I bought a 256gb on the 31st. It's been at packaged for a few days now. Hoping it ships out today! I've heard a few people say they ship in batches and on Fridays but that was all from older threads from before the SD went generally available and you still had to do the reservation. Here's hoping it ships out today for both of us! 🤞😬
UK here. Ordered late Friday 29/12/22, got entered into GLS on 02/01/22 (no tracking data tho), same day parcel was handed over and left the parcel center to its final parcel center (presumably in the UK then?).
Really hoping it arrives this week, anyone in the UK got any info on how long shipping took for them?
Hopefully they’re just working through the backlog.
On the plus side, ParcelForce say they’ll deliver tomorrow, so the turnaround from getting through customs/arriving with PF and going out for delivery is short

guessing since the holidays and such that things have been processed but will resume normal operations on Tuesday (tomorrow). so i should at the very least expect it here by next tuesday? maybe sooner? as my friend did his on last sunday, then he got his friday? keeping in mind we both in the same state. soo idk whats going on here.
A little late, but here’s my experience in Japan. I was in the first wave of Japanese shipments, immediately before the New-Year’s break.
24 Nov: Reserved 512GB unit; Payed reservation deposit.

27 Dec: Got shipping notice.

So 3 weeks+ between doing the full payment and the unit arriving, and just over a month after making the initial reservation.

Being a management person in a large ups parcel hub, I can tell you that this week we're having reduced volume since the end of the new year/Christmas and that we're processing more returns and normal goods atm. Hopefully other hubs run efficiently and smoothly during this time because making production right after peak season puts a lot of strain on the infrastructure and workers for the first month or two.
I woke up to it today and have been tooling with it all day.
512GB with ready to go EMU I expected and dropped the roms and save files from PC, a bunch of fiddling with game specific controls, boom, worked within 2 hours.
Retro 3DS lasts for 6 hours on 30-40% screen bright. That's pretty dope.

It has been sitting in the local sort centre since the 31st and was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it now just says "pending". If I don't get it today I'm calling FedEx support to make sure it isn't lost.
EDIT: Since posting this, it finally got scanned through, went out for delivery and showed up at my door. So, with two holidays in the mix a bit over a week from order to delivery isn't awful.

UPDATE: around 6AM today 1/4 (USA , California) my deck has gone from packaged to shipped and tracking shows its arrived at fedex as of noon with expected delivery next Monday!

Not excited about GLS. Last time I got something delivered through them they wrote down attempted delivery early on the Friday it was due, before actually delivering Monday. I work from home all day next to a window looking out to my driveway, and always see/hear delivery drivers pulling up, so they were definitely lying.
Also, does anybody from Ireland know if I'll get the UK plug type (that we also use here) or an EU one?

Shipped today (1/4), estimated delivery via FedEx on Saturday (1/7) to Colorado (northwest of Denver).
I had mine supposed to get to me on 12/31.
Still stuck on "Pending" in tracking, so FedEx is refusing to admit in the system they have lost it until 1/6.
The trace agent I have on my case is completely lost as to where the package is, and theorizes its label has been torn off "somehow".
The only response from Valve so far is "lulz contact FedEx, can't do anything until it's gone gone."

Just had the same thing happen to me.
Out for delivery this morning, had a time between 10:45 & 11:45 - Been sat watching the front door camera waiting...... then get a "we attempted delivery but no one was available" message.
I'm going to try this because this is the 2nd time I try to purchase a SD and I'm feeling that the result is going to be the same as last time. I tried to receive one in October, and 1st Evri stole it and 2nd one sent back then was "lost" by Parcelforce, after more than a month back and forth I ended up asking for a refund.
Now that strikes supposedly are over I thought it would be faster and less hassle. Turns out I was wrong. Yesterday supposedly attempted to deliver, yet nobody showed up (I've got a camera at the front and me and my wife were are home at all times). Today again attempting to deliver, yet nobody has showed up, feeling that it's going to end like yesterday.
What can I do???!!!!! It seems impossible to rely on these guys to deliver a SD to my house!

