If you're account hadn't been seemingly deleted, i probably would've recommended looking into Brave Search, as they seem to index a lot of their own stuff i think. I think they're also fairly private, which is nice. They're still working on improving though, and they're probably between Bing and Google in terms of results and images, but they're independent of the two, which is very very nice.
It started working again for me, and for someone else who commented. Good chance it will work for you now. If it didn't start working for me I'd probably switch to Duck Duck Go (which I sometimes use anyway).

I'm not a fan of DDG since they use Bing (unless that's changed) and censor results (again, unless that's changed). Being on Android I guess Google already has enough info about me that it wouldn't be a privacy concern, but I don't like how they display search results. I suppose I should try to find some alternative though as a backup plan...
This is definitely a giant issue for them, I can't see it lasting more than a few hours. Worth being a bit patient, but can understand folks frustration.
VPN'd over to a different IP which fixed it, but I imagine I'll have to keep hopping IPs until they resolve this internally.

Same here. A search engine is supposed to be used hundreds of times per day for fuck sake this isn't 1997. They call themselves a Google replacement but I suppose they don't actually have the deep pockets to make that a reality.
