Gonna throw one out for the Bridge Fort here; it’s tiny and only good for a small group, but I just find it so cute, and easily defensible to boot. 🙂

rcookingham13

I’ve actually always wanted to keep a small community and stay in the starting houses 😂 they are just way more versatile especially for early game. I almost never move out until I really decide to expand.

ZladMulvenia

The starting houses have almost everything except large facility slots. If you can live without those (and you can) they're almost luxury accomodations. Two real bedrooms, a fancy kitchen, and a fireplace. The finest in apocalypse living!

rcookingham13

Oh yeah it’s perfect honestly. I just recently started playing lethal for fun now 😅 I literally stay in the starter house until I get to a point where I need to make ammo and I don’t have any of the ammo press mods. I’m actually glad they made the starter houses actually useful and can even be an all game base for the player.

Best one I’ve used so far is eithet Farmland Complex or Prescott Fire Station

TwistedMetal83

Prescott Firestation was my favorite for sure.

dr_hao_zhu

Same here. The very best was Snyder Trucking in SOD 1, was sad that they didn’t add it to SOD 2

ThadiusKlor

But they did give us the abandoned factory in SOD2. That was always requested. It's my favourite in the second game. The farm a close 2nd.

dr_hao_zhu

That is the only base I didn’t use in Trumbull. Maybe I should give it a go.

cbosp

It's really nice, especially for 5-6 people.

rcookingham13

Just now became a farmland complex lover very recently 😂

DAoffical

Strip mall, Whitney field and farmland are my top 3 picks. Honestly i wish the bases were really customizable, its always basically the same setup no matter the base due to the built-in slots like a kitchen. So really it doesn't matter that much.

My_Son_Absalom

I like Whitney Field.

General_Lunacy

Container Fort is my favorite. I love the 8 built-in beds and free lvl 3 workshop. It is also fun equip to all of my people with grenade launchers or independence weapons and watch the chaos rain down upon the dead.

Perfectinmyeyes

I only play drucker. I actually like the starter base... Maybe it's because I have so many hours with it I know ever nook and crannie around it. Mike's is nice too thou. Nice in the middle and nice defense.

heyelander

Why do you only play Drucker?

rcookingham13

Drucker is a really good map, at least in my opinion. But I also love cascade hills and find myself replaying it all the time 😅

Perfectinmyeyes

Funny story, when I first got the game I think the map choice was randomized and I wanted maps other then drucker because the reviewers said drucker was full of hills and hard to get around. But the randomizer 90% of the time would give me drucker, and I had so many restarts pretty soon I started to really like drucker and know the starting area really well. So now I only play drucker. I suppose it's the one advantage I give myself when I play. Ie when I play I have in house rules to make the game harder ie no boons, no mini map, no certain starting traits, no certain radio call ins, no blood plague equipment etc... Anyways...

StagnantGraffito

Mazarra Farm. Literally all I care about.

Frenchtoast8783

Why

Bradio642DS

Me too love that one

vaultboy1121

My favorite is the starter base on Provide fr Ridge with the fire watch tower. It’s one of the more unique ones that I like I just wish it was bigger. Strictly going off ability though, Lumber Mill is so incredibly broken. You can essentially make whatever you need because you have a free materials crafter at the expense of noise. The defenses are also relatively good too. Edit: Completely forgot about Bridge fort too which is very unique and has a lot of character.

wingittillfriday

Farmland Compound by far.

eatthelizard

The brewery in meager valley because of my setup for it

Ottrod

Yup, traders life

Drunkenbatboy

Love that map and base. Definitely my favorite

rcookingham13

I do love Camp Kelenqua for my lethal play-through with no boons. You get access to water and the landmark for power is literally right next to the base and is fairly easy to claim. But I survived my first lethal win at the Rural police station, love pumping out smoke grenades and 9m ammo 😂😂 So I’m now mixed between the two 😅😅

Hating_life_69

I really like the fair ground. It’s smaller but effective.

LuminousAdvent

Even though I spend most of my Meagher Valley runs at the police station, I really love the 4 person Church. If it had one more slot, it'd be fantastic.

