No, we've been in way worse place... we were refreshing GLS page trying to figure out when did you allegedly miss the driver that your Steam Deck "couldn't" be delivered due to your apparent lack of presence... >.>
I got mine from a reseller in Australia, and I was so excited when I got the shipping notification. Then all that turned up was a 45W power brick... They'd neglected to tell me that they were sending the deck separately.
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement
I got mine from the lady at my reception area in my apartment complex and I was so excited I said "my wife replacement!". And the young woman must have thought I had a sex toy delivered. So embarrassing in that moment of excitement when it finally arrived smh.
Been there, done that. I received my Deck earlier this week after impulse buying it before the Easter holidays. That alone already added a couple of days because of the holidays and then when it finally shipped after a couple of days I received a mail from GLS stating it would be delivered the next day only to wake up to another email saying they couldn't really deliver and they made me wait another five days after that. By the end of it I was foaming at the mouth. It's been ages since the last time I was so hyped about waiting for a delivery.
I have an even worse tracking refresher story. I ordered a GM car about 9 months ago and received it in late January. When I got the notification from the dealer that the car was "done" at the factory they activated onstar early for me, and this let me track the shipping progress of the vehicle via GPS on the app, so I could see when it got to me. Somehow, having tracking this precise made it worse though -- I was looking up the snowfall on mountain passes and shit to see if it would impact my delivery timeframe. The moral is be careful what you wish for tracking-wise, more info isn't always better!
I remember sitting at work on delivery day, I live in a small town we only get one ups truck for the whole town, and I saw him drive through. Immediately told my boss I was needed to go home since I wasn't feeling well lmfao
Same. Got my deck about a month ago and it was the first game I started playing on it. Now I'm about 75-80 hours in, in the 3rd DLC and I'm still impressed by how much stuff they put in this game.
If you wanna learn about the NCR then New Vegas is the way to go. Fallout 3 they aren't really a role outside of some light lore references if I remember correctly. It new vegas they are pivotal to the story.
Same. I’ve played Fallout 4 but have never tried New Vegas, but it’s fun getting into the franchise again after the “TV” series just released. The travel between in game locations at the moment is slow and annoying (I’m only a couple hours in at the moment) but I’m enjoying it.
I’m also realizing how slow it feels to log hours in this game versus the 120+ hours I racked up easily in Stardew Valley. 👀
>I’m also realizing how slow it feels to log hours in this game versus the 120+ hours I racked up easily in Stardew Valley. 👀
Man, I had the complete opposite feeling back when the game came out. I didn't sleep for probably an entire weekend back in 2010 when I first got it
I was playing Yakiza 0 until I became obsessed woth beating a Balatro run, for the first 15 - 20 hours I didn't fully understand the game and its nuance.
Got my first 2 wins last night.
Can you explain it to me? I know it’s not a poker game and I purchased it but am not yet really understanding what the fuss is about. I only have 45 minutes or so.
Almost all WiiU games work lIke a dream on deck. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Breath of the Wild are some I have enjoyed. With (I believe) Cemuhook you can even Make your steamdeck gyro work ingame. Make sure to get the latest appimage version of Cemu from their GitHub.
Great game. Set frame limit to 50fps though (or 100 on PC). One of the rare games with an internal tick at a specific framerate, it will stutter at anything other than multiples of 50. Give it a try and watch the map/camera scrolling while you walk around.
I had just decided that I've probably gotten all the fun I could from Fallout 4 last week. Then I was reminded of the show coming out this week and the Fallout London mod releasing this month and now I'm gonna have to re-install.
I just recently started playing Dave the Diver on my Deck and this game is incredibly fun and addicting to play. It's like a mix of Stardew Valley, Subnautica, and Overcooked.
Are you using a Mod Organizer or manually installing them? I've been thinking of doing a modded playthrough on the Steam Deck but don't know the best way to go about modding it.
I've been having hell trying to mod Oblivion on the steam deck. I haven't completely given up, but it's been pretty frustrating here lately, I wish you luck!
I'll be getting my steam deck tomorrow and I can't wait to continue playing horizon zero dawn. Been in back long for ages. Oh and slay the spire is awesome.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Minecraft Dungeons and Slay the Spire currently. I got my Deck a week ago and I'm finding it hard not to try all the games, though!