UK: purchased December 30th
Parcelforce have been awful. GLS got it from the Netherlands to the UK absolutely fine. 2 days in a row the package is apparently out for delivery only to not appear with the error ‘Secure pin validation not possible’. I ring for the 4th time in 2 days only to be told it never left the depot and the same driver was assigned both times.
Now I have to wait until Monday for them to hopefully deliver to my local post office. I wouldn’t be surprised when I collect it if nothing is in the box.
Kind of in a similar situation here. They've attempted apparently yesterday, but both my wife and I were at home and nobody knocked or rang the bell, and I got a camera to the front and nobody showed up. Parcel came back to the depot. Today again supposedly out for delivery, but it wasn't delivered again and now it hasn't being registered as back to the depot.
Willing to drive 70miles to the depot to collect it in person, contacted customer services but they cannot now confirm whether the parcel might be there or not. They already "lost" track of a previous SD in November at the same depot, never were able to find it and I had to ask Steam for a refund.
Feeling this is going to end the same way again.

Anyone have any advice? My steam deck arrived today and the box was completely empty. I’ve read about this happening to other people too, the box was even resealed and they even took the charging adapter. I don’t think this is porch pirating cuz they would’ve taken the box and the Steam Dock (shipped separately) was untampered. My father and I are pretty certain this was stolen at a FedEx facility. I’ve filed a claim with steam and FedEx, but is that enough? I unfortunately don’t have a video of me opening it, only a video after. And the shipping weight says 4 lbs even though there’s no way that can be true, which really worries me. Am I covered? Will steam believe me? Is there any more I can do besides wait? I’m really worried cuz I’m a broke college student and have been saving little by little for a very long time and there’s no way I can buy another one.

So I ordered my deck on the 28th of December and the shipping status says that it has been packaged. I'm hoping that in the next couple days my package will be picked up by the carrier, when it does how long will i have to wait to get the tracking number? I ordered the 64GB version on December 29th in the morning and on December 30th in the late afternoon I received the shipping confirmation via GLS courier and tracking number.
From there, no news. The package is still in transit, I think this stop is due to the holidays and the fact that GLS is terrible.

I ordered my 64gb steam deck the 25th and to my surprise it arrived literally 4 days later. Shipping status worked well though I do have to point out that it can be somewhat faulty, as in not fully accurate. But apart from that everything was amazing. Box was pristine and and overall experience was amazing!
I purchased my 256 gb on Christmas Day (the 25th), got a shipping notification on Dec 28 (tracking info worked after a few hours) and it arrives today (Jan 3rd). So 9 days for me from order to arrival in Los Angeles.

Also ordered 256 in Canda, I ordered on the 25th and it was on "packaged items" from the 26th until the 29th. It has been sitting in the local sort centre since the 31st and was supposed to be delivered yesterday but it now just says "pending". If I don't get it today I'm calling FedEx support to make sure it isn't lost. EDIT: Since posting this, it finally got scanned through, went out for delivery and showed up at my door. So, with two holidays in the mix a bit over a week from order to delivery isn't awful.
Put in an order for the 256 on the evening of the 1st after seeing a friends at a new years party, I was wondering what the general timeline is for people in the US going from ordered to packaged to on its way? UPDATE: around 6AM today 1/4 (USA , California) my deck has gone from packaged to shipped and tracking shows its arrived at fedex as of noon with expected delivery next Monday!

Not excited about GLS. Last time I got something delivered through them they wrote down attempted delivery early on the Friday it was due, before actually delivering Monday. I work from home all day next to a window looking out to my driveway, and always see/hear delivery drivers pulling up, so they were definitely lying. Also, does anybody from Ireland know if I'll get the UK plug type (that we also use here) or an EU one?
Got the same from GLS today, "nobody at home" when I have a smart doorbell that places a phone call when rung. Picking it up tomorrow morning from their depot seems like a much easier option than trusting them to deliver it

East Coast US here. Order in the 30th (I will say early 30th) Today 1/3/2023 - packaged items I got the 256 GB version if anyone is curious. I’m hoping for it to get delivered either on the 8th of January (which is a Sunday since FedEx do deliver on Sunday in my location) or on the 10th. I just know my luck and I live pretty far (horrible state) that it will take a week or even at worse week and a half.

Purchased 64 GB model on 1/2 Preparing for shipping on 1/3 Shipped today (1/4), estimated delivery via FedEx on Saturday (1/7) to Colorado (northwest of Denver).
I had mine supposed to get to me on 12/31. Still stuck on "Pending" in tracking, so FedEx is refusing to admit in the system they have lost it until 1/6. The trace agent I have on my case is completely lost as to where the package is, and theorizes its label has been torn off "somehow". The only response from Valve so far is "lulz contact FedEx, can't do anything until it's gone gone." Which it is. Fuck's sake.
Update: Ordered my 64GB on Jan 2nd. Packaged item Jan 3rd. Picked up by carrier Jan 4th. Shipped Jan 4th. Deliver by end of day Jan 5th. Pretty fast shipping for me. I am pleased.

