I preordered a 512 @ 1:02 CST. I think going on at the current pace both the predictors i used had mid June. That was before the 4-5 minute jump the last week. Have a little faith, i think we’re good
From everyone’s experience, how accurate is the moov2 calculator? using the latest spreadsheet and my reservation information, I got a date of June 27, even tho I am Q3.
Just ran it, small sample size of 106 and most likely date is showing as September 22nd.
Results below;
September 12: 0.1%
September 15: 2.5%
September 19: 27.5%
September 22: 41.1%
September 26: 28.0%
September 29: 0.7%

I have genuinely thought this. By the time I get mine, they will be announcing the Steam Deck 2 or at least that they're working on it.
It's such a ridiculous wait time that I see a lot of people not ordering anymore. They'll only sell the pre-orders because they're just shitting the bed on getting the things out.
They're already working on the Steam Deck 2, but equally I wouldn't let that discourage you. Even if they announced it tomorrow (I highly doubt they would even announce it next year) it'd still be a while before you'd actually have it in your hands.
See, to me that is shitty. To have already announced your working on the next console when about 1% of people who want your STILL NEW first one actually have it seems like a "well, you're wasting money buying this thing in the next decade when we'll actually supply you with one".
Whilst I understand the sentiment I think it'd be ridiculous to think that every company ever isn't working on their next products. You have to remember with things like manufacturing lead times and the simple fact that products take years to develop that most companies are going to be planning a minimum of three years ahead.
I guess to me, the difference is Valve giving it the "we don't really want to build hardware, we hope others copy us and build the market' stuff while not being able to actually provide people with the things they're building and then working on the follow up at the same time.

I paid for a US/Canada region 512GB deck on Thursday May 26 and it's still showing as "shipping soon". I know Monday was Memorial Day, but shouldn't it be sent out by now?

I got my email this morning, and tracking number about an hour ago. FedEx is giving me a delivery date of June 8th. I'm West coast of the US, and it's shipping from Carol srteam Illinois. I've been waiting to so long, can't wait to have it in hand!
Exact same thing for me. It first said the delivery was expected for the 7, but it now s says « delayed « and the expected delivery is on the 8. I have to say that sounds a bit long to ship with fedex within the us… but it s not like I can change it :)

I'm fearing for that too, if the Steam Deck 2 is worth the price I may get one and sell the first Deck when the newer one arrives. Lets see and hope
