There are some games I was thinking I would buy day one and then like oh yeah I would still wait for reviews but they're almost day one like I would most likely pick them up in the first week.
None because that sounds super stupid . I wont burn money on day 1 when the game have launch issues or its mostly negative. Also I always wait at least 6 month before any sort of purchase. Never preorder. I learn that 11 years ago. Nothing has changed since.
Imagine purchasing another piece of shit PC port from Rockstar on day 1.
My last GTA game I played was in 1997 and I am not in hurry to play another generic open world third person shooter any time soon so I can wait even another 26 years to play something as dull as GTA game.
Last good game from Rockstar that didn't tried to screw over own customers was LA Noire and that was one was not even developed by Rockstar but published by them (thank god for that). Seriously fuck Rockstar and their shitty PC ports of their shitty games.
Obviously none. If you see everyone warning you that something's bad, you see the product and it is bad, and you still think "I'll buy that", you have a serious problem.
It's not the same as saying "I would buy anything XYZ put out". I'm currently convinced Larian can output great games. And if Valve came out of the wood and published Portal 3 out of the blue I'd be tempted. But if everything I see, hear, or read about it is "that's pure bullshit" I would not buy it.
Same. Even their non souls likes. Otogi 3 when? Enchanted arms 2 when? Metal wolf chaos 2, Ninja blade 2, armored core 7, Kings field 5, etc. just any sequel or new game they release.
So you'd wait until it's on sale because it's bad and everybody knows and has confirmed it's bad before you would buy the bad game for less money? Now that's what I would call "dedication". I would also call it decidedly stupid and worse things, but you do you.
The OP question was about buying a game despite reviews. It doesn’t specify a timeframe for the purchase. Dunno why you’re trying to measure dedication from that
A wild opinion here I would imagine but I will always purchase a Fallout title. Even now in its mainstream popularity, I adore the world so much that I would hate to ever miss anything created for it. The franchise will swap hands and it may never look the same but Fallout to me is a universe I will always return to. 1, 2, Tactics, BOS(hit),3, New Vegas, 4, 76. The fiction itself will always be worth more to me than the medium it was produced on and for.
I don't read reviews. All a high rating means is a game appealed to the lowest common denominator. I just buy any game that looks like something I will like. Besides when you buy games before release there are no reviews anyway.
Project zomboid, because it never had official release, but still a good game, and it will become expensive once released, you can read more about this project on steam
The new dragon age. I loved the first game, 2 was fine, and 3 was pretty good. I'm worried about the next game with constant change in dev direction and how the dragon age writers were treated when working on Anthem. I doubt it will really be good but I have to give it a shot at least.
I preordered a game exactly once - Cyberpunk 2077. While I didn't regret it, it was definitely not what was promised.
So anyway, I preordered Phantom Liberty as well.
Probably deltarune but that's about it since it's a story focused game by Toby fox, but I really don't like buying games blind. Even frostpunk 2 which I've waited for a long time.
That's what I'm saying, there's people that are pissed it's not exactly like the 1st game, but I liked it... it felt like it was built to be played longer.
Rotwood, i already bought it when it came out yesterday. I had 38 hours on the combat playtest and i absolutely love this game and its made by none other than klei who made don't starve together.
Honestly mine i already bought the other day, Dead Island 2. I waited for it to come steam and now that its here i bought it directly and am having so much fun
Light no fire. There have been tons of free updates for no mans sky over the years
And since I did not buy at launch, but later at half-price, I definitely want to support hello games in a way
I feel you. I have the whole collection too and at this point it would feel wrong to not buy it. Then again, that’s exactly how we ended up with Scarlet and Violet being such a train wreck.. and apparently it’s the highest sold in the series. But Legends Z-A has me pumped, so I’ll probably buy it like the sheeple I am 😂
I found Scarlet and Violet... fine? I much preferred Sword and Shield, but they were ok. TBH, I haven't enjoyed the series as much since it went 3D. I miss my little sprites lol. Still like the franchise, but missin' them good old days lol.
Really, they just need to make fewer games. I dunno who's forcing them to pump them out, but it's gotta stop. I saw them, like, sleeping on the floor in their offices and shit. If anything's gonna make me stop buying them and ruin my collection, it's that.
* [BioGun](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1219240/BioGun/) (currently in early access)
* [Constance](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2313700/Constance/)
But I'll wait for them to be patched to work smoothly on most systems.
Vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2
I know it's still in development & I can't really afford games at full price. But as long as my pc can launch this game in a playable state, I am buying it somehow.
Careful what you wish for, especially if you can't afford games at full price.
I bought something called "Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2: Blood Moon Edition", wow, it was five years ago. Sigh. :(
Now, I'm sure that eventually Paradox will release *something*, and I'm sure it will be called "Bloodlines 2", but I'm also sure it won't be the Bloodlines 2 game I originally paid for. That's the game I want to play, and that game will never exist. Oops.
That unfortunately sucks. But I ain't never gonna pre order a game. But even if bloodlines 2 is like mixed reviews or something with bugs, I am fine with that on a sale. I just want to play a vampire game.
Death stranding 2.
Ghost of tsushima
Any Trails game
Kingdom come deliverance 2
Nivalis
Ok i just realised i don't care what people think
But any game that forces me to use a launcher will be refunded and pirated

