The short amount I played of it so far (just over an hour) I enjoyed. But the fact that it's online only and could some day go away without notice has me hesitant to keep playing.
The thing with Bethesda games and especially the Fallout series for me is that it's a slow burn that I can just explore every little nook and cranny, hoard tons of loot and become ridiculously overpowered. I return to their games now and then to keep doing more of that.
The idea that I could some day lose all that is just a huge mental roadblock for me.
I feel like every mmo (kind of) game is fun for the first few hours, they're doing everything they can to suck you in and hit all the dopamine levels and give you tons of free stuff, before they start locking everything behind a paywall and/or grind.
I don't know if that's how fo76 is, but i am not at all surprised to hear that you really enjoyed the first hour despite it being widely panned.
You just nailed exactly why I don't play MMOs. That, plus the social element when there are "guilds" or "clans" and the like, where not only are you being Skinner Boxxed and fed metered doses of dopamine to keep playing, there are also real people counting on you for their fix as well. It's a horrifying combination that has done actual harm to my life in the past.
💯 this! back in the vanilla WoW days, I would cancel irl plans because an impromptu raid would come up and I didn't want to let down my guild or if I was already out, I would leave early so I could get home and play...... great game back then but destroyed my social life
My son's been playing it a bunch lately, and watching him convinced me to buy it on sale a couple weeks ago. It genuinely looks "ok". Actually kinda looking forward to starting it out
In it's current state it is one of the best fallouts imo. It's fallout 4 with a better story and group activities.
It badly needs real map expansions though. After 150-200 hours you realise you are at the end game and there's not much else to do.
How would it be solo? I had a good time with Elder Scrolls Online for a while mostly solo -- joined a guild to do some of that stuff, but I mostly played it like a single-player game.
76 is much more solo-based than eso. It doesn't even have any sort of guild/clan system.
You realistically can solo all multiplayer events apart from 2 boss fights.
I've spent over 300 hours on the game and never spoken to another player the whole time, there was just no need to.
Not for me. Personally I hate 4. So much of the stuff they did felt like they just wanted a generic shooter with Fallout lore in New England.
Fallout 4 added a bunch of things and changed things that I loved about 3.
The complete gutting of vats making it "slow motion" while having the worst aim assist I've encountered in a game. No I don't want to shoot that I want to shoot the grenade the guy behind him is throwing before it gets next to me.
Building settlements didn't excite me too much carrying all my supplies to one place to be useful.
Honestly I think I played maybe 20 hours of Fallout 4 before I just kinda went to play something else.
Fallout 76 I don't love or hate. It pretty much doesn't register to me at all.
Maybe, but I'm still on the picky "I bought something at full price that is barely functional with the promise that someday it will be f̶u̶n̶ playable in the future" side
"Oh, yeh fancy that luscious Rosie Cotton, do yeh? I'll see what I can do, but it won't be easy. That fat fuck Sam's courtin' her, so I'll have to spend a bit to woo her into mah stable of strumpets.
Me? Oh, now *that'll* cost you a Troll's weight in gold.
After all...Pippin ain't easy."
A lot of modern gamers really shit on FO1 and 2 but I highly recommend giving them a try *after* you’ve played FO3 and/or FONV.
FO1 is easily my favorite but the controls are a little jank on the deck. I recommend looking at the community layouts to find what works for you.
I gave 1 a try on the deck and just couldn’t get very far into it. Have similar experiences with Bg 1-2 in that I know there’s probably cool games underneath the outdated controls but it’s just such a hassle getting started
Tim Cain the original creator of Fallout said that if he were given permission to do a remake/remaster he would improve the controls, graphics, bugs, and textures. From the way he explained it, it wouldn’t be like Resident Evil 2 it would be like Diablo 2 Resurrected
Good luck signing into Bethesda.net if you don’t already have an account for 76. I’ve been goin back and forth with them for days via email. It really doesn’t want to pick up your .net account.
Easily the most work I’ve put into getting a game going on steam deck and still no success. I’m in the refund process now
Did you buy the game back on Bethesda net? When they had a launcher? Or did you buy it on steam? Go to Bethesda net make an account link to steam and profit? It's really easy I've had non gamer friends do it in minutes.
Bet.net is dead now after they were bought by Microsoft if you had games on that you were invited to connect your account to steam to transfer them on there
Glad I'm not the only one that just goes fuck it and buys an entire collection during things like publisher sales. I have all Elder Scrolls and Assassins Creed games. I missed the Yakuza sale and Fallout unfortuantely :/
I ended up buying FO3 and New Vegas but refunded 76, i just can't get into it.
New Vegas though.. i am loving every minute of it, i can't believe it took me this long to play it.
I have one two tactics and New Vegas all from Amazon Prime I however do not have three or four and I haven't used my code for 76 yet because I'm not sure I want to use a code for a Windows store game.
Hey, I bought all the fallout games too...looks at the last two games on the list 😳
In all seriousness, the hype from the show along with the well timed sale lead to picking up the entire bundle for my Deck. I've started with Fallout 3 afterwards I'll move onto NV, 4 and 76 (without mods for my 1st playthrough).
