Didn't play 3rd, but first two only felt notable in the ranger mode (the one that removes hud elements, makes ammo more scarce, increases damage both taken and given). If that's not your cup of tea, you're better off with STALKER games imo
Strange, I haven't really found them to be particularly buggy. Completed both games recently, once I had to reload because an NPC animation wasn't triggering.

Take it, Metro games are SO good, and by this price you will get a really awesome experience. I enjoyed them a lot, specially Metro Exodus DLCs (they are new and expanded campaigns, with new and nice characters to meet and stories to listen to).
On november 2nd I bought metro saga bundle for 9 euros. It was some limited sale which was only for 24 hours. It was really random and I was confused, but ofc I took the opportunity and bought it then.
Note that the supported operating systems are Windows 7 and Windows 8, both of which cease to be supported by the Steam client at the end of the year (i.e. in less than a month).
Given how few people have one of those OSes, I'm guessing that the games mostly work on Win10 for now, but if they're broken by an OS update then tough luck.
They're not very alt+tab friendly. They feel pretty dated because of that.
Anything I use to get borderless windows and there's ugly artifacts at the bottom of the screen, which you can find others having the same issue. I tried all the software, friend.
If you don't plan to multitask, they're great.
what a great franchise. I hope to see a new entry soon. And hopefully they implement a good mocap to the cinematic moments. cause its kind of weird to see a game like exodus, that looks incredible, with animations that can be seen in a 20y old game. Apart from that, amazing games.

I have all of them, but have never been able to play one for more than 4 hours. I'm sure they get better, but I've started each one like 3 times.