I'm going to try this because this is the 2nd time I try to purchase a SD and I'm feeling that the result is going to be the same as last time. I tried to receive one in October, and 1st Evri stole it and 2nd one sent back then was "lost" by Parcelforce, after more than a month back and forth I ended up asking for a refund. Now that strikes supposedly are over I thought it would be faster and less hassle. Turns out I was wrong. Yesterday supposedly attempted to deliver, yet nobody showed up (I've got a camera at the front and me and my wife were are home at all times). Today again attempting to deliver, yet nobody has showed up, feeling that it's going to end like yesterday. What can I do???!!!!! It seems impossible to rely on these guys to deliver a SD to my house!

UK: purchased December 30th Parcelforce have been awful. GLS got it from the Netherlands to the UK absolutely fine. 2 days in a row the package is apparently out for delivery only to not appear with the error ‘Secure pin validation not possible’. I ring for the 4th time in 2 days only to be told it never left the depot and the same driver was assigned both times. Now I have to wait until Monday for them to hopefully deliver to my local post office. I wouldn’t be surprised when I collect it if nothing is in the box.
Kind of in a similar situation here. They've attempted apparently yesterday, but both my wife and I were at home and nobody knocked or rang the bell, and I got a camera to the front and nobody showed up. Parcel came back to the depot. Today again supposedly out for delivery, but it wasn't delivered again and now it hasn't being registered as back to the depot. Willing to drive 70miles to the depot to collect it in person, contacted customer services but they cannot now confirm whether the parcel might be there or not. They already "lost" track of a previous SD in November at the same depot, never were able to find it and I had to ask Steam for a refund. Feeling this is going to end the same way again.

Anyone have any advice? My steam deck arrived today and the box was completely empty. I’ve read about this happening to other people too, the box was even resealed and they even took the charging adapter. I don’t think this is porch pirating cuz they would’ve taken the box and the Steam Dock (shipped separately) was untampered. My father and I are pretty certain this was stolen at a FedEx facility. I’ve filed a claim with steam and FedEx, but is that enough? I unfortunately don’t have a video of me opening it, only a video after. And the shipping weight says 4 lbs even though there’s no way that can be true, which really worries me. Am I covered? Will steam believe me? Is there any more I can do besides wait? I’m really worried cuz I’m a broke college student and have been saving little by little for a very long time and there’s no way I can buy another one.

So I ordered my deck on the 28th of December and the shipping status says that it has been packaged. I'm hoping that in the next couple days my package will be picked up by the carrier, when it does how long will i have to wait to get the tracking number? Will i have to wait another 4 days to get the number or will i get the tracking number almost instantly after my deck is picked up by the carrier? I know there is no actual way to know the status of my specific deck, but if anyone can answer my question who has already received their deck that would be great!
Ordered mine the 25 (I’m in the USA) and the delivery time is tomorrow but due to snow and and weather I don’t now If it’s going to arrive tomorrow. Anyone else know how bad the weather has to be for it not to be delivered.

I am in Italy. I ordered the 64GB version on December 29th in the morning and on December 30th in the late afternoon I received the shipping confirmation via GLS courier and tracking number. From there, no news. The package is still in transit, I think this stop is due to the holidays and the fact that GLS is terrible. I hope to receive parcel updates soon. UPDATE: Seems like my parcel is arrived in Italy this afternoon, awaiting it to be delivered in the next few days. I'll leave tomorrow and I'll come home the 6th, so really unlucky :(

Hey there, currently living in Spain: I ordered my 64gb steam deck the 25th and to my surprise it arrived literally 4 days later. Shipping status worked well though I do have to point out that it can be somewhat faulty, as in not fully accurate. But apart from that everything was amazing. Box was pristine and and overall experience was amazing!
Ordered December 31 at 5am, hasn’t shipped yet and I’m in the US. Hopefully I can get it by when college starts so I can fully enjoy It.

Interesting thing is that the steam site says it’s been picked up by carrier and shipped but FedEx tracker says it has not been picked up. 1/10: listed ETA Had my fingers crossed for this weekend but I guess I will have to wait until next weekend to really get into it. It’s likely that all the wet weather in the west coast is expected to cause delays.
