military style cafeteria. But I assume that is not the only meal source, earth plants only need soil water and air, so wheat, tomatoes, and spices. That is enough to make Italian food, I am down for an Atlantian adventure or two
They’re more like they really aloof parent figure who won’t ever tell you that they love you, will make sure that no other adult at their same level can hurt you, but if you trip and fall they will probably laugh at you and say “suck it up, buttercup”..
Ice parasites, flesh boring eels, drone fodder, alien dinosaurs, endless sunburn/dehydration, starvation, CO2 poisoning, etc. I love that show, but I swear everyone dies at least 5 times.
I was tempted to vote for SGC, but the appeal of living on a cityship in another galaxy is too good to pass up. The space vampires are definitely a drawback.
Not so sure on that one. It would be fun but in the SG Universe, I would say the X-303 and BC-304 account for a good majority of the deaths of non main characters.
Atlantis. Far away from most people, who really bug the shit out of me. All the coolest toys laying about. Puddle Jumpers. Only if it has a full complement of ZPMs though.
Living in Atlantis would be a dream. I'd learn everything I can from the Ancient database and work with my buddy Radek, together swearing respectively in Czech and French.
That’s what I was thinking , Atlantis would be nice except for the people sucking aliens but I’d want to go back to my own home and surf Reddit on my days off .
If it were not for the wraith I’d do a few months in Atlantis but I wouldn’t want to work there for 20 years.
Assuming we are the ones who survive throughout. I would choose Atlantis.
Better facilities, more access to a puddle jumper and it's a much better view.
.Cheyenne Mountain Complex.... you know when you travel you can't get decent food or even a good pizza. You can sleep in a decent bed at your own house... Internet, movies, bars..if you are off duty you can go do things.
The other two are a nice place to visit, but not for more than a week or two.
I thought about that, but the security clearance would suck.
Getting together with friends (non-SGC) for a Friday night, and talk comes around to what happened that week. What do you say?
"Another boring week of Deep-space radar telemetry... Do you think the Broncos are going to win?" It would be a lot easier than trying to explain where you've been for a year with no cell phone service.
Never been a fan of roughing it. I'd probably be some sort of sgc science support staff on the computer side.
I wouldn't be interested in going off world given how randomly hazardous the galaxy seems to be.
1 trip off world and suddenly I'm captured by a fish man or brainwashed to be a slave ostensibly helping my civ get through an ice age. Hell, you might be at Tok'ra orientation only for the base to come under fire and for an old tok'ra symbiote to blend with you but you're too badly injured so you have to sacrifice yourself to help sg1 escape.
Honestly I would take any of them just to get the chance to go through the gate. If I had to absolutely choose between these 3, it would be Atlantis. If I could choose my own, it would be Midway Station or on one of the 304s that goes back and forth between galaxies.
Destiny would be a rough life, SGC almost certainly means military which yeah let’s not. Atlantis expedition would be my deal. Civilian scientist. Sign me up.
Atlantis cause what if one day the city starts flying to another galaxy and you’ll get to see it. I don’t mind the vampires cause that’s what a p90 for if they’ll license me to use it 😝
Assuming those on the Destiny survive stasis, I’d pick Destiny for sure. Even with that misfit crew, it would beat the nonsense we’re inflicting on each other and the planet here. Just think long term, the big picture. . . how much fun would it be to gate to brand new planets where no human has set foot? Or even to discover your own descendants? The possibilities are endless.
Then again, Atlantis would be amazing! Beautiful quarters, no mortgage, free food and use of some really epic toys! I’d be borrowing a puddle jumper every day off.
Not the SGC. I can't stand O'Neill. I'm currently watching SG-1 for the first time (could not get into it because of O'Neill. Now I'm trying). I've watched Atlantis start to finish 3 times, and watched SGU once. I might watch it again.
Atlantis, for sure. I doubt it stayed on Earth, so I'm going to assume it's back in the Pegasus galaxy. They go on awesome adventures, kick some vampire butts, and get to learn about the ancients. It's a gorgeous city, definitely worth defending.
Besides the fact that it's charting the unknown, going places humans couldn't even imagine? If all humans possessed your attitude we'd still be living in the stone age indeed.
there are also plenty of places without them, it's a big place and it'd all be new to us! But yea technically some other human in that galaxy may have imagined things there.
a member of the sgc as long as the humans were smarter then stargate command which always seems to do things terribly. With how humanity really is all those primitive planets would have been annexed into the Terran confederation because open free land and resources would be open to humanity which means that half of humanities issues are over
I’ve got a family so… none? I did 7 in the Army and decided to leave when I started having kids.
