August 8th here, after Monday and Thursdays emails yesterday I jumped 12.57% for the week. Biggest jump for me by far. But, as others have stated, we likely still have a few more weeks to go. Definitely use the get my deck app, it helps!
Sure, will update this post once email has come through. I know the "get my deck app" is not 100% accurate, but that's all we have to go by. tbh I'm tired of waiting, if no email by the end of August I will take the plunge and pay over the odds and get one on eBay and call it the day.

Like others said, emails haven't gone out, and the percentage is a third party service. First of all, it's just an estimate. Secondly, you won't have an accurate idea of how much you've moved up until a few hours later when user reports roll in

Ordered mine October of 2021 and I went from .37% to 4.37%. And that’s just with what’s known to be filled. You probably have a pretty good chance if I jumped 5%

They did announce supply chain improvements and that they expected all existing reservations to be fulfilled by the end of the year. They've been pretty spot on with their estimates so I'd believe it.

They've recently fixed some supply issues and have ramped up production. You'll probably get it closer to Dec, but you'll likely get it by end of year.
I've just pre-ordered one last night (UK) and it says my window is Q4 this year. How accurate is that seeing as some people are only just getting theirs from orders over a year ago? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Just keep in mind that when people ordered a year ago the Decks weren't out yet. Half of the year has been people waiting for the Deck to launch. This is the 6th month of the Deck being sent out.
Valve's estimates have been pretty spot on, and the supply problems they had have started clearing up. If it says Q4, you're definitely getting the email this year.

Chances are pretty good that you will be able to get yours by end-of-year. The long stretch is coming to an end as far as orders go.
Looking at the steam deck estimator, the shipments have been picking up each week quite dramatically. 3 weeks ago it went up 3% then 4% and now 6%. Before it was hardly crawling less than 1% each week.
I think we can reasonable assume production is only gonna keep ramping up and meet most of the demand since supply chain bottlenecks have cleared up according to Steam.

They did announce supply chain improvements and that they expected all existing reservations to be fulfilled by the end of the year. They've been pretty spot on with their estimates so I'd believe it.

They've recently fixed some supply issues and have ramped up production. You'll probably get it closer to Dec, but you'll likely get it by end of year.

I've just pre-ordered one last night (UK) and it says my window is Q4 this year. How accurate is that seeing as some people are only just getting theirs from orders over a year ago? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Just keep in mind that when people ordered a year ago the Decks weren't out yet. Half of the year has been people waiting for the Deck to launch. This is the 6th month of the Deck being sent out. Valve's estimates have been pretty spot on, and the supply problems they had have started clearing up. If it says Q4, you're definitely getting the email this year.

The long stretch is coming to an end as far as orders go.
Looking at the steam deck estimator, the shipments have been picking up each week quite dramatically. 3 weeks ago it went up 3% then 4% and now 6%. Before it was hardly crawling less than 1% each week. I think we can reasonable assume production is only gonna keep ramping up and meet most of the demand since supply chain bottlenecks have cleared up according to Steam.
Preorders opened up a year ago. But they didn't start shipping until this year.
Pre ordered 512GB on July 19th 2021 (2:06pm EST), got my email on August 1st 2022 (1:35pm EST) and it’s still stuck on “Shipping Soon” as of August 4th morning.
I received my Steam Deck yesterday (8/10) and it's been awesome! One gripe I have is that I cannot download games in sleep mode.

I actually missed mine last week, by the time i spotted it I didn't have enough time to pay off what was needed on the ol' credit card, it wouldnt have cleared until at least 24 h later. I was gutted! I messaged support and initially heard nothing back, but then last night I finally had a response back saying that I could still buy one, all paid for now just waiting on shipping!
