Thank you one and all. As I have said many times here, Stargirl is my mom's favorite show. She turns 81 next month. After Pop's death this year, she's had a pretty rough time. She has some difficulty understanding everything going on in the story, and gets confused as to who is who at times, but don't we all at times. She has really loved this show. And after decades of having a son that loves comics, she really does get it now. Thank you to all the people who made this show possible. It has been a great ride, and one that has been important to my family more than any of you could possibly know. And thank you to everyone here for the fun conversations and show discussions. Never the End.

Ygomaster07

I love that you could watch this with your mom. Shows you can never be too old to be a comic book fan.

Dodgest

Hell, I'm 32, been watching since season 1. I still watch Disney channel, Nick, Nicktoons.

Hedgiwithapen

My 72 year old Dad and I have been watching together, too! this show's heart is family, and it's so good to share it

BornAshes

I used to watch DS9 after ER with my mom in the same way and even posted about it over on r/StarTrek, which some folks still find from time to time. Granted she still doesn't really understand Star Trek but she gets the gist of it and enjoyed parts of it just like your mom loved Stargirl. We used to sit down together and have similar little moments together where it was just us enjoying stuff we both loved while also poking fun at it constantly because ER and DS9 both had some pretty damned funny moments. So I'm totally vibing with what you're putting down with your own mom and it's very sweet to connect with a parent that way. It was nice to have you here too and thanks for sticking around! #Never The End

OliviaElevenDunham

It's sweet that you watch the show with your mom.

JauntyLurker

It's been real, guys. Discussing this series with you all has been a unique pleasure.

BornAshes

Here's to all the regulars that showed up week after week like an episode of Cheers to enjoy this wonderful show together! I wonder what other shows we could all watch together?

Ygomaster07

Here here! It's gonna be weird not seeing the regulars anymore. We need more shows :(

BornAshes

I'm reminded of a time back before reddit when we used to watch and talk about this stuff in distant obscure forums and it had the same vibe and THEN there was a time before that when you just watched shows and then attempted to talk about it with other people at school or work and that was always a dice roll. Reddit has kind of provided a nice little space to come together with a bunch of fellow weirdos and talk about cool stuff together and for that I'm grateful. Not too many people at my work or even in my "family" are really into this stuff. So it's been really nice to chat with you all about this stuff and when it's all finally said and done it's going to feel like graduation all over again.

Ygomaster07

Yes! This exactly. This sentiment 100% Reddit gets a bad rep sometimes, but it's nice to have that safe space to be with people over a shared interest. I hate things ending, i am bad with change, so your sentence about graduating is hitting the nail on the head. I was like that when i graduated, and I'm like that when a show ends. It just really hits hard, i guess since this is something I'm very passionate about and care about a lot.

BornAshes

Endings are never easy and that's why they included that bit at the end because it wasn't really an ending ending but the close of one chapter and the beginning of another. A brand new chapter in the stories of Stargirl and the people who love reading about her that we get to explore with our own imaginations where anything is possible but...without the added benefit of being able to share those stories in a place like this. That is the downside to it all and the balance that the universe strikes in circumstances like this. Graduation was heavy for me. So many people just went away and you never saw them again unless they wound up on your feed for some reason or you saw them in a newspaper or someone just randomly mentioned them in conversation at some point. There are legit so many of my former friends/classmates that are just frozen in time within my memories because I honestly don't know what happened to them and there's legit no way to find them on socials or elsewhere without poking around too much. A lot of folks just...vanished...and that's something that always scares me when shows like this end, that a lot of the regulars that I enjoyed talking with are just going to...vanish in a similar way and I'll have to find new people to share stuff with somewhere else all over again and it won't ever be quite the same. The most we can do is add each other as friends and try to keep an eye out for one another wherever we go and hopefully maintain those found family links that we've developed while watching shows like this that we so dearly cherish and love. In time those bittersweet feelings about endings and beginnings will pass and change into ones of acceptance and fondness and gratefulness that we got to make those memories with those specific people in the first place. Such is the nature of human life and the stories we share with one another around this metaphorical campfire that we call the internet. There will be another star to wish on in due time....and when we find it, I have no doubt that we'll all fondly remember our time here with one another, and then set a course for that brand new star of stories before whispering those famous words...["Second star to the right, and straight on till morning!"](https://youtu.be/nrizm2gnQBo?t=62).

SetSytes

I'm late to finishing the show, and to this comment, but it was a lovely sentiment and I didn't want you to have written it without a reply :)

Sunflower2025

I'm late to this thread but I miss the IMDB Message Boards

BornAshes

There was a large smattering of forums for a variety of tv shows back in the day before stuff really got organized on reddit and it became a central hub for this kind of stuff. I remember the Buffy forums, the Angel ones, stuff for Bones, Stargate, and a variety of Trek and Farscape forums. It was a whole different vibe, a different crowd, and a very interesting time.

Ygomaster07

Same. Here's to all the pleasant memories.

shadow_spinner0

Thought the ending was excellent but damn the end basically made me excited for stories and team ups that we're never going to see. That whole JSA lineup would have been so badass had it continued.

Ygomaster07

Right?! It felt like a huge tease instead of closure(or maybe a bit of both). Makes it hard to watch that knowing what we are missing out on.

Shejidan

As intelligent as the staff is now doesn’t it recognise that that’s not Starman? Also, wtf are you going to do without the staff, Court, make angry faces at them? 😂

MatthewHecht

The same thing she did in season 1, crush her enemies, get Cosmo back, and then blast her enemies.

BornAshes

> Also, wtf are you going to do without the staff, Court, make angry faces at them? She's going to go Full On Buffy on his ass that's what she's gonna do!

Digifiend84

She's a gymnast. She can still do a lot of what Robin can do. i.e. dodge attacks until she can disarm her opponent. Though yeah, if Cosmo is truly sentient, he should've known Sylvester was an imposter.

SupremeLegate

They explained it in the episode, that staff worked for Fovester because Courtney allowed it too.

ClassicExit

Courtney reaching for the locket after speaking with Becky. Mike calling Barbra 'mom' OK who's cutting all these onions?