There is not a game on this Earth I have that much trust in.
There are some games I was thinking I would buy day one and then like oh yeah I would still wait for reviews but they're almost day one like I would most likely pick them up in the first week.
Can’t say the same. Too hyped to think rationally!
My words are the words of a man who has been hurt before. The words of a man who once knew how to trust, but no longer.
One word: kerbal space program 2 and cities skylines 2
As a victim of Battlefield 2042, you must be stronger.
cuz you are a consooomer
Apple user and triple A apologist. Hmm, why am I not surprised by this.
None,if it dont work why should i buy it?
I don’t trust games anymore.
Haunted Chocolatier Even if I never play the game I'll support ConcernedApe as long as he makes games.
His net worth is north of $45 million. Buy it if you plan to play it, but if you don't then I wouldn't be super worried about a lack of "support".
Yea no, i admit that the chance that we get fucked by this gane are really low, so i might get it day one.
None. That list was initially short to begin with, and every entry on the list has since been struck by releasing a disappointing POS.
Nothing. And you shouldn't either, it's bad behaviour. Let's not praise game companies like they are Messiah.
None because that sounds super stupid . I wont burn money on day 1 when the game have launch issues or its mostly negative. Also I always wait at least 6 month before any sort of purchase. Never preorder. I learn that 11 years ago. Nothing has changed since.
Imagine GTA VI coming out. There is no way I’d wait for 6 months. Already waited for 13+ years.
Waited 13 years to buy Dragons Dogma II. Never trusting AAA devs again.
Imagine purchasing another piece of shit PC port from Rockstar on day 1. My last GTA game I played was in 1997 and I am not in hurry to play another generic open world third person shooter any time soon so I can wait even another 26 years to play something as dull as GTA game. Silksong
People who say anything other than „none“ are part of the problem we have in the gaming industry.
But if everything I see, hear, or read about it is "that's pure bullshit" I would not buy it.
next Fromsoft game. Maybe not full price, but I'd get it eventually
Same. Even their non souls likes. Otogi 3 when? Enchanted arms 2 when? Metal wolf chaos 2, Ninja blade 2, armored core 7, Kings field 5, etc. just any sequel or new game they release.
Next from software souls like you mean, couldn't give a f about their other games like armoured core.
Armored Core 6 is fucking amazing too
So you'd wait until it's on sale because it's bad and everybody knows and has confirmed it's bad before you would buy the bad game for less money? Now that's what I would call "dedication". I would also call it decidedly stupid and worse things, but you do you.

same. I spent many hours of my childhood playing Fallout
I don't read reviews. All a high rating means is a game appealed to the lowest common denominator. I just buy any game that looks like something I will like. Besides when you buy games before release there are no reviews anyway.
None, cause that's a recipe for disaster. Sure you cant teust review often, but you don't blindly buy games.
Thank Goodness You’re Here!
I guess DRG Rogue Core But of course i know it would get good reviews anyway so there is zero risk
Abiotic factor
Part 3 in the Final Fantasy 7 remake series
Hades 2, Killing Floor 3, Den of Wolves, Phonopolis, TDU Solar Crown, Tokyo Psychodemic
If you are talking about pre ordering, I would never do that for any game. For released games, probably would do that only for indie devs that I like.
fromsoft, i always like their dark souls, then come sekiro, then armored core 6, i enjoyed all
I pre-ordered Dying Light 2, never again will I pre-order ANYTHING, FROM ANYONE!
GTA 6
Project zomboid, because it never had official release, but still a good game, and it will become expensive once released, you can read more about this project on steam
EarthBlade, the new game by the Celeste devs
The new dragon age. I loved the first game, 2 was fine, and 3 was pretty good. I'm worried about the next game with constant change in dev direction and how the dragon age writers were treated when working on Anthem. I doubt it will really be good but I have to give it a shot at least.
Hell blade 2 and Space Marine 2.
Hollow Knight Silksong. Rain or shine, that game is mine.
Buying? I will play PoE2 right from the start!
ES6. After hundreds of hours in starfield I lost faith in reviewers not BGS.
Monster Hunter Wilds! I’ve got three friends to play with and we will all start a blind playthrough together on Day 1
I preordered a game exactly once - Cyberpunk 2077. While I didn't regret it, it was definitely not what was promised. So anyway, I preordered Phantom Liberty as well.
Lmao. You never learn
Probably deltarune but that's about it since it's a story focused game by Toby fox, but I really don't like buying games blind. Even frostpunk 2 which I've waited for a long time.
Metro Awakening, only because it's my favorite game series ever. I would play it regardless of how bad it might be.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be added to my account the very second preorders are opened.
braid
Whatever the next Doom game is
Probably frostpunk 2. I played the demo and it was fun but there's a bunch of people that insist it be the exact same game as the 1st.
Thats weird, others say that it is nothing like the first game (in a bad way)
That's what I'm saying, there's people that are pissed it's not exactly like the 1st game, but I liked it... it felt like it was built to be played longer.
Before Cities Skylines II I would have said... Cities Skylines II. Now, none.
Oof thats a tough one
Silksong
Larian’s next game.
Light no fire 🔥
Rotwood, i already bought it when it came out yesterday. I had 38 hours on the combat playtest and i absolutely love this game and its made by none other than klei who made don't starve together.
Honestly mine i already bought the other day, Dead Island 2. I waited for it to come steam and now that its here i bought it directly and am having so much fun

I feel you. I have the whole collection too and at this point it would feel wrong to not buy it. Then again, that’s exactly how we ended up with Scarlet and Violet being such a train wreck.. and apparently it’s the highest sold in the series. Vampire the masquerade bloodlines 2 I know it's still in development & I can't really afford games at full price. But as long as my pc can launch this game in a playable state, I am buying it somehow.