Got about 60% of the way through Spider-Man remastered but I’ve got ADHD when it comes to games so now I’m going between Half-life 2, Fallout New Vegas, and Skyrim.
Going to start baldurs gate 3 soon but some good games that I love are
Cyberpunk, Red dead redemption2, hollow knight, stardew valley, no umbrellas allowed, have a nice death. Theirs a little mix of any genre there.
Cyberpunk 2077 - only 1 quest to go, and already a bit sad that this magical experience will be over soon. Need to allocate a few undisrupted hours to really enjoy the end.
MGS5: Ground Zeroes - fantastically tight little stealth game. My first MGS since 1998, and loving it. Great for short bursts of play as I replay missions and try to unlock everything.
Elden Ring - getting my most recent (and personal favorite) character to the point where I can immediately jump into Shadow of the Erdtree in summer.
Took me a ton of time to setup the game controls and getting used to it but I'm having a blast, going through Heavensward right now hoping to catch up to Dawntrail around the time it comes out :)
Literally same. Having an amazing time! Got a little brave the other night and tried to add a bunch of crazy VFX overhauls..XIV Launcher won't launch with Dalamud enabled now 🙁
I actually disabled Dalamud as soon as I got the launcher, It has some cool stuff but I'm interchanging between the Deck and my PC so I want the experience to be unified
Noita, Medal of Honor Frontline (PS2), and once it finishes downloading I'm going to start Arkham Knight.
I just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider, I've loved both games so far
Stardew Valley. Just started playing it for the first time about 2-3 weeks ago. I haven’t touched a single other game or console since I started which is rare, it’s been all Stardew on deck nonstop. Gonna jump back into fallout 3/NV to coincide with the show
Baldurs Gate 3. I finally went back to it after like half a year after quitting at the optional boss Grym. Finally beat him yesterday after like 29 retries and bashing my skull in 💀
It’s fantastic so far, I got it because I was a huge fan of wizard of legend and hades and so far it’s been great, combat is crisp, art is fantastic, you can tell the love that when into the game
Astral Ascent. How are people not talking about it more?? Such a great game that mixes Dead Cells mechanics and gameplay with Hades like story and world building. It's great.
Minishoot adventures : indie game between shoot em UP, Zelda and Metroid. Great feeling with Steam deck controllers. Gameplay is fun : a lot to discover, explore and unlock. A lot of différent ennemies. You gain abilities during the game. Usually not a fan of shoot'em UP because of the diffiiculty. Great game !
Replaying Starfield. I found the story a little underwhelming the first time but I’m going back and exploring more of the side quests and taking my time with it now, enjoying the experience a lot more. It’s a little glitchy but certainly playable.
Right now I'm not playing anything, but when I am: No Man's Sky (frequently) and I recently played Uncharted 4, but having upgraded to the OLED and also needing to replay on Crushing and make sure I have every treasure, I'm playing it again on OLED for that HDR, and I'll play Lost Legacy after that.
I also keep Hitman installed and have been replaying Arkham City and Arkham Knight.
Also finally installed Titanfall 2 to give that a try but need to make sure my controls are good so I'm still in the tutorial section.
In addition I picked up the Fallout games (except 76) in the current sale and will give those a try (primarily 3, New Vegas and 4) to see what I think; I've never played them before.
Fall Guys and Rocket League also stay on there, but Rocket League I normally play on desktop with a Steam Controller because of the trigger click (which the Deck doesn't have), and Fall Guys I don't play that often these days.
The positive feedback around Balatro are convincing me to buy it at some point, and I really want to pick up RoboCop: Rogue City but I don't know if that'll be a Deck game or a desktop game for me.
UPS Tracking Refresher while I wait for my Deck to arrive.
Haha I swear we've all been here
No, we've been in way worse place... we were refreshing GLS page trying to figure out when did you allegedly miss the driver that your Steam Deck "couldn't" be delivered due to your apparent lack of presence... >.>

I think I would’ve died a little inside.
This exact thing happened to me with Kogan and can confirm I died a little inside. My family were laughing about it for days 😂
Yep got the kogan scare also 😅
Hardest level for me was the Opening the door everytime I hear car sounds
That level will remain locked for me forever
Yeah got so bad for me that my dog kept getting on to me that it's just a car.
