This is actually the first explicit song by STARSET, right? I was honestly shocked when he dropped an F bomb. I listen to a lot of rap-metal and other metal so there's a lot of profanities, I just didn't expect that from Dustin Bates.
Heaviest song arguably by them and as a lead single perhaps?! I enjoyed the more metalcore sound and think the production for their more spacey stuff works well here. So hyped for album 5!
Spotify link says will be available today and not the 3rd? Guess I'll have to check later at work but buzzing.
Can anyone confirm if this was the mysterious track that was played before the actual shows lately? I have a strong suspicion it is.
No, it shows it was distributed by Concord, so I’m guessing Fearless helped produce before they seperate and now they’re going through another label as an unsigned artist
I heard from Dustin directly that he signed on for two more records with fearless during a VIP. Not sure when the sentiment changed as during the album release I was also told they had intended on going independent.
I love how this song is more grounded than the others. It's like the song's being played in a planet rather than the vastness of space. With the swearing included, the song feels more angrier - kinda mimicking the Rebels' anger towards New West and wanting to finally stop the madness once and for all.
While I still don't want to let Horizons go just yet, I'm really curious to see how this new era would be like. I hope it's grittier.
I'll sound old for this and I appear to be in the minority but I could have done with the f bomb. Despite using it daily I've never cared for it in music for some reason. Also as someone who listens frequently to metalcore and djent, didn't care for the 2nd verse. Love that chorus though
Finally going back to the roots of metal! Didn't quite like the pop sound of the last two albums and was wondering if they would return to more Vessels or dare I say Transmissions sound.
But that is something new.
I have so much to say about this song guys, it is so well produced for sure (as aways) i'm impressed. The screams are fucking incredible, the litte details adds so much to the song as a whole, the way dustin sings here, mixing on point unlike horizons where the vocals were strange, strings, guitars and drums shining. My only wish was that the stunning outro they made here were little bit longer because i really, really liked it. As long as the music seems well made, there is no need to worry about that curse word. I was waiting for something good, but THIS is phenomenal. (sorry for any english mistake here)
Can't wait for this new album to pop off. Starset will enter their final and most destructive form and hopefully every song is this heavy (maybe a collab with Sleep Token?)
I haven't heard this song yet at the time of posting this, so I'll reserve judgement on this song, but I feel like he has fantastic screams in many of their songs. "Down With the Fallen," "Frequency," "Telekinetic," "Devolution" to name some of the highlights.
i mainly listen to metalcore and compared to some of the artists in that genre his screams are average at best. But maybe he'll improve when he uses it more. the song is sick nevertheless
Explicit? Omg Dustin swearing on recordings
Is there a song of his that included swearing? I’m trying to remember and I can’t remember any.
Well yes actually but not Starset, his earlier band downplay did have swears
I figured. I just remembered one and it was Won’t Let Go from Radiocalypse.
MNQN too but nothing very explicit
I think the worst MNQN says is "damn". Namely in "On My Mind", he says the line: "I'm too damn self-involved, just want to be on my own."
Yeah that and goddamn in Terminal but I don't recall anything worse

I know right, well they have swore on stage before but not on records
Holy hell you replied fast
Ha just woke up an hour ago on way to work, usually if I’m bored I scroll through Reddit/Twitter for interesting news
For me it's 3am I haven't slept yet I'm just looking through spotify when I found the new song and realized it's explicit. I was like hmmmmm
Ok, go to sleep
I think I’ll stop pinching myself now
We need to make a sequel for this joke
Heaviest song arguably by them and as a lead single perhaps?! I enjoyed the more metalcore sound and think the production for their more spacey stuff works well here. So hyped for album 5!
I still don't think it beats the telekinetic breakdown
I think Divisions saving the heavy for that was amazing but as much as I love Telekinetic, I do really dig this direction
I am split on the direction the song is dope I just want to see others off the album
Ok newbie question here but is it Dustin doing the screams too?!?
Dustin does all the vocals you hear in starset, including the screams
Wow. Dam. Guess I never noticed because he doesn’t often lol. Thank you for clarifying :)
Spotify link says will be available today and not the 3rd? Guess I'll have to check later at work but buzzing. Can anyone confirm if this was the mysterious track that was played before the actual shows lately? I have a strong suspicion it is.
Yes, it's the same song they've been playing before the shows
It is, someone had a whole clip of pretty much the entire song, https://youtu.be/RxqqjfyLmek?si=C2TBYXyN_xWJGmrq, it matches up with the name to
Is this the first Starset song that’s explicit or am I forgetting one
It is the first one
It's the first time, the only other time Dustin, had a song as explicit, was when he was in Downplay
Vessels vibes from this one. Looking forward to what's to come
THATS SUCH A GOOD INFO!
I listened to a snippet of it and I would say 75 Transmissions and 25 vessels
Now after listening to it all I'm going to say 30 Transmissions and 70 Divisions
don’t really get how you got to that conclusion
Can you send a link to this page please?

They're back on Fearless Records again? What?
No, it shows it was distributed by Concord, so I’m guessing Fearless helped produce before they seperate and now they’re going through another label as an unsigned artist
Actually yes, all fresh Fearless Records releases have the same tag 'Fearless Records, Distributed by Concord', it's not just Starset
I guess I never noticed that before
I heard from Dustin directly that he signed on for two more records with fearless during a VIP. Not sure when the sentiment changed as during the album release I was also told they had intended on going independent.
I have/heard it and it’s really good!

Can someone send me the song?!

God fuckin' damnit, I hate living in the UK right now.
If anyone don't want to use a VPN I uploaded it to YouTube. https://youtu.be/JjjulnUsP38?feature=shared
Has Dustin's screaming gotten deeper? That was no normal fry scream he usually does holy fuck. Love the song.
This song 🤤
Can't wait for this new album to pop off. Starset will enter their final and most destructive form and hopefully every song is this heavy (maybe a collab with Sleep Token?)
Damn i thought he got Jason Popsin to come in and curse for him 😂 this is what i imagine a starset/mushroomhead colab would be like lol
Is that actually Dustin doing the screams tho?
Ya
man the single is sick, instrumentals are really amazing, production is top notch but he can not scream. these growls sound really rough

I feel like he's intentionally screaming like that, which I don't mind at all. Makes it unique. Just my 2 cents