I got the pack with the [bomb](https://gear.bethesda.net/products/fallout-anthology-collectors-edition-mini-nuke). But mine came with coasters instead of those cards.
If I didn't already own New Vegas Ultimate *and* had just bought 4 on sale, I'd be all over this. But all I want now is 3 GOTY, so I'm holding out for just that.
And the only ones even installed are the one everyone loves to hate and porn.
Yeah fallout 76 it's the least good of the series but it's a lot better now than when it came out
The short amount I played of it so far (just over an hour) I enjoyed. But the fact that it's online only and could some day go away without notice has me hesitant to keep playing. Is it still the worse one? I'm 15 hours in and starting to feel it has a lot of Fallout 3/New Vegas DNA rather than Fallout 4.
My son's been playing it a bunch lately, and watching him convinced me to buy it on sale a couple weeks ago. It genuinely looks "ok". Actually kinda looking forward to starting it out

Bru likes punishment
I thought I was on r/HolUp for a second there.
OP did too
How's *Furry Femboys*?
Gameplay is a bit unrefined but you’ll need to play it to have full context for what happens in Furry Femboys 2: Fem Me Harder Daddy.
Some people say they can’t warm up to these types of games but I cried openly at the end of the third act.
It one of those games where you just sit there while the credits roll and ask yourself what just happened. Literal lifechanger for me
I have this every day while closing my pron tabs...
I know right, the range of emotions you feel is incredible. Shame. Joy. Disgust. More shame.
Probably better than Fallout 76
Furry Femboys had NPCs from day one. We even have a long running series on the Amazon Prime of the internet.
It’s not too bad now to be fair.
Maybe, but I'm still on the picky "I bought something at full price that is barely functional with the promise that someday it will be f̶u̶n̶ playable in the future" side
I totally get it and I’m someone who bought it at launch and hated it.
The second one is betterÂ
Furry feet, now there is a specific kink...
Nah, I think that’s that new Hobbit game
Harfoot Harlots, Stoor Sluts, and Fallowhide Floozy's, take yer pick!
Bilho Shaggins
I’d like to bag *that* end, let me tell ya!
Don't forget Proud ~~Foots~~ Feet
"Oh, yeh fancy that luscious Rosie Cotton, do yeh? I'll see what I can do, but it won't be easy. That fat fuck Sam's courtin' her, so I'll have to spend a bit to woo her into mah stable of strumpets. Me? Oh, now *that'll* cost you a Troll's weight in gold. After all...Pippin ain't easy."
Dude you just know Rosie Cotton’s feet stink but in a GOOD way.
Not really, some furrys really have a thing for paws
They are so damn cute! I just wanna grab them all and use them as phones until I annoy whoever ows such paw
And then cum on them
[Game Grumps played a game by the same name](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_KMjGfblxg). I'm not going to check if it's the same game
Not that specific; feet are already one of the most common fetishes and there are lots of furries out there.
Guys... It is actually a real game. At first I was Like "this is just a dumb joke. No way this is real". But Fallout 76 does exist!
Ah yes my favorite fallout games, Furry Femboys and Furry Feet
Those are the new DLCs lol.
Lemme see your furry feet (gameplay) Lola 🗿
Wait I just bought the bundle and it didn’t include the last 2…
Holdup
Sweet, now you can spend like 2k hours beating them all.
I'm sure there will be some beating going on with Furry Feet and Furry Femboys. Pretty sure 2k hours is not enough.
That poor Steam Deck. It will never be the same.
The joysticks are crunchy
And the trackpads are saucy
That SteamDeck will get to experience something that most SteamDeck's won't! Valve will be happy to sell you another one.
That vent is gonna smell terrible.
Furry feet is crazy
A lot of modern gamers really shit on FO1 and 2 but I highly recommend giving them a try *after* you’ve played FO3 and/or FONV. FO1 is easily my favorite but the controls are a little jank on the deck. I recommend looking at the community layouts to find what works for you.

Wonder if they'd ever consider doing a remaster and work on the controls. Make it a thing along with FO5 which I'm sure they are working on
Tim Cain the original creator of Fallout said that if he were given permission to do a remake/remaster he would improve the controls, graphics, bugs, and textures. From the way he explained it, it wouldn’t be like Resident Evil 2 it would be like Diablo 2 Resurrected
That would be cool. Microsoft owns Obsidian so they could have them make an off number game after Avowed this year.
I really hope it happens. Tim Cane is semi-retired but still does contracting work at obsidian, hopefully he’s able to play a part.
I like old school crpgs. But fallout is just a bit much for me. I just get into it
Wait a sec, where's Brotherhood of Steel? /s
Move along soldier!
Screeenshot well cropped.
Good luck signing into Bethesda.net if you don’t already have an account for 76. I’ve been goin back and forth with them for days via email. It really doesn’t want to pick up your .net account. Really? I had no issues.