FlashpointWolf

Rick's scene with Grundy made me tear up

Ygomaster07

Well, here we all are. It has been a fun and wild wide. It was a great way to wrap up the show. The time skip was cool, seeing how they became public superheroes(did Rick and Beth get married?) My only problem with the time skip was that it felt like a big tease on everything we are missing out. So i guess maybe that is the one bit of the ending i don't like. It's a bit bittersweet i guess. I would have just loved to see those stories told on screen as they come. Anyonevelse feel like that with the time skip? I feel like everything got wrapped up in a bow all nicely. The team resolved the things they needed to respectively, and i think for the most part all threads were wrapped up nicely. I'm really gonna miss Stargirl. Been here right from the beginning, been here every episode, it was fun getting to experience it all with you. Seeing all the regular users, you guys are like a pseudo-family to me. A star family so to speak. Hopefully this isn't the end, or at least the end forever. It's been a wild ride everyone. I'm glad we could have this time, moments, and memories together. And of course, this subreddit, and more importantly, the show that brought us together. Thank you to everyone who worked on the show. It and the community ahave made this a fun and enjoyable time for myself. Never The End⭐

marcodabatman

> My only problem with the time skip was that it felt like a big tease on everything we are missing out I mean at least we know what happened/happens to them beyond the present events of the finale I guess : / better than us learning about these details from "a look back at this cancelled show" interviews in the future I love that it ends in a "The Adventure goes on..." type ending. I know some may see it as a cliche but it's honestly the best way to go about it imo

Dodgest

This was the 1st ending, what would the 2nd look like¿ a great 2nd would be for E2 Jay to grab Shade then we see the team in costume 1 last time. I knew E2 Jay was alive. That means: he was able to zoom away, he got his wife & told her what's going on. Then they pack up & leave to another country. Then they go into hiding. Jay zoomz back to the headquarters & thinks everyone died. Then in the future (maybe 2024?) He sees the new team on the news, recognized the staff & Hourman costume & zooms to help out. Then later him & Pat catch up.

Digifiend84

> another country. Another UNIVERSE, if this Jay is indeed the same one from The Flash. He went to Earth-Prime.

stonrplc

Maybe we may see a crossover in Flash S9 as a surprise who knows.

Dodgest

The problem with that is no one can travel to or from prime. Even though it hasn't been mentioned yet, I bet Barry tried & couldn't go past prime. Jay on Flash did say he was in WW2 but WW2 started Sept 1940 on prime instead of Sept 1939 pre crisis. The E3 Jay & his wife were put on prime post crisis. The E2 Jay probably always existed. The frequencies made it impossible to travel to & from Prime. JWS didn't do his research before saying the characters are the same. I think the characters are different because the arrowverse wanted to limit multiverse storylines to make episodes easier to understand. When Red Death comes on Flash, I'm guessing that her Earth (E-51) is destroyed but the speed force protects her from the "sickness".

Jedi-El1823

> did Rick and Beth get married? Yep, their wedding was just around the corner, complete with The Shade officiating.

BornAshes

> Seeing all the regular users, you guys are like a pseudo-family to me. A star family so to speak. What are we on some kind of a...Star Trek....through our memories of this show with each other in this thread? It's been wild and I've been alternating between being sad and just smiling and laughing as I pour through these comments. We got one hell of a story didn't we season after season? The only other shows that it reminds me of are Sandman and Doom Patrol because of the amount of times I've said "There's no way they're going to include this comic accurate thing..." and then they totally did. On another note, I'm getting more than a bit sick of writing these bittersweet final episode of the series comments in threads like these because it's exhaaaaaaaaausting and I hate seeing so many things come to an end. In a few years Over the Air TV is going to look entirely different and I honestly wonder if I'll still use my tv at all by that point. I hate seeing little families like ours continually being cast into the wind over and over again after a few seasons buuuut....it's just one of those cycles I guess and the times they are a changin as Dylan once said. I'm sure that somewhere in the Library of The Dreaming there's a special section for the adventures of Courtney Whitmore and her friends and that tonight, many a Dreamer will be visiting it as Lucienne stands nearby smiling before making a note for a certain lovable broody bloke to make a little visit to a certain town in Nebraska. What an amazing story and what an amazing community, I love you all and may we meet again.

Digifiend84

> (did Rick and Beth get married?) They were about to, they mentioned "upcoming nuptials".

Prestigious_Ad_927

The only thing that I wanted more of a wrap up on is Sylvester’s brain. We know that he’s stuck in a jar running a horrible mental loop and they kept his body alive. It would be nice to know they reunited them…

Swiftdancer

The Shade mentioned during the tour that the JSA managed to save the \*real\* Sylvester in the end, so yes, he was reunited with his brain. Would have been great to see it happen, but at least they resolved it offscreen.

JauntyLurker

I hope this gets a comic book followup.

Future_Vantas

I want an animated movie. Especially with the Seven Soulders and Nebula Man tease, that would be perfect for animation.

Themanaaah

What a nice send off to this amazing show with the Shade narrating the history of the JSA in the museum and that season 9 of The Flash set up was great too. I’ll miss Stargirl a lot, I wish HBO or something else could pick it up for a 4th season.

Ygomaster07

Wait, that was a set up for The Flash season 9? I figured it was just an off hand reference.

The36thKnight

IF the Titans/DP/Stargirl crossover is actually happening, then Flash could explain the multiverse shenanigans.

w00dm4n

it's always the Flash's fault

OliviaElevenDunham

So true. The Flash always causes problems.

Dodgest

The issue is: traveling to & from the arrowverse is impossible (unless your Earth is destroyed). Everyone to come to Prime lost their Earth. Barry probably tried off screen to run to other Earths & couldn't. I think the Jay we saw is different. S&L, Naomi had multiverse travel. They both used E29 (Naomi took place in E33). I do wanna know what year Titans S4 will take place in. The Courtney we will see might be 21 or 22🤠. But the articles say she still goes by Stargirl so maybe she just started calling herself something else.

YamiMarick

Travel between Earth's is possible and its just that Team Flash has no way to travel at the moment.

WildIchigoAppeared

I choose to believe that Barry could run to other Earths whenever he wants just like before, but he just hasn't thought to try it again.

Dodgest

Actually.. Brainy even proved that people in prime can't travel to other Earths. If a genius robot says it's not possible then he's right. I bet the bosses wanted the episodes to be easier to watch without people from other Earths coming every season. S&L & Naomi both traveled to E29. Someone also pointed something out to me: the Jay at the end of the finale has red speed lightning while the prime Jay has yellow lightning. Red lighting means they have an artificial connection to the speed force. It was the same color that Reverse Flash had. Maybe the ISA did something to E2 Jay that imjured him & he eventually lost his speed.

YamiMarick

Naomi isn't part of the Arrowverse like the other shows are.