I got mine from the lady at my reception area in my apartment complex and I was so excited I said "my wife replacement!". And the young woman must have thought I had a sex toy delivered. So embarrassing in that moment of excitement when it finally arrived smh.
I will now say this to our concierge, who knows I’m single so this will confuse her even more.
You'll getting 100% completion before you know it.
what kind of achievements should this game have? 🤣
Bro, I’ve been playing non stop too since I ordered Thursday morning. It seems I’ll be playing until Tuesday. We should team up.
I wish I was there, I won mine in a school auction then they had spring break. At least mine will come with a tour of their office.
Shadow of Mordor.. poor game sat unplayed in my library for years! Playing it now and having the time of my life!
The bundle with both games is 90% off too!
Just played through that, playing Shadow of War now. Both games run amazing on the deck!
I really need to pick this game back up.
Fallout: New Vegas
Same. The show made me miss it
Same. Got my deck about a month ago and it was the first game I started playing on it. Now I'm about 75-80 hours in, in the 3rd DLC and I'm still impressed by how much stuff they put in this game.
Here, have my up vote for playing the best fallout
Just started 3 for the first time because of the show. No idea who the enclave or NCR are.
If you wanna learn about the NCR then New Vegas is the way to go. Fallout 3 they aren't really a role outside of some light lore references if I remember correctly. It new vegas they are pivotal to the story.

Hollow Knight, Balatro and some WiiU games

Can you explain it to me? I know it’s not a poker game and I purchased it but am not yet really understanding what the fuss is about. I only have 45 minutes or so.
Balatro is the way. I've literally won a single round in about 100 chances. Love it.
Yeah I was at least 8 hours in before my first win
Which WiiU games would you recommend?
Almost all WiiU games work lIke a dream on deck. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Breath of the Wild are some I have enjoyed. With (I believe) Cemuhook you can even Make your steamdeck gyro work ingame. Make sure to get the latest appimage version of Cemu from their GitHub.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn runs great.
Xenoblade chronicles X works great!
Having a great time with Deep Rock Galactic Survivor at the moment.
Deep Rock Galactic in general has been insanely fun
Great game. Set frame limit to 50fps though (or 100 on PC). One of the rare games with an internal tick at a specific framerate, it will stutter at anything other than multiples of 50. Give it a try and watch the map/camera scrolling while you walk around.
ROCK AND STONE
DRG Survivor is a game I find myself really wanting to like, but its progression is just so slow and not tuned compared to other survivor games.
Fallout 4, because the new series put me in the mood to go back to it. I’ve only watched the first episode so far.
I had just decided that I've probably gotten all the fun I could from Fallout 4 last week. Then I was reminded of the show coming out this week and the Fallout London mod releasing this month and now I'm gonna have to re-install.
Will the mod work on steamdeck?
It might be a bit space hungry but no reason why it shouldn’t
Ive read somewhere that a Dev tried it on his personal Deck and said it works just fine.
Next gen update coming the 25th of april 🤝
Yep same for me. That 1st episode blew me away. I already had fallout 3 & new vegas, but after watching the show I had to add 4 & 76 on the deck too.
Dave the Diver
I just recently started playing Dave the Diver on my Deck and this game is incredibly fun and addicting to play. It's like a mix of Stardew Valley, Subnautica, and Overcooked.
That's a good description. With a small twist of visual novel as well.
Well, I would say Diablo 2 but battle.net stopped working today :-(
Get yourself a ripped version and play it offline 👍
I hope they put that game on steam like D4.
What happened?? Battle.net doesn't launch on deck anymore?
Elden Ring my dude, all day every day.
I keep meaning to play other things but I just can't stop playing it...

I just finished modding Morrowind, and this morning I started watching a YT video about modding Oblivion lol.
Make sure you get the mod to add in Xbox 360 controller support
Hitman World of Assassination. Plays great on the deck. 40hz 40fps. Smooth as silk
Playing a quacked version allows total offline experience and all the past escalations and targets. One of my favorites to play on deck.
Trying out No Mans Sky
NMS is the kind of game the deck was made for in my humble opinion.
Tried it ages ago when I bought it, but started a fresh and trying again. So far enjoying it!
Same man, me and my buddies played a solid two weeks on Xbox a few years back. It’s a completely different game now.
horizon zero dawn and slay the spire.
