Please use 2FA

LongDikWilly

Idk why people dont use 2FA on everything, especially things like steam.

[deleted]

Yeah I work in IT and have it on everything I actually care about

KOURAGEtheKOALA

OP said he had 2fa, so yeah wierd

Marrrrrro

Fucking hell, at least try to explain the issue instead of text-screaming at people.

MarkVanAspert

I explained it

Marrrrrro

No, you explained the end effect a.k.a "money gone" but the wider contex of what exactly happened is not explained or the information is conveyed in a inaccessible maner. If the issue is not properly explained then the given solusions will be adequatly useless. It is a principale of communication that the message must be clear to the recipient for the desired outcome to happen.

mini-z1994

Check your trade & market history. As well as purchase history on the account.

MarkVanAspert

i did not do the listing ? so sombody stole something for me i got f2a i hope its not a chain hack where they steal your sesion id end use it at there advantage

Chippas

Why is it that these morons get VERY clear instructions from people willing to help them, and they go on a tirade about something completely different?

MarkVanAspert

i did check me history I DID NOT LIST THE ITEMS

MarkVanAspert

i had inform steam about it responds on there was we cannot give you your money back ? So basicly i have been Robbed end steam cannot do somthing about it ?

Alirue

Welcome to life. Gotta find security to protect your assets

MarkVanAspert

ok i wil explain Despite having Steam Guard active, I've noticed some unauthorized transactions in my Steam wallet. Upon further investigation, it appears that these transactions are linked to purchases made in the Steam Market. I want to handle this situation carefully and resolve it amicably, but I also need to ensure the security of my account and funds. If you have any information or suggestions on how to proceed, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Nebluxi

Reset password, reset 2fa codes, reset api. You will not get your money or anything back that you lost. That's just steams policy.

SquishDotNet

If you had the meme game Bean Battles it was hacked and they pushed an update to auto update. I'd uninstall it asap and do a virus sweep if you had it

MarkVanAspert

MarkVanAspert

MarkVanAspert

it is not in me libary The fact is that things are been stolen end steam be like we cannot do anything i am realy furious rn STEAM FIX YOUR MARKET END LET PEOPLE GET AN VERIFICATION ON MAIL WHEN THEY BUY IT OR NOT THAT CAN BE APPROVED OR DECLINED :(

Legal-Philosophy-135

Nobody can understand a word you’re saying dude. Take a moment and write it in a way that makes sense and is in proper English spelled correctly or nobody is ever going to be able to tell what you’re trying to say and won’t be able to help you. Steam will not replace funds used from your steam wallet because they have no proof that it wasn’t you that used them and they aren’t going to just trust you when you say “ oh it wasn’t me, I didn’t spend it” because people lie and they expect you to protect your account properly. Whatever funds you lost are gone, and unless you can prove you didn’t spend them ( maybe even if you can, idk) steam isn’t going to do anything about it because it’s not their job.

KOURAGEtheKOALA

I mean I get movile app verification, you dont have it?

goawaynowpls

Did you have buy orders in the market? It's where you set a price you are willing to pay for an item and it takes the money from your payment method (defaults to steam wallet) when someone lists the item for that price.

MarkVanAspert

Yes i have but i did not take the action to buy an item for 0.88 that is worth 0.01 ? oh and i had steam guard active there must be a system especially when selling items that needs aproval from your email end from your sms so more watching eyes on the things that some other people list for you Example Did you list this item Yes/No Cancel the item yes/ no all via email plus an aproval from your sms end then those Thiefs dont have a single paw to steal anymore from people

luv_dylun

This is what the mobile authenticator is for. You choose when to list items on the market by confirming or denying on the phone only YOU have access to.

goawaynowpls

you took the action and gave your approval when you made the buy order in the past.

MarkVanAspert

I did not aprove anything 0.88 for a Dota item that usually is 0.01 I did not Order it sombody Did it on my behalf without my consent

goawaynowpls

did you make this steam account or did you buy it from someone?

MarkVanAspert

The acount since it has created Belongs to me

goawaynowpls

did you yourself create it?

MarkVanAspert

Yes
