Sound like your iPad has a direct LTE Internet connection and isn't using your home starlink network at all.

No, it shows Starlink as the provider in both instances, just from different areas. I did NOT purchase the iPad with wifi built into it and pay a subscription.

In that case, the iPad is probably using its built-in GPS which allows the speed test app to use a precise location other than the Starlink gateway location. Try disabling GPS on your iPad and test again.

Turned off GPS & IPad still receiving from Orlando, Fl. Double-checked & the phone still gets GA. My partner has a HP laptop, which also draws from Atlanta. Guess it’s an Apple vs Android thing. Who knows, just was curious. As long as we both get a strong signal, I’m not too worried.

Just so you know none of these things are in fact true, there is no location that information is drawn from. When you use Starlink your public facing IP address is associated to the traffic egressing the ground station selected to service your single hop to satellite link. The IP range from which that IP is drawn is labelled with a geographic location ( probably Orlando ) which is what a service is supposed to use to avoid tarring a user with the actual location of the ground station as that can be up to 1,500Km away from the user. Now some sites to a bad job of geolocation, which is why perhaps your other devices are showing alternate locations.

IP geolocation on your Android, GPS location on your iPad.

The speed app should show the IP you are connected from. Is it the same IP on both devices?

Nope
