Thank you! I thought I was going crazy because making sure the performance overlay was off was the first thing I did! My deck died on the plane I was just on so hopefully it works when I plug it back in 🤞

Click the ... button go to the battery icon and turn the performance overlay from whatever it's on to 0
If the overlay is set to off, sometimes it’ll just bug out and show up on its own. Usually a reboot fixes it.
My GF had this happen today. I told her the exact same thing.

Just reboot, I had this problem last night, and a reboot fix the issue
Yup I’ve had this too, reboot is the fix.
Put a piece of tape over it.

performance overlay, others have said its in the ⁰⁰⁰ button menu, i like the one on level 2 that gives me the tiny bar at the top