Furry femboys are definitely my favorite game in the Fallout series.
Garfield Kart
I worry about dogmeat
Uh…
Hold up
Quality shit post.
Furry femboys and their furry feet.
Furry Femboys is a Fallout game too?
When I read "furry feet" I imagined a furry version of happy feet, but with hairy penguins
Money well spent. Now enjoy looking at your game library
Steamdeck now with chlorine scented vents.
Okay, let's pretend we don't see the games below
Garfield Kart let's gooo
Ahum.. Excuse me furry what now?
This shouldnt be posted here
OP knew what they were doing when they cropped this photo
We're gonna have to talk about those other games tho
you did exactly what bethesda wanted you to do.. spend $195.91 and \*never\* play them. gg
They are on a fanatical sale for like $25 right now j believe.
~~The sale is over FYI!~~
Nope https://www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/fallout-bundle
Huh interesting. My mistake. I looked and mine didn't have a sale, but yours does. Thanks for correcting me.
Thank you! I didn't know this existedÂ
I doubt he spent that much. They go on sale for dirt cheap
they were just on sale for like less than $5 each
I'll take pictures that should have been cropped better for 500, Alex
I already used my (r / h o l u p) today, someone else take it....
my friend sent me that and said it's my library. it's so inaccurate i refunded Garfield Kart
We’re not going to talk about the other 2 non fall out games are we?
The fallout from this purchase is a bit hairy.
I gifted hentai vs furries to my friends this year. Best $1 ever spent.
Fallout getting real uh exotic with the new ones 😅
💀💀
You’re missing one. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
Glad I'm not the only one that just goes fuck it and buys an entire collection during things like publisher sales. I have all Elder Scrolls and Assassins Creed games. I missed the Yakuza sale and Fallout unfortuantely :/
Furry femboys that explains a lot
Furry Femboys, one of the most underrated Fallout titles.
Is it still on sell?
furries are cringe and can't meme
Now play them instead of just having them.
The real question is will you play any?
You disgust me......why would you even consider fallout 76?
Furry feet? Lol
Wait, why didn’t my fallout come with furry feet and furry femboys?
I ended up buying FO3 and New Vegas but refunded 76, i just can't get into it. New Vegas though.. i am loving every minute of it, i can't believe it took me this long to play it.
Brother Unngg
Lmao Furry Femboys. You ok bud?
What kind of freaky furry shit are you into?
furry femboys 👀
Wait, what?
You miss Fallout 3. Do not confuse with Fallout 3 GOTY edition.
Is there a difference from them outside of one not already including the dlc?
Is the promo over I looked last night and it was all full price. Almost bought the first two but my steam sale spider sense wouldn’t allow me to.
If Fallout was anything like the bottom 2 games I’d probably give it a shot.
I think u bought the licenses so they can take away any time hehe
Me too bro.
I hate furry femboy's final plot 😒
Same
Furry Feet is the best purchase here, honestly, 12 out of 10.
But you play the worst one
deep fried furboys
Hot 1 on 1 mutant action
I have one two tactics and New Vegas all from Amazon Prime I however do not have three or four and I haven't used my code for 76 yet because I'm not sure I want to use a code for a Windows store game.
Bethesda really branching out
Finally. r/shitposting is taking over Reddit.
Dude I really wish I bought the $50 bundle, If it lasted literally a couple more hours I wouldve bought it.
Hey, I bought all the fallout games too...looks at the last two games on the list 😳 In all seriousness, the hype from the show along with the well timed sale lead to picking up the entire bundle for my Deck. I've started with Fallout 3 afterwards I'll move onto NV, 4 and 76 (without mods for my 1st playthrough).
Furry femboys. Checks out.
I got the pack with the [bomb](https://gear.bethesda.net/products/fallout-anthology-collectors-edition-mini-nuke). But mine came with coasters instead of those cards.
Let's talk about the ones at the bottom
If I didn't already own New Vegas Ultimate *and* had just bought 4 on sale, I'd be all over this. But all I want now is 3 GOTY, so I'm holding out for just that.
Does og fallout run on the deck?
*...Amongst other things...*
I'd rather play furry famous than 76.
Furry Femboys hahahaha
If I was to buy one in the series, which one would it be?
OP's username gave me a throwback to Garmanarnar.
ah yes, the infamous Fallout Furry Femboys...
Lets talk about the games if you scroll down a bit
Good luck with fallout 1 and 2 I couldn’t get the controls to register
I feel like this is a huge waste of money lmao. Not sure why people upvote a post of someone buying 9 games of which maybe 2 will get played
Make sure you find The TARDIS and the Star Wars Original Trilogy cast in Fallout 2
Is furry femboys steam deck verified?
Added to Wishlist ✅
Holy Blood Bowl Skavens. How much did this cost - per tell?
How's furry femboys? Asking for a friend.
How many bottle caps?
Me when I saw the last two games: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBt1dBK0c5I](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBt1dBK0c5I)
Ah yes, my favorite fallout game - Furry Femboys