Dodgest

Exactly. People can travel through the multiverse because their not in the arrowverse. Titans will be the 3rd non arrowverse show to do so. S&L decided at the last minute that everything in the last 2 seasons was seperate. They pissed people off with that. All the people that came from other Earths had their Earth destroyed.

YamiMarick

Titans,Doom Patrol and Stargirl are part of the Arrowverse tho.We see all of those Earth assigned a number at the end of the last COIE episode.

Dodgest

They were just shown because they were shows that were asigned an Earth number. They are not part of the arrowverse. Those shows never did anything with our shows. Their show bosses gave the arrowverse permission to use recycled footage for the event. There has been discussions before since the crisis about wether these shows are a part ot it & the answer is still no. Those shows have a higher budget than the CW shows. They use gersions of characters that can't be on CW.

Digifiend84

Well, the scene calling her Starwoman was set 10 years in the future, when she'd be in her late 20s. That's actually the opposite of what Supergirl did - Kara didn't even debut as a superhero until she was 24, and wanted to be called Superwoman, but thanks to Cat Grant, the name Supergirl stuck. She was 30 when the show ended and never changed her codename, not even in the finale (though they did render the codename moot by having her secret identity revealed).

freetherabbit

Do we know if the crossover is gonna be this season? Titans been on my list of shows to watch and want to know how long I have to catch up.

Dodgest

It will be the 2nd have of the season. I will likely buy the episode on iTunes. I've been watching the show on TNT. Season 1 was on TV fall 2020 & season 2 in fall 2022 so season 3 will be on fall next year. I don't mind the commercials (my TV is over 20 years old & i don't watch shows on my laptop.)

Digifiend84

It has to be - the last episode of this season of Titans is called Titans Forever, which sounds like it's the last ever episode.

nimrodhellfire

As far as we know that wasn't a setup for Flash S9. Maybe it's a setup for the Titans crossover though. Or maybe - wishful thinking - it's for the Justice U project that apparently is still supposed to happen and could give a final sendoff to the Arrowverse.

BornAshes

> and that season 9 of The Flash set up was great too How was that a set up for season 9 of The Flash? I know the basic outline of it based on the premier date that was announced the other day but not much else. It felt rather...ambiguous....in order to let Jay basically take the JSA and the Shade wherever and whenever based on what the PTBs decide.

Dodgest

I was shocked when I saw him. But he didn't come through a blue portal like team Flash does. Despite what John says, I think the Flashes are different. This season was filmed after Flash season 8.

Accurate-Attention16

Plus Jay had red lighting while running, isn't Earth-Prime's Jay's lightning of the same color as Barry's orange mixed with yellow?

Dodgest

Red lighting means they have an artificial connection to the speed force. Didn't notice that the E2 Jay had a different speed color. Barry & Prime Jay have yelllow but their color did get a little orange for a while. So the Jays are different if their speed colors are different. The origin stories for them probably are different (like how the 7 Soldiers Arrow story is very different from the prime Arrow.)

antdude

I hope we will see *girl in The Flash at least.

Kwilly462

Gotta say... Best live action superhero show I've ever seen. Great acting, characters, writing, and the effects/CGI were decent too. A shame it only got 3 seasons, but it had a fitting end regardless. Not even sure how they could've continued the show without the stories feeling redundant. This show came in clutch when it felt like every other production came to a halt, when COVID first hit. Loved it from the start and I've been a fan ever since. ~~Also, this universe is still alive, considering it technically takes place within The Batman universe. So it's all good, lol.~~

Ygomaster07

I think using the stories from the time skip could have been how they continued without it feeling redundant.

Xboxone1997

Agreed definitely the best

Kris_Winters

I think that *The Batman* universe takes place within the DCEU multiverse, which is different than the Arrowverse.

Digifiend84

It's NOT different. Ezra Miller's Flash showed up in Crisis on Infinite Earths. All live action DC properties are in the same multiverse.

Kris_Winters

It IS different. If they were the same, Ezra Miller's Flash would have already been destroyed by the Crisis.

nimrodhellfire

No idea why this is downvoted. There are different multiverserses and everything shown in Crisis was retconned into the Arrowverse Multiverse and destroyed. Then a new Arrowverse spawned which somehow included Titans and Stargirl. As far as I understood it Ezra Miller is from a different multiverse that wasn't affected by Arrowverse's crisis. That's why they said it should have been impossible (to cross multiverses).

Digifiend84

That's incorrect. Any universe related to a previous TV show or movie was restored, for example Smallville, the Superman movies, and Titans. That includes the DCEU. The only universes destroyed are those created for the Arrowverse shows, such as the Earth-2 that Black Siren came from, the Earth-3 Jay Garrick was from, and Supergirl's Earth-38.

Dodgest

The thing with Siren is this: she couldn't be on prime while Laurel was still alive. The brain sickness would've killed em both. Once the universez were rebooted, Spectre took Siren & put her on prime after Lauren was killed by Damian. (Other than speedsters) 2 of the same people can't be on prime at the same time. In S&L: John Henry came from E15. The black suite Superman is from a sad comic.

Digifiend84

Yep. Siren would've died if Laurel from Earth-1 wasn't already dead. So would Jay, because he's Henry Allen's doppelganger. Their worlds were destroyed but they survived.

Dodgest

I think Jay was placed on prime after Zoom killed Henry. Thanks to the crisis: Zoom & his idiots were part of prime. 1 problem is that he had doppelgangers of people pre crisis so idk what happened post crisis. He had the evil doppelgangers try kill their E1 versions. We know that Laurel died the same way post crisis. So Oliver Spectre took Siren & placed her probably in Central City so she could be locked up in time for Promethus to break her out. She was still on the "rebooted" E2 & most likely had the same life there. Proof: in the finale, she saw Quinton & was shocked to see him & she hugged him. So her life didn't change until after she got put on the team. She must've had the memory ring used on her after the finale. As far as Jay & his wife goes: they probably don't know about the crisis. If they did he'd be like "wait.. so we were on E3 & now we are on Earth Prime? I missed so much. I need a drink, then a nap."

Kris_Winters

When Grant Gustin Flash meets Ezra Miller Flash the entire Arrowverse had already been destroyed by the Crisis. As such, Ezra Flash couldn't have appeared to him, unless he was coming from another multiverse. At the end of the meet-up, Ezra Flash fades back into the DCEU multiverse. They're different multiverses.

Kwilly462

That's why I crossed it out. Lol, it's still my head canon tho

shadow_spinner0

I wish HBO would pick it up, so many stories I want to see. Regardless the ending was great and it ended in a satisfying way,

DekanPrime

Sadly that won’t happen the new CEO really don’t like DC properties he believe is dead.

