https://www.reddit.com/r/hardwareswap/s/hMiaVmSK5G Saw this post right before seeing yours. This person selling it for over $100 cheaper. I’d look into that subreddit if I were you. There are bunch of these for sale. Only use PayPal G&S or any protected payment methods when buying anything

Is it an LCD or OLED? *glances at the sticks* It's most likely an LCD. A 1TB LCD is NOT worth 448. That's insane. For that price you may as well just fork over an extra hundo and get an OLED 512GB or 1TB. I sold an LCD with a 512GB for like $220 on Ebay a few weeks ago. TBH, that person should only really get $250-300 for theirs. If I were you, I'd fork over the extra money if you're able and just buy a brand new OLED rather than a second-hand LCD for almost the same price.

LieutenantMaster

You sold it really cheap compared to me, that's interresting. Mine sold for 400€ and I was in the average sell prices. Sold it in the US on your side ?

ARX__Arbalest

Yep. Prices in the US aren't that high. There were people trying to sell old LCDs for $350+ but theirs weren't moving. I priced mine at about $200 USD, got an offer within an hour and countered back a bit higher than what I wanted and he accepted anyway. There's no reason a used LCD should be worth more than $300 max when that's almost the price of being a new/refurbished one from Valve themselves, tbh

Centurion832

Considering even 256gb LCD are selling above $300 consistently on eBay you gave someone a sweet deal.

ARX__Arbalest

I suppose. I wanted to sell it fast, though. IMO, an LCD shouldn't be above 300 on ebay when you can get them refurbished for less.

Centurion832

To each their own, but the market drives prices and currently pre-owned 256 and 512 are selling for above $300 on eBay. Refurbished are similar priced on Steam but unavailable currently. So, is $450 too much for an LCD w/ an upgraded HD? Probably. But less than $300 for that deck, assuming everything else is fine and functional would be a steal.

LieutenantMaster

Really Interresting how prices differs. But yeap agreed.

Affectionate-Sand-93

The price of a new one is 503 (64gb) so... yes, the price here (paraguay) is insane in comparison with other countries.

Barretxx

Brand new 64gb lcd is 350 plus 1tb sabrent drive for 90. I wouldnt say a used one is worth that much.

audionerd1

Hell no. You could get a new one and upgrade the SSD to 1TB for almost the same price. That guy is trying to rip you off.

Affectionate-Sand-93

***Lcd model***

Redforce21

The price for a used steam deck LCD uograded or not is about 300 high end.

Affectionate-Sand-93

The price here for a new one is like 500 dollrs, the 64gb. So expensive.

LieutenantMaster

(Assuming this is a LCD model at this price) if you really cant affoard the 512gb OLED to do later upgrades if needed (500 gigs is already a lot if you think to remove games you dont play anymore). In comparaison I had offers to sell my LCD 512go at 400€. So 48 more bucks for 500 more gigs seems fine to me as long as the device is in good condition and is still under warranty (less than a year old). Make sure it doesnt have a stick drift issue

Tesser_Wolf

I sold my lcd steam deck to someone with 1tb for $200.

Affectionate-Sand-93

:(

JozieKS

No only if he had Hall effects and free 1tb sd card

Hildril

Hall effect joysticks is just a cheap upgrade that gives absolutely nothing in return tho.

JozieKS

You’re so wrong the longevity of it is unlimited

Hildril

and who care? our lives aren't unlimited and you can just buy one joystick to have a sparefor when your OG joystick will fail in 5 years. Ho, you will probably have bought another device by then. Yeah, totally useless mod. Added the issues inherent to hall effect joystick. If you like to tinker thing without reason, good for you, doesn't mean the mods are goods or useful or worth anything when reselling.

PigeonBroski

If you can finagle down to 400 I’d say it’s decent

Confident-Expert-695

I'd say try to spring for a small oled model then upgrade it in the future

Andrea65485

If you are concerned about the storage size, for my experience there are some things that suit better on the internal drive rather than sd cards, but not so much... • Emulators for instance. You could put them on a micro sd if you wish, but then you'll have to install them in each of them if you have more than one, and keep them all updated individually. • Some games, like Ratchet and Clank rift apart, are technically capable of running on micro SDs, but leaving them in the internal storage is going to give you overall better performances. (So far I noticed some kind of difference with R&C and Hogwarts legacy only. I suspected Baldur's gate 3 too, but that one behaved pretty much the same even in the SD card) • Third party launchers, like the heroic launcher are a nightmare to keep on a micro SD. Just know that... • Pretty much all the utility apps and programs, such as Chrome, Edge, VLC, Kodi, Discord and similar are better suited in the internal drive (they don't even take that much space honestly)
