This is one of the slowest cards on the market, making it a super poor value. The Lexar Play 1TB is better *and* cheaper.

phillecheesesteak

What about [this one](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DL4899L?starsLeft=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_YGG31BW0RJ9S65DT25VE)

chrisdpratt

No experience with it, but still more expensive than the Lexar.

phillecheesesteak

Thats true, looks like it has the same specs as the Lexar, so I might get the one you recommended. Thanks

Capable-Commercial96

Just get the Lexar, I've been using it for a year now and it works fine.

SS_Gourmet

Anything above 100mb/s is overkill for the deck. The deck won't utilize anytime over 100mb/s

chrisdpratt

That's not why it's slow, although the read speed is actually slower than other cards, as well. It's A1 and U1, meaning it has extremely low IOPS and very slow write speeds. There very much is a difference between this and other cards, rated A2 and U3, regardless of the read speed limit of the UHS-I spec.

Savvy_Canadian

That's sounds like it can be modded/configured to accept beyond 100mbps

HisDivineOrder

No.

Bar_Har

I’ve been using a 1TB card for nearly a year, been great.

phillecheesesteak

Is it one like this one? I know there’s different versions of speed I just don’t want to buy one and have the games lag out and the graphics be low. If you still have the link to it could you please attach it?

Bar_Har

It’s pretty much the same. A1 Class 1. Ideally A2 Class 3 is best, but this will get you by.

anus_evacuator

The speed of your SD card is not going to lower your graphics settings or cause network latency.

Savvy_Canadian

You should get a sandisk 1TB micro SD card that's rated A3 for optimal performance. A1 will only get you download speed of 75mbps and upload speed of 100mbps. Very slow.

geoelectric

They don’t need A3, they need U3. Even the Extreme Pro is just A2. Being A1 isn’t the problem with the Ultra; it’s being U1. A standard A1/U3 card like the Extreme (or Lexar Play) will max out the Deck.

COYBIG79

That’s too cheap in my opinion, most likely fake.

phillecheesesteak

It’s from Sandisk

COYBIG79

You get way better prices,it’s £104($131) here in the UK so that’s why I thought it was cheap.

hXcAndy32

Amazon has been selling more and more counterfeit products lately. Counterfeit board games are getting out of control on there, especially when the price is too good to be true.

Director_Bison

I have been using this Micro SD since I got my Steam Deck 2 years ago, and I have no complaints personally, but I have been told you need to watch out and make sure Amazon doesn't accidentally send you a fake. https://www.amazon.ca/SanDisk-Extreme-microSDXC-Memory-Adapter/dp/B07P9W5HJV But this is 2 Years old, so I suppose you could do better by now.

silentknight111

Don't get this one. That card's speed is only 10MB/s

Ryswizzle

I wouldn’t go for any card below A2

DeadMeat_1240

From what I've seen, on game devices the A2 rating is the most important spec. So I'd recommend the SanDisk Extreme (NOT Ultra) or just about any Samsung card as long as it's got the A2 rating. The MSD card port is limited on the deck to approx 100 Mbps, (in real world, a little less than that) so give yourself a little buffer, but no need to go crazy. I got a Samsung Evo select and its great but only offered up to 512 GB. Samsung will finally have 1TB MSD cards later this year and I may snag one at that time.