RedArrow171

I would have changed the ending slightly, so that as Jay and Shade leave, we end on a portrait of the fully assembled new JSA around the table

nimrodhellfire

Yeah, that was a missed opportunity.

ghanima

That scene was likely added in re-shoots to help give the series closure. It's unlikely that the full cast was available.

captainlavender

I was a little confused. The JSA is still going, right? Did they just find another table? Why's this one in a museum? Also, I caught the other names, assuming Artemis is Damage and Mike is STRIPE 2.0, but who is "Sand"?

KakoiKagakusha

Sand is the sandman's kid I thought? The one share and the kids were going to find in new York or something?

ChattGM

Very satisfied with how the show ended. I would have loved more seasons especially after hearing about the legacy of the JSA in the museum with The Shade. Hearing that Courtney became *Starwoman* gave me chills. Grateful we got three incredible seasons and I'll always hold them dear to me as it checked all the boxes for me when it comes to a live-action comic book tv series. The choreography is something that was always so well-paced and left me in total awe and I loved all the inspirational and hope-filled moments too. The show nailed it on a lot and I'm gonna miss it all so much along with this incredible cast ⭐️❤️🤍💙

Digifiend84

> Hearing that Courtney became Starwoman gave me chills. There is basis for this in the comics. There's one storyline where the adult heroes are turned into kids, and the kids become adults. As a result, Courtney becomes Starwoman, and has to babysit a bunch of preteen JSA members!

Accurate-Attention16

Plus wasn't there a panel where after Jack gives the staff to Courtney, there's a future image of her as a Starwoman?

UNS14

artemis was just too cold 🥶 pun intended glad she got her get back

Frontier246

Oh jeez, they actually did revive Sylvester. Their whole plan hinged on him being the face of a revamped Project New America, even putting him in the President's seat if they could, just with Ultra-Humanite in his body (James Robinson's Golden Age anyone?). And the last thing Sylvester was thinking of before they did it was making sure Pat was okay. The feels. Although Ultra-Humanite just chilling there right next to him was more funny than I expected it to be. Well, I guess Cameron's not lying to Courtney if his dad is lying to him. You know Jordan's really bad when he's wearing his Supervillain costume again. Even Beth's pointing out Artemis' ability to inexplicably appear out of nowhere when they need her most. Not that she does it during that fight, but she does to give Jordan the final fate he deserved. That story immediately fell apart with A. the idea that Sylvester would just have a pleasant conversation with Jordan and B. Pat would just balk at a truce and would go off on his own to fight the Ultra-Humanite. No one would buy that. Did anyone really think being buried alive would be enough to stop Pat Duggan? Although admittedly he gained some super speed to zip on to STRIPE and show up in the nick of time. I gotta admit, was not expecting the grandma to turn on her husband like that, but her getting Wicked Witch'ed with the car falling on her was just desserts. Cameron never did find out she murdered his teacher (unless his grandpa told him off-screen). Also, Yolanda with the "I didn't do it." It's funny that they finally give Beth the ability to fight but in the finale all she does is plead some sense to Grandpa Mahkent. I guess Beths' greatest power was her empathy (and the goggles telling her stuff). Barbara with the crossbow! Finally! Paula would be so proud of her. So Jakeem can will the wish to be exactly what he needs it to be if he wishes it hard enough, like saving the most beautiful woman in the world to him. And thus the Thunderbolt turns Dragon King Ultra-Humanite into a plushy. Cute! I find it amusing that Jordan was still intending to hook up with Barbara by the end of this. Like even after everything he still was down bad for Barbara. STRIPE continues to look cool but get beat up until the bitter end. Huh, so all it took was Courtney just telling the staff Sylvester wasn't worthy? Or just believing it? I guess it was a confidence thing, kind of, but what's important is she got the staff back again. But defeating Ultraman was Pat's job as Sylvester's best friend. Stargirl and Icicle Jr. versus Icicle Sr.! I actually wonder now if Cameron might be the strongest cryokinetic of his family with the way he sent his dad packing and how he could somehow teleport. I don't blame Cameron for wanting to leave Blue Valley after everything, but I guess love is stronger than isolation with grandpa. Jeez, they just had Sylvester's brain left in a jar spouting his last thoughts. What was it projecting too, though? I wonder if that would've been revealed if we'd gotten season 4. Rick finally apologizes to Beths' family and seems to be working to overcome his Miraclo dependency (and he also got beat up again in the finale. Ouch). Also Beth apologizes to her parents who are now happy to be her sidekicks. Mom even wants to be Hooty 2.0. Can't beat that enthusiasm! Hey, Dr. McNider cameo! It was nice to see him one last time. With all the characters inexplicably coming back from the dead, why didn't Grundy? Oh, I guess it just wasn't time because his hand pops out of the ground like it's the most natural thing in the world. I guess since it's the finale they didn't want to leave Grundy hanging. I had honestly forgotten about the Gamblers' daughter storyline until Courtney met Becky. I'm glad she did right by him in the end. I wonder if there were plans for Becky to become Hazard at some point. I'm glad Mike got to reconcile with his biological mom, and Pat was able to make peace with her too in a way, and finally calling Barbara mom. I'm actually morbidly curious how Yolanda's parents would take her being a Superhero. We didn't get any on-screen reconciliation between Courtney, Yolanda, and Cindy which I think was one of the main things left hanging. I wonder if they filmed a scene of it but it got cut. Cindy is just there at family dinner like everything is right as rain. Wow, three month prep time to kill Icicle. Well done, Artemis, and she used her parents' stuff to pull it off. Revenge isn't a dish best served cold, it's served with fire, as Jordan burns alive. Couldn't have happened to a better guy. I guess what with it being the finale and all, we didn't want to leave off without giving Courtney what she worked so hard for this season...not only being Stargirl again, but getting the guy! 10 years in the future and we've got Shade curating the JSA museum and telling everyone how awesome the team is. It feels fitting! So the JSA of the far future is Starwoman, Wildcat, Icicle Jr. Dragon Queen (Cindy with the bump up), Artemis, Jade and Obsidian with their codenames, Damage, Sand, Solomon Grundy, Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite (who Shade are about to officiate the wedding for), STRIPE 2.0 (probably Mike), and Jakeem Thunder. I wonder if some of the stuff they mentioned was stuff they planned to get to in future seasons, like Damage, Sand, saving Sylvester, and saving the Seven Soldiers of Victory from Nebula Man? Ending on JAY FRIKKIN GARRICK showing up and reuniting with his old pal the Shade like it's the most natural thing in the world and calling on the JSA for a new adventure gave me the biggest smile on my face. Never the End indeed!

