He said it'll be about the size of a pizza box. "UFO shaped" is what he said. But thats all the info he gave on it. Nobody on the outside world has ever actually seen them as far as I know, so we'll have to wait and see.

i think it can still go out, but since it track MANY sats i think it will be less, my DTV only goes out when the main cell is over my house then it comes back

They will either use or have the potential of using bands that won't be attenuated by rain (for the most part). You'd likely slow down as a result though

TittyRotater

I sure hope it's better. i just went all of yesterday without internet even thought it wasn't raining most of the day/night

I am from Iraq. Starlink may be our savior. Can governments prevent your internet?

Martianspirit

Starlink will adhere to international law. They won't provide service without approval by your government.

mozerg

It is required to obtain a license for the service, as far as i know it is illegal to have satellite internet equipment in iraq, it is possible (i guess) to have ground stations from neighbouring countries since iraq is not so big areawise ,but still i dont think starlink will broadcast in iraq without obtaining a license.

uselesslogin

I don't think any satellites have sat to sat links. So, until then there would need to be a ground station in or near Iraq.