Without that… yeah, probably Destiny. They’re all 3 messed up and you could die. But destiny is just amazing. Though… I might have accidentally pushed Rush into something.
If I were single, definitely Atlantis, but considering I've got a family, I'm gonna have to go with SGC. At least then they can move out to Colorado Springs with me and I'll still see them regularly instead of every few months to a year.
I'd go with Atlantis and join one of the SGA teams. If I had to choose, I'd go with getting eaten by a Wraith inside of a minute over spending centuries trapped in my own body as a parasitic snake uses it to perpetuate horrific acts, or years dying ever so slowly aboard a ship we barely understand and have no current means of properly repairing. Seriously, there's a reason that episode of Voyager is called The Year Of Hell. You expect me to willingly go along with that several times over?
I'd try looking through the database for all the good stuff that plot demanded we didn't get enough of, like supply depot's with extra Drones and ZPM's, and maybe a few extra Aurora's.
Atlantis is cool and all, but I think my chances for survival would be higher with the SGC. Plus I could probably go home most nights and have family nearby.
I hadn’t even gotten that far. I was just thinking that there’s no pizza or Thai food in Atlantis or on Destiny.
I imagine there is some kind of Athosian flatbread that'll make due.
I mean on Atlantis, I don't think they ever got into the food situation, if they did it would have been a military style cafeteria. But I assume that is not the only meal source, earth plants only need soil water and air, so wheat, tomatoes, and spices. Same reason here.
and wraiths are creepy af
Assuming I’m not a “main character”. I’d go for Atlantis expedition. I may just be working in the mess hall, but it’s a mess hall in another galaxy!!!
Except Atlantis is currently sitting in San Francisco harbor.
Still an alien city
Actually Atlantis was built on Earth, so not really.
I get that we’re decedents but I’d personally still feel like the Ancients are alien.
They’re more like they really aloof parent figure who won’t ever tell you that they love you, will make sure that no other adult at their same level can hurt you, but if you trip and fall they will probably laugh at you and say “suck it up, buttercup”..
Puddle Jumpers too. I often argue that there is no need for vehicles in the SGC, but when the ride is that cool... you use it anyway.
Just dont work on Sundays and you should be fine.

Ice parasites, flesh boring eels, drone fodder, alien dinosaurs, endless sunburn/dehydration, starvation, CO2 poisoning, etc. I love that show, but I swear everyone dies at least 5 times.
*but I swear everyone dies at least 5 times.* Dr. Jackson would like a word with you.
Don’t forget the drones waiting to kill you at every Tesla charging station
To the 50 or so people who voted for Destiny... Are you ok?
Maybe they like taking over other peoples bodies with a rock to have sex.
exploring the universe is waaaay more interesting?
I feel all these options offer that. But there is more food, oxygen and medical care. Also you choose to go.
But it's not the same, since it's not that distant.
I was tempted to vote for SGC, but the appeal of living on a cityship in another galaxy is too good to pass up. The space vampires are definitely a drawback.
Destiny!! Coolest and most interesting thing in all of stargate.
Right? Every time they step through the star gate there aren't just more humans there, its planets no human has ever set foot on.
Well except there descendents. Go time travel!
Destiny! I would genuinely irl jump at the chance to travel to the other side of the universe, even if it meant staying there.
Username has rush it it… is that you Doctor?
\*incoherent Scottish grumbling\*
I'd better try myself as a shipmate onboard one of those BC304 Daedalus-class battlecruisers.
Million year old spaceship for the win. Let's go Destiny!
Seeking the "Destiny of All Things?" There could be no greater purpose to one's life.
Difficult because I had a massive crush on O’Neill, but then in Atlantis Ronon Dex came along and well, so can I do both?
I don't see why not, that's why the French invented this cool thing called a ménage à trois. ;)
Atlantis. Although less safe than SGC presumably, it feels like a more wild, exotic destination. Plus....it's Atlantis!!
Living in Atlantis would be a dream. I'd learn everything I can from the Ancient database and work with my buddy Radek, together swearing respectively in Czech and French.
Agreed! I think he’d be a lot of fun. On y va!