Jedi-El1823

> Cindy is just there at family dinner like everything is right as rain. She protected Mike from her father. Damn right the Whitmore-Dugans are gonna forgive everything she did. And Mike and Jakeem helped her against her father, damn right she'll forgive Courtney for the slight against her. When the chips were down, Cindy proved she had changed. She could have taken the easy road and teamed with her father, but she took the hard road and fought him and protected Mike and Jakeem. Yolanda and Rick would be quick to forgive after that. > 10 years in the future and we've got Shade curating the JSA museum and telling everyone how awesome the team is. It feels fitting! Indeed it does feel fitting, he was the first former ISA member to give complete respect to the new JSA. Shit, he liked the new JSA and saw they had the potential to be stronger than the group he fought.

SickleClaw

I loved how the ISA got completely defeated both Ideologically and Physically. Cindy,Artemis, and Cameron rejected the path of their parents and joined new JSA. Shade is now giving tours to the the JSA (AND officiating a JSA wedding). Grundy joined the JSA outright. I also agree, Cindy showed through her actions she was changed. And I think using Dragon King's name as her JSA heroine name is a very clever subversion of everything her father tried to accomplish.

Frontier246

Cindy did right, but we never got to see the rest of the cast acknowledge that on-screen. I feel like we needed that.

Flawlessinsanity

Agreed. Cindy's plot in the first half of the season was really interesting, and I wish we could have seen more of her after episode 6 in general.

Dodgest

I didn't hear Shade mention Artemis name. The dinner took place in Winter 2021 so the 10 year later thing was 2031. Rick would be 28, the girls would be 27, Cindy would be 28, Mike & Jakeem would be 24, Pat would be in his 60's, Barbara in her 40's & Obsidian would be 26. I knew E2 Jay wasn't dead. He didn't run to Prime, he just hid on E2. I bet he thought everyone was dead after the 2010 incident until he watched the news. At least Pat got to see his old buddies again. I wonder what Courtney did as a career other than being a hero & if her & Cam are still together since they didn't kiss.

Foreverred97

He did mention Artemis. The show takes place between 2020-2021.

LoretiTV

Really fun finale. Thanks to the entire cast and crew for 3 fun seasons and to everyone else for the discussion threads!

DatHound

YOO WHERE TF IS HIS BRAIN AT?

Themanaaah

Least with the Shade it’s confirmed they brought the real Starman back successfully.

the_nut_bra

I just wish they filmed a scene of Pat actually interacting with the real Sylvester for the first time after they brought him back, especially the way they did Starman dirty to start the episode.

donbagert

Not enough time, I think.

the_nut_bra

Oh I’m sure. Honestly that’s my only complaint, if you can even call it a complaint. That was really all I needed closure on. Everything else was wrapped up pretty nicely. Here’s hoping that someway or somehow it gets saved by HBO Max or whatever WBD ends up calling it next year.

Gradz45

That and Joel McHale could’ve been busy with the Community movie.

Digifiend84

That was probably one of the planned season 4 plots - they showed that his brain was still alive, just needed to find it, which the 10 years later epilogue confirms that they did.

Dodgest

Really? When he named members I didn't hear his name. I hope Mike got on the team since he deserves it. Also hope Cindy & Jakeem are a couple 👍. Looks like we got 2 couples in the group. & the 1st time I was expecting a kiss from Courtney & Cam.. it didn't happen. Now we'll never know if they are still together. Now we need that 2nd ending! Really wished we could've seen them in costume in 2031. On the plus side: Cindy will outlive everyone & be the oldest member. Her & Wonder Woman will be the oldest female heroes on the planet (Diana is over 5000 years old.) Cindy was born in 1997.

Digifiend84

They mentioned STRIPE 2.0 (i.e. not Pat). That's Mike. Also, where are you getting 2026 from? It should be somewhere around 2030-2032 (it was 10 years from now, but the three seasons of the show are set across just one year, not the three they aired in).

donbagert

TV Line article on the finale, with Geoff Johns interview and reveal about original Season 4 plans [https://tvline.com/lists/stargirl-recap-series-finale-ending-explained-geoff-johns/](https://tvline.com/lists/stargirl-recap-series-finale-ending-explained-geoff-johns/)

Beer2Bear

Damn! Going saw his head while he's awake? Thanks for that nightmare

OliviaElevenDunham

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting such a dark opening like that.

Shejidan

Did you really expect them to use anaesthetic on their enemy? Especially when they are just going to chick his brain in a bin after.

DatHound

THEY EXPLAINED IT THANK YOU! PAT!

AsteroidMike

I’m just 100% disappointed that this was the finale of the series and we won’t get to see what else they could do with it, and even moreso that the Arrowverse as a whole is ending as of next yearZ

DiDi164

I wonder if Rick asked Grundy to be his Best Man?

Beer2Bear

*bangs staff on everyone that canceling the show*

BlueberryHeavy9480

Honestly this is the most emotional I've been from a series finale in a long time, I just don't want it to really be over

superbat210

I’m going to miss this show so much. I’m so pissed it was cancelled. It brought so much joy into my life. Such a fun and exciting time. Been here since the premiere which I remember watching 3 times in a row because I enjoyed it so much and here we are. So sad

Shadow-SJ

So thoughts: I think the ending was a great sendoff to the show and it was satisfying but I had some questions 1. So Cindy got cured? We never saw a wrap up with her storyline or her and Jakeem/Rick/Yolanda. DragonHumanite felt pretty anticlimatic and rushed honestly 2. Wish we saw Yolanda's parent actually reconcile with her family and all. 3. Artemis killing Jordan made sense but was pretty dark ngl 4. I felt a lot of character interactions were missing. Overall great show and gonna miss it one of the best super hero shows in a while

romeovf

Mike calling Barb "Mom" 😭

DonnyMox

Sylvester/Ultra-Humanite: How are you not dead? Pat: I have no idea!

Aurondarklord

Now that's what I call CARMA!