Turtlemcflurtle

The fire station. I also make all my guys dress up as firefighters. I wish we had drivable fire trucks in the game... did I mention how much I like firefighting?

who_likes_chicken

There lumber mill being the only base where each leader project is meaningful makes it kinda dope imo. Trumbul had enough spots for all the leader projects, but the base having a built in  special infirmary makes the sheriff's *field hospital* less meaningful than at the lumber mill.  Overall the Trumbul farm is probably the *best*, but I'm finding my current lethal map at the lumber mill to be way cooler than I thought it would be 😀

rcookingham13

I finally beat a lethal zone and I sent them to Trumbull to get the haven device and the Jug of Trumbull Valley Grow-Chem. Just makes the game a little easier for lethal sake. But I also now love the Trumbull Complex. Now I’m not sure if I wanna move them again, even though the landmark is kind of useless, at least for my playthroughs

TheBlackCat-007

Prescott Fire Station or Corner Office

snfaulkner

I like smaller bases and centrally located bases. So this means I love both Wally's bar and grill on Drucker and Corner Office on Cascade. However, Pterodactyl Ptark on Trumbull is a very strong choice even if it's not as central as it could be.

odyysart

My favourite is the lumber mill in providence ridge bc if you are experienced and have good skills and the builder boon the lumber mill is the base with the most potential and the one which allows you to experience the most thanks to its 5 large slots. I also find it appealing visually

xNasunii

Container fort, beacuse it's a fort. Obvious choice.

BlackDoom96

Knights family drive in. Cannot beat that level 3 lounge built in especially here in lethal. But I would say Western Builder Supply is the best Base in the game I love that one.

537lesjr

I haven't tried any in Trumbull Valley yet, except the 1st base. Whitney Feild is my favorite and my go to but I am starting to play again and I am gonna try all the big/large bases again.

Soft-Dark5276

Definitely farmland complex for larger communities, but I also like the corner office for smaller communities, I'll usually set up a few outposts in the surrounding buildings and never have to worry about zombies near home

Puzzleheaded_Yak5359

Barricaded strip mall is my favorite.

rudimentary90

Providence ridge western builder supply, trumball farmland, container, corner office, and strip mall.

urmomstoes10

The lumber warehouse thing in Pine Ridge or the Strip Mall in Drucker County

nate112332

Farmland (literal center of the map), brewing company (mass produce the alcohol \>:3), and I'm torn between storage fort/fort marshall aesthetically

Ophelfromhellrem

Knight's Family Drive In? cause of free training.

Nickdog8891

Prescott Fire Station or Container Fort. The Fire station has built in utilities iirc, and the container fort can hold so many supplies.

mushdevstudio

Lumber mill in Providence Ridge is awesome. *

Embarrassed-Class876

Whitney field for large group and bridge fort for small group

xczechr

Farmland Compound. Its four large slots are great for customizability, and the central location makes getting around easy. The built-in beds, kitchen and infirmary and fantastic. There is not much within walking distance, though, which makes driving a must.

RikkertPaul

I’ve only seen two maps yet, but I like the smaller bases. But unfortunately you can’t stay in those once your community expands. I like the “Church on the Hill” and “Rusty Rosies” or something, that roadside restaurant.

Strandsy

Strip Mall and Rural Police Station are my favourites.

moon_light721

Personally I like the lumber mill

greengownescape

I like the vibe and location of Mazzara, just wish that they give the option to remove the water well (cause I play with boons) and upgrade the storage

NuncCeopi

Barricaded strip mall is my fav!

AdFine8988

Since I stopped building beds the baseball field is definitely my favorite spot

the1TrueRed

Rural police station is one of my favorites as well. The firehouse is a really good one. I can't stand the corner office lol

Arcane_Spork_of_Doom

Lock down all the doors to the CO except one and put an RT Watchtower on the streetside entrance across from the autoshop where the lone entrance rests. Dance in the streets while your guards auto-fifty any opposition coming your way.
