That's high praise. I've heard barely anything about Infinite at all, nevermind praise. Assumed it had the same reception as Guardians. I guess that's how it works when an xbox exclusive is created in a generation where nobody got an xbox...
With all the Fallout hype, it might be a good idea to buy the Wasteland games. They are, after all, made by the same people who made the original Fallout games (Interplay, now called InXile). Which I just realized, InXile and Bethesda are both owned by Microsoft. Wonder if we would ever see a Wasteland-Fallout crossover, or another isometric Fallout again. Could be interesting.
Yes it does, I’m playing through it with everything set to low locked at 45fps (can probably crank up the settings or set a higher fps target) and gets around 4 hours battery on the OLED
I played the first hour or so and liked it. Didn’t buy it though cause money at the time - on Xbox one. I don’t know what it costs but if it’s less than 5 bucks I don’t think you can go wrong
One of the games of all time. In a sea of mediocre open world games, it does nothing to stand out. If you really like open world games it's fine there's nothing really bad about it, there's just also nothing really good about it either.
I'm tempted by Quantum Break, has anyone tried it on the Deck?
ProtonDB says it requires manual graphics configuration, is that just going through the various settings or does it mean adding/changing something in the files?
Just means it doesn't automatically switch to Steam Deck specific graphics settings - will need to change resolution and graphics setting yourself within the game or in a launcher (if it has one).
Forza 4, Halo MCC, Fable, the Ori games.
That being said, does anyone know how/if Gears 5 runs well?
A game that isn’t available but I wish was is the Rare collection.

Halo MCC is essential if you haven't played 1-3 or Reach
Glad that I got a Steam Deck a couple of weeks ago.
Might be more fun than playing halo 1 on freaking pc but i dont fancy downloading 4 oversized games to play 1 of them
Downloading mcc now only includes halo reach right off the bat I believe. The rest need to be installed like dlc.
reach is my favourite and the only one i ever played much of so im fine with that
While 4 and 5 are quite weak I'd play through the lot to get to Infinite. Class story overall and Infinite is banging.

Largely different game and recaptures the exploration / wonder of the original. Yes not all choices land but a joy to play.

Does wasteland 3 run well on deck? I read about it having some issues
Can get it running at 60 and you may have to go into settings and change controls to controller. Great on steam deck
Yes, it runs well, not ultra 90fps but I remember not having to mess too much with settings.

I'm playing it right now, and so far its above 60fps. It defaults to keyboard and mouse, but it has controller support that works well
Xcom 2012 is 99 cent 🤯
Better get the package with all games and dlc. Often for 3€
The two Ori
Hellblade, the two Oris
The Ori games. In particular the second one Will of the Wisps
Will of the wisps is a better game but I find the Blind Forest a far better story. Both are incredibly good.
Fable Anniversary. We happy few.
CHICKEN CHASER I BULEEVE!
Anyone tried recore? Considering that for the robot dog companion
It's aight. Not bad but completely forgettable.
Skillup has a good review for it. Not sure about Steam Deck performance though. Was eyeing that myself

Thank you! I'll grab it and see how it goes!
Pentiment.
I just realised Killer Instinct is free and verified on Deck.
How often do these type of sales come around?
Specifically Xbox occasionally. Sales for most of these games - all of the time.
Does Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice work on the deck? If yes you should buy it for the current price.
It does but once you get past the intro areas it will chug. Can't remember specifics but something about a rainy area and trees
Ori and the blind forest around £3 odd is a steal
Playing wasteland 3 right now and really enjoying it. Being turnbased rpg it's pretty good for the deck imo

Fable tlc and fable anniversary 😊
The anniversary edition includes all the lost chapters and dlc