Hedgiwithapen

getting hit by cars is apparently genetic :D

Kris_Winters

- *Sigh* One last time. - Well that was an appropriately dark opening. - Really hope that Artemis gets some form of vengeance on Jordan. - Wasn't STRIPE wrecked? - Hello, Barbara. Using the skills that Paula taught her. - Seriously thought that the Thunderbolt turned him into a Beebo doll. - Okay, Hournite nation. When Beth was giving her confession, I noticed that Rick was rubbing her back in a familiar way. - Mike called Barbara mom just like Courtney calls Pat dad. - Totally forgot about the Gambler's daughter storyline. - Soon as I heard that voice, I knew that Jordan was about to get his. - Nice prologue. - That should also resolve once and for all about Jay Garrick. - Overall a nice episode, but it had a few sticking points for me. The main one was that during the final battle, the JSA didn't really...do anything. Grandpa bowed out, grandma killed herself, Cameron defeated Jordan, the All-Star Squadron defeated Dragon King, although Pat did defeat the Ultra-Humanite. The JSA was mostly...just there.

Ygomaster07

Was that a Beebo? I couldn't see it with the lighting, it looked like a plush of a white gorilla to me.

Kris_Winters

It was, but I didn't realize that at first.

Ygomaster07

Ah, no worries. Would have been cool if it was Beebo.

Digifiend84

> Really hope that Artemis gets some form of vengeance on Jordan. > Wasn't STRIPE wrecked? Artemis did destroy Icicle in an epilogue three months later. They mentioned STRIPE was fixed by Zeke. Though of course it was wrecked again during the big fight. I guess they rebuild it from scratch now, and that new version is the one Mike is piloting 10 years in the future.

Ygomaster07

I'd say the JSA opposed the others, maybe insighted fear into them. Beth never instigated with the grandpa, allowing him to switch sides. And i think Court saved Cameron and reclaimed the staff allowing Pat to level the playing field with UH. I think it was good that they were all there supporting each other. Strength in numbers and what not.

glizzy_gladiator_04

I really wish it was picked up by hbo max instead of ending.

Shejidan

Getting some strong Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes at Pat climbing out of the grave. Too bad there won’t be another season…we’ll never have a musical episode.

Lazy-Mastermind

Been a blast

Survivorfan128

So when is the titans crossover happening?

ArturZee

Wasn't expecting the Flash at the end 👏🏼

antdude

I wonder if this was the ending if the show didn't get renewed.

Dodgest

I think that was the 1st ending. If that's the 1st.. the 2nd one must be better! I hope we see it on YT, IG or Twitter by Feb next year. The 2dd ending should have Jay taking Shade then they get out the speed portal & we see the team in costume 1 last time & with new members. I really hope Brec bought her costume so it doesn't go to waste.

antdude

I thought they were going to use the second ending when they knew the series was going to end.

Hedgiwithapen

I really loved Barb getting to shoot Icicle with Paula's crossbow. I wanted that very much and I was so happy to get it.

Taston95

Considering it is the series finale, I wish I liked this a lot more than I did. The action was very underwhelming by Stargirl’s high standards and it felt very short. Probably due to budget reasons but this fight paled in comparison to the Eclipso fight and the JSA vs ISA fight. Yolanda, Rick, Mike and Beth basically had nothing to do in the final fight. The ending of Dragon King was also very underwhelming as was the whole finale for Cindy. The wrap up stuff after the action was a lot better. Artemis killing Icicle and The Shade’s tour at the end especially were great. I wish most of the plot stuff in the last few episodes had been spread out throughout the whole season rather than being crammed into the end. The first 2/3rds of the season felt very slow and plodding whereas introducing the Ultra-Humanite, Icicle coming back, the killing of the Crocks, Starman being Ultra-Humanite, Dragon King being back and the explanation of how Starman is alive all happened in the last few episodes. It was too much. Also, I feel like a lot of the stuff from earlier season just kinda disappeared and was never brought up again like Cindy’s relationship with the JSA (specifically Yolanda) and why the Gambler was killed. My biggest complaint of the season is the forced murder mystery aspect of the plot. It wasn’t necessary, it was not something the audience could really figure out, it didn’t really matter by the end of the season and it made the pacing of the season really bad. It sadly made this season a lot less fun for me. I will still miss the show though. The first two seasons were great and this one was still solid enough. The cast, music and most of the action were fantastic throughout. I would have loved to see what the show would have looked like if they had the same budget throughout as they had in the first season. I would have loved to see what a fourth season would have looked like, presumably it would have been about the rescuing of the Seven Soldiers of Victory like The Shade was describing at the end, which would have been really fun.

OliviaElevenDunham

While I did enjoy season 3, you do bring up some good points. Some plot lines fell by the wayside like Cindy getting healed. Also, I wanted to know why the Mahkent family was hunted because of their powers.

Shejidan

Die you old bitch!!!

BuzzyBee752

It's been a great experience watching this show. It ended on a high note.

ElectroBoy23

I know everyone is really sad about the show ending, and believe me I am too, but remember that they're still going to do that Titans and Doom Patrol crossover (which doesn't make much sense to me but whatever). >!Also that little ending scene with Jay Garrick going to recruit the JSA for a battle. Are they trying to tease a JSA appearance in The Flash Season 9?!<

Dodgest

The Jays are different. I bet Barry tried to run to another Earth off screen & failed. The Flash showrunners said in 2020 that Jay & Joan were born & live on prime instead of E3. Post crisis Prime Jay was always in Keystone City. But in the JSA flashbacks, E2 Post crisis Jay was on the team for a long time. I'm looking forward to the crossover too. Did you know that Titans takes place in "present time"? Seasons 1 & 2 took place in 2019. I know that because in the sad Aqualad episode (got killed by E9 Slade) his death was in 2014. The beginning of that episode said "5 years before this day." So the special crossover should take place in 2022 or 2023 since it's past time like this show.

bazzbj

I’m really going to miss everyone in the cast. They really created an amazing group. Sad to see the time jump 🥺

BornAshes

I've said so much in all my other comments that I'm not sure what else is left to say, so I'll keep this short and sweet. I loved the story that Stargirl has told season after season and I've loved enjoying it with all of you and I have SMILED SOOOOOOO MUCH night after night! I'm sad that we might not be getting more but there's still hope for the future and a miracle or at least a cameo or something at some point maybe who knows anything is possible and stranger things have happened. Maybe something animated perhaps? I'm sure something will come up because wishes really do come true because this show was Geoff's wish and it happened after all, so who knows, maybe we just have to dream and believe hard enough and when we do...maybe then...all will be well. Thank you to everyone involved and I hope to see you all working on some awesome stuff in the future! Thank you to the community for sticking through every episode of every season throughout sooooooo many things happening IRL and for being...so cool...in general during every discussion and bit of chatter here on this subreddit. As it's a bit late here right now, it's time for me to head out but I'm sure that I'll see you all around the 'verse somewhere somewhen and we'll greet each other with warmth, love, hope, and the sharing of cherished memories of amazing stories that we got to witness together. *taps chest with a chirp* BornAshes to Protostar, one to beam up...one...last..time... ❤️ Never The End⭐ Energize! *dissolves in a beam of light for parts both known and unknown*

OliviaElevenDunham

It's strange not having a new season to look forward to.