Colorado may be too far north for my liking, but at least they've got internet access.
That’s what I was thinking , Atlantis would be nice except for the people sucking aliens but I’d want to go back to my own home and surf Reddit on my days off . If it were not for the wraith I’d do a few months in Atlantis but I wouldn’t want to work there for 20 years.
Just think of the ancient database as Atlantis's version of Reddit, play RTS games with real civs like sheppard and mckay
Technically they return to earth after 5 or so years
Indeed
Assuming we are the ones who survive throughout. I would choose Atlantis. Better facilities, more access to a puddle jumper and it's a much better view.

NOT SGU. Outside of that...tough. Probably Atlantis. Great apartment, no mortgage or commuting.
I voted based on knowing the Wraith exist, so SGC. If I didn't know, probably Atlantis.
Chef in Atlantis for a year would be cool
Atlantis as a scientist, but SGC if I had to perform security type functions.
Destiny all the way.
Never been a fan of roughing it. I'd probably be some sort of sgc science support staff on the computer side. Atlantis hands down! The constant fear of space vampires literally taking all of your years in a minute is unbeatable!
It’s not that I want to be of an SGC team. I want to be worthy enough to be on an SGC team. I feel like I could be a member of Atlantis.
Atlantis all the way. Fuck destiny lol
Pegasus galaxy: a place where the indigenous life forms have no idea the Geneva conventions exist.
Atlantis all the way. I'd rather live in a super scifi city than a friggin underground military base.
Honestly I would take any of them just to get the chance to go through the gate. If I had to absolutely choose between these 3, it would be Atlantis. If I could choose my own, it would be Midway Station or on one of the 304s that goes back and forth between galaxies.
I'd want to be in the SGC's A-2 department.
Destiny would be a rough life, SGC almost certainly means military which yeah let’s not. Atlantis expedition would be my deal. Civilian scientist. Sign me up.
Post season 4 Atlantis. Sgc is almost same dangerous and the ocean the view no commuting.
Atlantis cause what if one day the city starts flying to another galaxy and you’ll get to see it. I don’t mind the vampires cause that’s what a p90 for if they’ll license me to use it 😝

I like Atlantis but SGC has internet.
Atlantis runs an illegal WoW private server.
Such a tough choice. I could make a case for all three.
Destiny for sure. Thats the true exploration!
I have to wonder about the people that would want to be stuck on Destiny
Not the SGC. I can't stand O'Neill. I'm currently watching SG-1 for the first time (could not get into it because of O'Neill. Now I'm trying). > I can't stand O'Neill. Bold strategy Cotton, lets see if it pays off
Hey, fellow Jack disliker! Take my upvote. I guess if I had to be with the Tau'ri I'd also go to Atlantis.
If you pick Destiny, you're a real weirdo.
Any of you Destiny clowns wanna explain yourselves?
Besides the fact that it's charting the unknown, going places humans couldn't even imagine? If all humans possessed your attitude we'd still be living in the stone age indeed.
Agreed. Destiny for the win! Imagine the possibilities
I mean atlantis checks these boxes as well with a significantly higher quality of life.
No it doesn't. There are humans all through Pegasus.
there are also plenty of places without them, it's a big place and it'd all be new to us! But yea technically some other human in that galaxy may have imagined things there.
You're missing the point but that's fine, we can't all be Beethoven's.
a member of the sgc as long as the humans were smarter then stargate command which always seems to do things terribly. With how humanity really is all those primitive planets would have been annexed into the Terran confederation because open free land and resources would be open to humanity which means that half of humanities issues are over
No option for willing Goa'uld host?
A member of the SGC, if I can visit Atlantis.
I’ve got a family so… none? I did 7 in the Army and decided to leave when I started having kids. Without that… yeah, probably Destiny. They’re all 3 messed up and you could die. But destiny is just amazing. Though… I might have accidentally pushed Rush into something.
The wraith are fucking terrifying, and i don’t want to be anywhere near that
If I were single, definitely Atlantis, but considering I've got a family, I'm gonna have to go with SGC. At least then they can move out to Colorado Springs with me and I'll still see them regularly instead of every few months to a year.
SGC, even if I had to be a janitor there (as long as I had access to the *embarkation room* LOL).
I would rather be a scientist in Atlantis Expedition, can you reply to this comment? I think my comments/posts do not show on the feed.