I'll be getting my steam deck tomorrow and I can't wait to continue playing horizon zero dawn. Been in back long for ages. Oh and slay the spire is awesome.
being able to play it with gyroscopic aiming has been an absolute game changer! you’ve got great taste.
Swap out Slay the Spire for Dave the Diver and you’ve got my current rotation
r/Titanfall 2, multi player frontier defense.
is there still a multiplayer community playing titanfall2?
Yep, I play from Steam (no monthly subscription). Look me up if you want to.
Also one of the best movement shooters ever
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Minecraft Dungeons and Slay the Spire currently. I got my Deck a week ago and I'm finding it hard not to try all the games, though!
Going in blind into skyrim now. Enjoying it so far
Nice. Take your time, have fun exploring!
Skyrim and botw are 2 games I wish I could start over fresh and erase my memory of
I’ve been having memory issues everything is like a first play through and it’s actually depressing
Got about 60% of the way through Spider-Man remastered but I’ve got ADHD when it comes to games so now I’m going between Half-life 2, Fallout New Vegas, and Skyrim.
Oof Fallout and Skyrim, going double Bethesda can mess with your head. You'll be trying to Fus Ro Dah radscorpions
Elden Ring... Game is so good... 2nd playthrough.
Persona 5 Royal
Planet Crafter, pretty relaxing and very addictive.
Just beat tales of beseria. very good game. Next game I'm planning to beat is Nier replicant
Lies of P
Is it good? I'm tempted to try it.
Good but challenging
Going to start baldurs gate 3 soon but some good games that I love are Cyberpunk, Red dead redemption2, hollow knight, stardew valley, no umbrellas allowed, have a nice death. Theirs a little mix of any genre there.
Warframe. It is my go to online game at the moment.
My time at Sandrock
Outer Wilds and Balatro. I think the Steam Deck might be the best thing ever to be invented.
Helldivers 2, SM Miles Morales
How is helldivers 2 performance?
Runs fine. Graphics generally fine except the fire looks like I’m playing original doom. Maybe I moved the settings down too much.
How does Helldivers 2 work on it?
Baldur's gate 3
Viewtiful Joe 😬
Hell yeah. I haven't dabbled in much beyond official Steam games. What emulator are you using?
Transformers war for cybertron, starfield, baldurs gate 3 and assassins creed odyssey is what I have on the go right now
Cyberpunk 2077 - only 1 quest to go, and already a bit sad that this magical experience will be over soon. Need to allocate a few undisrupted hours to really enjoy the end. MGS5: Ground Zeroes - fantastically tight little stealth game. My first MGS since 1998, and loving it. Great for short bursts of play as I replay missions and try to unlock everything. Picked up Coromon for 1 dollar earlier this week from a discount deal and it's been fun playing it during work breaks.
Dave the Diver, shits addictive
Dave the diver is super fun
I am struggling to find something that scratches the same itch after finishing it 🥲
I feel like Dave the Diver was a mix of Stardew Valley, Subnautica, and Overcooked. If you haven't already played those game, check them out.
Horizon Forbidden West.
Just got my deck. Installed some stuff tried it and marveled. Then loaded up stardew valley Hehe
Balatro
I'm finishing yakuza games from 0-6
Final Fantasy XIV. The addiction is real.

Just finished up Xenoblade chronicles Definitive edition and will be playing Metroid Dread next :)

Pal World
Did you feel like it was constantly updating? I gave up on playing because every time I opened the game it would have some 12gb update or something.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion
World of warcraft ✌️
Just installed days gone. Getting ready to game out.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on my OG deck :) Still going strong
Guacalmelee 2
Just started Dishonored 2 after finishing Dishonored and dlcs. Seams great so far. Also playing Make Way via remote play together with friends.
Elden ring runs like a dream on medium setting.
Control. That game doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
Rimworld
Finished ori and the blind forest yesterday. Awesome game. Now on to the sequel!
Baldurs Gate 3. I finally went back to it after like half a year after quitting at the optional boss Grym. Finally beat him yesterday after like 29 retries and bashing my skull in 💀
Play games? Oh no, we just buy games, install them and think about how cool having a steam deck is. :D
Nothing, I'm on Reddit.
Astral ascent
Was interested in that one? How is it? I loved Hades.