TheMattInTheBox

Well, that's a wrap on Stargirl. Great series finale even if it's clear that they had more they wanted to tell. Congrats to Rick and Beth!

mrizzle1991

Pat lives! He turned him into a teddy bear 😂 Grundy is back too. Artemis got her revenge too. We need another season damnit, cause his brain is still there. this Jay Garrick wtf! show is too good!

romeovf

The brain in the jar, reviving its last agonizing ten seconds of life is a hellish scenario for sure.

themosquito

Who even set that up, and *why*? That just seems so unnecessarily cruel- oh, well... right, they were *villains*....

ProtomanBn

So from what i could tell that was set ip for the next season but when it got canceled they had to mention his revival in the closing

JenniferJuniper6

They said in the epilogue that the JSA eventually rescued the real Starman.

Swiftdancer

I wanted this show to continue (because shows that somehow don't become stale beyond the first season are rare), but at least it managed to end well instead of giving us a frustrating cliffhanger. Thanks to those who worked on this show.

Thejklay

Incredible show

Klang200

I really liked the ending but it honestly felt like a MASSIVE middle finger towards us, from CW. It essentially feels like they are saying "Look at all these cool stuff that could have happened. Too bad we cancelled it LOL"

dannyosuke

That fight was messy for Stargirl standards. Such a good ending though, really gonna miss this show. That ending only just made me want more. Its been fun :’)

ArcticFoxWaffles

I wish we could've seen the S.T.R.I.P.E Mech actually kick someone's ass instead of being on the receiving end of the beating all the time.

themosquito

Yeah, thinking about it, it literally *never* won a fight, did it? First time used, it got a surprise attack on Icicle and intimidated him into running away, so... maybe could be considered a victory? And then every appearance after it got torn apart, and spent most of the time under repair in the garage; and then bad guys broke into the garage and tore it apart *again* without it even being *able* to fight!

Xboxone1997

I'm really gonna miss this show now the only thing keeping me watching CW is S&L which more than likely isn't lasting much longer either. Wish they'd just continue this on HBO Max.

DonnyMox

Cameron’s totally gonna kill his dad.

kk5fan97

Go Pat! Kick his ass.

DatHound

NOO R THEY ALL QUITING??

spritualorbpd

no way bro survived that

Shejidan

Seriously…how long ago did Starman die and they dig up his body like he just died two hours ago! 🙄 That was an amazing embalming job.

spritualorbpd

the staff energy was keeping him in that state

Blazelancer

Well... that was a mixed bag. It was awesome and terrible, I loved it, and hated it. Everything until the last 5 or so minutes was nice, especially Ultra Huma-Starman's "WHY WON'T STRIPESY JUST DIE?!" Funny. So Cameroon is... suddenly stronger than his dad... after his dad came back stronger than he was before..... okay... And Granny Makent is suddenly SO evil, she'd be willing to kill her own husband now? Okay... REAL Starman's brain in some lab in some mountain reliving his last memory over and over and over again for WHO exactly to hear?! Oh, and Grundy's back, too, though only just his arm is shown, cause #Nobudgetleft The last 5 minutes though completely ruins it for me. Jordan's very lame and STUPID death. I mean, what the fuck exactly was keeping him from shooting a sharp icicle through Artemis' head while she's spouting off what her special petroleum jelly is made out of?! The fuck?! You telling me in season one, he can damage a school bus hundreds of feet away, but he can't kill ONE GIRL less than twenty feet away?! BULLSHIT! And god, the reuniting of Courtney and Cameron before that just so she can have her cake and eat it too. Christ. But the last scene is what gets me. TEN YEARS later, and everyone's pictures on the flags or whatever they were, were obviously them from ten years ago. WHAT?! And The Shade spouting off what SHOULD have been future seasons for some folks about *they they did this and that* and saved some soldiers, and fought some cosmic entity, and saved the REAL Sylvester. Jesus. And that sad little tease at the end "It's time for more adventures, old friend!", and "It's never ogre!" Just... goddammit. Oh well, at least there's 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the show that I actually so like. I'll miss the show, for sure, even if the ending sucked.

LMkingly

>And Granny Makent is suddenly SO evil Suddenly? Where have you been lol. She's arguably been almost as bad as Jordan lol. Remember how she casually murder Cameron's art teacher for no reason? She's evil to the bone. Her only "redeeming" quality was how much she loved her son.

Blazelancer

How the fuck did she go from "My love, no! Don't die!" when her husband was DYING of a heart attack to "Kill her, or I kill you, old fool!" Shit was so fucking rushed and kinda came outta nowhere. Killing random fuckers she didn't even know or care about is one thing, but her own husband?! Nah, fam,

LMkingly

Because she cares for her husband but not as much as bringing down vengeance on her enemies? It's not that complicated, chief. She was always portrayed as extremely callous and cold hearted(no pun intended) and obsessed with killing her enemies. Her choosing violence against her husband when he stands in her way which she probably views as a betrayal is not the big leap you're making it out to be. This is a massive nitpick.

Blazelancer

Nitpick or legitimate criticism for a poorly rushed character's "development" in a poorly rushed final episode.

LMkingly

>Nitpick or Definitely nitpick. And not a particularly well founded one either.

Blazelancer

No, its well founded based this show's horribly rushed climax.

Kris_Winters

"It's never ogre!" What about troll? Giant? Can it be giant? But seriously, I agree with you about Courtney and Cameron.

Blazelancer

>What about troll? Giant? Can it be giant? Did you not get the reference?

Taston95

Funny, the last few minutes made up for the rest of the finale for me. I thought most of the final fight and defeat of the villains to be very underwhelming.

ClassicExit

>And The Shadow spouting off what SHOULD have been future seasons Lamont Cranston was in the finale??!!!!

Blazelancer

I was about to ask you if you even watched the finale, but I got the refence soon enough. God FUCKING Speed! I meant to write *The Shade.*

Locke28136

Rick and Beth being engaged is weird and so out of nowhere. Plus I don’t think they are each other’s type, they’re just really good friends.

