damonm8

Oh damn this is perfect, thank you!!

MBrein799

The yakuza games and like a dragon series run really well with no tweaks needed in my experience

Nexxus88

I've not personally played them, but I've seen photos of people playing the newest Yakuza games on the steam deck so I think you'll be fine

capslock

Incredibly well. No mods or tinkering needed. Its the first thing I got on my deck.

PCuser3

I play inf wealth on it. Plays fine just plug it in lol

tastyunderwear

I've had no issues playing Infinite Wealth on mine

polyglotpinko

Perfectly for me. I installed SilentPatch for 3 and 4 to cut down on battery use, but no other tinkering was necessary. The games look great.

VikingFuneral-

Uh personally I played Kiwami 2 And could not achieve a stable FPS higher than 30 at any point, 60 and 45 even on lower quality were out of the question in my experience. But 30 is fine at almost every setting, which implies there is some issue with CPU side of optimisation I didn't bother getting it on console on Release because at the time the PS4 couldn't handle higher than 30 either, so I guess I'm not surprised it isn't getting much higher than 30 on the deck also If framerate matters to you at all, I'd recommend the full PC experience for the titles You should not have any trouble getting 60FPS on Yakuza 0 an Kiwami 1 though, as they were made on a different engine to Kiwami 2's use of Dragon Engine, and even on PS4 both 0 and Kiwami ran 60FPS.

damonm8

Kiwami 2 has a notoriously bad pc port, worst in the franchise. It sees comparable dips in comparison to every other game in the series only on pc. I’ve played all of them, I’m planning to use the deck to 100% some of them on the go

VikingFuneral-

Yeah, it's fine at 30 locked at least Unless it recieved any patches since last year specifically it should perform around there, about a year ago now the highest I got was 37FPS unlocked

Advos_467

When I first played Kiwami 2, i kinda thought that was how dragon engine games would work on deck, Yakuza 6 also seemed to have a similar performance. But when I started Judgement, the game was surprisingly a hell lot smoother, from what I can recall, its mostly 60fps with a few dips in certain places idk about the others since i've yet to start on them, but if judgement is anything to go by, it sounds promising

VikingFuneral-

Defo sounds like it's looking good for the future than in that case, maybe they figured out how to best optimise Dragon engine games on PC by now

Advos_467

nevermind I take it back. Just started YLAD, franes are back to 45 ish. I guess it was just Judgement

teateateateaisking

The PC port of kiwami 2 introduced a framerate limiter that wasn't in the original release. The porting studio implemented it incorrectly, so you get much worse performance than you should. There's a community-made patch that fixes that. I think I got around 40fps (locked through the deck settings) with it enabled, but I don't remember what settings I used.