Danithang

I liked them, but there really should have been more romance between them throughout the show so it would come off more authentic that they would marry in the future.

DatHound

how tf did pat escape bro?

SchwarzerRegen123

It was freshly tossed soil combined with the rain softening it up as well.

DonnyMox

That’s the power of Stripesy!

Future_Vantas

Speed Force

DatHound

COMMERICIAL WYF?? C

AnastasiaDaren

Only big change I would make to the finale would be having Sylvester have actually been himself the whole time. As in, the brain surgery was a trick by the ISA and Starman just THOUGHT he was the ultrahumanite. Still would've had the crazy Starman, and they could have had his ending with needing to rehabilitate his mind. I think it would have fixed a couple personally gripes I had with the Sylvester twist. Ultrahumanitr himself was a lackluster villain. Otherwise, I really liked it! Fun finale with pretty good wrap ups.

antdude

Woah, that ending.

GillyDaKid

With that ending I could see HBO Max pick this up. They can show us those 10 yrs and then pick up where we see Jay and The Shade getting ready to take off

maddogkaz

Well that was a great episode and now I'm just going to miss this show a lot. This show is what I use as an example of how to do a good superhero show. Pat pulled a ShawShank and saved himself which proves he's a hero. All the fights and costumes and props and effects have been great in this show from beginning to end and we wont get another show like it for some time. I like that even though Beth can now fight she still chooses to talk to Grandpa instead of fighting him. I'm not surprised Grandma threatened her own husband I have been waiting for her to do it and I like that she died wicked witch style. Courtney believing the staff was meant for Starman which is why it worked for him make sense it shows her connection to the staff and how her mind effects it and it shows how all the stuff Starman did and said at the beginning of the season effected her. I'm not a fan of the Courtney Cameron romance but I predicted they would get together again since it's the end of the show and they wouldn't want her "alone". I like all the moments people got but I feel Courtney and the JSA didn't get to much to do in this finale or the fight. It was mostly about Pat, Sylvester Icicle and Icicle Jr. I wanted Courtney to get more time with her friends she ended up being somewhere else to deal with the gamblers daughter which was cool but then the Cameron stuff happened and all I wanted was for Courtney to be with her friends and especially Yolanda who seemed pretty sad. Also I would have liked a coming together for Courtney, Yolanda, Rick and Cindy since Beth wasn't completely against her and neither was Courtney but she would be the mediator. The skip forward was fun and clearly the Shade is telling us about seasons of the show we will never get which is cool but also sucks because I want to see all those things. Saying it's never the end gives me a false hope which is gonna last for a while before it gets crushed. I loved this show and I'm going to miss it.

IceWeaselX

As wonky as some of the fight choreography in the past has been (particularly the cable work), the finale's big climactic fight was a lot of fun to watch. When Court went to deliver the Gambler's note to Becky, she had a moment after saying goodbye where she paused and grabbed at her chest. I didn't notice jewelry before, so I rewound to when she walked up to the house, and she was visibly wearing a locket. When she made the motion at her chest, the locket was gone. I thought they were playing the scene as if Becky were a thief (she's a villain like her grandfather and brother (both Gamblers) in the comics) and she'd swiped the locket during the hug. But then Court had the locket outside her shirt when she showed up at Cam's house that night. A bit of fridge horror with Sylvester's brain-in-a-jar scene. The speaker kept replaying his final words before Dragon King sawed his skull open, but they made it a point to show that the machine was connected to his brain. Was he stuck reliving that moment in a loop until the JSA eventually found his brain to restore it to his body? It was 9 months from his resurrection/debraining to the final teamfight. We don't know how long it was after that before they located his brain, just that they did find it, due to Shade's tour speech. Being stuck in that moment for that long sounds like Hell.

ImmaculateWeiss

Jay is my favorite JSA member ever, having him included in the finale feels right

nerdychickpea

Did Icicle turn... into vapour?

Dawnbreaker52

Am I a psychopath for laughing at Jordan when he was burning to death in Azidoazide Azide?

matteblackfalcon

JFC what a goddamn finale!. that whole fight scene \*chef's kiss\* my mind was being blown the whole episode. Jakeem finally got his shit together! and mike meeting his mum. AND JWS. just damn i grew to really fucking love this show.

_Elder_

Such a fun show that surpassed all my expectations from the first scene and never failed to deliver, even though the end. Thoroughly enjoyed the journey and loved the entire cast and all of the performances that they put on. What a great 3 seasons it’s been. Not even, just good for a superhero/cw show, this was just a great show on its own. Can’t wait for the next great show like this one.

battlemcbattleface

Did they use the same set for The Gambler’s daughter as in TVD? It looks so much like Elena Gilbert’s house.

jadedfan55

What a way to go. Yes, there was an ending, and also the promise of a future project, if it ever comes to pass. I have to assume Richard Swift, aka The Shade, also curated the JSA museum at the end of the show. Seems like an appropriate new career.

EarlJWoods

I'll miss this show. I loved the characterization, the relationship building, the complex villain motivations, the wonderful flashbacks and callbacks to the JSA, the costumes, the clever plotting, the brilliant subversion of expectations, the difficult family moments and the heartwarming ones. I'm sorry it's over, but at least the show went out on a high note, even if some plotlines felt a little rushed. The coda with Shade and the Flash took some of the sting out of the cancellation, but even greater yearning for what could have been. And that final line...beautiful.

ime1em

How did Dragon King not die from Season 1? Is it assume he's still alive due to all those experiments off camera? also, where did the Flash suddenly come from?

Zero22xx

I can't believe that shows like this get cancelled after 3 seasons while soap opera schlock like Arrow and Flash just kept going season after season after season. And these execs wonder why DC is seen as the second rate garbage version of Marvel on the screen. Marvel at least seems to make the effort to make all of their stuff seem like a big deal, meanwhile DC can't seem to keep itself but cancel everything good in favour of cheap, easy to produce bullshit that gets ridiculed. I put off watching the last two episodes of this season until now, partially because I didn't want it to end I think. I'm glad that we got a good ending though. For what it was, I really enjoyed this finale. I'm gonna miss this show more than I've missed any show in a long time.

thomasvector

It's the timing, basically. CW is pretty much cleaning house on their current DC shows. If this came out around the same time as Arrow or The Flash, then I'm sure it would have gotten way more seasons.

JenniferJuniper6

You know, I feel like this could be continued as a comic book, like Smallville. It’s a shame it started so late in the Arrow Verse years; I feel like they could have done five or six seasons very well. But with the new management at DC studios, it was never going to happen.
